An upgraded Google Glass could helped Autism patients

Like many people with autism, Julian Brown has difficulty reading the emotions on people's faces. Face detection software of Google Autism Glass gave him relief. "It helps me read the emotions of people," said Julian.

The facial recognition software was developed at Stanford University and runs on Google Glass, a computerised headset with a front-facing camera and a tiny display just above the right eye..
Julian Brown has trouble reading emotions in people's faces, one of the biggest challenges for people with the neurological disorder. Now the 10-year-old San Jose boy is getting help from 'autism glass.' (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ckVJK)
The main researcher Autism Glass, Dennis Wall said the device helps read facial expressions. "If they can read other people's faces, they become more able to deal with people and have more confidence in the community," said Dennis.

If the camera on the device detects emotion that indicates happiness or sadness, Julian saw the word "happy" or "sad" or emoji display on the screen.

Kirsten Brown, Julian's mother said, "Google Glass has helped our son to interact more with the family. Now he is more talkative. And when chatting, he frequently paused to get information about our emotions." Google Autism Glass is still in the early stages of the trial. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTISM GLASS PROJECT | DAILY MAIL]

GSX-R1000 style changed into a pure streetfighter

Having a relatively new superbike, certainly very dear if it should be modified quite extreme. But it does not apply to Ron Belfort, a man from Hawaii who gave up the 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 of his overhauled into the pure streetfighter styled bike named 'Five-O 1000'.

This decision was taken after Ron saw the Classified's Triumph 'Doomsdaytona.' And he wondered if his 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 could be modified in the same style—making it more upright, more raw, and more apocalyptic.

The execution had to cross the sea, because a motorcycle is done by the Richmond-based workshop Classified Moto. According to John, the owner of the workshop, said that technically the motor is called a streetfighter.

"It’s been a while since a project made me nervous. But this one definitely did. Partly because 'Classifying' a modern sportbike is a rarity, and partly because the bike was shipped all the way from Hawaii," John said.

Terms of the owners actually quite simple, and just ask for some things, especially with regard to security issues. Such as the use of the fuel tank which keeps the factory defaults, not much change the structure of the frame and swing arm, also want an under-seat exhaust.

"Fortunately subframe of the GSX-R1000 can be removed, with mounting points in logical places," explained John, who also said that the trellis subframe is fabricated by Danik Herashchanka, technical head in his shop.

Aesthetically, Classified has applied its scorched earth policy to the fairing and other plastics. They’ve replaced the molded plastic cover on the front of the tank with waxed canvas, stretched over a custom webbed frame.
In closing, to re-calibrate associated with the changes of exhaust, then the bike was also brought to the workshop Redline Performance Motorsports in Yorktown, Virginia. Thus the 180 horsepower engine performance is preserved.

You won't believe, the origin of future superfood candidates

You already know with these animals. Cockroaches, one of the animals who have a penchant for wandering around in dirty places. So that automatically makes us regard her as a grubby animal.

The tiny and nimble animals, also can make us run away when they start to fly. But now, think twice before killing cockroaches that you find at home. Because, a team of scientists at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine India have recently discovered that the cockroaches milk probably be one of the superfoods for us in the future.
The cockroach is one of the hardiest creatures on the planet; it can live for a month without food. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cj32y)
As we all knew, most cockroaches indeed breed by laying eggs. But the species of cockroaches Diploptera punctate be the exception. This species is the only cockroaches that reproduce by means of delivery.

D. punctate has a milk containing solid crystalline protein to breastfeed her child. "Initially, we do not believe this is a protein crystals," said Subramanian Ramaswamy, one of the researchers involved in the study. However, further studies of these crystals using X-rays revealed just the opposite.

From these experiments, it was revealed that the cockroaches milk include the most nutritious substances and loaded with calories throughout the planet. Crystals in milk contained fat, sugar, amino acids and other nutrients are four times more nutrients than cow's milk. Thus, cockroaches milk has a great potency to be food for human population that continued grow on Earth.

"This is a complete food," says Ramaswamy referring to the crystal cockroach. In the parent sac, embryo sipping liquids. Then the protein turns into solid crystals in their stomachs.

"Nothing is wasted. Their mouths open while the back is closed," said Ramaswamy when describing embryonic cockroaches. In the mother's pouch, the baby cockroaches rely on the nutrient concentrates to grow in the speed of aliens.

Because these animals do not have nipples, cockroaches milk can not be milked like a cow's milk, but will be processed into a kind of yeast. In addition, the brand "cockroaches" certainly not good in terms of business.

"I do not think people would like it if we tell them, 'We extract the crystals from cockroaches milk and process it became food'," says Ramaswamy.

In addition, further research is needed and a series of tests to determine whether the cockroaches milk safe for human consumption in the long term. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CNN]

Tegals Big Custom Motorcycle: A Unique Masterpiece

Custom Power - When we think of iconic motorcycle brands, names like Harley Davidson, Ducati, and Indian immediately come to mind. These companies have built a legacy around powerful engines and sleek designs, becoming synonymous with prestige and performance. However, in a small town in Indonesia, a group of young men sought to challenge these established names by creating their own masterpiece. Boy Rasta and Dimas Bagus, both inspired by these global giants, decided to craft a motorcycle that could rival the big names in terms of size and engine power.

Boy Rasta and Dimas Bagus, hailing from Tegal in Central Java, embarked on an ambitious project that would see them transform a 1998 Daihatsu Hijet engine, a 998cc machine, into a high-powered motorcycle. This wasn't just about creating a bike; it was about building something unique, something that could turn heads. The final product featured a massive 2.35-meter frame, giving it the imposing stature of big motorcycles like the Harley Davidson Fatboy.

The custom-built motorcycle stands out with its sleek matte black finish and cruiser style, reminiscent of the Harley Davidson Fatboy. In a country where the cruiser motorcycle style is almost synonymous with Harley, many who saw the bike initially assumed it was a Harley Davidson. The big wheels, with a 120/70 size at the front and 200/55 at the rear, were custom-made to match the bold look of the bike. To ensure reliable stopping power, double-disc brakes were added, a feature that enhances the bike's overall stability.

While the motorcycle is undoubtedly a visual beast, it's not just about looks. Weighing in at 1,500 kg, it’s surprisingly fuel-efficient. The engine, originally designed for a small car, consumes around 1 liter per 15 kilometers. Since the motorcycle is much lighter than the car it came from, this translates to even better fuel efficiency, a key factor that makes it stand out among its competitors.

The creation of this unique motorcycle took just three months, with Boy Rasta and Dimas Bagus working tirelessly to transform the engine and assemble the rigid frame. One of the biggest challenges they faced was modifying the transmission system to suit the motorcycle’s new setup. Despite these hurdles, their patience and precision paid off, and the motorcycle was completed to perfection.

One of the most striking features of this creation is its ease of maintenance. Should the engine need an overhaul, dismantling the bike is a straightforward process. The rigid frame was designed with a knock-down system, meaning that by simply removing the left and right frames, the engine can be easily lowered onto a wheeled table without the need for extra hands. This practical approach makes repairs easier and faster, adding to the bike’s appeal.

The custom motorcycle, though born from a blend of creativity and technical skills, has earned recognition and respect. The Mayor of Tegal then, Siti Masitha Soeparno, praised Boy Rasta and Dimas Bagus for their innovation, highlighting the project as an excellent example of applied technology. Their success goes beyond just building a bike; they’ve created a model that blends style, functionality, and ingenuity, offering a fresh take on motorcycle design.
In the world of big motorcycles, where names like Harley Davidson and Ducati reign supreme, the custom creation from Tegal stands as a testament to local innovation. Boy Rasta and Dimas Bagus may have started as two young men with a dream, but their hard work and vision have resulted in a motorcycle that competes with the best. Their journey shows that with creativity, dedication, and a little bit of daring spirit, even the smallest of places can produce something extraordinary.
