BIG BIKE As if not wanting to be outdone by other motorcycle manufacturers, the Japanese manufacturer Honda Motor Company has again innovated in motorcycle production. Turn out, the Japanese motor company has been released its newest café racer-styled motorcycle for the first time at the 2022 Osaka Motorcycle Show event recently..

The motorcycle in question is the Honda Hawk 11 which was seen on display in the Japanese motorcycle maker's stand at the Osaka Motorcycle Show and received so much attention, but unfortunately at the time the Honda's motorbike detailed specifications were still not explained by those Japanese company.
But, now the Honda Hawk 11 specifications are starting to be revealed. As quoted of Motorcycle, the Honda café racer-styled motorcycle is known to be powered by an engine that looks similar to the 1,084 cc engine used in the Honda Africa Twin and Rebel 1100.

And for the Honda Hawk 11, it uses a 4-stroke, 2-cylinder inline, OHC (Unicam) liquid-cooled engine, with a capacity of 1,082 cc. Those kind of engine has a bore size of 92.0 mm x stroke 81.4 mm for each cylinder, while the transmission system uses a 6-speed manual transmission.
Furthermore, the Honda Hawk 11's engine is claimed capable churn out a maximum power of up to 100 hp at 7,500 rpm and 103 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. That engine capability is not much different from the Honda CRF110L Africa Twin's engine which is capable of producing a maximum power of 101 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 105 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

In addition to equipt with a such fairly fierce engine, the Honda Hawk 11 is also equipped with advanced features such as Honda Electronic Control Technology (HECT) which provides four driving modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, and one adjustable mode that can save the settings according to the user's wishes.
Then there are another features such Throttle-by-wire, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSCT), and ABS are also standard features on the Honda Hawk 11. While in the suspension section, this café racer motorbike uses an SFF-BP upside down shock made by Showa (Hitachi Astemo Co., Ltd.) up front, as well as a monoshock and rear swing arm of Prolink.
Reportedly, the Honda Hawk 11 is produced in limited quantities, which is only 1,200 units (confirmed only the Japanese market for now), and will be sold freely with prices in the range of JPN ¥ 1.397 milion or Rp.159 million.
It's quite expensive though, but for a kind of such vehicle that has an exclusivity value like this will certainly attract a lot of enthusiasts who would be ignored the price numbers. Storm's Means Have you ever heard and know about K-Speed? This is a Bangkok-based modifier or builder is indeed a hobby of making motorcycles that have a futuristic and anti-mainstream look. For some people, the custom motorcycle may look sloppy and eccentric, but as usual the K-Speed custom motorcycle always has a strong character.

Like the figure of this neo cafe racer-style custom motorcycle, plus the base alone might sound very strange to us, namely the Honda Bros 400 aka Honda NT400. This was a low-end motorcycle used to be less interested in the market because of its underpowered performance.

But who doesn't want it if after experieced one makeover prosceses, the Honda Bros looks like this and called the Honda Bros 400 'Future Storm'. As we can see, the most modifications occurs in the body sector and the rear frame.

K-Speed uses aluminum plates to make a new fork guard up to the stern. Everything is made into one piece, like a tank connecting to the stern which looks like a street fighter motorcycle. Likewise for the fork guard, making our memories lead to the futuristic Japanese Gundam anime cartoons or the Star Wars' Stormtrooper.

And of course this one body component that makes it able to steal of attention while on the streets. Not to forget the belly pan fairing is also quite large under the engine which makes it look more muscular. In order to keep it looking solid but concise, K-Speed deliberately makes some components seem hidden.

If we look at the front at a glance we will not see where the main lights are until we look at the top of the tires. In addition there are also the Motogadget's M-Blaze turn signal mounted under the handlebars and the back of the belly pan fairing.

CaféRacer The passion to get a special custom motorcycle will not subside even if it has to travel thousands of kilometers away. Well, to get the best will certainly give its own satisfaction. And a custom motorcycle work is usually born from imagination plus inspiration from various studies of the builder.

One important thing in the motorcycle figure has its own identity from its creator as part of its strength. This is one of the characteristics of Krom Works, a southern Jakarta-based custom-motorcycle workshop that has its own charm by playing the chrome accents.

As we can see in one of the latest modification results of the workshop, in which its special style chromated touche penetrated to entire bodyparts of simple dazzling café racer styled motorcycle that combines classic and futuristic nuances by taking the base of the Royal Enfield Bullet 500.

According to the Builder from Krom Works, Andika Pratama, the motorcycle custom concept is different from the café racer styles in general. As you can see, this motorbike has a stature and
appearance that is very unique and different from most custom
motorbikes. Therefore, the builder say that the motorbike is not
recommended for daily use.

One of them is from the application of tires with a 21-inch rims on the front and back. Just for info, the motorbike custom project is commissioned by Keith Edney, a customer in UK who want to have the Krom Works custom motorcycle based of the Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Therefore, in this project, the builder only uses the RE Bullet 500 engine which he coincidentally owns as a molding place only, where the entire chassis and custom body will be built around the engine.

Then in the building process, Krom Works builder admitted that it took about 5 months. Almost all the motorbike's body made by hand and only relies on the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 engine. Unless several parts taken from other notorcycles, such as the legs, the
Royal Enfield Café Racer uses a rear suspension taken from the Kawasaki
Ninja. While the front suspension uses a Girder model with the
mechanism inside the motorcycle's body.

The Royal Enfield custom body is made of stainless steel plate material with a thickness of 1.5 mm with a unibody model consisting of several welded series and polished metal finishing until it is shining. Inside the body there is a tank that can hold about 4 liters of gasoline, and to make it look cleaner, the electrical system and battery are stored in the body as well.

Meanwhile, the Krom Works custom motorcycle's chassis is more likely boxy-shaped, and is made of 8 mm iron plate. The builder admitted, previously more often using iron tubings to make chassis. So no wonder, in the making of the such boxy-shaped chassis is indeed a bit complicated because there must be something welded and forged by hand. After finished, the chassis was then given a green color because it was considered to have classic elements as the bike's owner desires.
This unique motorcycle custom concept has a fairly difficult manufacturing process, that's no wonder the making of this motorbike costs quite a bit of money. According to the builder, the cost spent to build the Royal Enfield café racer style custom motorcycle is in the range of Rp.90 millions to Rp.140 millions (approx $6,300 to $9,800).

Special Engine In a social media posting, there's a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer showcased their upcoming model at the 19th China International Motorcycle Exhibition (CIMA 2021) held in Chongqing from September 17 to 20, 2021.

It's the Zongshen's newest motorcycle concept under its Cyclone premium brand is presented along with a very interesting range of models and sooner or later we will see in Europe. One of the most notable is the Cyclone RX6 crossover with a 650 cc in-line twin-cylinder Norton's engine is launched in the CIMA 2020.
In a related post made by those Chinese company on social media back in Tuesday September 14, 2021, It said about seven new models with the first and best sports cruiser motorbike with a 1,000 cc engine named the Cyclone RA9 Concept.

Among the horde of small-capacity engines unveiled the CIMA motor expo in this year's, the Cyclone RA9 stands out as a motorcycle might be closer to production than we think. As we mentioned above, the Cyclone is a premium brand of the Chinese motorcycle giant Zongshen, which also known as the partner of the Piaggio Group in China, and has signed business agreement for producing a variety motorcycle engines of the Aprilia-branded.
As you can conclude here, by those European connections could be a kind of hint about the origins technology of the new RA9 which becoming the core of the company's exhibition booth. Although it looks like a pure concept bike, the RA9 actually incorporates many production components, including the engine and frame which are developments from the components used in the Aprilia Shiver and Dorsoduro.

As for the chassis, with a tubular steel front and a cast alloy rear, it's straight from the Shiver and Dorsoduro, although it features a new single-sided swingarm and much more radical bodywork including a large single exhaust that effectively doubles as part of the rear bodywork.
This is clearly a single seat design with no clue for the luggage or passenger seat. There are currently no further details regarding the new models that the Cyclone will present. The only thing that is certain is that we are waiting for them with great interest, when it would be its production version launched?

But now the 2-stroke engines seem to have second chance, because reportedly, there are manufacturers who are able to make 2-stroke engines could be passed emission tests and get the Euro5 certified. Even, it could be said as the only 2-stroke engine that has passed the Euro5 emissions test at this time.
The manufacturer that produces the 2-stroke engine in question is Langen Motorcycles, a British motorcycle manufacturer under the Vins company who is not join in the other to leave the production of 2-stroke motorcycles. The machine mentioned above, which later called as the Langen Deucinquanta, (the Italian for 'two fifty' reffered to the engine displacement). As quoted from Visordown, the Langen' machine is featured with a design and performance cannot be underestimated at all. And reportedly, this machine offers specifications and design like a MotoGP racing machine.
But how did Langen Motorcycles come up with this eco & health feiendly 2-stroke engine? Of course this cannot be done in a splash without any significant calculations and innovations. It can be said that Langen Motorcycles has made a bold and brilliant steps when making changes to its engine system, and reportedly, the work is carried out by a former Ferrari technician recruited by Langen Motorcycles.

Well, this British manufacturer made changes to the design in such a way that the engine is able to produce low emissions. And the design changes include changes to the feature of the shaft being rotated in the opposite direction to increase performance, besides that they also implementing a direct injection system.
Meanwhile, this direct injection mechanism is carried out by the injector located in the cylinder head by spraying fuel directly into the combustion chamber which had filled with the air supplied by the intake. This system is considered successful and able to increase combustion efficiency, increase fuel economy and reduce emission levels.

Then the Langen engine is a 2-stroke V-twin 90 degree engine with a capacity of 249 cc, by using fuel injection supply. The engine is claimed to be capable of producing power of around 75 hp at 11,700 rpm with 45 Nm of torque at 11,700 rpm. Although on paper the performance figures are not impressive in today's era, in which the superbike engine has been able to spew power up to 200 hp, but it should be remembered that the Langen engine capacity is only a quarter liter.

Then maybe some of you are curious about how a motorcycle that uses an environmentally friendly 2-stroke engine looks like? Still quoted of Visordown, Langen Motorcycles, which is an automotive manufacturer from Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, is said to be producing around 100 units of cafe racer-style motorcycles powered by the Langen Deucinquanta engine, and also reportedly it is specifically purposed to use in the racing tracks.

And the motorcycle is built on a tubular model chassis so no wonder if the weight of this motorcycle is very light at 114 kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 660 hp per tonne. So that with a burst of engine power of around 75 hp, it is able to carry it up to a top speed of 225 kph. Interestingly, the cafe racer-style motorcycle has undercowl at the bottom.
Next, how does it look? As previously mentioned, Langen Motorcycles appear in a typical cafe racer style which is equipped with a round headlight, exotic tank, and a sharp stern shape typical of the cafe racer style. Then this motorbike uses Ohlins' 43 mm telescopic front suspension and the legs use a pair of spoke rims and is wrapped with Dunlop Classic TT100 tires measuring 120/70 front and 150/60 rear.
And for those of you who are interested, the Langen Two Stroke is offered with a starting price of £28,000, although as is the nature of bikes such as this, the machine can be tweaked to the owner’s desired specification. And the completed machine will be on display prestigious Salon Privé later this month, while the official unveiling will take place at Blenheim Palace from the 23rd – 26th September.😃

It’s retro, it’s steampunk, it’s a café racer with a twist, it’s a one-of-a-kind motorcycle,named the Beezerker. The Beezerker is the culmination of 11 months of design and fabrication by Chris Flechtner, owner of SpeedShop Design in Seattle.

According to him, the past two years have been amazing thanks to the impact the bike has had on the motorcycle and design world. Indeed. it’s a large piece of custom motorcycle history, and even more important in the history of British 650 twins.
At the heart of the Beezerker is a rebuilt 1965 BSA A65 motor which Chris admits he didn't make but aside from that motor and the custom tuck and roll seat the entire bike has been designed, modified, or fabricated from scratch by Flechtner.
The tank and tail are hand-formed from aluminum, the forks are made from fabricated sheet metal, the down tube is the oil tank and the twist clutch is his own design. Chris' expert machining skills enabled him to create the bike out of aluminum and stainless steel which also meant a lot of the bike could remain unpainted and raw.
Chris recently entered his bike, the Beezerker into the 2010 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, and won a very respectable 5th place in the freestyle class and second place in the Metric World Championship class.
And also captured the People’s Choice Award and first place in the Freestyle category at the 2011 Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show Seattle. Wow..!! As we have seen today that design modifications always succeed in attracting the interest of automotive enthusiasts. Not only because it can bring a design that is more okay and new, even design modifications often provide inspiration for fans. The motorbike figure mentioned above can be seen on this unique BMW R NineT figure is built by Mikhail Smolânovym from Zillers Garage who is already known as one of the metal-shaping experts, so that the look of this motorcycle is so fierce.
Indeed, the appearance of the BMW R NineT looks very much different from the original version, which currently has a custom aluminum body with a steampunk, retro-futuristic style, and cafe racer. With almost all parts of the motorcycle covered by a new bodywork, only the wheels and cylinder head of the engine are visible.

Even the cockpit looks as if it merges with the gas tank, and also only has a tiny speedometer and buttons for the lights. Then for the front, visible on the motorcycle mounted a LED rounded headlight that looks modern in harmony with its new fairing.
While at the rear, the stern of this motorcycle appeared in the café racer style which is made like the wasp's tail and it can be pulled-back as access to the electrical system and USB port.

Then for the legs, this motorcycle gets a pair of custom rims and air suspension devices. So that when it stopped or being displayed, the bodywork position can be set to be so low that it looks almost touching the ground.
In the engine sector, everything is still in standard condition with a 1,170cc engine which is capable of spitting out 110 horsepower, except for the use of a custom exhaust system with the muffler look sticking-out next to the rear wheels.
