We discussed again the Modena-based Ares Design where in the previous article we wrote about a unique C2 Corvette StingRay. So on this occasion we will discuss about their new project to recreate the legendary De Tomaso Pantera supercar of the 1970s under the name of Project Panther. This car based on the current Lamborghini Huracan, and it will be fully assembled at the firm's new factory in Modena.

The main goal of the company design team in the creating of the Project Panther is to recreate the essence of an iconic car by future classic design fusion (with a tagline: 'future classics that reflects the essence of iconic cars.')
And reportedly, the car will be built in 'very limited' numbers and will go on sale in the second half of 2018.

To create the Project Panther into a reality, so then the Huracan body should be thoroughly overhauled with design cues from the 1970's Pantera liberally applied.
Meanwhile for the drivetrain, this car will be equiped with a 5.2 liters V10 engine, associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system.

In addition, this car will also adopt an all-wheel drive (AWD) system like the Lamborghini Huracan. By this engine, the new-look car is expected to blow up power of up to 602 horsepower while on the asphalt.

For the chassis, this car uses the same aluminum and carbon fiber with Huracan. The car exterior will be appeared in a unique and beautiful design by combining elements of retro and modern design. The first noticeable retro feature is the pop-up headlamps, which never been seen again on a production car since the Chevrolet Corvette C5 and Lotus Esprit both ended their production in 2004.
The black-colored horizontal-fins on the car's both side such as on the original Pantera are also fitted on this classic remake. There're some modern features are noticeable on the Project Panther, such as the 10-spoke wheels wrapped with the Pirelli P-Zero tyres and the new exhaust pipes.
At the rear, Ares also was performed the same trick by making the Project Panther look as close as possible to the original car built by De Tomaso, which also was based in Modena between 1959 until the company was declared bankcrupt in 2015.

As we all knew, Ares Design was founded by ex-Lotus CEO Danny Bahar and has already begun to design coachbuilt variants of existing cars. The firm recently announced their new 18,000m2 factory in Modena where the new Project Panther will be assembled.
"We started Ares three years ago, with client car demand that is unprecedented, and has satisfied 200 customers with unique interiors, exterior designs, bodywork techniques, and performance improvements," explained Bahar.

Yes, there are a number of sophisticated devices embedded on this motorcycle, such as the DJI Spark quadricopter remote control and 3D-printed cubby-based camera drones from StrataSys. Then this motorcycle also has a USB charging port to keep the drone active while the motorcycle is running. Because the Russian manufacturer built the motorcycle to be used as a touring vehicle so equiped it by a travel recorder devices that serves to document all of the user's activity during the trips.
In addition to the above devices, the Ural Air Limited Edition also features telescopic selfie sticks, additional two fog lights, luggage racks, spare wheels and tires, jerry cans, tools and shovels as additional equipments that will support the motorbike users in their adventures.
All equipment installed on these new motorbike belonging to the Ural has been calculated carefully so it will not disturb its stabilities when facing the winding road or off-road terrain. To support its cruising capabilities, it also features a two-wheel drive that allows it to pass on various terrains easily.

Maybe some of you feel not-familiar with the name of Ares Design Technical Center. This is an Italian automotive company based in Modena, and led by Dany Bahar.

If that name sounds familiar, that's because it is: Bahar formerly served as Ferrari's vice-president, CEO of Lotus, and has had a four-year tour in Formula One before all that, at a management level.
Then Bahar set the basis for Ares in 2012, as a company specializing in body kits, interior upgrades, and performance and power improvements.

Since then, the company managed to produce a handful of cars. Ares opened their new facility in Modena on February, 2018 where it will design, develop and produce coach-built limited-edition cars.
Back to the figure of C2 Corvette StingRay, although classified as a classic car from the 1960s, the ability of C2 Corvette StingRay rebuilt by Ares Design should not be underestimated. Because its drivetrain has been changed with modern machines. Namely using the LS3 V8 engine as can be found on the Corvette C6 which was built between 2005 and 2013.

Yes under those hood has been pinned a 6.2-litre V8 engine is intentionally immersed by Ares as the mechanical heart of the classic car to produce power up to 518 horsepower, which is channeled to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and Viper Hammerhead differential systems.

There's an interesting thing while installing those new machine which also requires the installation of 23 original and new holes in the firewall to utilize the new cable. It also requires installing a special fuel tank, modifying the car's feet section, installing the new exhaust, and installing the bulged 427 styled hood.

The engine is not the only focus of this classic car restoration. The Ares Design has also stripped the bodywork and interior parts. The exterior is sprinkled with glossy black, and the cabin is lined with fresh leather, with refurbished upholstery and modern electronic equipment.
On its red nuanced cabin, there's a modern entertainment systems consisted Alpine 500-watt amps, USB port and Bluetooth connectivity. Calls are quickly updated with LED lighting, and both door windows are now electrically operated. And the installation of 19 inches rims at the front, and 20 inches behind, with LED lights to provide better illumination.

This is an Italian designer Giulio Iacchetti’s fresh model draws inspiration from the film-famous silhouette of historical of the first Piaggio’s 98cc scooter named Vespa 98models launched in 1946, and now returning to the lighter look of original models (a plus for urban maneuverability).

Yes, he developed a model that links to tradition, yet at the same time features a slim, ecological body, for greater agility in city traffic. At glance, the Giulio Iacchetti’s Vespampère scooter design was resembles the Vespa 946 (above) which also inspired by the 1946 Vespa 98 and the version production of Quarantasei scooter concept, but the 946 was more heavier due to carries a 125cc 3-valve air-cooled conventional engine and and its body also looks longer....
These minimalist, and lightweight version of the scooter sees the typical lateral shells removed in light of its electric motor, which occupies much less space than the traditional gas one.

5. 1996 Lincoln Sentinel
In 1996 came the Sentinel, a startling expression of Ford’s edge design ethos: a high waistline, wonderfully sculpted lighting, ultra-clean, flat shapes and elegant proportions.

6. 1997 Chrysler Phaeton
A company can use its heritage to catapult itself to a higher level. Chrysler’s Hemi is a current example. Their 1997 Phaeton is another. With a charge led by product guys Bob Lutz and designer Tom Gale, Chrysler showed a series of stunning concepts in the 1990s, beginning with the original Viper.
Just as that Viper personified power, the Phaeton simply oozed classic elegance. Inspiration came from the 1940-41 Newport Phaeton, a limited-production classic of which Chrysler built only five. The two-cabin body rides on a whopping 132-inch wheelbase, about what you’d find under a crew cab, long-bed pickup. Wheels measure 22-inches in diameter. 7. 1998 Chrysler Chronos
Chrysler achieved a whole new level in ‘contemporizing a classic form' in the design of the Chrysler Chronos concept vehicle. Debuted in 1998, the Chrysler Chronos concept is an incredibly dramatic sight to behold with deep resemblance to the 1950's Virgil Exner-era vehicles.
The Chronos was powered by a powerful 6.0 liter V10 engine with normal aspiration and around 350 horsepower. The engine was mated with a single-long-arm modified Viper front and rear suspension, a high-strength steel chassis and a unibody structure. 8. 1999 Buick Cielo
Cielo is the Spanish word for sky, and this was Buick’s concept for a four-door convertible, with the lateral roof rails providing not only structural stability but also enhanced security and safety. The convertible roof comprised three hard panels that powered back and hid themselves in the car’s trunk.
Cielo’s styling draws from Buick’s design heritage with a strong vertical grille reminiscent of the Y-Job, fully functional portholes that recall the famous VentiPorts that first appeared on 1949 models, and the “sweepspear” bright metal body trim of the late ’40s and ’50s.
