Is it true that the first Lamborghini EV was a 2+2 GT?

Wait&See As we've heard that 2022 was Lamborghini’s final year of non-electrified model launches and in order to move into the realm of fully Electric Vehicles (EV), so the Italian supercar manufacturer, Automobili-Lamborghini S.p.A. hinted that it is working on a 2+2 Grand Tourer (GT) model which would be projected as its first fully electric vehicle, and is planned for release in 2028.
As the Lamborghini CEO hinted, that a 2+2 grand tourer model will be the company's first full EV (as a complementary illustration only, the Lamborghini LPI 910-4 Asterion Concept). (Picture from: Autoevolution)
As the automaker intended also to add a fourth model to help the company's goal of reducing the use of carbon emissions by 80 percent. According to Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, that the fourth model will complete its current lineup could be a 2+2 GT car which has not yet produced (until today), (of course you still remember that this Italian automaker had launched a similar car called the Lamborghini LPI 910-4 Asterion in 2014 even though it was only a concept).

"It will be a new style, because what is missing in the current lineup is the 2+2 GT, and I think it will be a great addition to the two super sports cars and an SUV," said Winkelmann, as quoted from Motor1, on Thursday, 30 March.
The Lamborghini' prospected 2+2 grand tourer EV model will adopt fully electric power, which will likely join into a line-up of other fully electric models coming from other major marques. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
The prospected 2+2 GT model will adopt fully electric power, which will likely rival the next generation Porsche 911 EV. The car would join into a line-up of other fully electric models coming from other major marques.

Unfortunately, Lamborghini does not want to reveal about the specifications or design. However, this 2+2 GT style car is said will adopt the Revuelto style. However this car would not be a replacement for the Huracan or Revuelto because Lamborghini says that the technology will not be enough to match the performance of the two top-class supercars.
There is a possibility that the Lamborghini' prospected 2+2 grand tourer EV model will adopt the axial-flux motor technology that has been embedded in the Revuelto which will increase power and efficiency. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
Even so, there is a possibility that Lamborghini will adopt the axial-flux motor technology that has been embedded in the Revuelto which will increase power and efficiency. While for other models, such as its SUV model, Lamborghini Urus which said it will receive a significant update next year by transforming into a PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

In the other hand, Lamborghini is also preparing a successor to the Huracan which powers by electrical motor combined with a petrol engine. Then, there is the Revuelto whose name has just been released to replace the Aventador which is the first PHEV from the manufacturer bearing the raging bull logo.
And related video above is the Lamborghini Asterion intended only to be a complementary illustration. Finally, is it true that the first Lamborghini EV was 2+2 GT? Well, for sure we can only wait until the time comes in 2028. Yes, we'll wait and see.😎 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1 | AUTOEVOLUTION | WINNIPEGSUN ]

Here comes the Revuelto V12 Hybrid with over 1,000 hp

New BEAST As previously stated by Automobili-Lamborghini S.p.A. some time ago, that the Italian premium automaker company will launch a new car that it calls the Aventador' successor on March 29, 2023. And sure enough on that date the Italian company launched the Lamborghini LB744 Revuelto that's referred to be a High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) capable of generating power up to 1,001 hp!
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto known to be the Aventador' successor has the exterior design heavily inspired by many futuristic elements, up to fighter jets, aerospace, etc. (Picture from: Carwowuk)
This newest Lamborghini' hybrid supercar is built on a monocoque chassis that is updated by adding more carbons. The automaker claimed, that's 10% lighter and stiffer than the Aventador so that the car can be more stable even though carries a new engine and battery. Therefore, no wonder if the total weight of the Revuelto is still around 222 kg heavier than its predecessor.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto has DRL LED matrix lights resembled horizontal Y letter which can glow up to 400 meters. (Picture from: GoOto)
Furthermore, the Revuelto' exterior design is heavily inspired by many futuristic elements, up to fighter jets, aerospace, etc. So while you look at the exterior silhouette, it glanced reminds us of the Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37, where we can see clearly its unique LED DRLs resembled horizontal Y letter under the hexagonal projector headlights. Besides that there're the Lamborghini' typical aggressive body style were enhanced the Revuelto' hallmark sharp curves.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto is packed with dimensions of 4,947 mm in length, 2,033 mm in width and 1,160 mm in height with a wheelbase of around 2,779 mm. (Picture from: KabarOto)
From the side there is also a new design, the front fender has ventilation to reduce wind resistance, and the rear fender has ventilation directly to the engine room. Then there are also additional carbon side skirts with winglet details at the ends. While at the back is no less interesting, because Lamborghini added a kind of high mount stop lights at the top of the rear window. Uniquely, the stop lights also has resembled to a horizontal Y such as its front section with a dual hexagonal exhaust output flanked in the middle.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto retains the low-slung silhouette and 'wedge' shape of the Aventador and, just like every V12 Lambo since the Countach, it has vertically-opening scissor doors. (Picture from: Carwowuk)
As quoted from Carscoops, the name Revuelto derived from a Spanish fighting bull, though it also means 'scrambled eggs' in the same language, which is not lost on Lamborghini as it launches its first-ever full production vehicle that mixes dual power sources, which consists of an expansion core of the new naturally-aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine (813 hp @ 9,250 rpm, 725 Nm) coupled to three electric motors, and a new eight-speed dual clutch transmission system to drive its all-wheels.

Thus the power generated by Revuelto is greater than Ultimae which is only 780 hp. Well, with such bursts of engine power, the Revuelto is able to accelerate from rest to a speed of 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds, while 0-200 kph takes less than seven seconds before reaching a top speed of 350 kph.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto looks beautiful and elegant in premium genuine leather, combined with a special material called Corsa-Tex covered all parts, from the dashboard, seats, to the steering wheel. (Picture from: KabarOto)
Meanwhile, if this supercar is driven using only two electric motors located on the front axle (e-axle) with a power of 180 hp, the Revuelto can cover a distance of nearly 10 km in quiet mode. Then where is the location of the third electric motor? Lamborghini explains that the third unit is tucked into the aforementioned gearbox, where the entire gearbox has been enshrined behind the engine to make room for the battery pack mounted in the 'transmission' tunnel.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto presents three separate screens on the dashboard. (Picture from: GoOto)
To support the pace of running, the Lamborghini Revuelto is equipped with Bridgestone Potenza Sport is the mainstay tire (256/35 ZRF20 at the front and 345/30 ZRF21 at the rear). There is also a choice of 265/30 ZRF21 for the front and 355/25 ZRF22 for the rear tires. For those who want to drive it specifically on snows, there is a choice of Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tires.
The Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto referred to be a High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) capable of generating power up to 1,001 hp, that consisted of the new naturally-aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine coupled to three electric motors. (Picture from: KabarOto)
While to tame its fierce power, the automaker given the ultimate brake system to the Revuelto which is consisted the large discs CCB Plus (Carbon Ceramic Brakes Plus) coupled with ten-piston embedded front calipers by using 410 x 38 mm wide brake discs. While the rear disc measuring 390 x 32 mm is escorted by four-piston calipers.
The Y-shaped rear lights of Lamborghini LB 744 Revuelto are similar to the ones found on the Centenario limited edition, and the shape of the roof is inspired by that car as well. (Picture from: KabarOto)
As mentioned above, the Revuelto is a plug-in hybrid supercar, so this supercar is also able to offer emission-free driving, thanks to a very small lithium-ion battery pack (3.8 kWh capacity). Furthermore, the Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy based premium automaker said that this supercar is equipped with a battery pack that can be charged for 30 minutes using 7 kW of electricity, or in six minutes using V12 pulses as an electric pen.

The interior of the Revuelto looks beautiful and elegant in premium genuine leather, combined with a special material called Corsa-Tex which is made from recycled polyester, which is available in 70 color options. These premium materials cover all parts, from the dashboard, seats, to the steering wheel. There is also an 8.4-inch vertical touch screen media. As well as a 12.3-inch digital speedometer panel in front of the driver, and a 9.1-inch passenger side screen.
In order to present a more sensation in driving, Lamborghini gives more driving modes to the Revuelto, namely Recharge, Hybrid, Performance, Citta (city), Strada, Sport and Corsa. For example, in Recharge mode it can recharge the battery while driving for only six minutes. While Citta allows the car to move in electric mode only. Meanwhile, Performance brings out all the power potential of the car, while providing a more agile transmission response.
As quoted from Carwowuk, this newest raging bull supercar is reportedly has a price tag starting at £ 450,000. Thus the price imply that Lamborghini's newest hybrid supercar is worth £70,000 more than a Ferrari SF90. Wow! Keep in mind, so far the Italian premium automaker not mentioned yet about the prices and how many this Revuelto would be made. Thus, prepare everything needed, especially funds, and not to forget also seek info about unit availability, if you want to be one of Revuelto owners. Happy Hunting....😎 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LAMBORGHINI | CARSCOOPS | CARWOW.UK ]

The Aventador successor coded LB744's powerful hybrid drivetrain is revealed

New BEAST After the discontinuation of production of the Lamborghini Aventador, recently the car manufacturer based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, Lamborghini announced the engine specifications that will provide power to Aventador's successor codenamed Lamborghini LB744. Besides that it seems that the Italian supercar manufacturer seriously about electrification its car-made. Let's see in detail.
The rendering image of the Lamborghini LB744 supercar looks has smaller headlights with side air ducts, and different rear fenders of Aventador. (Picture from: Motor1)
As quoted from Carscoops, Lamborghini LB744 is said to carry the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, by combining a new L545-coded 6.5-liter V12 conventional combustion engine combined with three electric motors, aka oil-cooled axial dynamos, in which two dynamos positioned on the front axle and the other one at the rear.
Lamborghini reveals LB744 hybrid technology for the Aventador successor supercar. (Picture from: Otomotif-Kompas)
Then from the power and torque side, the L545-coded conventional combustion V12 engine is also said to put out more power, namely 813 hp and 725 Nm which is then channeled to the rear wheels via the new 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Lamborghini LB744 has a battery positioned in the central tunnel, an electric motor driving the front wheels and a V12 engine at the rear. (Picture from: Otomotif-Kompas)
Furthermore for each electric motor that is implanted in the car, it weighs 18.5 kg which is capable of producing a total power of 148 hp and 500 Nm of torque. So if the power generated by conventional combustion engines and electric motors are all combined, then the Lamborghini LB744 has bursts of power up to almost 1,000 ponies. It's fierce enough right?

This means that when that much power is accumulated, it is still supported by three electric motors, so when the V12 engine delivered power to the rear wheels, the electric motor turns it into an all-wheel drive supercar with sophisticated torque vectoring capabilities, which also drives all four wheels in EV-mode only.
This hybrid system from the Lamborghini LB744 has a conventional V12 engine capable of spitting out power up to 813 ponies. (Picture from: Otomotif-Kompas)
Meanwhile, the weight of the machine itself is claimed to be 17 kg lighter when compared to the Aventador SVJ, which weighs 218 kg. Besides that, this machine is also claimed to be more powerful when compared to the Aventador SVJ which has been recorded so far as the fastest Aventador edition.
Meanwhile, the weight of the machine itself is claimed to be 17 kg lighter when compared to the Aventador SVJ, which weighs 218 kg. (Picture from: Voi.id)
For the power supply used is an 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery placed in the transmission tunnel between the driver and passengers, measuring 1,550 mm in length, 301 mm in height and 240 mm in width. Meanwhile, charging the battery only takes about 30 minutes (if you use a 7 kW plug). Besides that the battery can also be charged using energy from the regenerative braking system on the front wheels.
Unfortunately, the raging bull emblemed automaker company hasn't revealed the full electric mileage of the LB744 or even any other detailed technical specifications of cars will get this new hybrid system. So be patient until the Italian manufacturer launches the successor to the Aventador. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LAMBORGHINI | CARSCOOPS ]

Now the production of this supercar has officially terminated with the launch of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae which is the last model of these series. The car is powered by a pure V12 engine. Reportedly, the Aventador successor is in the process of work by Sant' Agata Bolognese based automaker. It was even stated that Lamborghini had confirmed the mentioned successor would be debut in next few weeks.
The Lamborghini Aventador's successor supercar has smaller headlights with side air ducts, and different rear fenders. (Picture from: Motor1)
Even so, Lamborghini has not announced the name of the new supercar. However, there are rumors that this car will be named of Revuelto. Of course this makes we even more curious. Furthermore, as reported by Motor1, this car is said to still have a familiar design with the lights appearance similar to the previous Aventador.
The Lamborghini Aventador's successor supercar patented image. (Picture from: Motor1)
As you can see from the pictures posted on the Motor1, in the front, it has smaller headlights with side air ducts, and different rear fenders. No wonder with such headlights looks, the Aventador successor looks more aggressive. At the rear has the same lights fixtures with two large exhausts mounted in the middle.
The spy shot picture of the Lamborghini Aventador's successor supercar wrapped in camouflage while on snowy terrain road test. (Picture from: Motor1)
While for the interior there is still no clear picture of what it will look like, but what is certain is that the cabin will get a new design. As for the engine, this supercar will still be powered by a V12 engine as its powerdrive. However, according to several sources, this latest model will apply hybrid system, because Lamborghini plans itself to switch to fully electric mobility in 2024.
Furthermore, the drivetrain is estimated to be able to issue a maximum power of more than 1,000 hp. So with that amount of power, it means that this car will be able to reach speeds of 96.5 kph in less than 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of more than 322 kph. It's fierce enough right? Well, for more details, let's just wait for further news...😎 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1 ]
