The world's first jet turbine bagger

From many styles used by the big motorcycles in America, and the Bagger is one style that is widely used on motorcycles there. The Bagger-style motorcycles are cruisers outfitted with saddlebags on their tail which are ideal for touring, hence the name "baggers".

Some time ago, I surfed in the internet and found the pictures of unique bagger motorcycles. The most interesting and intrigued me was a bagger motorcycle made by Kody McNew of VooDoo Bikeworks.

Back in 2014, Voodoo Bikeworks to bring the very first Jet Turbine Bagger, the Voodoo Jet Bike… There are no others like this! In addition to having a very unique body shape, this bike also uses a machine that is not commonly used on motorcycles, namely Jet Turbine. But unfortunately, none of the detailed technical specifications, both on the engine, base used to build the motorbike, or its performance data.

This motorcycle is deliberately created by Kody McNew and the crew of VooDoo Bikeworks in order to answer the challenges of a reality show called 'Biker Battleground Phoenix,' the show was initiated by Paul Yaffe, an American legendary motorbike-designer. On the reality show series pits five rival bike-builders from Phoenix, Arizona, against each other to see who can design and build the best bike to put an end to their rivalry and smack talking.

The motorbike also had been featured on the History Channel and was a part of Sturgis Biker Build Off 2014! Take a look for yourself on the short video made by Voodoo Bikeworks teamed up with Krookid Photography and Felt Not Heard Productions.
What do you think? The world would be a more interesting place with this unique motorcycle out on the roads. Wanna see the unique jet turbine bagger motorbike hit the road for the first time.

Imaginary concept of the Porsche GT Vision car

Off course everyone is allowed have an imagination to make the design of the car they likes. This is also been done by a Porsche car lovers team that makes the rendering images of the Porsche Gran Turismo (GT) sportscar concept.

Indeed, the car will not necessarily be ogled by the German car manufacturer. But at least they have poured all of their imagination about how the Porsche 908/04 Vision GT should be.

The team consisted of Porsche car lovers, industrial designers, and expert of digital photo engineering were designing a long-tailed Porsche 908/04 Vision GT concept car.

Such design is the need for the racing cars in the 1960s and 1970s, at which time the cars were made to have maximum downforce. At that time also Porsche dominated in many racing circuits through the models, such as 917LT, 935/78, and 908 LH.

Long-tailed cars were indeed fast, but actually more difficult to drive. The car like this then disappear along with advances in technology, particularly how to increase downforce without compromising the car's dimensions.

But the team that makes the rendering images thought that the essence of this project is the revival, in which the products were ever raised the name of Porsche in the racing arenas enshrined, not in terms of technology.

The driver was not spoiled by the sequential gearbox system, but should use the three pedals. Obviously, this concept car used a manual transmission system and its transmission lever is made by a wooden accents to give the retro impression.

In some parts, the concept car took the 918 Spyder design, especially on the use of exhaust silencer on the rear deck. In addition, the Porsche 908/04 Vision GT are also made shorter by the use of fender that maximally cover the wheel's circle and the impressive buttocks form to show aggressive side of this concept.
"We want to show the car's impression is 'forward' and really have a sporty soul. The idea is how to interpret a modern look of 1968 Porsche 908 LH model," the team said as quoted from AutoExpress. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEXPRESS]

Swiss scientists unravel an anti-aging miracle substance

Do you want to live more longer? (If yes, why do you want that and whether not tired of living that long.) Here's a good news for you.

Pomegranates have long been considered a superfood (superfood), although not a lot of evidence that can explain it. More recently, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Swiss federal institute of technology, has revealed the secret.
Researchers at EPFL have found a 'miracle molecule' in pomegranates. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cJFbA)
Referring to the EPFL statement on Monday, scientists at the institutes that want to explore the 'superfood' because the 'natural evidence that there had been too weak."

As quoted from The Local on Friday, July 15, 2016, the scientists revealed that a substance contained in pomegranates can be modified by the stomach microbe into a molecule that allows the muscle cells to fight the effects of aging. In the initial test in the rodents whose results have been published in the journal Nature Medicine, the statement continued, "The impact is awesome."

By the increasing a person's age, body cells struggled to recycle the mitochondria, the superior part in cells that perform vital functions. Degradation of mitochondria affect the health of the network, such as the muscles that then fell slowly over several years. The weakening of the network can also play a role in age-related diseases, such as Parkinson's.

The scientists who involved in the EPFL research found that a molecule called 'urolithin A' is able to improve the body's cells to recycle mitochondria weakened.

Patrick Aebischer, one of the authors of the study, said, "That is the only molecule that is known to boost the mitochondria cleaning process, known as mitophagy."

"Substances that totally natural with a strong and measurable impact."

In a series of tests on the rodents, the researchers found that the older mice show increased endurance by 42 percent while running compared to equally old mice in the control group.

But it is not that easy. Pomegranates only contains the precursor (starting material) for the miracle molecule and can only be changed to 'urolithin A' through the role of microbes in the stomach. Thus, the number of 'urolithin A' produced very diverse, depending on the existence of flora in the intestines.

"There are people who did not earn it. If people including the less fortunate, pomegranate juice may not be helpful at all."
Scientists are trying to find ways to supply 'urolithin A' to people who do not have the exact microbes within them. A number of clinical trials have been initiated. Well, we wait for the results later, if you still can see the sunlight tomorrow. If not, it's ok anyway. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE LOCAL]

2Shot BMW R nineT wrapped in aluminum suits

BMW R nineT be the dream of every builder because this bike is very exclusive for custom-made. From the engine side and the performance, this bike has a value which is very cool. As well as the model, the German motorcycle manufacturer deliberately create a classic motorcycle, to remember the BMW's glory days in the '80s era.

But all the advantages it seemed would be a challenge for the builders, such as Stuart is currently living in Sydney, Australia. This work was born after he underwent a period of healing as a result of his accident.

"I had plenty of time to think about building this bike. First of all I have to buy and try it directly, but it turns out it is a misnomer," says 2Shot owner, Vaughan.

They decided to modify it and begin the work of the fuel tank. They throw away the original tank, and rebuild it so fairing with retro shapes can be applied.

From the fender to the tail also changed uniforms with the front of the motorcycle. The entire body is made of aluminum with the help of machines to form any curves.

The end result is pretty cool. With the bodywork like that, they obviously have to spend a lot of energy especially side effects are also very much.
But they believe, the boxer engine with a capacity of 1,170 cc of the motorcycle is still very strong. Although not differ by type of retro BMW engines, but modern technology is applied to the engine deems to be very functional.

Supercar concepts which should been produced (Part-2)

Supercar concepts offered by the automotive manufacturers the chance to build excitement for the future of the brand. Sometimes that excitement is realized with amazing performance and an automotive legend, while other times the excitement is watered down a bit and blended into existing production vehicles.
(Pictured: Infiniti Vision GT Supercar Concept.) The world would be a more interesting place with these ten supercar concepts out on the roads. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cMuU2)
Sometimes, they simply disappear. Here are the second part of ten supercar concepts that We thought that should been produced a long time ago as the public loved, then watched these potential supercars went nowhere without the news.

6. KIA SIDEWINDER CONCEPT
Yes, Kia. The company that makes the Rio and Optima also developed a respectable supercar concept. First shown at the 2006 LA Auto Show, the Sidewinder is a wild look at What Kia wants to build. The front looks a lot like most hypercars from 10 years ago, generic, but nice. The rear tapers to a point, with the rear suspension visible from outside the car, like a Plymouth Prowler in reverse.

The drivetrain matches the looks, as a turbine burns CNG to create electricity for the in-wheel motors. No word on power output, but the Sidewinder was supposed to be fast, light, and clean running. While some media outlets said it was production ready, in reality that was highly unlikely due to the advanced motors. Too bad, as Kia could use some excitement to elevate the brand.

7. JAGUAR B99 CONCEPT
For a hint of where Jag is going, take a good look at the B99. Created by Bertone styling firm and Jaguar design chief Ian Callum, the B 99 is a possible future entry level Jaguar. Now, this list is for supercars, but the B 99 has it covered there.

Like most modern high performance cars, this cat is a hybrid. Instead of eco-cred, it gives you tire shredding power, with combined output at 570 hp. Accessing the interior is rather easy with the sleek rear “suicide doors,” and once inside, you are greeted by plenty of genuine wood and old school metal gauges. It’s a classy touch, and let’s hope Jag keeps all of it if they build this super sedan.

8. INFINITI ESSENCE CONCEPT
2009 saw 20 years of Infiniti, and the Essence revealed their design direction. Pity it wasn’t meant for more, as this car is beautiful and could have been the Japanese answer to the Corvette. The design language borrows the best bits from Aston and Jag, but takes its own path and feels new

Beneath the long sculpted hood sits a twin turbo 3.7 liter V6. Since that “only” produces 434 horsepower, there is an electric motor to surge power up to nearly 600. The interior is better than pretty much anything below six figures, so this would likely have been a 911 fighter. Infiniti needs this car.

9. LOTUS ELAN CONCEPT
Lotus went nuts at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and displayed five concept cars based on their impressive history. Arguably the best looking and most potent of the bunch is the Elan concept. Rather than a rehash of the cute ‘60s and ‘90s-tastic sports cars,
Lotus Elan Concept. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cMqO0)
Lotus went all out and stuffed a mid-mounted 4.0 liter supercharged V6 into a genuinely distinctive looking supercar. With 450 horsepower and an optional hybrid system, and sitting well under 3,000 lbs, this Lotus would have been a blast on any road. Production was estimated at 2013, but the extended recession and management indecision led to its cancellation. At least we still can buy the 20 year old Elise and the Toyota Sienna powered Evora, right?

10. MERCEDES-BENZ AMG VISION GRANTURISMO CONCEPT
For the 15th anniversary of the legendary Sony Playstation racing simulator, Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of GranTurismo series, requested manufacturers to send in concepts for futuristic vehicles. Some, like Chevy, went off the deep end and made cars powered by lasers and driven by a pilot in a wingsuit.

Mercedes-Benz kept it classy and real, with their AMG Vision GranTurismo. This GT car features unbelievable curves, and is one of very few vehicles that looks good in chrome paint. The stats are possible too, as it is powered by a twin turbo V8 making 585 horsepower in a chassis weighing just over 3,000 lbs..

The world would be a more interesting place with these ten supercar concepts out on the roads. Do you have a favorite on this list, or another that didn’t make the cut? Tell us about it, and why it should have gone from concept supercar to dream garage production car. (Back to previous part.*** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ZERO TO 60 TIMES]

Finally India managed to built their own fighter jets

Having developed for over 30 years, finally Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) delivered two units of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) dubbed 'Tejas' to the Indian military. Although mentioned as made in India, not all components of the fighter jet was made in India. For example, its jet engine used for this aircraft was made by General Electric.
Tejas inducted into No.45 Squadron of Indian Air Force at HAL airport in Bengaluru on July 1, 2016. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cHEUt)
Tejas was the second fighter aircraft developed and produced by India. Previously, HAL successfully developed the HF-24 Marut, the bombers were used until the 1990s. And two unit of Tejas fighter jets has received by the Indian military will form a new squadron officially opened on July 1, 2016.

However, the number of Tejas fighter jets in the No.45 Squadron of the Indian Air Force (IAF) named "Flying Daggers" it will be complete in 2020. As an advanced fighter jet, the selling prices of Tejas relatively cheap. Just look, HAL set the Tejas's price of US. $28 million per unit, as compared with US. $40 million for the Sukhoi Su-35 Russian-made jets.
Two of the 15 pre-production Tejas jet fighters produced by HAL and used for test and evaluation. The LCA made its maiden flight on January 4, 2001. (PIcture from: http://adf.ly/1cHGlT)
Although it has completed the first unit, HAL has not stopped to fix their new fighter jets. In the near future the Indian company will finalize cooperation with the Swedish defense contractor, SAAB, to produce the Tejas's electronic radar in India. Saab will also supply a variety of electronic devices needed by HAL in developing their fighter jets.

Many military observers believe the HAL Tejas manufactured to rival the PAC JF-17 Thunder fighter jet developed by China and Pakistan. To build the Tejas, HAL uses composite materials not only make the weight of the aircraft becomes lighter, but also increase the effectiveness of radar.
HAL Tejas will replace the fleet of Sukhoi Su-30 MKII and MiG-29 who will retire later than in 2030. In addition, India also purchased 39 units of the Dassault Rafale, a French-made fighter jet with a value of US. $8.9 billion. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE NEW INDIAN EXPRESS]
