The high-performance electric-powered car candidate from England

New EV Here's another British new electric vehicle was presented in the automotive world. Well, this new EV called the Alcraft GT came out from the automotive start-up company, and is claimed to be ready to challenge established electric car manufacturers like Tesla Motors.

The new electric car is built by the Alcraft Motor Company founded by entrepreneur David Alcraft back in 2012. The start-up company supported by several former executives and designers from Morgan, Toyota, Daewoo and Michelin, along with Delta Motorsport, whose then brought all of their expertise in electric drivetrains, battery systems to develop this EV.

The British company would be launched the Alcraft GT in 2019. Reportedly, previously they had launched a crowdfunding campaign (in Indiegogo) starting on August 2017. In the campaign, Alcraft is offering those who were interested "a great opportunity to play a role in the development of the car, which will be the new British car brand."

At the time, those of you who are interested able to donate between £10 to £25,000, and in return, they would be given the opportunity to go on a VIP tour at Silverstone, plus drive the Alcraft GT for the first time. In addition, depending on the donation amounts, applicants may also receive an exclusive electric bicycle from Cyclotricity, and a set of luxury watches from Matthew Humphries Design.

"We want to build a British car company that brings together traditional skills and high technology for today's rapidly growing low carbon car market," said David Alcraft in his official statement.

“We combined great design, outstanding dynamics and sharp electric pedals to create a product that not only has the high performance of a supercar, but is also useful in everyday life. We hope this will position Alcraft Motor in the UK's low volume car industry."

The design features very clean surface lines and visible structural elements. The pillars and exposed carbon fiber roof structure are part of the aesthetic but serve as a protective structure and material to make the cabin extremely light, along with the roof being mostly glass.

The all-new Alcraft GT carried a shooting brake bodystyle, with a 2+2 seating layout, featured with cabin space of 500 liters. The car will also be equipped with a three-motor powertrain and a 4WD drive system, with a total power of 600 hp and 1,139 Nm (840-ft.lbs) of torque.

Under this configuration is said to be capable of accelerating the car from 0-100 kph in just 3.5 seconds, and the Alcraft GT will also have a cruising range of 483 km (300 miles) on a single battery charge. While its battery are in a T-shaped package positioned behind the driver's seat and between the passenger seats, and for the price, reportedly the company costs the car ranging from £135,000 to £145,000.
Well, until now we have not found any information related to this car project (still in the form of car model made of 33% foam for design verification purposes).
