Porsche Vision Gran Turismo specifically made to race virtually

Virtual BEAST The more you come here, the thinner the boundary between real and virtual feels, so that virtual world exploration has also become one of the automotive industry's players business strategies. This can be seen when Porsche AG. and Polyphony Digital Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment have presented a spectacular virtual racing car concept.
The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo can finally be played, but the real-life model is something to behold. (Picture from: Carscoops)
As we all know the ‘Gran Turismo’ series of virtual racing games has featured Porsche sports cars since 2017, most recently the Taycan Turbo S. For the launch of the seventh edition of the game, also for the first time, Porsche developed a vehicle purely for the virtual world.
Porsche are fond of drumming up a headline through the use of a little wishful thinking and a model they call a Vision Gran Turismo concept car. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
Here's the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo, it is the manufacturer's first sports car concept study built specifically to drive virtually in computer games, and would be available exclusively in Gran Turismo 7 which released on March 4, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game consoles.

By partnering with Polyphony Digital, Porsche not only demonstrates a special visionary approach, but again demonstrates the high level of expertise among its designers. Freed from the constraints of model development for series production, they were able to realize their own idea for a Gran Turismo concept car.
The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo virtual race car features a future-oriented version of familiar Porsche design elements. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
"A vehicle designed purely for cyberspace opens up exciting possibilities for us that are otherwise very much set in the regular design process for series production cars. Projects like the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo are invaluable to us in the creative process. Further developing our clearly defined Porsche Design DNA and trading with designers from other industries is an important part of our job," said Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche.

The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo virtual race car features a future-oriented version of familiar Porsche design elements. The concept car exemplifies the brand's signature proportions with a very sporty height-to-width ratio, a very low bonnet and very prominent wings.

The highly pristine headlights and integrated air inlet create a visual link to the Taycan's design language which draws heavily on the car's pure electric drive. The rear is adorned with a very narrow light strip which is a further development of the headlights familiar from the 911 and Taycan models.

The clear emphasis on brand identity continues in the interior, with a curved holographic display, tailored to the driver, that appears to hover over the steering wheel. Furthermore the realistic appearance of surfaces in the interior also plays a major role. The low seating position underlines the dynamic feel of the car.

"We spent a long time considering the right material design consisting of carbon and titanium. The aim is to reduce weight while increasing performance. In addition, the sustainable aspect also plays a role in forward-looking projects. For example, we only use completely vegan materials in the concept car," said Markus Auerbach, Head of Interior Design at Porsche.

"Porsche's appeal comes from its pristine design, and when it comes to engineering expertise, we and Porsche follow the same perfectionist philosophy. We share the same passion for racing and are looking forward to future cars," said Kazunori Yamauchi, President, Polyphony Digital.

As well as the purely design-related theme, there are also new functions that contribute to a strong sports car feeling, with players experiencing haptic feedback via the controller, which mimics the feel of a steering wheel. This fast and direct feedback is reminiscent of a real racing car. Expanding its gaming activities also has strategic significance for Porsche.

"We were able to engage a young and digital target group in the cradle of their automotive dreams: the world of games. The partnership with Polyphony Digital and 'Gran Turismo' is a perfect fit for Porsche, because motorsport (whether real or virtual) is part of our DNA," said Robert Ader, Vice President of Marketing at Porsche AG.
Porsche creates an authentic and emotional experience. In this context, video games and virtual worlds offer new opportunities to make sports cars interactive, and to make driving experiences accessible. This integration of the first Porsche sports car developed purely for virtual space is an important milestone in the strategic partnership between Porsche AG. and Polyphony Digital Inc.
For this reason, Porsche has been working with various companies from the gaming industry for several years and these activities are now an integral part of the marketing mix. The ultimate goal is to create a brand experience that lasts. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PORSCHE | GRAN-TURISMO | CARSCOOPS | ]

Here's Koenigsegg RAW digital concept supercar with power-to-weight ratio 1:1

Digital ONES In 2019, we once presented an Article related to several automotive designs created by designers for the big Swedish automotive brand, Koenigsegg. So, regarding this matter, we feel that we have missed something, because there is one supercar design that we have missed.
The Koenigsegg RAW which originated as a thesis project titled 'RAW by Koenigsegg' of a Finnish design student of the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, named Esa Mustonen in 2020. (Picture from: TopSpeed)
The concept car referred above is the Koenigsegg RAW which originated as a thesis project titled 'RAW by Koenigsegg' of a Finnish design student of the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, named Esa Mustonen in 2020 for the RAW Design House, a Swedish design house responsible for the four-seater Koenigsegg Gemera hypercar.
The Koenigsegg RAW concept car is an entry-level digital supercar design concept featured with a three-seater interior layout, a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. (Picture from: Autocar)
The Koenigsegg RAW is an entry-level digital supercar design concept featured with a three-seater interior layout, a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, and under the supervision of Christian von Koenigsegg himself while was in the developing process. Although so far there has been no official confirmation whether this car would be produced, Koenigsegg RAW is certainly a very interesting entry-level supercar.
The Koenigsegg RAW concept car uses various technologies such as the FreeValve engine, which uses pneumatic valves, also combined with the camshaft, throttle bodies and timing belt in general. (Picture from: TopSpeed)
Like Koenigsegg' other concept cars, the Koenigsegg RAW also uses various technologies present in the Swedish hypercar line-up, such as the FreeValve engine, which uses pneumatic valves, also combined with the camshaft, throttle bodies and timing belt in general.
The Koenigsegg RAW concept car retains some of Koenigsegg's signature design identity. Starting from the windshield like a jet airplane, and the door that opens and rotates, the difference is that this concept car rotates it backwards. (Picture from: Autocar)
Well, the Koenigsegg RAW concept car is powered by a three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2,000 cc which is said to be capable of producing up to 700 hp, when it combined with the car's empty weight of 700 kg, you would find a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, the same as Koenigsegg One:1 which was made by the Swedish automaker company back in 2015.
Enter the Koenigsegg RAW' cabin, where you will find a three-seater cabin with the driver is in the middle, and two passengers sat behind in the right and left. (Picture from: CintaMobil)
If you look at its very light weight, this is possible thanks to the use of carbon fiber tube material which is commonly used as chassis on Formula 1 racing cars, where the drivetrain, suspension and body are attached to the tube.
The Koenigsegg RAW concept car is powered by a three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2,000 cc which is said to be capable of producing up to 700 hp. (Picture from: TopSpeed)
Then if we seen the design, Koenigsegg RAW looks not excessive, with a front design that seems firm, presents a large air intake that directs the wind towards the rear of the car. The rear looks unusual, with almost no overhang which leaves the rear tire surface barely covered by the fenders.
The Koenigsegg RAW concept car looks not excessive, with a front design that seems firm, presents a large air intake that directs the wind towards the rear of the car. (Picture from: TopSpeed)
One of the interesting details is also the very large diffuser as the wind exit from the front of the car. Of course, Koenigsegg RAW retains some of Koenigsegg's signature design identity. Starting from the windshield like a jet airplane, and the door that opens and rotates, the difference is that this concept car rotates it backwards.
Of course, the Koenigsegg RAW concept car will be an attractive choice as an entry-level supercar if Christian von Koenigsegg decides to produce this car someday. (Picture from: TopSpeed)
Enter the Koenigsegg RAW' cabin, where you will find a three-seater cabin with the driver is in the middle, and two passengers sat behind in the right and left. It said, this such seater layout provides optimal control for the driver, and as well as visibility for the passengers. Here we can see that Koenigsegg RAW is clearly inspired by the iconic hypercar of the 90s, the McLaren F1, and its successor, the McLaren Speedtail.
Well with such an eccentric design, power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, as well as a three-seater interior layout. Of course, the Koenigsegg RAW concept car will be an attractive choice as an entry-level supercar if Christian von Koenigsegg decides to produce this car someday. This is the first Alpine's electric-powered hatchback with a more aggressive appearance

Mini GREEN As previously stated, it seems that the world's automotive industry players are increasingly determined to enter the era of electric powered vehicles. So do not be surprised if at this time one of the French automaker companies, such as Alpine Cars, also stated its readiness to enter the era of electric cars.
The Alpine A290_β concept car is presented as a preview of Alpine's new electric hatchback. (Picture from: MoveElectric)
For this reason, the French automotive company has recently introduced its newest concept car called the Alpine A290_β (Beta). This car is presented as the first preview concept car of a series of electric cars to be released by this performance brand owned by Renault.
This Alpine A290 Beta show car has a similar silhouette to the Renault 5 Electric featured with a typical Alpine's four-eyes fascia with a more aggressive appearance. (Picture from: ArenaEV)
Well, what makes the Alpine A290 Beta is unique, as it's said to have the potential to become the first hatchback product to return to the Alpine name since the Renault 5 Alpine. This revealed by Laurent Rossi, Chief Executive Officer of Alpine Cars that the Alpine A290_β is the first stage in the new era of Alpine, and this urban show car has rewritten the rules for electric-powered hot hatchbacks.
The Alpine A290 Beta has the same cabin layout as the McLaren F1, where the driver sits in the middle, and two passengers seats mounted behind it on either side. (Picture from: MoveElectric)
Related with the Renault 5 Alpine, it is not surprising that the Alpine A290 Beta carries a design silhouette similar to the Renault 5 Electric concept car. As it bringing a similar futuristic impression, so the Alpine version of the Renault 5 Electric has a typical Alpine four-eye fascia with a more aggressive appearance.
The Alpine A290 Beta's cabin is like a fighter jet has, featured with the tapered dashboard shape and the switch console placed above the driver. (Picture from: GridOto)
Of course Alpine didn't make the A290 Beta a run-of-the-mill urban electric hot hatch concept. This can also be seen when entering the interior, the A290 Beta has the same cabin layout as the McLaren F1, where the driver sits in the middle, and two passengers seats mounted behind it on either side.

The treats provided by the A290 Beta also have a mix of sports cars, hypercars and racing cars rather than the usual hatchback. In addition, the company also claimed that the interior of the Alpine A290 Beta is like a fighter jet. Let's say it has a carbon fiber bucket seat driver's seat and a flat steering wheel with an overtake button.
Well, another fighter jet references in the A290 Beta cabin can also be seen from the tapered dashboard shape and the switch console placed above the driver. Unfortunately, Alpine still hasn't divulged what the specifications for the Alpine A290 Beta will be or when the production version will launch. We'll wait and see....! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ALPINE CARS | MOVEELECTRIC | ARENAEV | AUTOBANT ]
