Here's the Mayan Magnum wild prototype made by a sci-fi novelist back in 1960s

Wild Prototype The future vehicle boom in the 1950s to the 1960s which known as jet-age had a quite dramatic effect on Americans including the automotive designers at the time. Because the jet up to the space exploration has become a symbol of the new modern age which is attached to speed, aerodynamic shape, and the use of magical materials and the application of sophisticated techniques.

At that time, everything ranging from clothing, houses, workplaces, and cities all reflected the mentioned modern concept approaching, but might be there was no clearer influences than what's seen of the vehicles appearance of the era.
The Mayan Magnum is a unique two seater custom car featured with a double-bubble roof, and gull-wing bodywork. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
Not only the automotive industry players were enthusiastic in designing future car models at that time, but a number of private institutes and individuals who had a vehicle design background, and others were also involved. And sometime ago we already had discussed about some individual-made car of the time such the 1957 Galileo Concept, 1960 Di Dia 150 and others.
The Mayan Magnum seem right to embody the automaker vision whose designs and builds its bodywork into sleek hassle-free, and aerodynamics as well. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
And of the many future vehicles built based on modern concepts in the jet-age of the 1950s to 1960s, perhaps the following are the most unique and interesting for us to discuss. This quirky car (in our opinion) tends to be weird was built by an aerospace engineer, US Air Force veteran, college professor and award-winning science fiction writer named Dean Ing aka Dean Charles.
1965 Mayan Magnum by Dean Ing adopted an aircraft-style, more sculptural cockpit complete with a matching dashboard, ancillary gauges tucked behind the dashboard and grab handles for the passenger. (Picture from: eBay)
As written by Dean Charles himself in an article about those car for Road & Track in 1968, that the one-off wild prototype model which was later named the Mayan Magnum took approximately 3,000 labour hours back in 1965 to become what we could be seen today.
The Mayan Magnum cabin also has two low-back bucket seats trimmed in tan coupled with brown carpeting. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
This extraordinary futuristic-styled car is built based on the Volkswagen Beetle, while the floor panels and subframe also taken from the iconic VWs, then a 2.4-litre flat-six engine of Chevrolet Corvair is pinned on the chassis as its drivetrain coupled with the Porsche-owned gearbox. And all of the bespoke exterior and interior designs arose purely from the creative minds of Dean Charles himself.
The Corvair's flat-six large engine is mounted in back of the Mayan Magnum as its powertrain. (Picture from: eBay)
As quoted of Autoevolution, in appearance the Mayan Magnum of Dean Ing clearly influenced by European exotics, particularly the Maserati 450S Costin Coupe by Zagato and the Porsche-Glöckler 356 Coupe or might be to the Durango 95.
1965 Mayan Magnum by Dean Ing is powered by a 2.4-litre flat-six engine of Chevrolet Corvair is pinned on the chassis as its drivetrain coupled with the Porsche-owned gearbox. (Picture from: Hagerty)
From the looks of it based on exterior photos of the Mayan Magnum, it's clear that the automaker had a vision to build it with the right set of parts (like the Fiat's sleek wraparound windshield) and designed and crafted the sleek, hassle-free bodywork. The end result was no different from the form he learned during his time in aeronautics.

While inside of the Mayan Magnum, the DNA of the VW Beetle is clearly visible on the floor and the speedometer. As mentioned earlier that Dean Charles in building this unique car was so inspired by the world of aviation that it is not surprising that he later adopted an aircraft-style, more sculptural cockpit complete with low-back bucket seats trimmed in tan, brown carpeting coupled with a matching dashboard, ancillary gauges tucked behind the dashboard and grab handles for the passenger.

This unique car was ever listed in Bring a Trailer in September 2021 on the behalf of the Dean Charles family and unfortunately the Dean Ing’s brainchild car auction ended under a statement of 'Reserve Not Met,' with the highest bidding at September 7, 2021 was $11,750 or approx  Rp. 170.4 millions.😉
As quoted of eBay, finally the unique car has been sold at a price of $30,500 or approx Rp. 442.25 million in October 2021. In our opinion that's not bad number of prices, the Mayan Magnum custom built car includes all its uniqueness are worthied to sale of such prices...👍 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEVOLUTION | HAGERTY | BRING A TRAILER | BARNFINDS | EBAY ]

Yamaha officially launches an aggressive-faced futuristic electric scooter

Exciting,Radical&Superior Glad to be able to share an article about scooters again. This time what we would be discussed is an electric-powered scooter made by the well-known Japanese manufacturer Yamaha which was recently released in Taiwan. It seems that the beginning of 2022 is the right moment for the Japanese manufacturer with the tuning fork logo in collaboration with Gogoro, a Taiwanese electric motorcycle maker to present its coolest products to the world.
Recently Yamaha Motor in collaboration with a Taiwanese electric motorcycle maker Gogoro had launched an agresive look electric scooter named Yamaha EMF. (Picture from: 24htech.asia)
And recently, they had launched a unique futuristic-themed small motorcycle or scooter called Yamaha EMF. In appearence, this Yamaha unique two-wheeled vehicle has tends to be slighty boxy-shape design, but eye-catching. How could be? After we look further, it turns out that the unique scooter released in Taiwan is not an ordinary one.
Yamaha EMF has minimalist turn lights which is installed in a horizontal position and integrated with the body. (Picture from: Tmcblog)
As the name implies, EMF which means Electro Motive Fighter is the latest electric scooter made by Yamaha that carries an exciting, radical and superior concept. Exciting which means fun to ride on the streets, then Radical means daring to innovate and lastly Superior means above the average of other electric scooters.
Yamaha EMF has a unique headlights with a modern square-shaped casing and are equipped with 2 projector lamps stacked vertically. (Picture from: Tmcblog)
The design was proven to be extreme and bold. If you seen at first glance, its front section looks similar to the Yamaha Q-Bix. The difference is that the EMF has many indentations and pulls that give a fully sporty impression. Each the exterior part had a pile up layer impressions so that it gives a macho and futuristic shapes overall. Moreover, the turn lights are also minimalist which is installed in a horizontal position and integrated with the body.
Yamaha EMF also featured with a fully digital speedometer and NFC activation card. (Picture from: Tmcblog)
Not only that, the headlights also look unique with a modern square-shaped casing and are equipped with 2 projector lamps stacked vertically. In addition every line stroke of designs produces a fierce impression for the size of an electric-driven scooter. Furthermore, the Yamaha EMF has a quite light weight of only 95 kg and is powered by an electric motor capable of producing power up to 10.3 PS @ 3,000 rpm with a torque of about 26 Nm @ 2,500 rpm. As a result, Yamaha EMF is able to go from zero to 50 km per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
Yamaha EMF has large enough luggage and also could be carried two Gogoro swappable batteries. (Picture from: Tmcblog)
Interestingly, due to  the new Yamaha electric scooter used a Gogoro swappable battery, in addition to be able charge directly by connecting to a regular home power source, so it can also be done by swapping its empty batteries at the Gogoro's battery swapping facilities. Understandably, such facilities of Gogoro have been installed throughout of Taipei. So you don't have to worry about running out of battery power when riding with the Yamaha EMF around the city in Taiwan nor should be waiting in a long time only for charging the battery.
Similar to its front, the Yamaha EMF has a unique taillights with a modern square-shaped casing and are equipped with 2  lamps stacked vertically. (Picture from: Rushlane)
There's another good news, the Yamaha EMF can store two batteries, it's just the scooter weight increases if carries two batteries at once. From the previous one battery only 95 kg with the addition of one more battery then the weight becomes 114 kg (still fairly light). Uniquely, due to it has flexibility regarding battery storage capacity, there's additional benefit if you only carrying one battery, the empty battery slot can be converted into an extra luggage. It's unknown how much it could be loaded but it's okay if it's just for storing small goods.
Yamaha EMF relies on an electric motor that produces 7.6 kW and 26 Nm of torque. (Picture from: Rushlane)
Yamaha EMF is equipped with a pair of quite small tires with 10-inch rims which are then wrapped by fat tire profiles at the front 100/90 and rear 130/90. Another features embeds on this new Yamaha electric scooter is the use of aluminum swing arm coupled with four piston hydraulic disc brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS) in front and rear, dual rear shocks, Y-connect, NFC activation card and a full digital speedometer.
Unfortunately for the size of an electric scooter, the Yamaha EMF includes has a quite high tag, in which Yamaha Motor Taiwan offers the scooter at NT$102,800 or equivalent to Rp. 53 million with 3 color choices, namely black, blue and army green.😎

Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of the two-wheeled monster and stay alive with true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops...... *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | YAMAHA MOTOR | ELECTREK.CO | RUSHLANE | 24HTECH.ASIA | GREATBIKER ]

The Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept appearence at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022

Tough ONES Finally Mitsubishi Motors Corp. has officially released the Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. The concept car comes in a very unique form because it's almost similar to the Mitsubishi Xpander design.
The Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept is intended to embody Mitsubishi Motors' vision for a new Ralliart for the Monozukuri (product build quality) challenge. (Picture from: Car-Moby.jp)
Interestingly, the Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept actually appears in contrast to other previous legendary Mitsubishi Ralliart cars that are present in the form of a sedan. In this time the Mitsubishi Ralliart concept offered by the Japanese car company is present in the form of an SUV.

"The Vision Ralliart Concept embodies Mitsubishi Motors' vision for the new Ralliart and incorporates the company's powerful design capabilities," Mitsubishi said in a statement.

The Tokyo-based automotive company claims the Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept does not only rely on a sporty and premium appearance but also provides high-level comfortable. So the car can be used in various road and weather conditions.
The shape of the front and rear bumpers of the Mitsubishi Motors "Vision Ralliart Concept" are are thick with the appearance of a rally vehicle, this is further strengthened by the wider over fender design. (Picture from: Archyde)
The Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept car is intended to embody Mitsubishi Motors' vision for a new Ralliart for the Monozukuri (product build quality) challenge. How not with an exterior appearance of the Outlander, this concept car presents a firm and sturdy appearance.
The rear bumper shape of the Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept with a sporty diffuser minus exhaust pipes and decorated with the Ralliart logo. (Picture from: Carmudi)
Coupled with the shape of the front and rear bumpers that are thick with the appearance of a rally vehicle, this is further strengthened by the wider over fender design, thus further strengthening the feel of the Ralliart itself with a front grille with radiator cover and a large rear diffuser reminiscent of the characteristics of a racing car.

To support the thick appearance of the Vision Ralliart Concept as a racing car. Its character is reinforced by the 22-inches sized black wheels and wide tires. To support better performance, large brake discs and opposite piston 6-pot brake calipers are installed on the Vision Ralliart Concept which makes the SUV more confident to go fast and through any corners.

Unfortunately, Mitsubishi did not divulge the technical specifications of the car's mechanical heart. No information was given whether the race car will use a conventional engine, an engine with turbo induction, a hybrid or even an electric motor. No clue at all.

Mitsubishi only provides detailed information about the external appearance which is very intimidating. According to them, Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept is equipped with 22-inch large diameter wheels and tires. In addition there are large brake discs and 6-pot piston brake calipers. From that perspective, it seems that the concept car does have a lot of power.

Mitsubishi then presented the car in full form at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon, where the concept car was accompanied by two other cars that adopted Ralliart's signature design, the Mitsubishi Outlander Ralliart and the Mitsubishi Eclipse Ralliart.
As stated by the company's previous official release, that at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022, the Tokyo-based automotive company brought seven cars. In addition to the three cars above, the other cars on display were the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 ToughxTough, Mitsubishi Outlander Wild Adventure Style, Mitsubishi K-EV Concept X Style and Mitsubishi Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MITSUBISHI | UPI ]

The world's rarest Indian Stylemaster scooter

Indian Scoot Today we will return to discussing about the scooters. Well, the two-wheeled vehicle mode could be said the transitional vehicle product that usually had become one of the options for the automotive industry players in facing the world's economic downturn that occurred shortly after the 2nd World War ended.
1949 Indian Stylemaster posed along with another American-made scooter, 1948 Salsbury Model 85 in the museum. (Picture from: Motoredbikes)
Reportedly, the scooter was started from the unique formed two-wheeled vehicle vehicle named the Autoped firstly invented by Arthur Gibson in Long Island back in 1916, it later developed into a trend for decades all over the world following the success of two Italian manufacturers, Innocenti and Piaggio through their legendary scooter brands (Lambretta and Vespa).

Meanwhile in America, which is the birthplace of scooters, many scooter manufacturers have also emerged at that time, including those whom are well-known and have long been known in the manufacture of ordinary motorcycles. It was recorded in history that famous American motorcycle manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson also had produced scooter in 1960 named Harley-Davidson Topper.
1949 Indian Stylemaster is powered by 6 horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine. (Picture from: Bonham)
But not many know that long before the Milwauke-based motorcycle maker produced a scooter, it turned out there's another American motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle had ever produced scooter model named Indian Stylemaster back in 1949 (some said that's only reached up to prototype and never produced). Indeed, there is very little information related to scooters made by Indian Motorcycle in the past.

It began shortly after World War II ended, Indian Motorcycle was in deep trouble, their dealer network was deteriorated, their factory equipment was outdated, not to mention many other things continued to suck the life blood of a once prosperous company. Peak in 1949, they should killed their famous Indian Chief models and replaced it with a series of small vertical single cylinder and twin cylinder motorcycles.
1949 Lowther Lightnin known as one of the world's rarest two-wheeled vehicles and probably taken as the base of the Indian Stylemaster scooter made by Lowther Manufacturing Co. (Picture from: VespaForever)
And to solve these problems, the management of the company based in Spirit Lake, Iowa then contracted Lowther Manufacturing Co. of Joliet, Illinois to produce a series of small motor scooters.

At that time the company was known to produce several types of small motorcycles or scooters, and the most famous ones was the Lowther Lightnin', possibility it was then used as the basis for a new scooter to fulfill its contract with Indian Motorcycle.
At the time the Indian Stylemaster scooter was selling poorly despite being advertised as 'America's Most Modern Motor Scooter'. (Picture from: Bike-Urious)
As quoted of Bonham, at that time around 24 scooter variants were offered but it's possible that only 3 models were successfully marketed, namely the Spartan, Vagabond, and the futuristic Stylemaster.

The Indian Stylemaster is powered by 6 horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine, at the time the scooter was selling poorly despite being advertised as 'America's Most Modern Motor Scooter,' and is hardly seen it again nowadays. The scooter has a fairly unique shape featuring front and rear fenders, magneto ignition, a jiffy stand, a locking key ignition, front and rear safety guards, 2-passenger seat, and engine air scoop and a sparkling chrome headlight.

The Stylemaster production (as well as the partnership with Lowther) was discontinued after run only one year and today about 18 units of the Indian Stylemaster scooter had survived. And the scooter finished in black and brilliant red has been part of a private collection for 5 years, and also is claimed to be museum quality.
No idea if that means it’s only cosmetically perfect, or if it’s capable of running, as well. The seller claims that this is only one of two known Stylemasters in the United States, but we’re having trouble verifying that notion. Whether or not it’s 1 of 2, it’s still definitely a rare scooter and had been sold at Bonham's auction back in 2009 with the price of $10,530.

Falcatus, a Russian-made special-ops tactical armored vehicle

Putin's Batmobile Have you ever seen this Russian-made fierce car similar to the Batmobile before? It is certain that some of you have never seen it before. And we saw it for the first time in Russia Beyond's video story on Facebook social media while surfing the internet.
This is a Russian-made Batmobile likened vehicle bears unusual name of the Falcatus and is said to be the most secret custom-built vehicle for the Russian government's Federal Security Service (FSB). (Picture from: ArmyRecognition)
As quoted of the Russia Beyond, this Russian-made Batmobile likened vehicle bears unusual name of the Falcatus and is said to be the most secret custom-built vehicle for the Russian government's Federal Security Service (FSB) is built and developed by a Russian automaker Zil. This tactical armored vehicle is also known as 'Putin's Batmobile' or 'Karatel,' which means 'chastener,' and was first tested on a series of special missions of the Dagestan conflict areas in April 2016.
The Falcatus is built and developed by Zil based on the KAMAZ Master armored vehicle platform. (Picture from: Defence-Blog)
It looks like this armored tactical vehicle was developed from the ZIL Futuristic Assault Wagon Concept, and the Russian Falcatus 4-wheeled armored monster is also equipped with a number of weapons, besides being able to be used as a tactical personnel carrier in various urban missions, it can also be used as a light attack vehicle to attack or break enemy fortifications.

From the outside, the Falcatus tactical vehicle looks aggressive similar to the Bruce Wayne's Batmobile and includes to the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) category. This 12-tons weighted armored vehicle is built on the KAMAZ Master platform with a four-wheel drive system powered by an eight-cylinder engine with more than 700 horsepower. So it is not surprising, if the Falcatus is rumoured capable run up to 200 kph while carrying 12 personnel at once inside its belly.

In general, this Russian armored personnel carrier is specially made with a design that would be protected all crew inside from heavy machine gun fires, while its V-shaped bottom section will break the waves of mine explosions. Unfortunately the detailed specifications are kept secret (due to since the beginning this is the most secret Russian's military-purposed vehicle).
The Falcatus is rumoured capable run up to 200 kph while carrying 12 personnel at once inside its belly. (Picture from: Behance)
Meanwhile the Falcatus driver is protected by three armored glass plates, although somewhat blocking the view, these plates can ensure the driver is completely protected from enemy bullet targets. Not to mention the hood of this armored monster is made very long. Therefore, to overcome blind spots or parts that are not visible when driving the vehicle, the designer then added a number of cameras. That way, the driver will get a fully 360-degree view of the situation suround the vehicle.

In addition to the driver, the 12 soldiers who were carried inside the Falcatus' cabin reportedly also equipped with night vision equipment and rifle slots on the sides of the vehicle which were protected by bulletproof glass. The machine gun can be fired from two places, namely the gun slot in the rear door and the hole in the roof (where the shooter climbs out and opens fire). Not only that, at the bottom there is a special weapon that can shoot fire.

For an urban raid mission, the soldiers inside Falcatus could exit through five doors, two on each side and one at the back of the vehicle. Uniquely, the doors open in different directions so that they can also be functioned as an extra protection during a firefight.
This futuristic tactical vehicle will replace the outdated Russian army APCs used for urban missions and also said that the vehicle is stronger and faster than ordinary Soviet-made vehicles, and is claimed to be able to follow and even chase the Western countries-made cars like Mercedes-Benz and BMW, etc. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | RUSSIA BEYOND | BEHANCE | ARMY RECOGNITION | DEFENCE-BLOG ]
