A study said, the Green light helps ease migraines

A new study shows that the green light exposure can help those who suffer from migraines and post-traumatic headache. In the Brain journal, the researchers from Harvard Medical School states, that the 'pure green light waves' help alleviate sensitivity to light, called photophobia, and can reduce the intensity of headaches.

The researchers said more than 80 percent of migraine sufferers experiencing photophobia, so many people suppress it by isolating themselves in a dark room and can not perform daily activities.

"Their inability to endure seeing the light most often makes them inactive," said Rami Burstein, a professor of anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School. He is the lead author of the study.

For this study, the migraine sufferers were asked to report how the effects of color and different light intensities to their headaches. In the light level as in the office in general, the patients reported only light green light that does not make their headaches worse. Other lamps, blue, yellow and red, make the head more sick.

The researchers said the patients reported that the green light reduces the intensity of their pain by about 20 percent. The reason, the green light creates less electrical signals generated by the retina of the eye and the brain cortex.

The main author of this study hope that the patients can immediately feel the immediate benefit of this finding. When the aircraft manufacturer made an electric motorcycle

It turned out that Airbus is not only an expert in the manufacture of aircraft, and through its subsidiaries in Germany named APWorks, they make a motorbike with a very light weight, which is only 40 kilograms (77 lbs).

As quoted from the AP, the vehicle can have a very light weight because it is made from aluminum alloy and are formed using a three-dimensional (3D) printer. The motorcycle was given the name 'Light Rider,' and have been introduced in Ottobrunn, Germany on Friday, May 20, 2016.

The vehicle also has a very simple shape. And a glimpse of the shape only consist of tubular frame is designed with many cavities. Designs like this contribute to a lighter weight of the motorcycle.

Its frame weight only approximately 7 kilograms (13 lbs) or 30 percent lighter than a conventional motorcycle. And the CEO of APWorks, Joachim Zettler said, that the motorcycle was made of metal powder by using lasermelting technology.

APWorks is taking orders for a limited run of 50 motorbikes. The selling price per unit is quite expensive, which is about €50 thousand, or approximately Rp.764 million. As well as a deposit of €2,000 as a booking fee.
This electric powered motorcycle is capable of driving up to a speed of 80 kilometers per hour (50 mph). And the Light Rider can cover a distance of 60 kilometers (37 miles) with its battery full charged.

Tokyo police gets the Nissan sportscars to hunt down the street vandals

Performance of Nissan 370 Z Nismo was very famous on the race track. Soon, the sportscar will also accompany the Tokyo Police in Japan while on duties. Nissan 370Z Nismo into a new fleet of the Tokyo police because it is considered capable enough to support traffic safety activities and hunting down the evil dirfter who often make trouble in the city.

As quoted of Carscoops on Sunday, May 22, 2016, according to Makato Fuji, a regional product manager of Nissan Motor, said that the police had been chose the 370 Z Nismo models to support their tasks on the road. As we knew, the Nissan sportscar used a 3.7-liter V6 engine which could spew the power of 350 hp.

The new police cars will be painted with the color combination of black and white. On the left and right body side contained the word 'Police' with Japanese police logo. While on the roof, there's a red rotator light.

The first car owner in Indonesia

Did U Know? - Indonesia, a sprawling archipelago in the southern hemisphere of the Earth, situated precisely in Southeast Asia, holds a captivating history in the realm of automobiles. The distinguished figure associated with being the first car owner in Indonesia is none other than His Highness Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono X.

Interestingly, His Highness Pakubuwono X could also be considered the owner of one of the world's inaugural cars. During the initial stages, car ownership was a privilege limited to a select few. Only the aristocracy and affluent individuals had the means to acquire these groundbreaking vehicles. 

His Highness Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono X, the monarch of Surakarta Hadiningrat, stands as a historical icon as the first person to own a car in Indonesia, dating back to the year 1894. The vehicle in question was the Benz Victoria Phaeton, a car so exclusive that it required a special order due to the scarcity of car manufacturers at the time.

His Highness Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono X directly placed an order with Benz & Companie Rheinische Gasmotoren-Fabrik, a German car manufacturer (precursor to the Mercedes-Benz today) through Pröttle & Co., a company located in Passer Besar, Surabaya and a renowned car salesman John C. Potter. Interestingly, the British gentleman also holds the distinction of being the first individual in Indonesia to own a motorcycle

In those early days, the process of crafting such an automobile took an entire year, and the cars had specifications that varied based on individual orders. Don't imagine a sleek modern design; these cars resembled regular carriages. The wheels, crafted from wood, were paired with airless tires akin to those used in horse-drawn carriages or "andong," commonly seen among the Javanese in Yogyakarta.

At the time, it priced at ƒ10,000 (approx. Rp. 83 millions), this car had the capacity to accommodate eight passengers. Its power source was a single-cylinder engine with a 2,000 cc capacity, generating up to 5 horsepower. Dubbed Kreta Setan or Devil Carriage, it earned its name due to its ability to move without the aid of horses.

Regrettably, the last known sighting of the Kyai Maruto (this is the designation given to the His Highness Pakubuwono X's Benz Victoria Phaeton by the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace) was in 1924, when it embarked on a journey to the Netherlands by sea. Departing from Semarang, it was slated to be showcased at the RAI Amsterdam Motor Show at the time. Since then, the car seemed to vanish into the folds of time. Its current whereabouts remain a mystery, although rumors persist that it might be displayed at the Louwman Museum, a private car museum in Leidschendam, southern Netherlands.
As the years progressed, the acquisition of cars in Indonesia burgeoned. Beyond serving as a mode of transportation, cars became a symbol of prestige among the affluent, nobility, and monarchs of the era. The rarity of large-scale car production and the high cost meant that only the truly wealthy could indulge in the luxury of car ownership. Is this the form of the Honda City Adventure scooter?

As quoted from Visordown, that Honda has patented the production version of the Honda City Adventure, and the scooter concept model had been shown at the EICMA event in Milan, Italy, last year..

From the pictures that circulated widely on the Internet, there are some differences that appear in the images compared to the concept version. There was a bit of a surprise here, the Honda City Adventure or called by a ADV or X-ADV in the production version is actually present with the addition of specifications than the concept version.

It's just that the overall design there are no noticeable difference. Among those changes was the front brake calipers on the concept version using conventional models. No other changes in the exhaust, reflectors, fork comes with new faces, as well as a larger hand guard.

Meanwhile, some of the same parts are adjustable windsreen and instrument panel are already using full color screen. Its drivetrain seems the same as the concept version, which uses the engine of the NC750 and transmission system using DCT semi-automatic. One thing to note is that scooters use the same basis of its sports models will be priced more expensive. Take the example of Integra scooter that uses a base of the NC700 motor sport, it priced more expensive at Rp.161 million. The same is likely to apply to the City Adventure or ADV or X-ADV. It will sold at the price will be higher than his brother, Honda NC750 motor sport.

A unique wooden carved car of China

Almost everyone must have a dream car or supercar, but the price of a supercar certainly very expensive. As a result, many people do not have enough money to buy it. Rather than harbored a desire, a lot of ways that people could do in order to have their dream car, one way is to make or create a replica of the car of his dreams.

For example, in China where a man managed to create an outstanding work, namely  a supercar out of wood. He is Yu Jietao who managed to create the car of his dreams thanks to his skills. The twenty seven years old man from Jiangxi province, China is indeed known as a reliable carpenter.

As reported by The News Wheel, as the initial stage of manufacture, Yu Jietao bought an electric car used it as the base of modifications. Then he was disarm the original body of the car and replace it with wooden custom body. The new car body is made of rosewood that famous for its good quality.

When viewed more closely, indeed the car design was not similar to any of supercars in general. According to him, he didn't really copy any car when he made it but he guess he wanted a sort of Lamborghini feel about it. The vehicle, which has beetle-wing doors and roofless, measures just over 13 feet in length and is just under five feet in width and height.  It has a dominant color of red and also has many carvings that decorated in some of its body parts.

For example, just look at the hood of the car, the carving results makes the car bonnet shaped like people's faces. While the carving on the door of the car to make it look like wings. But look at the shape that is unique and special, making his wooden supercar is very attracted many people and the media.

Seeing the high interest, many parties later interested to buy this unique car. In fact, one of the parties offered Jietao with a very high price which if the offer accepted could make he can buy an original supercar. Even so, it did not make Jietao sell the his supercar creations. Jietao more decided not to sell his wooden supercar to anyone and in any price.

It’s by no means a street-legal ride, Chinese police warned Jietao of this fact since the car wasn’t made by a licensed manufacturer. Otto Lilienthal flying machine being tested in wind tunnel

Before the Wright Brothers flew, a German pilot had managed to slide to fly for the first time. That man was Otto Lilienthal is considered the 'first man to fly,' after conducting a trial with a homemade glider 125 years ago.

As reported by Daily Mail, Friday, May 13, 2016, the researchers at the Germany Aerospace Center (Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt/DLR) has made a replica of one of the Lilienthal historic flying machine to learn how this plane could be flown, and also to gain insight into the fatal accident that befell this glider.

Lilienthal has pioneered early flight effort, and passion that eventually led to his death; on August 9, 1869, when the glider stalled and he fell from a height of about 50 feet, broke his neck. And he died at a hospital in Berlin the next day.
