Coolest Chrysler's supercar ever

Coolest EVER For a bit of nostalgia by featuring article about a row of great supercars that ever made in the 21st century. The world of supercars is dominated by the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, and so many others – but these are not the only players in the game. You might be surprised to learn that Chrysler, an American automaker also tested the waters of the supercar market in the early of this 2nd millenium.

Back in 2004, Chrysler unveiled the ME Four-Twelve supercar, which was not a concept car but a prototype of a car that was slated to be put into production. The car debuted at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, and the Arizona International Auto Show that same year.

The Chrysler ME Four-Twelve supercar concept is considered as the most advanced car ever produced by the American automaker. It has a perfect combination of high-power engine, to-die-for looks, and great performance. To begin with something to be said about the looks. To say that the supercar looks great would be just an understatement. If you are a supercar lover and has a fantasy for a supercar style, this one will surely make your jaw drop out of awe.

Amazingly, the ME Four-Twelve supercar's body is made of carbon fiber, no wonder if it was very light. In fact, the carbon fiber and aluminum are the lightweight materials  are widely used to build a supercar concept. It is said that it took less than one year for Chrysler to come up with this such beauty. The supercar's body also completed with chrome-moly sub frames and stylish aluminum crush structures which not only adds to the style quotient, but also resulted into compliance with U.S. federal regulations for crash or impact testing. Overall, a solid supercar, but at the same time looks very stylish thanks to the tons of work that went into the conceptualization.

The interior is surprisingly spacious for a concept car that is only about 45 inches tall. There is a wide enough leg room and there is a large glass roof panels from the windshield to the rear header. The suspension consisting a group control of aluminum double wishbones, stainless steel push-rods, anti-roll bars, and assisted by a power-steering. All openings in the body of the supercar has been optimized to improve thermal performance. The spacious cockpit intelligently designed to accommodate comfortably even a taller people.

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve supercar powered by a dynamic ME quad-turbo, V-12 engine that lives up to expectations. This kind of engine are taken care of by a high efficiency cooling system to ensures the engine stays cold all the time. The such engine capable produces an incredible 850 horsepower and 850 ft-lbs of torque, which allows it to accellerate from 0 to 60 mph (96.56 kph) in just 2.9 seconds and to 100 mph (160.93 kph) in just 6 seconds! Compare that with the Ferrari Enzo, which takes 3.1 seconds to hit the same speed-numbers!
Rear view of Chrysler ME Four-Twelve. (Picture from: MotorTrend)
All of that power is delivered to the wheels via a seven-speed Ricardo double-clutch transaxle with Formula One-style paddle shifters mounted on the steering column. Chrysler engineers calculated the top speed of the car to be approximately 399.12 kph or 248 mph (this has not been confirmed in the real-testing), enough to compete with other concept cars in its genre.

At this kind of speed, you would expect the system to double braking efficient. The braking system consists of a large 15-inch brake disc rotors and calipers six- piston mono-block. What this means is you can press the brake comfortably even at very high speed and sports cars will stop screeching. Disc brake rotors are carbon ceramic composite and the calipers are made of aluminum to improve performance.
Chrysler ME Four-Twelve supercar also features many active and passive aerodynamic equipment to give optimum performance at even very high speeds. There were only two ME Four-Twelves were ever built. Today, both cars is on display at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It’s a shame that this brilliant example of engineering and design was never put into production.😭 *** [EKA [16022014] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CHRYSLER | MOTOR TREND]

Too bad this Jeepster was never produced

Should Be Made Speaking of Jeeps, as one of the legendary American brands (and We're sorry if have to discuss a little about this American automaker). As We all knew, the American brand's history cannot be separated from the Willys-Overland Motor Company, which was started when John North Willys acquired the Overland Automotive Division of Standard Wheel Company in 1908.
The Jeep Jeepster is one of the most iconic concept nameplates within the brand built back in 1998 and should be put into production lines because they look so cool. (Picture from: Supercars.net)
And those fortunated brand started to find its fames in the 1930s, when the Uncle Sam began to involve in war in Europe and urgently needed a new military vehicle capable of the supporting role of motorcycles or other cars and other sidecar vehicles on the battle-fields. At the time, the US-government called on the US auto manufacturers to produce new military vehicles.
The Jeep Jeepster as the iconic off-road brand rolled its modern take on the legendary nameplate on to the stage of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) to much appraise. (Picture from: ConceptCarz)
In short at that time after going through a comprehensive selection process, the Willys-Overland came out as the winner and was awarded a contract in July 1941 to produce the legendary war vehicle, Willys MB Jeeps, and  its production ceased at the end of the war.

After the 2nd World War ended, Willys switched production to a civilian version, called the CJ-2A, actually was an stripped version of military MB. And in the 1953, the Kaiser Motors acquired Willys-Overland and changed the name to Willys Motor Company. And in the 1953, the Kaiser Motors acquired Willys-Overland and changed the name to Willys Motor Company.
The Jeep Jeepster is painted an intense red with contrasting deep blue fender flares and side panels, starts with the traditional Jeep grille. (Picture from: ConceptCarz)
Once again, the company changed its name in 1963 to Kaiser-Jeep Corporation, and the use of the Willys name was discontinued in 1965. The company was sold to American Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1970. After the sale, AMC used engines it had developed for its other cars in the Jeep products to improve performance and standardize production and servicing.
The Jeep Jeepster originally developed under the 'Project Grizzly' codename to search Jeep's heritage, and inspired from the rare and now quite collectible 1950 Willys Convertible. (Picture from: ConceptCarz)
Renault purchased a major stake in AMC in 1980 and took over operation of the company, and producing the CJ series until 1986. Chrysler acquired AMC in 1987 then replaced the CJ series with the Jeep Wrangler, which had little similarity exterior appearance in common with the previous CJ series. And FCA (since 2021, Stellantis) takes control all production of various vehicles under the Jeep's brand at the Toledo Complex today.

After going through a fairly long journey by presenting a variety of dashing vehicles. Not surprisingly, almost all vehicles that carry the Jeep's name plate are very close to the world's adventure and manhood. Like the automakers in general, which in their manufacturing activities have also made various kinds of concept vehicles.
The Jeep Jeepster is powered by the same 4.7-liter V8 from the not-quite-released Grand Cherokee of the era, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. (Picture from: ConceptCarz)
Well, of the many concept vehicles that Jeep has ever made back in the 1990s, there are some that in our opinion should be put into production lines because they look so cool. The concept mentioned above is the Jeep Jeepster Concept, a crossover styled vehicle that combined the attributes of a sports car with an off-roader, the idea was a fairly radical back in the 1990s, but a wholly normal one now.
The Jeep Jeepster featured with an electronic four-wheel-independent, adjustable suspension raises or lowers the vehicle four inches and adjusts the attitude for a more aerodynamic on-road ride. (Picture from: Supercars.net)
This concept car was developed by the American automaker Jeep back in 1998, and compared to the Wrangler of the time, the Jeepster looked like it came from two decades in the future. And sure enough, even it still looks pretty modern now. The Jeepster was dominated by short overhangs, a long hood, flared fenders and a coupe-like roofline with a soft top that rolls all the way back. It even had an electronically adjustable suspension to maximize capability both on and off the road.
The Jeepster used the same 4.7-liter V8 from the not-quite-released Grand Cherokee of the era, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. I think something like the Jeepster could totally work in 2022 as a road-oriented counterpart to the Wrangler. It could be built off the next-gen Grand Cherokee's platform, and gave it a chance to be the next Stellantis's inline-six, and bam! You've got a Jeep "sports car."😍 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CNET | SUPERCARS.NET | CONCEPTCARZ | MOPARINSIDERS ]

Pininfarina designed the sophisticated NAMX HUV featured with removable hydrogen capsules

Hydrogen-Cells As We all have knew, if the gait from Pininfarina S.p.A. or Pininfarina, the famous Italian automotive design house is no longer in doubt. The long journey of the company founded by Battista 'Pinin' Farina in 1930 has been legendary by working on many projects commissioned by various renowned car brands in the world such as Ferrari, Maserati, Cadillac, Nash, Peugeot, Jaguar, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, MG, Cisitalia, Lancia, and many more.
NAMX and Pininfarina unveil the HUV, a hydrogen powered suv partially fueled by removable capsules, paving the way for a seamless and carbon-free experience of mobility. (Picture from: BlackXperience)
It should be noted that of the many brands that have worked with the Italian design house, it turn out not all of them are well-known brands, there are also new brands that have not been known to the public before. And one example is the new French automotive brand of NAMX, and known to be owned by Paris-based automotive startup was founded by Thomas de Lussac, together with Faouzi Annajah.
The NAMX HUV clearly seen the 'Italian' trait of Pininfarina and the ambition to subvert the paradigms of the future green mobility. (Picture from: AutoDaily)
Well, although the electric car market is not as hot as the electric-powered car market, it turns out that the hydrogen fuel-cell car market is also starting to get crowded, so the new French brand is interested in trying its luck here, by introducing a hydrogen-powered vehicle called NAMX HUV (Hydrogen Utility Vehicles) which is also the result of the design collaboration between those French startup and Pininfarina.
The NAMX HUV looks quite striking with a super large pentagon front grille featured with the grille's outline clearly visible through the crossed LED strip implementation at the front. (Picture from: BlackXperience)
As quoted from the Pininfarina.it, the collaboration-result vehicle carries an SUV style and has an aggressive appearance. How not, the environmentally friendly SUV looks quite striking with a super large pentagon front grille. Moreover, Pininfarina gives the grille's outline clearly visible through the crossed LED strip implementation at the front.
The side view of the NAMX HUV made the car looks so big with an 'X' shape element meets in the center line of the door. (Picture from: MomoTrix)
It is also clearly seen the 'Italian' trait of Pininfarina and the ambition to subvert the paradigms of the future green mobility. It could be said, that the NAMX HUV (Hydrogen Utility Vehicle) has a strong line and looks to the future of the automotive industry thanks to its patented hydrogen fuel-cells system, consisting of one fixed tank and six removable capsules, which guarantees the car driving over a total distance of 800 kilometers.
The NAMX HUV featured with six small hydrogen capsules such like this. (Picture from: MomoTrix)
Meanwhile, when it viewed from the side, the car looks so big with an 'X' shape element meets in the center line of the door. Not to forget the bottom of the car and the fenders are also equipped with black plastic cladding and bumpers strengthened the SUV's feels.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the car is at the rear. As You can see, there're many design elements that are enough to make the bottom crowded and the 'X' shape design at first glance reminiscent to similar one attached on the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 and Terzo Millennio Concept.
The NAMX HUV has many design elements that are enough to make the bottom crowded and especially the 'X' shape design at first glance reminiscent to similar one attached on the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 and Terzo Millennio Concept. (Picture from: H2.live)
This car also has another interesting parts just above the rear bumper. It can be seen clearly that NAMX intentionally exposed 6 horizontally lined hydrogen capsules. That's not only for aesthetics, these six fuel-cells are indeed a kind of hydrogen plug-n-play tanks that can be removed and replaced, or even filled easily if needed.

NAMX did intentionally make their hydrogen technology a major attraction of the car, and reportedly has been patented. As mentioned above, this fuel-cells technology consisting a large fixed hydrogen tank attached on the car coupled with 6 small, easily removable capsules, that's makes the car's recharging process as easy as swapping batteries on an electric-powered scooter. But that's a big challenge for Pininfarina, due to NAMX desires the presence of those 6 removable capsules should be integrated into the overall design of the car.
The rear of the NAMX HUV featured with the ports for its hydrogen capsules. (Picture from: AutoDaily)
Unfortunately, NAMX did not reveal the capacity of the hydrogen tank yet.😥 But the French auto startup said that the HUV's drivetrain would produced power of 224 kW or 296 horsepower to drive the rear wheels and made it has an acceleration capability from still to 100 kph in 6.5 seconds and reached a top speed of 200 kph.

But for those of you who want a higher performance number, it turns out that NAMX has also prepared a more powerful version called GTH which will have a powerful drivetrain almost double than the standard version of 410 kw or 542 horsepower. Not only that, the configuration also turned into the All-Wheels Drive (AWD) system with acceleration performances to only 4.5 seconds and the top speed increased to 250 kph.
As mentioned earlier this fuel cell technology can guarantee the car driving range as far as 800 km with all its fuel-cells full. Unfortunately the French startup not explained how much capacity can be filled by the six removable capsules.😯

Furthermore, NAMX will launching the HUV for the first time at the 2022 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l'automobile) and targeting to be able send into the market soon in 2025 with the price tags ranging from € 65,000 or around Rp.990 million to the most expensive ones reaches € 95,000 or around Rp1.44 billion. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PININFARINA | NAMX.TECH | BREAKINGLATEST.NEWS | HYDROGEN-CENTRAL | AUTODAILY | H2.LIVE ]

As You can see in addition to the unusual body styling, the Celica Cruising Deck has a 1920s-inspired rumble rear seat and a window between the front and rear seats. The glass is not fixed as the inside can be lowered into a folding divider that doubles as a bottom cushion for the rear seats.
Toyota Celica Cruising Deck also had added a cool matching trailer to carry something versatiles for Your beach leisured activities such jet skis, surfing boards, etc. (Picture from: AutoBlog.nl)
To make it even more special, Toyota attached simply  headrests to its large rear-wing. At the time the Japanese automaker also had added a cool matching trailer to carry something versatiles for Your beach leisured activities such jet skis, surfing boards, etc to this odd sports coupe.
Toyota Celica Cruising Deck is powered by a 1.8 Twin Cam with 187 hp, was linked to a six-speed manual gearbox that delivered the pony to drive the front wheels. (Picture from: AutoBlog.nl)
Unfortunately, the Cruising Deck remains a concept although it was in reasonable production-ready form, powered by a 1.8 Twin Cam with 187 hp, was linked to a six-speed manual gearbox that delivered the pony to drive the front wheels. When it launched to public for the first time at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, then-Toyota CEO Katsuhiro Nakagawa described it as "cool, sporty, and a lot of fun!"
However, when the exhibition ended, slowly but sure, this odd car would be forgotten over the time. Luckily for those of you, whose still have the pictures, so could be took it as an inspiration for Your next car creations.🤔 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TOYOTA | MOTOR1 | AUTOBLOG.NL | CARCONNECTION ]

The Holden Retro Magic Touch

HOTROD Today A concept car creation has a number of purposes, including could be a place for designers to freely express their imagination without any practical limitations, to contribute to the creation of a new technology that finally found a solution for any vehicle that can be used someday.
The EFIJY is all about fun, emotion and imagination. It shows what a bunch of clever and talented design people can do when they are let loose to create something really wild. (Picture from: GM Holden)
Back to the Past but not Coming from the Past, perhaps it is to be conveyed by Holden when launching a concept car named the Holden EFIJY Concept, the car is said to be a modern hot rod interpretation inspired by one of Australia's most famous car on the past, the
Holden FJ of the 1953 and launched for the first time at the Sydney Motor Show in October 2005.
The Holden’s handbuilt EFIJY hot rod has taken the top spot in America’s 2007 concept car awards. (Picture from: WallpaperVista)
It's appeared under a special soprano purple paintwork which has multiple layers of translucent pigmented topcoats to create and riches the deep effect to highlights the 5.2-meter lengthed curvaceous body of the classic car, to reinterpreting the classic design cues of the iconic Holden FJ. Furthermore to maximize its authentic look, all the shiny parts of the concept vehicle are made of handcrafted aluminum billet and as You could be seen clearly on the FJ's signature stunning front grille finish.
The Holden’s handbuilt EFIJY Concept posed along with Richard Ferlazzo during the 2007 North American International Auto Show. (Picture from: The New York Times).
Although it appears in a thick classic touch, it does not mean that this car is not equipped with modern and sophisticated features. As You can see, there's a proximity sensor to open the door automatically as the driver approaches. While inside the EFIJY's cabin was revealing deep cream genuine leather twin classical seats equipped with integral belts, the folded-out touch screen LCD under a retro radio style to control many fuctions such as the adjusters to car's suspention and seat, entertainment systems, navigaton, etc.

And behind the steeringwheel all are set in the body-coloured metal dash as the 1950s FJ's typical style there're a digital speedometer, color-coded tachometer. There are pearlescent, Bakelite-look push button controls for the electronic automatic transmission and the hard curved floor is finished in figured maple timber veneer with aluminium inserts.

The EFIJY’s gorgeous appearance could be more exposured through an adjusted air suspension system. Only by a single touch of the LCD screen, it can hunker down to just 27 millimetres from the ground or rise to a more practical drive height. The use of LED headlights and taillights controlled by independent applications inside the car, including high beam and sill plate illumination lights with some of them have dual filament, so allowing them to emit different colors depends on the application.
The EFIJY's interior with a mix of classic-luxurious feel with a touch of today's technology seemed pinned into the concept. (Picture from: CarBodyDesign)
As mentioned before, although the car looks very strong under the 1950s retro theme, but still brought the touch of futuristic styles. As the result, the EFIJY Concept designed by the Australian automaker company in 2005 and has toured all over the world since then. To strengthed its classical and radical coupe looks, the EFIJY is powered by a supercharged six-litre V8 Corvette's engine under the hood.
The EFIJY Concept's lights are 100% using only LED’s and several are dual filament, allowing them to emit different colors depending on the application. (Picture from: CarBodyDesign)
As driven by a Roots-type supercharger, the engine delivers peak power of 480 kW (645 hp) at 6,400 rpm and torque of 775 Nm (560 ft-lbs) at 4,200 rpm. Such performance figures are equal to the output power spew out by another supercars at the time, and almost 11 times greater than the 45 kW (60 hp) offered by the original Holden FJ back in the 1953.
The EFIJY Concept is powered by a supercharged 6.0-litre LS2 V8 engine and modified by a well known mechanic throughout the Australian automotive and motorsport industry and an ex-FJ Holden racer named Ron Harrop. (Picture from: DieselStation)
The EFIJY’s engine is mated to a rear-mounted four-speed automatic transmission featuring push button electronic control and also limited slip differential has been fitted for obvious reasons. The custom designed exhaust is a stainless steel 2.5-inch dual system with customised compact headers and billet aluminium exhaust tips.
The Holden EFIJY Concept is a radical pillarless custom coupe boasting V8 Supercar power under the bonnet and based on Chevrolet Corvette underbody. (Picture from: CarBodyDesign)
The engine power output is transferred to massive 22-inch by 10-inch billet aluminium wheels with fluting which echoes the FJ’s more modest original 15-inch by 4-inch wheels. Reflecting its street sled heritage, the front wheels are 20-inch by 9-inch. The brakes feature 381mm (15-inch) grooved and ventilated rotors front and rear, combined with six-piston aluminium calipers at the front and four-piston aluminium calipers at the rear.
As said by Richard Ferlazzo, the Holden's Chief Designer, the EFIJY was made by the Australian automaker to commemorate the 50th FJ's Anniversary so to realize it then the company invited almost 20 suppliers with the latest in mechanical, electronic and material products and ideas. Unfortunately the one-off won't ever hit showrooms as a production model and ended as the Holden's show car only and nowdays You could be seen it sat on display at the National Motor Museum at Birdwood, South Australia.🤗*** [EKA [25072013] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GM HOLDEN | STUFF.CO.NZ | CAR BODY DESIGN | THE NEW YORK TIMES | GOAUTO ]
