Here's Centoventi, the newest Fiat' EV concept

At one of the world's most famous exhibitions entitled The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 held in Las Vegas recently, Fiat showed off what it said as the 'Affordable But Cool' or ABC EV concept named Fiat Centoventi. Although previously, this Italian automaker has introduced the concept car at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show last year
Fiat showed off the Centoventi Concept electric car specially designed for the company's 120th anniversary at the CES 2020. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/35XaGpf)
The Fiat concept car name: Centoventi is taken from the Italian which has a meaning for the number of 120. Where those number reflects the Italian manufacturer's journey in the world's automotive industry has entered the age of 120-year-olds.

Previously Fiat also had been launched its car production variants with a numerical notation like that, for example, Fiat 500, Fiat 124 Spider and other. But this time the company did not hesitate to make the electric-powered vehicle concept look more manly with the unusual boxy shaped and also a little bit different from the Fiat's typical design that we used to see in its previous car variants such as the Uno, Panda, etc.
Fiat Centoventi Concept is claimed to be a highly customizable vehicle, meaning that the car owner can continue to change the car looks as needed(Picture from: http://bit.ly/35XaGpf)
From its appearance, the Centoventi is not just a little hatchback, but this smallish city car is designed for always be customizable, meaning that the car owner can continue to change the car looks as needed. Although the photos in circulation use a blend of gray silver and white, that is not necessarily its production color.
See how's simple and cool of the Fiat Centoventi Concept interior design. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/35XaGpf)
Indeed, because Centoventi will be sold in one color. Even the owner can change colors by swapping the roof panel, bumper parts, wheel cover, and choosing a different exterior wrapping. No wonder if Fiat gave the Centoventi car's program name is '4U.' See how the interior design? The interior has a modular design, which will allow the owner to install interior accessories that can be chosen by himself, in plug and play mode.

Likewise its battery, Centoventi can be used to drive as far as 100 km or as far as 480 km. This pattern is similar to what is applied to a Tesla battery with just 1 battery. However, each model is accompanied by a piece of software that limits the range of mileage at the entry-level.

Fiat indicates that the batteries used can have extra range, and last longer. This is based on the quote from the release of Fiat "Perfect for urban commuting and a weekend gateway by the sea or in the mountains".

Centoventi has two screens that face outward. One was on the windshield and the other one behind. This means that the driver can project a message to the driver of another car that is passing by, while Centoventi is parking.

Fiat's electric-powered car plan is not yet clear. As we all knew, this Italian automaker has made an electric version of the Fiat 500 variant. And this action is only to fulfill the mandate as a non-emission vehicle and sold only in California alone. Beyond that Fiat has no intention of marketing its 500e in other regions.

So Centoventi is also a clear part of the company plans for the US market, along with the electric version of the Abarth 500 model have to be facing the Mini Cooper SE as the rival. Besides Fiat Centoventi, other brands of its FCA parent company, Chrysler also presents with the Airflow Vision concept. Meanwhile, Jeep has been introduced the hybrid version of Wrangler, Compass, and Renegade.
With so many automotive brands displaying the electric versions of their production vehicles, this gives a positive sign that the world's automotive industry had been steady for entering a new era of vehicle electrification in the near future. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DIGITAL TRENDS | SOMAG NEWS]

Did You know what is the Point Nemo?

The area on Earth that is spread out by a vast cluster of islands and oceans, but apparently still holds many certain areas to be still a mystery. One of them is a place that is named "Point Nemo" aka "no one" if translated into Latin. So-called because there's no one who has ever openly touched or arrived at the place because it is located far from the mainland. The name of Nemo is derived from the fictional submarine captain name of Jules Verne's novel entitled "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea."
Point Nemo, a mysterious and remote place on Earth that has not been touched by humans. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2G2mOLb)
As quoted from the Bombastis, when viewed from the map, the place was seen flanked by three continents namely Australia, America (southern part), and Antarctica, so that it seemed very remote and rarely noticed. No wonder the existence of Point Nemo is then used as a convenient "graveyard" for many retired spacecraft or defunct satellites after orbiting in outer space. So, what's the location like?

Point Nemo has become a deserted area that is rarely considered by most humans in the world. As quoted from Allthatsinteresting, the area located at 48°52.6′ South and 123°23.6′ West, even said to be the middle of nowhere because of the characteristic location that is surrounded by more than 1,000 nautical miles in each direction, can arguably the starting point as a place in the ocean far from the mainland. Then, if seen from the facts, there're no one lives close together in the area.
Because it was devoid of human life, then it was made into an unofficial "graveyard" of many defunct satellites and other retired spacecraft. At least 260 spacecraft mostly Russian's have been drowned in peace there. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2G2mOLb)
Because it was devoid of human life, Point Nemo was made into an unofficial "graveyard" of many defunct satellites and other retired spacecraft. For example, Russia's space laboratory, Mir with a weight more of 120 tons was once directed to land in this place in 2001. Then followed by China which also chose the north direction of Point Nemo is the location of the fall of its Tiangong-1 in 2018. In fact, the International Space Station (ISS), which weighs over 420 tons, is also planned to be buried at Nemo Point if it retires in the next 2024.

In the future, Point Nemo will probably no longer be a "graveyard" for retired spacecraft or satellites due to the future space rides will be designed completely burn in the atmosphere. So that Point Nemo will remain as it is, one of the world's most mysterious places. Strange but true is the fitted sentence pinned to give a glance picture of the existence of those mysterious Point Nemo.
Vehicles break up into thousands of pieces before hitting the water. Pictured is the European Space Agency craft Jules Verne during re-entry before landing in Point Nemo in 2008. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sqaSzz)
The Point Nemo discovered in 1992 by a survey engineer named Hrvoje Lukatela by using a geographic's computer software, which calculates the greatest distance coordinates of three land coordinates that are the same distance. It is very likely that no human has ever crossed those coordinates at all. Even, the inventor had never visited the location of Point Nemo. This remote ocean location is 2,688 kilometers from the nearest mainland - Ducie Island, part of the Pitcairn Islands, to the north; Motu Nui, one of the Easter Islands, to the northeast; and Maher Island, part of Antarctica, to the south.

Then, one of the mysterious unsolved events to date that has ever taken place in the area around Point Nemo is the mysterious sound of bubbles. At that time in 1997, the world's scientists were surprised when they detected one of the loudest underwater sounds ever recorded near the poles.

The sound later called "The Bloop" was caught by an underwater microphone that was more than 3,000 miles apart. Until now, there has been no further explanation about the sound. Given, the location of Point Nemo which is also remote and rarely visited by humans. As it turns out, some said the Bloop was actually the sound of ice breaking off of Antarctica and not the call of Cthulhu, a kind of sea monster.
Although there is a lot of speculation, there hasn't been any empirical research and visitation yet to gather information about the area. Until now, Point Nemo has only been known as a deserted water area and has not been touched by any human hands. No doubt, Point Nemo has become a mysterious remote place waiting to be revealed. Perhaps, it could be revealed by You someday. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE SUN | ALLTHATSINTERESTING]

Sony's first electric car debuted at the CES 2020

After decades it presences with various electronic products, it was very natural for Sony to join in and follow the current trend of making an EV. And finally at the largest electronic product exhibition titled the CES 2020 held in Las Vegas, the Japanese electronics giant manufacturer launched an electric-powered car prototype called the Sony Vision-S.
The Japanese electronic giant manufacturer, Sony has been revealed its first electric-powered prototype car named Sony Vision-S at the CES 2020 held in Las Vegas. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/385PDSQ)
As quoted from The Verge, this is an electric-powered prototype sedan that features 33 different sensors outside and inside the car and also embedded the company's made entertainment system. It is not surprising that there are so many sensors mounted on this concept car. Given that Sony is an electronics company that is already known as an image sensor developer that can be used to analyze the road in front of a vehicle.

The purpose of installing these sensors is to provide sensitivity and accuracy to the car for everything that happens around it. In other words, the various sensors are able to provide information in real-time, considering that future cars must be smart that are able to think, analyze the surrounding conditions and can drive by itself like a robot.
At glance the design of Sony Vision-S looks similar to the Porsche, especially on the headlights, but its overall front view looks a bit like the Lucid Motors' Air car made. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/385PDSQ)
What makes this car filled with a variety of advanced technology is thanks to Sony's efforts to partner with and work with several world-renowned technology companies such as Bosch and Blackberry, and not to mention Continental, Genetex, Nvidia, and Magna.

Other advanced features installed in this concept car include sensing technology that can detect and recognize passengers inside. This will allow passengers to control the entertainment system. Then on the dashboard of this car is also flanked by an ultra-wide panoramic screen that displays many driving and entertainment information.

The company mentioned that the prototype of this car will realize their contribution to the future of mobility. It is known that Sony Vision-S is also powered by the latest "designed EV platform", which appears to have been engineered by Magna. According to Sony, this car will be able to power other types of vehicles, such as SUVs.
On the cabin also has a pair of screen for passengers hung behind the front seat headrests. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/385PDSQ)
From its exterior appearance, at a glance, the design looks similar to the Porsche. Especially on the headlights, and the overall front view looks a bit like the Lucid Motors' Air car made. Meanwhile, from the inside, the Sony Vision-S car displays a widened screen on the dashboard like that installed by Chinese startup company EV Byton in its car, with a pair of screens for rear-seat passengers hung behind the front seat headrest.

It seems we still have to wait a while longer to find out whether Sony intends to bring  the Vision-S into the mass-production. In addition to the sedan, Sony also plans to make SUV models. This makes sense because the SUV demand trends around the world are showing an increase.
Later, with the presence of sedan and SUV products, this shows the seriousness of Sony to expand its business in the automotive sector. This means that in the future consumers will also benefit from the presence of a variety of electric car brands available on the market.

And at the end of the press conference at CES, Sony also briefly launched the latest logo for their PlayStation 5 gaming platform which will be released in the near future. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SONY | THE VERGE]

For information, the BlackBerry brand was originally under the company Research In Motion (RIM) and mastered the world smartphone market until the early decades of the 2000s. But after experiencing setbacks and from the remnants of RIM, BlackBerry Mobile was born as a company that focuses on the production of android and was acquired by a Chinese company, TCL Communication.

The QNX system functions to monitor traffic around motorbikes. The system created by both parties is called the CoPilot system that can give a collision detection or early warning system for the rider. The system was also combining radar, 1080p 360 degree camera, non-visual sensor, and telematics array. The camera and some sophisticated sensors can read the situation near the motorcycle.

All of those inputs can appear through the head-up display (HUD) on the rider's helmet or the motorcycle's panel display and at the same time, besides the system will alert the rider to the danger via handlebar vibrations (haptic warnings) and illuminated warning lights to prevent a possible accident.
Furthermore, according to Jay Giraud, the Damon Motorcycle CEO, "When you look at the forensics of (motorcycle) accidents in North America, Europe, and Asia, we overlapped all of the data to find that the common parallels. We saw that three-quarters of all motorcycle accidents occur in intersections, and two-thirds of the accidents are caused by drivers. Even though non-motorcyclists like to blame motorcyclists for speed or being crazy, riders are pretty tame, well-behaved people. We're just not seen."
On this motorbike is attached the battery with a capacity of 20 kW and cruising capability reaches 482 km. And the company claimed the motorcycle has the power up to 150 kW or equivalent to 200 horsepower. And the top speed of this eco-friendly sport motorbike reaches 321 kph. And reportedly, besides being produced in limited numbers, the company also will be sold the motorcycle at a price of around the US. $40,000 or around Rp.551 million.
