Who would have thought this coupé was made by a French manifold maker

Classic Citycar Once we were interacting in cyberspace and came across a picture of a unique and beautiful 1950s citycar posted on the Twitter of  QuirkyRides's account. After digging and searching infos related to this beautiful car in the internet. Finally we've found, it is called the Renault Autobleu 4CV Coupé.
The 1955 Renault Autoblue 4CV Coupé is designed by Ghia and bodied by Chapron. (Picture from: QuirkyRides)
Autobleu
was a supplier of manifolds to Renault and the company was established in 1950 by Maurice Mestivier and Roger Lepeytre. They developed the famous "pipe Autobleu", an improved inlet/exhaust manifold, which was a popular tuning extra on the Renault 4CV and Dauphine in the fifties and early sixties as it gave considerably more power.

Apparently then the company was interested in making cars under its own badge. And in 1953, Autobleu decided to build their own posh coupé based on the Renault 4CV. This car aimed to the rich and famous who were looking for an exclusive handbuilt citycar.

Then the French company commissioned Carrozzeria Ghia SpA. to make the design, and reportedly that the car's blue-print was done by the famous Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti who was still working for Ghia at the time. And then the first examples were made by Pourtout. Due to quality problems and production delays, the second series of cars were build by Carrosserie Henri Chapron and since then pronounced as the company's production line.
The interior space of the Renault Autoblue 4CV Coupé is very tight, wherever one sits, moreover the rear seats. (Picture from: Daaraj's Imgurl)
As mentioned above, this Autobleu classic fancy citycar was built based on the Renault 4CV legendary model and is powered by a Billancourt 747 cc rear-mounted four-cylinder engine producing 17 PS (12.5 kW) and coupled with a three-speed manual transmission system.

For 1955 Autobleu changed the rear lights, borrowed from the Frégate, and introduced a new front bumper with overrides. The cars will be available with spoke wheels or lage, chrome hub caps, although it is not clear if this ever went into production. In total, only 80 examples of Autoblue 4CV Coupé were made, as it was a rather expensive car at 2,5 times the price of a full option Renault 4CV.

Unfortunately, in addition to the high price of car products, making it difficult for them to compete in the market, coupled with the very tight competition in the automotive business at that time, as a result, the marketing of Autobleu's car models faltered. Although all Autobleu 4CV benefit from the assistance of the Régie Renault sales network. And in 1958 the French automaker should be ceased all car production and was no longer listed as an automaker.😭 Currently there is no data, how many more units of the original Autobleu 4CV Coupé have survived to this day.

In addition produced the citycar metioned above, turn out Autoblue had ever made a racing car prototype. As a newly automotive marque at that time, the French company also made promotional efforts to introduce the brand to the public to market its car products at that time.

For the sake reason in 1954, Autobleu made a racing prototype called Autobleu 750 Mille Miles. The car had a tubular frame and a tuned 750 cc engine with a streamlined ultra light body which was developed by the aerospace engineer Marcel Riffard and bodied by Carrosserie G.T.R.

In this car Jean Bianchi took part in the Mille Miglia in 1954, 1955 and again in the 1956 Mille Miglia. This one-off Autobleu 750 Mille Miles also raced at the 12 Heures Internationales de Reims in 1956 where it finished 11th. While its last racing journey happened in 1964 at the Coupe de Belgique. Here's the two-wheeled goldfish wearing BMW badge

Rolling Goldfish The BMW C400X is a fat-styled scooter with a 350 cc engine that has a very modern and stylish design. Just like other scooters, the C400X is also interesting to be modified to make it look more attractive. Indeed, the BMW C 400 X was born with the aggressive look of an adventurous motorcycle.
The BMW C400X wore the body kit of NMoto Golden Age inspired by the 1936 Henderson-Courtney. (Picture from: GridOto)
Although the scooter genre, but the overall design follows his brother BMW GS-Series. But that doesn't make Alex Niznik of NMoto feel satisfied with the standard display which it thinks is less attractive and not unique as well. The modifications made by NMoto based on the design made by Tamás Jakus of Jakusa Design are quite unique, namely that makes its appearance change drastically to be attractive, funnier and old-school.
The BMW C400X 'Golden Age' looks so unique and full of old-school impressions. (Picture from: GridOto)
As quoted of Motoblog, the BMW C 400 X previously has bold look then drastically changed to a rounded one. This package is given the name of NMoto Golden Age which is reportedly inspired by the prototype of the Henderson pre-war motorcycle designed by Orley Ray Courtney of 1936. While the body is made of carbon fiber which in the process, NMoto collaborated with a Russian workshop called Zillers Garage.
Even though the design has changed completely, the NMoto crew still retains some of the modern features of the BMW C400X. (Picture from: GridOto)
These custom bodies consist of seven parts and have many rounded curves that are full of an old impression and a distinctive grille on the front that has been the hallmark of a BMW-made vehicle for a long time. Plus the installation of the headlights using a round model adds to the classic aura, with a small turn signal like a missile.
In addition, the housing for the turn signal lights and a new exhaust system which ends with a grill under the rear body is also made. (Picture from: GridOto)
For installation, it is necessary to make new front and rear subframes to support these large bodies. In addition, the housing for the turn signal lights and a new exhaust system which ends with a grill under the rear body is also made. Next, there are also old-style headlamps and front turn signal lights and a large windscreen.
The NMoto's Golden Age body kit is made only 100 units and available in two color options and four graphic schemes. (Picture from: GridOto)
Then the seat is also made new with a design that is so elegant because it is wrapped in brown leather. Turning to the side body, there is a white bulging body. The overall design does not have a sharp line pull like a scooter in general. Even the green and white color choices used are reminiscent of the past. Then at the stern made by balancing the front. The left and right side cover are made extra large, reminiscent of the goldfish.
The BMW C400X Golden Age's seat is also made new with a design that is so elegant because it is wrapped in brown leather. (Picture from: Kompas)
Even though the design has changed completely, the NMoto crew still retains some of the modern features of the BMW C400X. Like the ABS system, automatic stability control, 6.5-inch instrument panel to a large trunk under the seat. Nothing has changed in terms of drivetrain, the old-school-styled scooter is equipped with a 350cc engine capable of reaching a top speed of 130kph. As for the weight of about 193 kg.
The NMoto's body kit is made and sold only 100 units, which makes it quite limited. Regarding the price, this body kit sells for $12,490 or equivalent to Rp. 178 million and is available in two color options and four graphic schemes.

The most expensive coupe of the Bentley's history revealed soon

Most EXPensive Regarding luxury cars, Bentley is an expert. Well, it seems that the British car brand is not satisfied with some of the expensive car products it has produced and offered. Most recently through its bespoke coachbuilder division, Mulliner, the British marque is allegedly working on a second model after the Bentley Bacalar (an ultra-luxury roofless car of only 12 units made, and launched of 2020).
Rendered image the upcoming Bentley's two-door luxury car by Autocar. (Picture from: Autocar)
As quoted of Autocar, the upcoming two-door luxury car won't be as exclusive as the sibling. Due to the number of production would be increased up to 25 units, and another difference between the two Bentley's cars is the fixed-roof presence and styling cues stemming from the Bentley EXP 100 GT electric-powered car made of 2019.

The design of the as-yet-unnamed car is supposed to be a window into future Bentley models without combustion engines, adopting cues that will be taken by pure electric vehicles from Crewe-based automaker. According to the same report, the front fascia will look aggressive with a more angular theme and a refreshed typical grille, flanked by sleek LED headlights.

Then fat wheel arches are also included in the plans for the new coupe, as are sleek taillights and other details that will set the car apart from the "plain" Bentley Continental GT.

Meanwhile, the person in charge of the exterior appearance was Andreas Mindt, who had previously designed the Bentley Hunaudieres in 1999, although the 22-year-old concept car was never produced, it played an important role in the Bugatti Veyron's design process.

Next up is the drivetrain, which is said to come from a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine also installed in the Bentley Continental GT Speed, and is said to be capable of 650 horsepower (485 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque. With these settings, the high-performance coupe can sprint from still to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 208 mph (335 kph).
The Bentley Continental GT is reportedly based off a Rolls-Royce Phantom and is a one-off prototype. (Picture from: GTSpirit)
The same power and performance is also expected to happen in this new Mulliner Coupe. While it also built based on the Continental GT Speed with large 440mm carbon-ceramic front brakes, stiffer suspension and a modified chassis, and this luxury coupe could mark the beginning of the end for the W12 engine. Autocar got information from reliable sources that the twelve-cylinder unit would be phased out "shortly after the launch of the next Mulliner model (in 2023)."
Although the 1999 Bentley Hunaudières Concept car was never produced, it played an important role in the Bugatti Veyron's design process. (Picture from: Pedal2TheMetal)
How about the price? You might be a little surprised to hear that. The basic version, if we can call it that, will cost from £1.5 million (around Rp.28.4 billion at current exchange rates), and able to increase up to £2 million (approx Rp.37.9 billion). Well, with so many high-end upgrades done by the Mulliner, it would be made it the most expensive variant in the Bentley history. So better for us right now, just wait and see. Que sera sera. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOCAR | CARSCOOPS | CARBUZZ | ID.MOTOR1 ]

Where Renault and TheArsenale are going, They don't need roads

FLYing Car To celebrate a legendary car model anniversary, the car manufacturers sometimes do something unusual but still have a connection with the model. We can see this when the French manufacturer Renault celebrates the 60th anniversary of its legendary Renault 4L model.
Renault teamed up with TheArsenale to create an electric flying car called the Air4 to celebrate the legendary Renault 4L's 60th anniversary. (Picture from: TheArsenale)
For your information, actually Renault 4L was a simple, efficient and versatile four-wheeled vehicle made between 1961-1992. Amazingly, the Renault's iconic car from has sold more than 8 million units in more than 100 countries in a period of 30 years.

In the context of the anniversary of the legendary model, Renault unmitigated intends to make a futuristic flying car by using the Renault 4L as the model and called 'Air4'. To realize this desire, the French automotive manufacturer then collaborated with an American automotive design house, TheArsenale which is touted as 'the ultimate brand dedicated to the future of mobility.'
The Renault 4L (in pictured 1978 model) was a simple, efficient and versatile four-wheeled vehicle made between 1961-1992. (Picture from: GesaInTech)
The collaboration between Renault and TheArsenale is not only about making flying cars, but has a very special value. Because this will make young people feel how to drive an iconic car, but not on the road, but flying.
The Air4 flying car concept is made entirely of carbon fiber and is also designed to have dynamic capabilities for flight by using four propellers. (Picture from: AnakTeknik)
This is actually if you look deeper, it is in line with the concept of the automotive world in the future, where everything is fast and comfortable. Yes, it can't be helped, the roads are now crowded with vehicles and jammed everywhere, so flying cars can be one of the new breakthroughs for Our world today.

As mentioned above that The Air4 retains the retro design of the legendary Renault 4L and at first glance it looks far from the design language of a modern car. Physically, when compared to its classic conventional four-wheeled model, the Air4 is made entirely of carbon fiber and is also designed to have dynamic capabilities for flight by using four propellers.
The fact is that all of the work on the Air4 flying car concept was carried out at the first European' technology park at Sophia Antipolis, Côte d'Azur, France. (Picture from: AnakTeknik)
In the design, the engineers from TheArsenale always do it with full calculation in order to get satisfactory results. Another interesting fact is that all of the work on the Air4 was carried out at the first European' technology park at Sophia Antipolis, Côte d'Azur, France.
The Air4 flying car concept is driven by an electric motor powered by a 22,000 mAh lithium polymer battery pack with a total capacity of 90,000 mAh. (Picture from: Motor1)
From a technical point of view, the Air4 is driven by an electric motor powered by a 22,000 mAh lithium polymer battery pack with a total capacity of 90,000 mAh. The maximum duration of flight is one of the matrices that needs to be considered so as not to run out of battery in the flight. Until now, flying car makers (Renault and TheArsenale) have not stated yet about how long the Air4 can float in the air with minimum power.
The Air4 flying car concept will be on display at the Atelier Renault on the Champs Elysées in Paris, France, from November 29, 2021 through the end of the year. (Picture from: TheArsenale)
The unique flying vehicle relies on a horizontal top speed of 26 m/s during flight with a tilt angle of 45° to a maximum incline of 70°. The Renault Air4 is capable of flying as high as 700 meter with a takeoff speed of 14 m/s, but is held at 4 m/s for safety reasons, and a landing speed of 3 m/s. As you could be seen, the Air4 flying car concept itself has 4 propellers on each corner and offers a maximum vectorial thrust of 380 kilograms, or 95 kg per propeller.
For 60 years, the Renault 4 has been driven by ordinary people who make it extraordinary. It is a car that symbolises adventure. It’s simple, practical, useful and as modern as it is retro. All drivers will tell you, it allows you to travel differently. That is to say, to live an adventure.

The Air4 led us to 'some kind of traveling different' which also mean the Renault 4 is ready for its greatest adventure yet under the slogan 'Where TheArsenale and Renault are going, They don't need roads'. Today, the Air4 flying car concept will be on display at the Atelier Renault on the Champs Elysées in Paris, France, from November 29, 2021 through the end of the year. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | RENAULT | THEARSENALE | MOTOR1 ]

Yamaha XSR 155 modified in modern flat track style

Custom Built Customization is one way to change the appearance of a motorcycle to be different from the factory default. Almost all components are made by hand, without deifying the aftermarket accessories available in the market.
A modified Yamaha XSR 155 done by Pap N Mam in a modern flat track style. (Picture from: Viva)
By utilizing the builders or experts to make a custom motorbike, some manufacturers are interested in changing their products to attract the attention of consumers.

As has been done by the world's famous Japanese motorcycle brand Yamaha (in Indonesia) through PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) took in collaboration with several well-known custom motorcycle workshops in the country. And one of its latest custom projects is with Pap N Mam.

The Yamaha XSR 155 has a neo retro design that can attract attention, but in the hands of Hendra Cahyono of a motorcycle builder and owner of Semarang-based workshop named Pap N Mam, the Yamaha XSR was changed to a modern flat track.
Hendra said that the Yard Built event is a place for builders and modifiers to be able to realize their dreams of developing motorcycles, which are in accordance with their own wishes.“In this Yard Built program, I carry the Modern Flat Track concept. Through this creation, I can express my ideas and innovations as a whole. All ideas and ideas about developing the bike according to my wishes came true. It's like saying, this is really my motorbike," he said, quoted by VIVA Otomotif Friday, December 31, 2021.

In the process of changing, Hendra played a lot in the legs area. So on the legs the changes look very striking. So that it doesn't look short, then he adds or connects the wheelbase of the XSR 155 motorbike back up to 10 cm (extended swingarm).
Hendra Cahyono of Semarang-based workshop Pap N Mam while on work to custom the Yamaha XSR 155. (Picture from: Viva)
Thus, the dimensions of the XSR 155 will be longer. To make it look more manly, Hendra pinned various knick-knacks on the XSR 155 he changed. For the appearance of the headlights and taillights, he carries the concept of a pop up style headlamp, where the lights can open and close automatically.

Then embed the exhaust header with titanium material equipped with exhaust valvetronic features and custom aluminum cylinders. And so that it looks macho even when parked, Hendra has attached a side standard that is equipped with the ESS (Electronic Side Stand) feature. "The reason is because in my work, safety features must still be considered. That's why I pinned the ESS feature on the side," as Hendra concluded then.
