The world's biggest Volkswagen Beetle

Making something unique to be able to look different, still seems to be a powerful weapon for automotive enthusiasts in making an automotive creation. Because basically all of us will always be interested in seeing something unique, eccentric or unusual.
Richard and Scott Tupper of Wicked Concepts has built a Volkswagen Beetle that is 40 percent larger (on the left) than a regular one (on the right). (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2RFiQgE)
For that many ways can be done, this can be witnessed of the work of one of the American automotive enthusiasts who succeeded in making a replica of the 1959 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible with a size 40 percent larger than the normal size. The big-sized Beetle used a license plate that says 'HUGE BUG,' was built by Richard and Scott Tupper from the Wicked Concepts, an automotive workshop at Gardena, California.

According to the builder, it all started from their automotive craze which then led to the idea to make something different to be displayed at an automotive event so that it can make people amazed while to see it.
The big and the regular. The VW Beetle at right has been made 40 percent bigger than a normal-sized version. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/37fvZUa)
This creative work began by scanned digitally the parts of the 1959 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible which was then enlarged 40 percent in size. The builder said, there are 3,514 auto parts that should be made in their metal fabrication workshop. And even the screws are made from scratch because there is no size-matched on the market.

Then the road-legal big VW Beetle was built atop an adjusted chassis of a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck. And its drivetrain uses a 5.7-liter V8 Hemi engine which is placed on the front. This car is really big with a total weight of around 6,200 lbs (about 2.8 ton), and the hood alone is about 200 lbs (90.72 kg).
Meanwhile, the inside of the car is made as perfect as the exterior, where there is one of the notable features, namely the instrument panels on the dashboard are made according to the original design but not work. Instead, there are digital instrument panels that drop down from behind its big dashboard when the driver starts the engine. And according to the builder, this big-sized VW Beetle can accommodate 10 people at once in the cabin.

In the making process of this big-sized VW Beetle, its materials alone spent about US.$15,000 and now is estimated to be worth $1.25 million. Wow!  *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | USA TODAY | STUFF]

One-off Lambo Raptor

If you thought the Lamborghini Huracan was as exclusive as Bolognese supercars get, feast your eyes on the Zagato Raptor.
1996 Lamborghini Zagato Raptor Concept car. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1D76Jte)
The one-off concept car unveiled at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show took on the insurmountable task of supplanting the Diablo (on which it's based) on the bedroom walls of enthusiastic children worldwide.

The concept car borrowed its mechanics from the Diablo VT, but while it retained the Lambo's 492-hp V12, in a gesture to insanity it did away with the traction control and ABS. Hera are several pictures of the 1996 Zagato Raptor concept. (All pictures taken from: http://bit.ly/1D76Jte)

The design, which Zagato appears to have echoed with the Spyker C12 concept, features the carrozzeria's signature double-bubble roof that tilts up with the doors not unlike the canopy on Pininfarina's Maserati Birdcage or Giugiaro's Quaranta concepts.

The Raptor was developed in conjunction with Swiss sledding champion Alain Wicki (yes, he has his own Wikipedia entry), and while public reception was hot, the car was never put into production.
All that remains is this one original show car, and the car was sold to a private collector at Pebble Beach 2003 by the auctioneers at the Blackhawk Collection. Maybe you want to see the latest Lambo car from Zagato, click here. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GERMANCAR4UM]

A special-made Diablo figure that maybe you've never heard of before

Supercar appearance which is certainly going to amaze the world's automotive enthusiasts. Moreover, what will be discussed this time is the figure of the raging bull logoed supercar known as the Lamborghini Diablo. This cool supercar is made by Lamborghini, one of Italy's premium car manufacturers based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. Although this is not the latest bull figure, Lambo Diablo still deserves to be included in the cool supercars to date.
2000 Lamborgini Diablo Coatl, a special-made Diablo variant designed by Joan Fercí and built by the Automobiles Lamborghini Latinoamérica SA. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2u40ePg)
This unique Lambo supercar is designed by Jorge Antonio Fernández García aka Joan Fercí, and completed built in 2000 by a company called Automobiles Lamborghini Latinoamérica SA. after in 1995 obtained permission from the Automobili Lamborghini SpA. to build the Lamborghini variant and distribute it in Mexico, and throughout Latin America including the Caribbean. Even the South American company also said on its official website that they were allowed to build a limited series of special track-oriented models and even made their own concepts with Lamborghini components, which would later produce and named the Lamborghini Coatl.
Left side view of 2000 Lamborgini Diablo Coatl, a special-made Diablo variant. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2rLDcMm)
One of the most special ways that they produced the car and make it unique was the fact that the steering wheel is made specifically by a single craftsman with a size that is suitable and has been adjusted to the hand and fingers of the owner. Likewise, the pedals and seats are specially made to fit the actual owner. This seat will be made of the mold taken from the person who would be driving the Coatl, while the weight will also be taken into account when finishing the driver's seat.
Dashboard view of 2000 Lamborgini Diablo Coatl, a special-made Diablo variant. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FeXbq0)
Then the car's exterior paintwork is also done in accordance with the owner's wishes, which means there are no two Coatls the same. The paint specifically was made of 14 coats of the owner-selected-shades and depending on where the sun was in the sky during the daytime, and the tint of the paint can shift from an orange to a red color with a brown highlight. And continued to the color of the interior part which is covered with genuine leather would also be dyed on the owner’s demand and even this South American company also stitched in such a way the owner's name or initials on the carpet and the seats.
Rear view of 2000 Lamborgini Diablo Coatl, a special-made Diablo variant. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/35kj3KV)
It took four years (from 1996 to 2000) to design and build the first Lamborghini Coatl, which was finally presented to the public in 2000 and named the Lamborghini Eros 2000. Those hard work results did not seem to be in vain, due to the top speed could be produced by this car no less than 385 kph (234 mph) and acceleration from rest to 100 kph (around 61 mph) in just 3.54 seconds, the engine is naturally tuned to get these numbers, with an output a power of 635 Bhp and an enlarged displacement of almost 6.3 Liters is needed!
In 2000, when the car was first officially presented to the public, it caused quite a stir among the Lamborghini's fanatics and was seen as a love-or-hate design. Because according to them, Lamborghini Latinoamérica has transformed their precious Diablo into some weird blob of metal, the term they might use to describe the figure of the Lamborghini Diablo Coatl. This is understandable because the design has always been a vital necessity for Lamborghini's hardcore fans, and if you have a bit of money left over and want to stand out against regular Murcielago and Huracan owners, this is definitely the way to do it. After 18 years, the mysterious F90 was admitted its existence by Ferrari

This is not a new supercar like the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which was launched in May 2019. As we have seen, this car is the most powerful hybrid supercar ever produced by the prancing horse logoed manufacturer. But it isn't the car that we will discuss at this time, but the figure of another car which has the name similarity is the Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale was built by the renowned Italian coachbuilder, Pininfarina in the 1990s.
1988 Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale built by Pininfarina. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SOUB21)
It all started in 1988 when the HH Sultan of Brunei (some said His Highness' youngest brother) came to Pininfarina: he wanted to build six of these unique supercars for his collection. He thought it would be a good idea to design the supercar for him based on the Ferrari Testarossa.

At that time it was also mentioned that the supercar making was classified as a secret project so that Ferrari did not even know about it. In the deepest secrecy, the Italian coachbuilder started working on this project at its based and came in with a car that was somewhat reminiscent of the Pininfarina Ethos Concept.
1988 Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale built by Pininfarina. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2u8YjJs)
And in 2005, nearly 18 years after the car was designed, Ferrari admitted that six cars had been built that was bolder than anything they had ever dared to make themselves at the time. And the "F90" name refers to the fact that it will be the Ferrari horse built in the 1990s.
1988 Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale built by Pininfarina. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SOUB21)
Technically, the car remains identical to the Testarossa: which uses a 48-valve 4.9-liter flat-12 engine capable of producing up to 396 hp of power and 490 Nm of torque to drive its rear wheels. It looks like the Ferrari F90 is built on the Testarossa's chassis with the numbers of 83096, 86390, 86626, 86784, 87195 and 88171 with the wheels and rearview mirrors position also remain unchanged.

But the similarity ends there: while the radiator position is moved to the front of the car, the interior and exterior are completely designed specifically under the direction of Enrico Fumia, the Pininfarina's head of R&D at that time.
1988 Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale built by Pininfarina. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SOUB21)
The most striking is the "Edge design" which runs around the car. Fumia calls it an "elliptical motif" and applies it ranging from the taillights, rear wings, and doors. The roof glass panel is a feature of the Fumia design and can glide on the rear window.

As far as is known after it was finished to build, and F90 has been seen running on the Monaco streets, after which a brief report appeared in the Cavallino, a Ferrari's special magazine. There is also a black and white photo of F90 from Brunei.
1988 Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciale built by Pininfarina. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SOUB21)
What is nice to know is that Fumia has also made the designs of Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider, which show some similarities to the F90 in terms of design. By the way, Enrico also sincerely hopes that one day there's one of the F90 will escape from Brunei's priceless supercar cages, so it can be seen by the world.

Come on, Your Highness, bring the super wheel to the opera venue or something so that decent images or info can be caught to be pleased the eyes of the world's automotive fans. But until today we've only could be satisfied with the images that could be seen in cyberspace such as in this article. Are you wanna see the Ferrari F50 Bolide, another member of the His Highness Sultan of Brunei's golden car cages? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOBLOG]

This is the only electric-powered Mustang pony

Radical changes made by Ford in its legendary muscle car, the Ford Mustang. In collaboration with Webasto, Ford displayed a prototype of the electric-powered Ford Mustang called the Ford Mustang Lithium at the 2019 SEMA Show.

It's said that the electric-powered Mustang has an extraordinary power that is equal to 900 hp with torque reaching more than 1,000 ft.lbs. For now, the car is available one unit only. It seems as if it wants to show the electrification process that has been done by Ford till today.

"It's no secret that Ford electrified its popular models. This Mustang prototype provided us and the Webasto the opportunity to show consumers what electricity can do for performance cars they already know and love," Head of Ford Product Development, Hau Thai-Tang said.
Under the hood, which is usually filled with a conventional petrol engine is now swapped with the Phi-Power dual-core electric motor and dual power inverters. All powered by Webasto's 800-volt battery. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/39fuFC9)
This electric-powered beast is very flat and sleek, with a carbon-fiber body. Under the hood, which is usually filled with a conventional petrol engine is now replaced with the Phi-Power dual-core electric motor and dual power inverters. All of that is powered by an 800-volt Webasto battery with EVDrive technology, where the battery power is almost 2 times bigger than the electric car batteries available on the market today.
In its black dominant interior is given a touch of blue, signifying an electric car. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/39fuFC9)
Besides using a 6-speed manual transmission system, and to support its fierce performance, a number of other additional features were installed on the Mustang Lithium such as the Brembo brake device that is the same as the Shelby GT350R, Ford Performance's Track Handling Pack and strut tower brace, and diffuser.
But in contrast to reality, it turn out was not the figure of an electric-powered muscle car which was later produced by Ford. Well, in the near future, the American automotive giant manufacturer is preparing the figure of the Ford Mustang Mach-E to be released at the end of 2020.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is the all-new, Mustang-inspired, fully-electric performance utility vehicle with power up to 332 hp and 417 lb.ft of torque capable of running as far as 300 miles. This car is able to accelerate from rest to 60 mph in just 3 seconds.

This is not the first time for this American automotive manufacturer has made a radical change process on the Mustang. In the past, Ford had also ever experimented by swapping its standard engine with the Wankel engine to become its drivetrain. Check here! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FORD | THE DRIVE | MOTOR1]

A unique VW Beetle made of wood

Back to 2013, a Bosnian pensioner have a unique way to spend time with his favorite car, 1974 VW Beetle. He managed to overhaul almost the entire car body coating with a layer of wood.

He is 71-year-old man named Momir Bojic does not want to be silent even though he is no longer young. VW Beetle initially usual classic look, add more epic, thanks to his creativity. In fact, he has prepared such a great idea, since 2005.

Everything from the bonnet to the gearstick was carved in his garden workshop - with help from his wife. Most unique classic wooden roadster

It's probably one of the most unique custom cars I've seen in that it isn't based on any particular car, and was actually built by a west-coast boat builder in 1959. Check it out, it looks like a cross between a rat rod, farm tractor, and so on. And according to VisualNews, the roadster was created based on the article in the September 1956 issue of Mechanix Illustrated magazine.
1959 All-Wooden Speedball Special Roadster. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1YgBrd)
As reported by Hemmings Daily, the Standard Catalog, as faulty and full of holes as it is, actually has an entry on the Speedball Special. They have it listed as a 1956 Buckboard, though they note that "it may have been known as the Bruce or Bruce Buckboard." That would be because they say a Donald S. Bruce designed the car. They list the manufacturer as Automotive Associates Co. in White Plains, New York.
Left side view of 1959 All-Wooden Speedball Special Roadster. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1YgBrd)
Here's the result: a modified version of the Speedball Special. The car is equipped with an impossibly rare 1952 Ariel Square Four motorcycle motorcycle engine and transmission and that the suspension was taken from a Citroen of the era, except lights, guages, etc., the rest was all hand fabricated.

A smooth-running four-cylinder 1,000 cc engine able to push out about 42 hp. That might not seem like much, but when driving the sequential four-speed and with a weight of only a mere 750 lbs this little wooden car has got to be a rocket. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | HEMMINGS DAILY | VISUALNEWS | JALOPNIK]

The biggest hopes of Melling Hellcat to catch the Veyron never happened

Of the many supercar names that did not reach the production stage perfectly and recorded sales figures or can also be said to be mere boasting. Noted there is a supercar known as Melling Hellcat in 2006.

It was a car that was originally mentioned will be the most serious competitor of the V10-engined car for Bugatti Veyron. Not only that, when it viewed from the name derived from the name of the person who developed it is clearly not just any name.
2007 Melling Hellcat is conceptualized and developed by Al Melling, a slightly mad engineer and designer who had dealings in F1 through many famous names. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sQtubV)
Well, the Melling Hellcat is a car conceptualized and developed by Al Melling, a slightly mad engineer and designer who had dealings in F1 through many famous names such as Lamborghini, Chevrolet, Leyton House Formula One and Benetton. Through his company called, Melling Consultancy Design was once the center of engine development that had succeded to help TWR win at Le Mans with Jaguar four years in a row and also had been known to develop the TVR Speed Six block which is used in many modern TVR sports cars.
2007 Melling Hellcat's interior could be described as simple, sparse but functional. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sQtubV)
But a little different for this mid-engined car, Melling decided that he didn't want to just build a custom engine and instead would take on the establishment with his own bespoke supercar. He had experience with V10s through engine development for the Lola F1 team which never came to fruition, but the engine he built for his own supercar was something else.
Al Melling in another his sports car called the 'Wildcat'. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Zi9Ul2)
It is a 6.0-liter quad-turbo V10 engine which is said to produce 1,175 bhp of power and 880 lb.ft of torque, with heads and blocks milled from a large billet of aluminum material. And the car comes with a weight of only 1,200 kg and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds (that's a surprising acceleration time figures for 2006). And for its exterior design strongly influenced by TVR, and also has a Marcos TSO GT touches within its thundering line.
2007 Melling Hellcat comes with a weight of only 1,200 kg and said to be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/377sbEl)
The Hellcat was built as Melling's motivation to enter Le Mans once again after it was previously done with TWR, with the aim being to produce a GT1 variant of the road car to take-on the endurance world. It's said to only 50 units will be produced in its Rochdale-based factory, but unfortunately, the number of cars produced has never touched or approached that numbers.
2007 Melling Hellcat used a 6.0-liter quad-turbo V10 engine which is said to produce 1,175 bhp of power and 880 lb.ft of torque. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sQtubV)
Although the lack of car production numbers, but the top speed proposed by Hellcat could be a nightmare for the Bugatti Veyron. Melling quoted 295 mph in full chat, but if we're honest and thought the claim is mere boasting. Sure, it has four turbochargers like Bugatti but according to some automotive observers aerodynamically the speed of this car has no hope of rising close to the 300 mph figures.

This is because the frontal area and general dimensions of the car do not allow such speed figures to be reached, especially with a power of 'only' around 1,200 bhp. Then at a price of around £ 185,000, it can almost be considered as a bargain even if it reaches 230 mph, which is why those claimed top speed figures make it look like a joke.
In the end, the Melling Hellcat never made it into any automotive showroom, and let the Bugatti Veyron have the world's top speed record for itself for years. That is a fantastic hypothetical part of the British-made V10-engined supercar that could have asserted itself as a performance legend even though in reality it doesn't make any sense. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOBLOG | DRIVETRIBE | SUPERCARS]

This extreme-look Espada had hefty exposed to the classic hot-rod virus

Perhaps, the world's automotive enthusiasts are more familiar with the names of the car line-ups of the raging-bull logoed Italian manufacturer like Aventador, Huracan, Miura, Countach, or Murcielago, this is very understandable. Because indeed one of the other line-ups, namely Lamborghini Espada was very little produced by the manufacturer in the 1970s.
A 1968 Lamborghini Espada was turned into an insane hot-rod styled car by Danton Art Kustoms. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/2PGNMO0)
Not only a few in numbers (more precisely limited to no more than 1,200 units), Lamborghini Espada also created full of identity that is very difficult to match with other cars even though the fellow raging-bull logoed cars.

This makes the Lamborghini paradigm unique tends to weird, it can be absolutely pinned on the figure of the Espada. The car model in production from 1968 to 1978, known as Ferruccio Lamborghini’s answer to the Rolls-Royce Corniche grand tourer in the time.
Danton Art Kustoms' 1968 Lamborghini Espada 'Rat Rod' still used 3.9-liter V12 engine and left exposed as it normally applied to the classic hot-rod tradition. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/2PGNMO0)
But what would happen if the strange figure of the Lamborghini Espada was then modified in such a way as to carry a hot-rod style that is not commonly done by automotive enthusiasts in Europe? You’ve probably able to see how's wild as Danton Art Kustoms’ 1968 Espada hot-rod.

The 'Rat Rod' as the French custom workshop refer to it and built-in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Espada at that time. Now, the car is ready to be auctioned as part of the sale of Kissimmee 2020 Mecum Auctions in central Florida in January.
The interior of Danton Art Kustoms' 1968 Lamborghini Espada 'Rat Rod' is laid out simply and combined with Tri-Colore of the Italian flag accent in the middle. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/2PGNMO0)
It might be because from the beginning the Espada has brought a unique car image so that it can be transformed into a perfect canvas in the process of creating the first hot-rod styled car built using the base of the Lamborghini car.
The interior of Danton Art Kustoms' 1968 Lamborghini Espada 'Rat Rod' is equiped with 4 custom-made seats. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/2PGNMO0)
For this vehicle, Danton built it together with CHD Edition and Carrosserie Hervé. They had some fun with the elongated grand tourer design. Although the car really looks like an intact Espada, its sweeping curves are made sharper and equipped with new side scoops.

Meanwhile, the wheelbase has been widened dramatically and its 3.9-liter V12 engine left exposed as it normally applied to the classic hot-rod tradition which also functioned as a car showpiece. It's a stunning appearance with its gorgeous stainless steel tubular headers and exhausts on full display.
Danton Art Kustoms' 1968 Lamborghini Espada 'Rat Rod' used fat Michelin racing tires that wrapped its red rims. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/2PGNMO0)
Then the process was refined by giving a matte black paint job with an Italian flag accent. Then a racing-style reinforced windshield, the interior is laid out simply with custom-made seats, and fat Michelin racing tires that wrapped its red rims to give the Espada an undeniable impression like a car that came from the Mad-Max' era.
Danton Art Kustoms’ 1968 Espada Rat Rod is expected to sell for between $200,000 to $250,000 when it goes up for auction during Mecum’s Kissimmee next year event. Considering its one-of-a-kind nature, that just might be money well spent for Lamborghini and hot rod enthusiasts alike. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | YAHOO]
