This is the only 2-stroke engine had managed to get the Euro5 certified

Unique ONES When we hear about the 2-stroke engine, we usually immediately imagine an engine with a crisp sound with a puff of smoke. Right, as it is known that 2-stroke engines often produce high emissions which are said to have a bad impact on the environment and health. So that then makes many automotive manufacturers have to change their business strategy by no longer producing 2-stroke engines.
Langen Motorcycle had launched a typical cafe racer style motorcycle which is equipped with a round headlight, exotic tank, plus a sharp stern shape and is powered by an eco friendly two-stroke engine. (Picture from: Kompas)
Meanwhile today, we enter an era that requires motorized vehicles should be had minimal or even zero pollution, and as we could be seen today, there are many countries in the world had been awared and then paid great attention to the air quality, as one of the reasons why 2-stroke engines gait rarely seen milling around on the streets.

But now the 2-stroke engines seem to have second chance, because reportedly, there are manufacturers who are able to make 2-stroke engines could be passed emission tests and get the Euro5 certified. Even, it could be said as the only 2-stroke engine that has passed the Euro5 emissions test at this time.

The manufacturer that produces the 2-stroke engine in question is Langen Motorcycles, a British motorcycle manufacturer under the Vins company who is not join in the other to leave the production of 2-stroke motorcycles. Even they can be gave the hope to revive the glory of 2-stroke motorcycles by birthing the cool engine innovation. For the first time, the Langen's 2-stroke engine can get certified and pass the emission test amid to the strict of the Euro5 regulations.
Langen Motorcycle had managed to developed a two-stroke engine called Langen Deucinquanta can pass the emission test amid to the strict of regulations and get the Euro5 certified. (Picture from: Kompas)
The machine mentioned above, which later called as the Langen Deucinquanta, (the Italian for 'two fifty' reffered to the engine displacement). After the Euro5 certification obtained, certainly will make motorcycles that use it as a drivetrain can be produced and rode legally in Europe. As quoted from Visordown, the Langen' machine is featured with a design and performance cannot be underestimated at all. And reportedly, this machine offers specifications and design like a MotoGP racing machine.

But how did Langen Motorcycles come up with this eco & health feiendly 2-stroke engine? Of course this cannot be done in a splash without any significant calculations and innovations. It can be said that Langen Motorcycles has made a bold and brilliant steps when making changes to its engine system, and reportedly, the work is carried out by a former Ferrari technician recruited by Langen Motorcycles.
Langen Motorcycle is built on a tubular model chassis so no wonder if the weight of this motorcycle is very light at 114 kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 660 hp per tonne. (Picture from: Kompas)
Well, this British manufacturer made changes to the design in such a way that the engine is able to produce low emissions. And the design changes include changes to the feature of the shaft being rotated in the opposite direction to increase performance, besides that they also implementing a direct injection system.

Meanwhile, this direct injection mechanism is carried out by the injector located in the cylinder head by spraying fuel directly into the combustion chamber which had filled with the air supplied by the intake. This system is considered successful and able to increase combustion efficiency, increase fuel economy and reduce emission levels.
Langen Motorcycle's engine is claimed to be capable of producing power of around 75 hp at 11,700 rpm with 45 Nm of torque at 11,700 rpm. (Picture from: Visordown)
Then the Langen engine is a 2-stroke V-twin 90 degree engine with a capacity of 249 cc, by using fuel injection supply. The engine is claimed to be capable of producing power of around 75 hp at 11,700 rpm with 45 Nm of torque at 11,700 rpm. Although on paper the performance figures are not impressive in today's era, in which the superbike engine has been able to spew power up to 200 hp, but it should be remembered that the Langen engine capacity is only a quarter liter.
Langen Motorcycle uses Ohlins' 43 mm telescopic front suspension and the legs use a pair of spoke rims and is wrapped with Dunlop Classic TT100 tires. (Picture from: Visordown)
Then maybe some of you are curious about how a motorcycle that uses an environmentally friendly 2-stroke engine looks like? Still quoted of Visordown, Langen Motorcycles, which is an automotive manufacturer from Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, is said to be producing around 100 units of cafe racer-style motorcycles powered by the Langen Deucinquanta engine, and also reportedly it is specifically purposed to use in the racing tracks.
Langen Motorcycle is said to be producing around 100 units of cafe racer-style motorcycles for the racing tracks purposed only. (Picture from: Visordown)
And the motorcycle is built on a tubular model chassis so no wonder if the weight of this motorcycle is very light at 114 kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 660 hp per tonne. So that with a burst of engine power of around 75 hp, it is able to carry it up to a top speed of 225 kph. Interestingly, the cafe racer-style motorcycle has undercowl at the bottom.

Next, how does it look? As previously mentioned, Langen Motorcycles appear in a typical cafe racer style which is equipped with a round headlight, exotic tank, and a sharp stern shape typical of the cafe racer style. Then this motorbike uses Ohlins' 43 mm telescopic front suspension and the legs use a pair of spoke rims and is wrapped with Dunlop Classic TT100 tires measuring 120/70 front and 150/60 rear.
And for those of you who are interested, the Langen Two Stroke is offered with a starting price of £28,000, although as is the nature of bikes such as this, the machine can be tweaked to the owner’s desired specification. And the completed machine will be on display prestigious Salon Privé later this month, while the official unveiling will take place at Blenheim Palace from the 23rd – 26th September.😃

Here's a worthy candidate successor of the Porsche 918

Concept ONLY Making a new design of a car model can be done by anyone. Means both ordinary people and professionals can do it anytime and under any conditions. They are free to interpret the shape of their dream car in the design sketches.
Porsche Cyacan concept designed by Dalibor Vidojkovic said to be a worthy candidate successor of the Porsche 918. (Picture from: Formtrends)
This is also had done by a famous designer who had worked at Mercedes-AMG in Stuttgart named Dalibor Vidojkovic. He worked for the German automotive company as a senior exterior designer and it is known that in his eight years of as profesional was involved and responsible for facelifts of the Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes 222 S-Class, and many other AMG products.
Porsche Cyacan concept is described as the future purely styling concept car of Porsche based on the signature mid-engine hybrid sports car package and is meant to celebrate style, speed and power. (Picture from: Formtrends)
Besides that, he is also known to sketch a lot of car designs from various brands in his spare time. And in this time he did not design a Mercedes-AMG model instead a Porsche. He made this car design completely independently during the Covid-19 lockdown period when he was battling the severe disease.

Well, the Porsche Cyacan is the name used for the concept car design made by Dalibor Vidojkovic. The concept was made possible with the help of Piline Engineering Gmbh & Co KG. and is described as a purely styling concept based on the signature mid-engine hybrid sports car package and is meant to celebrate style, speed and power while imagining the design direction that the future Porsche cars. But unfortunately in the design concept, there are no figures or dimensions of strength that were disclosed.
Porsche Cyacan concept adapted the iconic forms of the world's classic racing of the '60s and '70s can also be seen in the helmet-likened concept car aerodynamic canopy. (Picture from: Formtrends)
Vidojkovic was a big fan of 1960s racing cars, and the Porsche Cyacan design concept seemed to embody the classic silhouette of a mid-engined car and the iconic shape of traditional race cars from the era. The designer further describes that the car concept exterior design is combine of muscle, shape and volume to support the strength, speed and power.

Furthermore, the iconic forms of the world's classic racing of the '60s and '70s can also be seen in the helmet-likened concept car aerodynamic canopy is inspired by the Group C racing cars of that era featured with the metal windshield surround extends down into the hood and incorporates an aerodynamic flaps at the base, while the DLO's sleek shape is reminiscent of the famous Porsche 911 model.
Porsche Cyacan concept  is more classical and less distracting to emphasize the volumes for of the exterior design as wellas the overall proportions of the car. (Picture from: Formtrends)
Meanwhile, in terms of profile, the contrast of technical, fine and functional details is juxtaposed with the clean and muscular volumes of the surrounding panels. The front and rear end design, meanwhile, is more classical and less distracting to emphasize the volumes for of the exterior design as wellas the overall proportions of the car, which in our view looks similar to the Mercedes-AMG ONE concept car at first glance especially the rear.

dUE TO this is only a design concept WITHOUT figures or dimensions of strength that were disclosed. Of course there are no plans to build a working prototype. But it could a worthy successor of the Porsche 918 if the Porsche Research & Development Centre in Weissach had wanted to build one. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FORMTRENDS ]

Finally the latest hybrid V6 engined of Ferrari revealed

At THE END Still fresh in our memories, some time ago we've been discussed about the prancing horse logoed premium car manufacturer being testing a v6 engined car covered by a strange-looking camouflage known as the F171 around its plant in Maranello which is said also projected as a rival to the McLaren Artura.
Ferrari officially launched the latest V6 engine model called the Ferrari 296 GTB. (Picture from: Roadandtrack)
And recently, Ferrari officially launched the latest V6 engine model called the Ferrari 296 GTB (GTB for 'GranTurismo Berlinetta'), as we know that the Italian manufacturer last launched a V6 engine model back in the 1960s and called the Ferrari Dino 246 GT

And the Ferrari 296 GTB sports car is the third of three promised cars for this year. Meanwhile its first SUV called Ferrari Purosangue (Italian mean for 'thoroughbred' or 'pure blood') is expected to launch next year (2022). And specifically for the 296 GTB model, it will be launched in 2 variants, namely the standard version and the tough and track-oriented Assetto Fiorano version.
The Ferrari 296 GTB 'Asseto Fiorano' variant is described as the tough and track-oriented version. (Picture from: GridOto)
Also, for the first time in a mid-engined sports car, Ferrari uses active aero devices to create downforce instead of reducing drag. The mentioned kit is inspired by the Ferrari LaFerrari, which includes an active rear spoiler integrated into the rear bumper.

The Italian manufacturer claims that this device is said to be capable of producing downforce of up to 360 kg at 155 mph when embedded in the tough and track-oriented Assetto Fiorano package. Even in the standard version, it produces 100 kg more than its predecessor.
The Ferrari 296 GTB is powered by a hybrid drivetrain consisting of a 2,992cc V6 turbocharged engine coupled with an electric motor. (Picture from: Roadandtrack)
The car has also been outfitted with distinctive design features promoting its visual connection to other new-age Ferraris, including the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Roma, while clearly distancing this newcomer Prancing Horse species from the Ferrari F8 Tributo and its closely related 488 GTB ancestor.
The Ferrari 296 GTB will be priced at €269,000 or $321,000 for the standard version, while for the Assetto Fiorano version which has spectacular capabilities will be priced at €302,000. (Picture from: Roadandtrack)
However, Ferrari also admits that this model is inspired by its legendary classics such as the 1963 Ferrari 250 LM, which is evident in the design of the B-pillar, hamstring and stern crest. While the cover windshield is a keyword borrowed from the unique Ferrari P80/C and the Ferrari J50, known as the Ferrari species specifically for Japan.
Ferrari 296 GTB is powered by a 2,992cc V6 turbocharged engine to develop 654 hp alone. (Picture from: Roadandtrack)
The car also has a number of air intakes made as small as possible (for a cleaner look) by blowing hot air under the car, meaning cold air must be separated from the rear intercooler, while the hybrid system cools the vents towards the rear, while the front of the car can be optimized aerodynamically with a more conical design than before.

Then the use of "Aero" calipers, which are inspired by the SF90 Stradale, also allows a number of optimizations for downforce. They are cooled by an integrated duct in the headlights by creating a space to bring the underbody as deep as possible to the floor and thus "exaggerates the suction caused by the floor effect".
The Ferrari 296 GTB uses active 'Aero' flap devices to create downforce instead of reducing drag inspired of the LaFerrari model. (Picture from: Roadandtrack)
Meanwhile, as a drivetrain, this car carries a hybrid drivetrain consisting of a 2,992cc V6 turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor, all of which are capable of pumping power up to 818 hp (in which the gasoline engine alone develops 654 hp, while its electrical motor assists the power of 164 hp).

Furthermore, for performance, the new Ferrari 296 GTB is able to accelerate from rest to 100 kph in just 2.9 seconds, to match the F8. Then to speed up to 200 kph in 7.9 seconds or half a second faster than Tributo. On flats, the new car can be accelerated to a top speed of 330 kph, slightly slower than the conventional V8 engined Ferraris.
With performance figures like that, on paper it clearly seen that the Ferrari 296 GTB is slightly powerful than its British rival Artura. But if in real conditions it has never been proven which one is more powerful. Maybe it's waiting for you to take it races against Artura in the circuit.😉
For the price, the Italian manufacturer says that the two-seater sports car will be priced at €269,000 or $321,000 for the standard version, while for the Assetto Fiorano version which has spectacular capabilities will be priced at €302,000 (approx Rp. 5,202 billion). And the first shipments are expected to be realized in the first quarter of 2022 for the European consumers. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FERRARI | MOTOR1 | ROADANDTRACK ]

Will Bugatti launches the Chiron Roadster?

What...? In 2020, it was reported that Bugatti Automobile SAS would produce the Bugatti Chiron Roadster, which had been said just a rumour. As quoted from Motor1, that the Bugatti Chiron variant which made its debut four or five years ago which was then followed by the emergence of various other variants such as Super Sport 300+, Pur Sport, Divo, Centodieci and La Voiture Noir. And the propective Bugatti Chiron roadster is said to be built under commissioned for one Bugatti's special clientfor one Bugatti's special client.
In 2020, it was reported that Bugatti Automobile SAS would produce the Bugatti Chiron Roadster, which had been said just a rumour. In Pictured: 2008 Bugatti Veyron Barchetta Concept. (Picture from: Carscoops)
Unfortunately, information regarding the Bugatti Chiron roadster is tightly closed at the time. Only said, to be sure, this car is only made once and is available in one unit in the world so its production cost is claimed to be very expensive. Many predict, the Bugatti Chiron roadster could cost more US $10 million (pre-tax) or the equivalent of Rp.141 billion.
Collection of rare Bugattis at automaker's headquarters in Molsheim, France. (Picture from: MotorAuthotity)
This is reasonable because the standard Bugatti Chiron alone is priced at US $3 million or Rp.42 billion. And as reported of MotorAuthority, although the price is more expensive than the Bugatti Centiodieci, the Chiron roadster is still far less than the price of the Bugatti La Voiture Noir which is sold for US $18 million (approx. Rp.255 billion).

For the drivetrain, rumoured that the Bugatti Chiron roadster will carry a 16-cylinder, 8.0-liter quad turbo engine capable of spewing out 1,500 hp. That is, the car will be one of the fastest roadsters ever made. Since it was built for only one unit for special client as well, the design was definitely very special, no wonder if the price could be reached three times the price of a standard Bugatti Chiron.

Then how the response of the Molsheim, France based car manufacturer related to this? As reported by the RobbReport which states that they have confirmed directly to Bugatti's management. And the management of those French manufacturer stated that, "The information is just a rumor."
However, it seems that the public, especially those who fans of these French premium automotive brands still hope that one day the car maker will launch a Chiron Roadster variant. And to treat a little curiosity, the French manufacturer some time ago presented "Le Cadeau" ('Gift' in the French) in the form of a unique luxury watch to keep your priceless time while in driving the New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTORAUTHORITY | ROBBREPORT | ANDONICARS ]

Here's what the Ferrari 288 GTO Retro looks like

Concept ONLY As mentioned in the previous article, the Ferrari 288 GTO is one of the most desirable Ferraris out there. By considering there're only 272 units were ever made during its production period between 1984 and 1987. So it is not surprising that the price has now become very expensive and currently the price estimated has reached more than $3 million or approx Rp.44.3 billion.
A modern re-interpretation of the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO designed by Valentino Rajan. (Picture from: BlackExperience)
Not to mention there has to be tight competition among the wealthy collectors to get it. However, some deep-pocketed Ferrari owners have found another ways to own this Italian-made dream sportscar, and even they're should not hassled of maintaining an old vehicle that sometimes also needs an unreasonable maintenance cost.

Well, they could be done a bespoke model based on the modern Ferrari units. It is could became an opportunity for people to own the Ferrari of their dreams with all kinds of design influences. The same can be seen from previous examples and has been done for years and even there's a rumor that a modern interpretation of the legendary Ferrari F40 sports car based on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is on its way.
A modern re-interpretation of the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO designed by Valentino Rajan. (Picture from: BlackExperience)
So why does the same thing couldn't be happened to the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO? Perhaps, that was the talented rendering artist named Valentino Rajan thinks while making this car design. As quoted from Behance, as you can see it is a theoretical design, if the Ferrari 288 GTO were reborn today.
A modern re-interpretation of the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO designed by Valentino Rajan. (Picture from: BlackExperience)
By considering the original 288 GTO was a mid-mounted sports car, the modern version is also made under the same layout. So it's makes two current models that are worthy of being used as the donor cars, namely the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Ferrari F8 Tributo. The first car donor would obviously allow it to be a hybrid supercar, and definitely could be an interesting idea for somes.
A modern re-interpretation of the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO designed by Valentino Rajan. (Picture from: BlackExperience)
Furthermore, like the original car, this new re-interpretation model also has a more angular style. The protruding wheel arches even remind us to the Lancia Stratos. And there's a large rear wing, eventhough it would not be found on the original 288 GTO, but still made it looks pretty cool.
A modern re-interpretation of the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO designed by Valentino Rajan. (Picture from: BlackExperience)
Other cool styling elements looks pinned on the front fascia featured with a line of the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and the modern pop-up headlights. If there really was a customer demand for such a reborn 288 GTO, there's no guarantee the prancing horse car stable would accept the car project, unless they knew for sure it could be done. Because so far it is known that Ferrari has a reputation for being very strict in maintaining its car's designs.
However, this does not rule out the possibility that the opposite will occur, if there's an influential client wants it. Besides that, the Maranello-based manufacturer also has a long history of working on such challenging projects. Again, this is just an imaginary design that might be made into reality if anyone wants it. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BEHANCE | TURBO ]

Here's the first LiveWire's electric motorbike model after split up with Harley-Davidson

New ONES As we all know, LiveWire was originally a variant of an electric-powered motorcycle developed by the famous American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson. But recently, LiveWire has officially announced become an independent brand specializing in producing electric-powered motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson flag.
LiveWire One is the first LiveWire electric-powered motorcycle model, ever since it became an independent brand, but still under the Harley-Davidson flags. (Picture from: Electrek)
"We finally officially introduced our electric motorcycle brand LiveWire, to open up the opportunities in the market and become a market leader for electric-powered motorcycles. By becoming an electric motorcycle brand, LiveWire will be the future of motorcycles, which are fun to take on adventures or to ride in the city," said Chairman, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson, Jochen Zeitz, at that time.
LiveWire One electric motorcycle is reported to offer power up to 75 kW or the equivalent of 101 hp. (Picture from: WallStreetJournal)
As quoted from Visordown, now as independent brand after officially parting ways with Harley-Davidson, it's reported that LiveWire had launched an all-electric motorcycle model for the first time called LiveWire One. It's said that LiveWire will have its own showroom, it's starting in California and will expand to other cities or states. In addition, LiveWire allows its consumers or motorists to make online transactions.
And turn out, this specification figure is still lower when LiveWire was still a Harley-Davidson electric-powered motorcycle concept by offering the power of 78 kW or the equivalent of 105 hp. (Picture from: MotorpassionMoto)
In terms of the model naming, it's reminds us of what Harley-Davidson did when they introduced their first motorcycle model in 1905-1906, namely the HD Model 1 is powered by a single cylinder 440cc engine, which was able to make the Model 1 speeding up to a top speed of 56 kph.

Back to LiveWire One, this electric motorcycle is reported to offer power up to 75 kW or the equivalent of 101 hp. And turn out, this specification figure is still lower when LiveWire was still a Harley-Davidson electric-powered motorcycle concept by offering the power of 78 kW or the equivalent of 105 hp.
However, the difference is that LiveWire One will be sold in an affordable price tag, so it can be owned by many people. Furthermore, it's also said, LiveWire One had been included in the list of motorcycle variants to be introduced in 2021, although it is not known yet exactly how much battery capacity it carries and other detailed technical specs.
