Turned out, the world's rarest wild boar species were live in Indonesia

The Bawean island is a small island in the Java Sea, lies around 120 kilometers north of Gresik, East Java province, Indonesia. Behind the beauty of Bawean island, it turns out save one of the rarest species in the world.

Not many people know when Bawean be home for Sus blouchi, a dwarf warty pigs species which are relatives of the Java wild boar (Sus verrucosus). At first glance the Bawean warty pigs looks like the wild boar in general. The pigs are characterized by distinctive markings. The females look very similar to wild boar while the males have three pairs of big warts on each side of the face.

And according to a study recently published in the PLoS One journal, revealed that the Bawean warty pigs are under threat of extinction. Mark Rademaker from the VHL University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands as well as the study author, said that if the current estimated only remaining about 250 mature Bawean warty pigs.

Furthermore, Rademaker added if the Bawean warty pigs population would drop dramatically suddenly due to changes in their habitat although the slightest, need to remembered the warty pigs isolated on the Bawean island. Moreover the Bawean wild boar are often regarded as the pests for the locals, so that they do not hesitate to kill the endangered species.
With a population of less than 250, Indonesia's Bawean warty pig is world's rarest pig. Experts said the animal deserves to be listed as endangered in IUCN's Red List. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ZckXd)
Rademaker initially thought the Bawean warty pigs extinct before finally recording these wild boar at the beginning of this year using the camera traps mounted in the forest. Then the video was uploaded on YouTube channel.
Rademaker was so happy because this is the first time the Bawean warty pigs recorded on the camera. Based on the video uploaded on YouTube, and the Bawean warty pigs more active at night than daytime or called as the nocturnal animals. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MERDEKA | TECHTIMES]

Who would have thought this cool car made of wood?

The appearance of a unique car that is as cool as the classic car from 1900s. However, who would have thought that most of these vehicles were made of wood materials? Wow, an outstanding car!!
Peter Szabo, from the village of Corunca, near Targu Mures, worked three years to build the wooden car, which he named Julia, after his wife. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ZUEQB)
The car builder is Peter Szabo, a man from Corunca, Romania. It took time of three years and spent about ‎£13,915 or $20,000 or approximately Rp.260 million to create this unique wooden car and named 'Julia The Woodroaster'.

Julia - named after Szabo's wife - is a concept car that combines the retro lines and old school growl of a classic automobile, with modern innovations. This can be seen from the car designs are similar to the cars made in 1900s. While the impression of a modern era can be seen from the headlights operating system and entertainment devices using the tablet.
Mr Szabo spent $20,000 (£13,915) on hard ash wood for Julia's shell and interior. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ZUEQB)
Most of the car's exterior and interior are made of wood, such as the body, dashboard, steering wheel, lever, and others. The car seats taken from  Mercedes Benz. This roofless car is able to accommodate four people. While for the engine, uses a 2.3-liter V6 engine which taken from the Ford Taurus. This Romanian wooden car could reach a maximum speed of 88 kilometers per hour.
"After building a wooden carriage I said I wanted a bigger challenge. It's very rare to find a hard wood concept car of very good quality. It's almost impossible to find it anywhere in the world. It was a hard time for me but also a happy time. It was a great happiness for me to build it," Peter said, as quoted by the Daily Mail. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYMAIL]

Here she is the true figure of motorcycle!

When talking about the new motorcycles, almost not endless. Every month, even weeks, sometimes on daily basis, there's always news about the new motorcycles. Since the first, Yamaha had been famous with the motorcycle that uses small cubication engine, has a unique shape and quirky, and also includes the naming of the motorcycle.

This time there is an interesting Yamaha motorcycle to be discussed, namely Yamaha Chivicker is a motorcycle concept that has a quite unique shapes and first introduced in the Tokyo Motor Show 2003 ago. At first glance, this concept motorcycle shown by combining the style of BMX bikes, with functionalities such as the motorcycles in general.

As already slightly mentioned above, the design of Chivicker carrying the themes of a BMX bikes with motorcycle engine. On some parts is synonymous with the BMX bikes  as on the handlebar and seat. Chivicker's frames carrying underbone model, where the 'bones' of its middle frame also serves as a fuel tank and carburetor filter.

For the front suspension still carry the identical model with motorcycles in general, but designed more tiny in order similar with a BMX bike. Meanwhile, the rear suspension uses horizontal models. Uniquely, on the front and rear axles, there are footrests as on a BMX bike. For the engine, Yamaha Chivicker concept uses a tiny 4-stroke engine that has a capacity of 50 cc. Although small, but enough to have fun while showing your free-style action.

But unfortunately the Chivicker concept is not up to the production line. Its sister concept, the 125 cc Tricker, spawned a production machine, but the Chivicker remained nothing more than a show bike. If you think once again, the Yamaha Chivicker is the true figure of motorcycle. Yes, a perfect combination of bicycle and motor/engine. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GLOBAL YAMAHA | TWWHLSPLS.COM]

Chinese company unveils real-life Iron Man suit for fun

The incredible suit looks a lot like outfit worn by Tony Stark in the hit movies - but it's a real-life invention. This might look like something out of a Marvel movie, but the massive exoskeleton is actually real.

The prototype 'mecha-exosuit' is a nod to the Robert Downey Jr Iron Man blockbusters as it's been put together by a team who are thrilled by comic books and cartoons.

The NK-01 has been showcased in Beijing by its proud owners, Chinese tech-company FutureWise. And much like Iron Man, the incredible invention can even be piloted by a person wearing the suit.

The grey, silver and black colour scheme even echoes Iron Man's fellow suit wearer War Machine, who features in the forthcoming Marvel film Civil War.

Han Lei, FutureWise's CEO explained: "When we were young my team and I loved watching robot cartoons."

"Many Chinese people… were influenced by Western and Japanese animations such as Transformers," he continued. "So, we teamed up to work on this project."

The 32-year-old is leading a team of 17 in Beijing's Zhongguancun tech area, as qouted of Mirror.co.uk. And while the suit itself is currently just a prototype, the company intends to become the first company to commercially produce these impressive futuristic outfits.
It should be noted though that unlike the attire of comic book hero Tony Stark, known also as 'Iron Man,' the suit is by no means an omnipotent war machine, but a tool of entertainment (just for fun). *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MIRROR | SPUTNIK]

A New Era: The First Titanium-Bodied Supercar

📢ONE-OF-A-KIND - The evolution of sports car materials has been a fascinating journey. Initially, metal was the go-to choice for car bodies due to its strength. However, this strength came with a trade-off: weight. As the desire for speed became paramount in sports car design, manufacturers began exploring lighter alternatives. Materials like aluminum and fiberglass gained popularity, offering a better balance between strength and weight. But as technology advanced, the quest for even lighter and stronger materials led to the adoption of carbon fiber, now a staple in modern sports car construction.

However, innovation in car design is relentless. Icona, a design firm with Italian roots and a global presence from its Shanghai headquarters, has consistently pushed the boundaries of possibility. Following their first project, the Icona Vulcano in 2013, they have now introduced the groundbreaking Vulcano Titanium. This unique supercar goes beyond the typical use of carbon fiber, incorporating titanium to set a new benchmark in the world of supercars.

The inspiration behind the Vulcano Titanium is as unique as the car itself. Samuel Chuffart, Icona's design director, drew from the world’s fastest plane, the Blackbird SR-71. The plane’s sharp silhouette and dramatic lines provided the perfect template for the Vulcano’s design. The result is a car that is not only visually stunning but also aerodynamically efficient. The body of the Vulcano is meticulously sculpted to channel hot air away from the engine and minimize air turbulence around the wheels, enhancing both performance and aesthetics.

What truly sets the Vulcano Titanium apart is its naked titanium body. This is not just a car; it’s a work of art, showcasing 10,000 hours of hand-crafted labor in its purest form. Every curve and line of the body is a testament to the skill and dedication of the craftsmen who brought this vision to life. The choice of titanium, while unconventional, underscores the innovative spirit of Icona. Titanium is known for its strength and lightness, but it is also notoriously difficult to work with, especially when crafting the complex shapes that the Vulcano demands.

Under the hood, the Vulcano Titanium is just as impressive. It features a mid-front engine that has been carefully calibrated for both road and race use. This engine is capable of propelling the car to speeds of up to 220 miles per hour, making it a true supercar in every sense of the word. The balance between power and beauty was a challenge that Chuffart and his team embraced. Achieving this balance meant finding the right mix between the car’s aesthetic appeal and its functional features, such as cooling cutouts and aerodynamic blades. The solution lay in simplicity, ensuring that the car's powerful features did not overshadow its elegant design.

The Vulcano Titanium was never intended for mass production. Instead, it was created as a showcase of Icona’s design prowess and the capabilities of their talented team. The car was brought to life by Cecomp, an Italian coachbuilder known for their expertise in crafting high-end vehicles. Despite the challenges posed by working with titanium, the final product is a stunning example of what can be achieved when design meets innovation.
In a world where supercars are often defined by their speed and power, the Vulcano Titanium stands out not just for its performance but for its artistry. It’s a reminder that the future of car design lies not just in pushing the limits of technology, but also in reimagining what is possible with the materials at hand. The Vulcano Titanium is more than just a car; it's a bold statement in the world of automotive design, embodying the perfect blend of power, beauty, and innovation. *** [EKA [22042016] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ICONA DESIGN | TOPGEAR | DESIGNBOOM ]
