The Mitsubishi's first 4x4 car

The presence of the latest concept cars has become a common sight in an automobile exhibition, not least on the 2016 Sao Paulo International Motor Show in Brazil. But, what if there is a classic car displayed by the automotive manufacturers that have historically been important to the company? Of course, this is remarkable.

Well, the only automotive manufacturer that brings the classic car at the event is Mitsubishi. The car, named 'Mitsubishi PX-33' is a passenger car made in 1934 and has a quite unique body design. The part that is not less interesting is the PX-33 is the first Mitsubishi car equipped with 4x4 features.

In that time, the 4x4 feature only found on heavy vehicles and cargo operators, not in a passenger car. And actually, the PX-33 was created as a military vehicle by the Government of Japan in the early 1940s.

At that time, Mitsubishi only produce as many as four units. And the PX-33 is being exhibited at the event to be the only car that saved and maintained by Mitsubishi until now.

As quoted from Motor1 on Thursday, November 10, 2016, Mitsubishi PX-33 uses a 6.7-liter diesel engine capable of spewing the power up to 70 bhp. Aside from being a forerunner to the presence of Mitsubishi Pajero and Lancer Evolution with 4x4 features. This car also became the first injection engine applied in Japan. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1]
