New crossover concept from Taiwan

Before an auto expo was held officially, the world's automotive manufacturers were usually reluctant to display or leak their new car info. But not with one of the Taiwanese automotive manufacturers, San Yuan Design.

For most of us, the name of this car manufacturer might sound familiar. Now through the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Taiwanese auto manufacturer is rumored to have an alliance with Yamaha intending to go international, by introducing their newest concept car named, San Yuan Concept.

As reported by Zing, the San Yuan Concept combines the concept of crossover and 2-door coupe. The car shown with eye-catching design themes. But if you look closely, the design was similar to the Nissan Juke and Toyota C-HR.

This car is also mentioned oriented to the future car, with its front view looks modern. The lighting system has also applied the LED lights. Then the front grille is given a glossy black color and a three-circle logo is attached which will instantly remind us of the Audi logo.

San Yuan Concept is equipped with a luxuriously designed dual-tone multi-spoke alloy wheel. While the cabin looks bright with a mixture of bright colors, red, white, yellow, blue and black.

There are two big screens on the dashboard, one of which functions as an entertainment system. One other screen is positioned slightly downward, which functions to control the HVAC or four-seat layout.
The car cabin seems modern as well. There are almost no settings buttons for the feature. The buttons were on three digital display units. Uniquely, its steering wheel adopted an aircraft stick design. We don’t know what powers it, but the rev meter’s red line starts at 6,000 rpm, so that suggests it has a conventional gasoline engine, matched to an automatic transmission. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SAN YUAN | AUTOCAR | CARSCOOPS]

EDAG's Future CityBot for ease the urban living

EDAG, which claims to be the largest independent German development service provider in the world, has not only presented its scalable bottom for electric vehicles. But with "EDAG CityBot" it now also presents a game-changer for the city of the future.
The EDAG six-wheeled robocar on display at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2MWLG9X)
The German engineering firm built this six-wheeled, 22nd century-esque prototype to showcase its expertise. It’s presumably electric and the armada of cameras, sensors, and radars suggest it’s capable of driving itself – at least in theory.

As a fully autonomous transport and work vehicle, EDAG wants to get out of the city traffic infarction with its EDAG City Bot and thus open new business models for its own company. For the first time, the fully autonomous network robotic vehicle will be exhibited at the IAA 2019.
A CityBot passenger vehicle and street sweeper. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2MWLG9X)
At least one of the many models that will be available at a later date. Thanks to numerous modules of trailers and backpacks, the electrified vehicle should be able to master transport and work situations of all kinds in the urban area and be in motion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Designed as a so-called multimodal mobility concept, the EDAG CityBot is presented as an intelligent, multifunctional and fully autonomous robotic vehicle that emits zero emissions through the propulsion of the fuel cell.
Each forward-drive module could pair with city maintenance, cargo delivery, dump truck, passenger cell, and other modules throughout the day, doing the work of a number of individual vehicles. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2MWLG9X)
The vehicle is characterized by its modularity and multifunctionality. outside, which is also available 24 hours operating modules and on-demand, for example it can be configured as a passenger compartment, cargo carrier or city cleaning device. Therefore, the EDAG CityBot can certainly be understood as a smart alternative to private transport, which uses autonomous driving intelligently for various applications in urban mobility.
The concept points to all mobility actors in the new ecosystem: OEMs, urban planners, and urban planners, infrastructure associations, transport companies, waste disposal and transportation, municipal and logistics facilities. If these are based on the new EDAG vehicle, city dwellers should be able to move, stress-free and without congestion, and live in a city without emissions.

And all of those could be Your future robotic servants? Maybe. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NEW ATLAS]

All of those scooters are created from the skilled hands of designers and engineers who have built them starting from the design up to becoming the real forms with a touch of qualified engineering added with high-level art.

So do not be surprised if many of the classic scooter models are used as a source of inspiration for automotive designers today in making the design of the future vehicles. For example, the following is a design concept created by a participant in an internship at Mercedes Benz Design Stuttgart and later used as her diploma thesis supported by the German automotive giant, Daimler AG. The designer of this future scooter concept is an industrial design student from Bielefeld named Anneke Bastert.

An eccentric-shaped prototype car from Toyota

The world's sports car enthusiasts were recently surprised by the presence of a new Toyota car design. Although the car has a slightly unique shape, so there are those who consider it as a substitute for the legendary Toyota MR2.
An eccentric-shaped prototype car called Toyota La Coupe on displat at a ferry terminal in Nishima, Japan. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/35xEkSZ)
Apparently it's not just design. This new Toyota model which is called unattractive actually has a prototype version. The photo was shared by members of the SupraMKV forum, via Carscoops recently.

The car model was given the name Toyota La Coupe and was displayed at a ferry terminal in Naoshima, Japan, some time ago. But the car looks older than the picture spread via Twitter. Previously the photos distributed on Twitter showed that the car was at the Ginza Sony Park in October last year.
Previously the Toyota La Coupe picture was shared by members of the SupraMKV forum. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2IPgp7N)
This car is more interesting because it is considered never appeared before and is quite mysterious. Toyota La Coupe itself is known as a 2-door coupe concept car that has a pair of oval shaped headlamps with a slightly tapered tip and a DRL unique design.
Toyota La Coupe itself is known as a 2-door coupe concept car and powered by a hybrid system. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2OTyvZV)
The Toyota La Coupe also has a front spoiler embedded with a blue-colored Toyota logo. It reminds us, those blue-colored logo is usually used by Toyota for their hybrid cars. So, indirectly the car has been known to use environmentally friendly powertrain.
Toyota La Coupe on displat at the Ginza Sony Park back in October last year. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/32o6VIk)
Then on the back is more unique than the front. The car's rear section looks like a reflection from the front. It's just with the use of different forms of rear lights. There are very few interior photos, and of the few that exist, they only show small sections of the interior such as the instrument cluster and centre stack.
Toyota La Coupe features a rarely seen styling feature with the front and rear lights being virtually identical. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/32o6VIk)
Judging off these pictures, the interior is very basic, with two circular digital displays showing only essential information such as speed, fuel level, current gear and battery level. This also indicates that the La Coupe is a hybrid.
The interior is very basic, with two circular digital displays showing only essential information such as speed, fuel level, current gear and battery level. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2OTyvZV)
But until now everything is still in a mystery. But that's not the end of the story. What's interesting is the fact that Toyota made this design proposal in the first place.
Toyota La Coupe is very futuristic with many smooth, flowing lines creating a rounded, aerodynamic shape. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/32o6VIk)
So while the design of the La Coupe will not be seen in the showroom, it still opens the possibility that Toyota, indeed, contemplates a middle-engined coupe at least.
There has been talks of a new Celica or MR2 in the past. In fact, Toyota Gazoo Racing chief Tetsuya Tada said that he is keen on bringing in a third Toyota sports car. But as to what it will be, it will be a long wait for the answer, if ever it comes at all. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SUPRAMKV | CARSCOOPS | AUTOINDUSTRIYA | DRIVETRIBE]
