One of the developments was carried out by Michelin, a French tire manufacturer collaborated with one of American automotive giants, General Motors (GM). Both of them developed a special airless tires called the Unique Puncture-proof Tire System (UPTiS) designed by Michelin.

Those collaboration project to study the use of puncture-proof tires that do not need air pressure, including testing in the 'real world', will begin at the end of these year. GM and Michelin will project the introduction of airless tires in GM's passenger vehicles can be done in 2024.
A puncture-proof tire prototype called Michelin UPTiS being tested on the Chevrolet Bolt electric-powered car. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Fi6Ufl)
"UPTiS is the ideal match to advance the automotive industry in the future and a great example of how consumers benefit when we collaborate and innovate with our supply partners," said Steve Kiefer, GM's senior vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Airless tires design eliminates the general risks of conventional tires such as puncture or deflated. Thanks to that ability, the driver of the vehicle can avoid potential accidents.
Airless tires are designed similar to conventional tires. However, we can understand that these tires do not need air because on the open wall it shows a unique structure as a buffer. The structure has many uses, including dampening shocks.

Another advantage of the airless tires is not wasteful material while to be produced, eliminates the need for spare tires, and lasts longer than conventional tires.
Michelin explained that if the airless tires are used massively, they have the potential to reduce the use of raw materials such as rubber and also cut waste. Mentioned, if it can be done then 20 percent of used tire waste can be reduced. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]

Valhalla is official name for Aston Martin AM-RB 003

As we have discussed in the previous article (here), the hypercar of collaboration result between Aston Martin, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Adrian Newey, previously known as the codename 'AM-RB 003,' is now officially named Aston Martin Valhalla.
Valhalla or the Viking warrior’s paradise was taken as the official name for Aston Martin AM-RB 003 hypercar. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ITZ9gL)
The 'Valhalla' name was taken from ancient Nordic mythology for the Viking warrior’s paradise, as well as joins a legacy of Aston Martin models with names starting with the letter 'V,' which also includes V8, Vantage, Virage, Vanquish, Vulcan, Valkyrie and the Volante designation for convertible models.

"The Aston Martin model names always attract a lot of attention. They do it because they always capture emotions or tell a story," said Andy Palmer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda Group.

Valhalla will use a newly-developed in-house hybrid turbo V6 engine which are claimed to be capable of spraying up to 1,000 horsepower. That means the car will indirectly become an All Wheel Drive driven car. The engine used is different from the engine used by the Valkyrie which uses a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine.
Only 500 unit of Aston Martin Valhalla will be made and used a newly-developed in-house hybrid turbo V6 engine. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2TKBG96)
Not up to that, Valhalla also has a fairly light weight, which is no more than 1,350 kg. This figure is obtained thanks to the use of light materials, such as using a monocoque chassis made of carbon fiber material. If so, this car only takes 2.5 seconds, to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h and will be able to reach topspeed up to 350 km/hr.

As quoted from Jalopnik, Valhalla will be joined as one of the British famous 007's spy agent vehicles in his still-untitled 25th movie. If true, the Valhalla appearance follows in the footsteps of its predecessor Aston Martin V8 Vantage which is also one of the vehicles used by James Bond in 1987's The Living Daylights.
According to an official report of Aston Martin website on Wednesday, these hypercar will be produced in limited numbers, which is only 500 units. And for those of you who are interested in having it, chances are that this British hypercar will be sold at nearly $2 million. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ASTON MARTIN | JALOPNIK | CARSCOOPS]

This concept car is a creative work of a South Korean automotive designer named Hanbeom Lee who seems to be inspired by hot spring baths in Japan which also happens to be called Onsen.
Interior detail of Honda Onsen concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZxXgNo)
In dimensions, the concept car is actually a relatively small city car. The car concept has a size just a little bigger than Volkswagen Golf. Even so, the embedding of an electrically powered drive system that has minimal components makes the cabin space more spacious. Full autonomous driving technology also makes the car unnecessary the human intervention to operate it when used.
Interior plan of Honda Onsen concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZxXgNo)
The progress of autonomous technology which is increasingly progressing itself is projected to make people have enough free time when traveling. It seem Hanbeom Lee think that among those free times, the one that definitely attracts the car passengers is the hot bath and the Onsen design facilitates that desire.
Key technology/structure study of Honda Onsen concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZxXgNo)
The car design consists of two partitions with two seats facing each other. Cylindrical cell-shaped rear partition with 'gimbal technology' which makes it completely sealed from the front row seats and able to accommodate water in certain volume.

By simply pressing the button, hot water can flow out to a certain maximum extent. With this capability, the car passengers who want to relax on their long trips or got badly traffic jammed, they can move to the rear row seats for hot showers. And while on those activity can do it alone or together with a partner.
Honda Onsen concept is a kind of sharing car that can be used in Beppu, the world's largest hot spring recreation city. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZxXgNo)
Unfortunately, it was not explained whether Honda would consider realizing this Honda Onsen later. Well, do not be too hopeful, because until now there's no Honda's official statement about this concept car, moreover about time when the car will be realized.

Surely the idea of taking a hot bath while on traveling is quite an interesting thing. Especially in the countries that have a long distances traveling tradition by using vehicles or can be used as the on-line sharing vehicles to transport tourists toward the recreation areas. Look Valhalla.. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BEHANCE | CARSCOOPS]

Ferrari officially launched a hyper hybrid with 986 horses

As stated by Ferrari, one of the Italian renowned premium car manufacturers that they will launch their newest hybrid supercar on May 29, 2019. Yes, the Prancing Horse logoed auto manufacturer officially on that date has launched their first hybrid supercar named Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the most powerfull Ferrari ever produced. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JJFmDD)
As qouted of Motor1, Ferrari SF90 Stradale like Ferrari LaFerrari also uses a hybrid system. But unlike its predecessor, the SF90 packs a smaller gas engine, plug-in charging capability, all-wheel drive, and yes, even more horses. With a burst of power of around 986 hp (735 kW), making the SF90 is the most powerful Ferrari ever produced.
Top view of Ferrari SF90 Stradale. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JJFmDD)
This new Ferrari's supercar is carried a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing around 769 hp (573 kW) of power and torque of around 800 Nm (590 lbs-ft). Then the Italian manufacturer also implanted 3 packs Lithium-Ion battery-powered electric motors each 1 unit in the rear axle and 2 units in front. Those electric motor provides an additional power of around 217 hp (162 kW), so that the total power that can be sprayed up is 986 hp (735 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lbs-ft).

All of these bursts of power are channeled to all the wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission system, making the supercar capable of accelerating from rest to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, 125 mph around 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. This number makes the SF90 not only fast on the straight track. In a test on the Fiorano Ferrari test track, the SF90 recorded a 79-mili second faster lap time (around 1:19) than LaFerrari (1:19.70). Wow.!!
Left side view of Ferrari SF90 Stradale. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JJFmDD)
For off the track efficientcy control, the SF90 offers a pure electric driving mode. With a range of around 16 miles (25 km), an electric maximum speed of 84 mph (135 kph) and a plug-in charging capability, making the SF90 run around Maranello in complete silence as it is tearing the circuit up with its engine screeching towards redline.

The SF90 exterior looks very radical by reinvents aerodynamic accessorizing. The front of the chassis is 15 mm (0.6 inches) higher than the center. Thus making air flow through the vortex generator, which basically keep things streamlined through the body. With this advanced aero work, the SF90 produces downforce 860 lbs (390 kg) at 155 mph (250 km). And Ferrari said that number is the "new benchmark for downforce and efficiency in high-performance road cars."
Interior view of Ferrari SF90 Stradale. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JJFmDD)
The SF90 interior is applied a new cabin styling, highlighted by a wraparound 16.0-inch HD screen, advanced HUD, and an F1-inspired cockpit, on the steering wheel also mounted toogles that controls four different driving modes: eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify.

The first two, as the name suggests, make use of battery power. The efficiency-oriented eDrive mode turns off the V8 completely and only relies on the 16 miles range of the batteries and electric motors. In Hybrid mode, the control logic switches between the gas engine and battery power automatically, by using information such as accelerator pedal pressure and driving conditions.
Rear view of Ferrari SF90 Stradale. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JJFmDD)
In Performa and Qualify driving modes, the V8 still uses turbocharged. The first uses a high output engine to help charge the electric modes, while the second releases all 986 horses from both the electric motor and the internal combustion engine. As the name suggests, this is the ideal mode for the tracks.
With all the advanced technology available to it, the SF90 Stradale has a weight of around 3,461 lbs (1,570 kilos). It is approximately 30 lbs (13 kg) lighter than LaFerrari (3,494 lbs). While the Chassis, 20 percent stiffer and 40 percent more torsionally rigid than previous performance platform, all without adding unnecessary weight.
All-new Ferrari SF90 Stradale sounds like a technological marvel. For price and availability details are still in the final stages, but this hyper-hybrid is expected to go on sale this year. And certainly the price is very expensive. Some auto-observers give an estimate of the price, which ranges from €600,000, or equivalent to Rp.9.6 billion.
