Acura RDX's version production made like its prototype

So far Acura has been ridiculed often because of its exterior design which is not in accordance with the theme carried. Yes, Honda's luxury brand always presents products with a boring and tend to be weird shape. 

But now they are starting to clean up and present a line up that really looks luxurious. One of the newest models recently shown at the North American International Auto Show 2018 is Acura RDX Protoype.

Yes, this mid-size crossover car is ready to enter the third generation. Although it comes with a Prototype frills, but if seen from its shape it looks like this car is ready to enter the production line. This means that the exterior design will not be much different or even exactly the same as what you see today.

This latest crossover has also adopted the latest Acura design language. Pentagon-shaped grille is his trademark. The main lights are decorated with sharp lines and have Daytime Running Lights LEDs. Besides that, the main lights already use Jewel LED which is also the identity of the latest Acura model. The rear lights form the letter C and twin exhausts to show a sporty impression.

The cabin, to give the impression of luxury luxury brands from Honda, applies aluminum accents and wood trim. Acura claimed that the seats in RDX were the best ever made. Because the chair is able to be adjusted to the wishes of up to 16 types and 4 types for the waist.

Following the current trend, RDX Prototype comes with no automatic transmission lever. So when you want to run or turn off the engine, you can simply press the desired button. Just like the exterior design, this compact crossover interior looks like a car ready to be produced in large quantities.

As a luxury car, features that can help drivers when driving must be pinned. This car is equipped with Hill Start Assist, Surround-View Camera System, front and rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, and Blind Spot Information System.
To drive this car, Acura engineers immersed the SH-AWD (Super Handling - All Wheel Drive) system. This system has torque vectoring features so that handling on the highway and off-road is very good. And for the all wheel drive system has four driving modes, namely: Sport, Sport +, Comfort, and Snow.

An AirSpaceX's Autonomous Flying Taxi Concept

Autonomous and electric-powered vehicles have changed the face of land transportation, then the evolution of energy that accompanied it inspired many to continue to adopt these technology.

And it seems also that has helped inspire the Airspace Experience Technologies (AirSpaceX) to develop a concept of air transportation system by initiating a flying taxi project called MOBi-ONE. These concept has been introduced to the public at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) event in Detroit, United States some time ago.

This aircraft was designed and manufactured by Detroit Aircraft (DAC) which is a subsidiary of AirSpaceX at Detroit City Airport.

And later, after MOBi ONE has undergone the entire Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification process, it will be operated by AirSpaceX. Since 2011, the company and its partners have collaborated to create prototypes and develop several designs from the VTOL concept itself.

The MOBi-ONE is designed as an autonomous vehicle, which can carry 2 to 4 passengers or cargo above 200 kg/440 lbs to an area that is within 60 miles (96 km), including the airport and city center. Its VTOL design allows it to take off like a helicopter, then positioned its wings and fly like a plane with a top speed of 250 mph (402 km/jam).

Passengers will be treated to broadband connectivity for high-speed internet access and can enjoy the flights safely and comfortably in a V2X collision avoidance system and a security message system. MOBi-ONE is able to learn by itself and will eventually be able to operate without a pilot. But for now, there are still pilots accompanying it during the flight.

According to Jon Rimanelli, the Detroit Aircraft and AirSpaceX's founder and CEO said that the MOBi-ONE will ultimately offer environmentally friendly, quiet and timely air travel at reasonable prices. But Rimanelli did not disclose how much it would cost per trip.
Rimanelli also claims the MOBi-ONE will be ready for demonstrations starting in 2020. Furthermore, JP Yorro, at AirSpaceX's Chief Commercial Officer said, that the plans to launch 2,500 MOBI-ONE aircraft by 2026, which will be distributed in the 50 major cities in the United States.
The MOBi-ONE has the potential to be used more than just a taxi. This can also be used for medical and evacuation purposes, as well as research and surveillance operations. While AirSpaceX believes that the MOBI-ONE concept will reduce the urban's road traffic and travel time.

Toyota's unique cruiser concept

The Japanese automotive giant, Toyota, is trying and seeking the attention of world's automotive enthusiasts by presenting a unique concept car, which is named after the Toyota Tj Cruiser Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017.

They combine the cargo-van design character with embedding the tough properties of the SUV. As quoted from Carscoops, Friday, October 6, 2017 according to Toyota, this model is designed for consumers with a working and playing lifestyle that goes hand in hand.

While the initials TJ itself stands for "Toolbox" and "joy". In addition to the box design embedded in this concept car, the Tj Cruiser has a special coating used on the hood, roof, and fender, to protect it from scratches and dirt. Toyota will use an all-new engine 2.0-litre engine for the Tj Cruiser along with a hybrid drivetrain.

Then the suspension section called by Toyota is sturdy enough to escort 20-inch wheels coated with chunky tires, and combined with on-demand all-wheel drive systems, which will help it overcome muddy road conditions.

From the side image, the front door adopts a general system, but on the back has a sliding door style, which gives better access to the inside. Front passenger seats to the rear can be folded flat, making it possible to transport goods up to 3 meters (10 feet) in length.

3 major scientific issues that still be mysterious!

Scientists continue to find many scientific issues that sometimes those issues can change the entire of our world's faces. Even so, the scientists continue to try uncover the mysteries about this world but still could not give a detailed explanations, and sometimes some of them then are kept those secret from the public, why?

3. Climate change
Many people think that climate change only makes the earth hotter, but it turns out that Climate Change or climate change is a disaster. Climate change is a real disaster, where humans burn the fuel, factories blow smoke into the sky and release carbon dioxide which makes the Earth's surface warmer. According to a study by scientists from Ohio, the United States that climate change takes hundreds of years to make it stable again.

2. Human knowledge about the Universe is still very minimal
NASA sent astronauts to explore the moon, and humans on earth assume that humans have managed to know a lot about the universe. In fact it is not, according to a report from the United States Astronomy Agency, new humans are able to explore the universe in less than 5 percent. This means that the remaining 95 percent is still a mystery and it is the task of humans to be able to solve it in the future.

1. Mass extinction will occur once more
According to the Saintis report, this earth has experienced at least 5 mass extinctions caused by climate change, the ice age, to extreme weather. Well, the dangers of scientists believe that civilization will now lead to the sixth mass extinction. True or not, scientists are referring to current conditions of the earth and climate such as the amount of pollution, ice on both poles is starting to melt, forest loss and heat waves hit several regions in the Middle East.

See the advantages and disadvantages of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and hybrids

At present there are three classes of vehicles that are fully or partially operated through electricity. Among them are hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars. The advantages and disadvantages of electric cars can be compared to hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars. Although there are still not many choices in Indonesia, let's see what the three vehicles provide.

1. Hybrid Vehicles
Hybrid powered vehicles use conventional gasoline engines as the main power source. The gas engine is added to a certain degree by an electric motor that is powered by a self-charging battery that restores power from braking and retarding.

Depending on the model, an electric motor can provide power or can help travel for several kilometers. Fuel savings depend on the model. The current leaders of hybrid vehicles are Hyundai Ioniz with a ratio of 57/59 mpg (city / highway) and Toyota Prius at 58/53 mpg.

The disadvantage is that hybrid vehicles are usually valued higher than comparable conventional models. In addition, maintenance costs or periodic maintenance that is fairly expensive compared to conventional vehicles can be a barrier.

2. Plug-in hybrid Vehicles
Also called PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) which uses a larger battery than a standard hybrid engine. But the driver must be charged to achieve full load. After the battery runs out, the PHEV will operate like a conventional hybrid with an electric motor helping the gasoline engine.

Unlike a full electric car, the PHEV owner does not need to worry about being stranded on the side of the road when the battery dies. The range of PHEV electrical operations and energy consumption also varies by model. For example the Countryman Mini PHEV version can run 20 kilometers first with battery power. Toyota Prius Prime PHEV can run 40 kilometers and the Chevrolet Volt can drive 85 kilometers before being charged.

The problem is, PHEV is more expensive than a standard hybrid engine. Abroad, the Prius Prime mentioned above gets a price of $3,800 or equivalent to Rp 56 million compared to the standard Prius hybrid version.

3. Electric Vehicles
Full electric vehicles (EV / Electric Vehicle) produce zero emissions and usually the operating costs are lower than gas powered vehicles. But the EV operating range is limited and must be filled through an electrical outlet at a home or public charging station to keep it running. The problem is the car will immediately stop running when the battery runs out. Most EVs can run from 160 to 200 kilometers for a single charge.

Tesla Model S is the winner in the matter of battery life with an estimated maximum travel capacity of 540 kilometers. Many factors can affect the EV range. Drive at higher speeds, operate in cold weather, and other accessories such as heaters and air conditioners affect EV travel.

Although freeing vehicles from emissions, the lack of an electric car lies in the price that is more expensive than the hybrid engine or PHEV. For example Ford Focus Electric is valued at more than $.8,950 compared to conventional power versions. China's high-tech electric cars are ready to show off

Chinese company Byton introduced a concept car that was said to have "an intelligence that exceeds human intelligence." The Byton Concept Car was introduced to rival Tesla with a mileage that penetrates 300 miles, and face recognition features.

Byton concept is an autonomous electric car that will be produced at the plant in Nanjing, China. These Byton all-electric crossover concept vehicle appeared at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

As reported from Driver Magazine, this most sophisticated car is planned to be produced in 2019 and began to be marketed in 2020 in China before entering the US and European markets at prices of US. $45,000 (or equivalent to Rp.600 million).

Byton said the aim of this concept was to improve human interaction with vehicles, and develop it to all occupants, not just drivers. Some of the main features include multiple screens and dashboards that are dominated by a shared experience display that allows content to be shared with passengers.

In addition to interacting with the car through voice and touch controls, the all-electric Byton concept car displays what is called an Air Touch sensor that allows the passengers to control the main screen with hand signals.

To enhance the infotainment experience, Byton has added what they call the Life Cloud Platform, which allows drivers and passengers to connect applications and mobile devices to the car. It also personalizes car settings based on driver preferences.
Byton uses a security system with a camera that has face recognition to open vehicle safety. LED lights inside and outside the car can also be configured to suit different moods and driving situations.
