Hongqi showing up its 2 futuristic car concepts at Frankfurt

One of the Chinese luxury car brands, Hongqi (translates as "Red flag") was listed as one of the surprise participants at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, considering that so many other auto brands that were far more popular in Europe just not shown up.

At the Hongqi booth in those auto expo was seen showing two units of its production vehicles, but they only served the purpose to raise knowledge and awareness among the exhibition visitors on the luxury auto brand owned by FAW Group.

1. Hongqi S9 Hypercar

The first and can be said to be the spectacular is the Hongqi S9 which was their first self-designed and made hypercar. According to the head of FAW Group, Xu Liuping, the Hongqi S9 concept packs a "V8T hybrid power system," leading us to believe that this powertrain combines a V8 turbo petrol engine with one or several electric motors as its driving force.

The Chinese manufacturer claims the S9 hybrid powertrain is capable of producing maximum power of up to 1,400 horsepower, thus enabling the hypercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 1.9 seconds and its top speed reaches up to 400 kph. Even though it sounds crazy, Hongqi said that they really will produce this S9 hypercar.

"S9 is not just an exhibition car, it will be put into mass production and sent to the customers in 2021," Xu said. And the price for the Hongqi's first hypercar with a carbon fiber body with butterfly door type is reportedly touching the figure of 2 million Euros (US. $2.2 million).

2. Hongqi E115 SUV

The second is the Hongqi E115, this is an electric SUV that is claimed to offer a mileage of 600 km (373 miles). The Chinese company also said that their AWD SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in less than 4 seconds.

Furthermore this China company does not provide details about electric motors and batteries. Only, it was said that this concept vehicle featured the Level 4 autonomous driving technology.

Hypercar-engined tactical vehicle

If the Audi autonomous offroad EV not meet with your desires. And if you are an offroader who prefers a cool hypercar to support you when cross various heavy terrain. Yes, currently there's a hypercar that fulfills your such desires.

Its named the Protos RM-X2, a hypercar-engined off-road vehicle made by Ramsmobile and referred as Multipurpose Hypercar. Maybe then you will ask, what are the advantages so it called a hypercar? Yes, this car deserved to be a hypercar, because in terms of performance it's capable of producing power up to 1,000 hp of its 6L engine.

As quoted from the Drivetribe pages which states that the company is specifically building the high-performance Hummers and Humvees. Furthermore, on the company's official Twitter account mentions a slogan, "Manufacturer of the most expensive and luxurious off road vehicles in the world". We think with such a slogan, the car made by those manufacturer deserves to be included as a hypercar.

With the status of multipurpose hypercar, the appearance of this car at a glance resembles a Humvee but with a lighter weight of only 1.8 tons. The whole body is made of a combination of carbon composites, kevlar and titanium so it can withstand the lunge of bullets when being shot with 7.62 mm caliber bullets, or included in the B6/B7 armour classification (and the B7 is available on a client requested only).

Then for the engine, the manufacturer offers 3 options. For the first, by using a LT5 supercharge engine with a capacity of 6.2 liters taken of Corvette C7 ZR1, so it able to produce power up to 999 hp. The second, by using a 6.6 liter Duramax V8 diesel engine is mated to an Allison transmission system that is also used on General Motors heavy trucks.

While the third option was a quite surprising, it will be offered by using a number of electric motors and special batteries. But unfortunately the specifications are not mentioned yet. For the performance, the highest acceleration at 100 mph whereas the time is 6.3 seconds to devour the speed of 98 kph, which means it's faster than Bentley Bentayga.

There're three variants of the Protos RM-X2 will be made, the first is the Asthetic, this variant uses a 6.2 liter LT5 engine and it becomes the lightest. The next variant was the 'Devil's Touch' version carried the luxury and darkness themes. The combination of technology and mystical aura by adding gold trim on the wheels, and also pinned the continuous track in the middle of the car such as tanks or snowmobiles and able to accommodate 6 people in it.

The final variant is the 'God’s Creation' edition, it's said to be launched next year. This third version meets the hyper abilities criteria with the strongest protection. The company also offered the smoker's cabin package, unlike other cars that give you ashtrays and cigar lighters in the cabin. This one fits with electronic hookahs can be maximized as a smoke, temperature controller and also save smoking parameters level. Some of them are prepared to be able to float in shallow waters and the company is working on converting the exhaust into a jet system. The underside is also Teflon-coated to make it easier to clean.

Audi stunned Frankfurt auto expo with an autonomous offroad EV

Perhaps you are an offroad vehicles fan who would like to know the figure of offroad vehicles in the future. Well, might be this's a good news for you. Apparently amid the high enthusiasm of the world-famous automotive manufacturer on electric vehicles also touched the offroad vehicle segment.

At one of the world's automotive expos: the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi presented an offroad electric-powered vehicle concept named the Audi AI: TRAIL. The offroad EV concept already combines an autonomous driving system with extraordinary capabilities on various challenging terrains.

Through this concept, Audi wants to preview some of the design changes they have in mind for their future SUV models. The Ingolstadt-based auto manufacturer developed the AI: TRAIL with a broad perspective for passengers while in the cabin to enjoy the atmosphere and make it easier to monitor the terrain to be traversed.

"Presenting the AI: TRAIL, we want to show the offroad vehicle concept with electric drive without emissions for an innovative driving experience away from the highway," said Audi Head of Design, Marc Lichte. As quoted of Carscoops, on Thursday, September 11, 2019, this concept car was the fourth member of the Audi AI concept series, which began with the Aicon concept back in 2017.

This Audi concept car has a lightweight but rigid body structure thanks to a blend of high-tech steel material, aluminum and carbon fiber with a total weight of only 1,750 kg.

And the German company give visibility that offers passengers a broad viewing through the transponder glass, both front and sides. In the interior, the dashboard is free from any display. They only pinned a smartphone as an indicator panel and control center of the vehicle navigation system.

This Audi concept car embeds four electric motors that are assigned to drive all the wheels with combined output power reaching up to 429 horsepower (435 ps) and torque of 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). This concept car has also been integrated with an autonomous technology and typical Audi Quattro vehicles with four-wheel drive.

Unfortunately until now, Audi has not revealed the capacity of the battery pack yet. They only say the car can travel as far as 248-310 miles (400-500 km) on a paved road or 155 miles (250 km) on rough roads. Mercedes-Benz vision of the future luxury sedan

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS moves by using 2 electric motors capable of producing power up to 476 hp and torque of 760 Nm. So that makes it able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds and can be run to top speed up to 200 kph. The electric power came from the batteries are stored on the floor.

And its power of battery is believed to be equivalent to super sports car capabilities. If the battery is in a fully charged condition, then this car is claimed to have a cruising capability of up to 700 km. And for the fast charging only in 20 minutes has able to fill to 80% of its battery capacity.

The Vision EQS's interior is inspired by yachts that can be seen from the dashboard blends with the body and design that surrounds the passengers like a yacht cabin. According to the German auto giant, in the future Mercedes-Benz cars will take inspiration from this design. Not to forget, in this car  includes an MBUX voice control system combined with a screen that can appear from behind the dashboard and ambient color with Connected Light technology.

The interior material chosen by Mercedes-Benz is made of Dinamica microfiber which is made from recycled PET plastic bottles. This material is combined with artificial leather which has a look like Nappa leather. Finally, the car ceiling is made of material taken from the recycling of ocean plastic wastes.

The platform used by Mercedes-Benz for Vision EQS is also designed as a modular platform that can be shortened and extended as needed. So this platform can be used for other types of vehicles. Talking about a future car is incomplete without an autonomous driving system.

Hyundai introduces its all-electric '45' concept in Frankfurt

Hyundai Motor Co. launched its electric-powered concept car at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show to strengthen its lineup with environmentally friendly models. The Hyundai '45' concept adopts the next generation of "sporty sensuous" design directions, which are defined by the harmony of four fundamental elements in vehicle design: proportion, architecture, style and technology.

This is the figure of the all-electric Hyundai '45' concept which was revealed as a sign of a new era of Hyundai's automotive design that focuses on electrification, autonomous technology, and intelligent design. The somewhat weird name of the concept actually has a pretty simple explanation.

The design of the all-electric Hyundai '45' concept is the result of a re-imagination of the Hyundai Pony Coupe Concept was on display 45 years ago. Those number represents 45 years since 1974, when the South Korean automaker launched those Pony Coupe Concept at the Torino Motor Show, as reported by Yonhap on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Its iconic character is defined by the monocoque body, aerodynamic and lightweight design inspired by 1920's aircraft. The name of the car also implies a 45 degree angle on the front and rear, forming a diamond-shaped silhouette.

"As an icon of Hyundai '45' concept clearly shows how the company is heading for the future through its heritage," said SangYup Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of the Hyundai Design Center.

The interior is inspired by furniture design today. The minimalist cabin is complemented by a blend of wood, fabric and leather which creates a warm, relaxed and spacious atmosphere.

VW ID.3, a symbol of the Volkswagen's new era

The Volkswagen ID.3 electric car has become a superstar in one of the world's automotive events, the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show held on September 12-22, 2019. By saying these all-electric hatchback-designed vehicles as an exhibition star, it feels no exaggeration due to the car indeed was already ordered up to 30,000 units for several European countries including Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Like all future VW ID models, the VW ID.3 is based on a modular electric drive matrix (MEB), which has been designed for an uncompromising electric drive system.

The German  auto giant will also produce 33 different electric vehicle models based on the MEB platform in the next three years. The plan will be also applied to the other brands under the VW group. As we all know, Volkswagen is a German automotive giant that houses major brands including AUDI, Porsche and Skoda.

Further the VW ID.3 has revolutionary car interior. Its long wheelbase of the MEB layout, combined with very short overhangs, results in a spacious interior. With the space and spaciousness of its, the ID.3 with 5-seater sets a new standard in the compact class vehicles.

The display and control elements are completely new, but very easy to operate. Apart from the cockpit display, the newly developed and positioned ten-inch touch screen at the center provides all important information to the driver.

At the beginning of the launch, ID.3 will come with 3 battery size options. The basic variant features a 45 kWh battery that can take you traveling up to 330 kilometers. The next option is a 58 kW battery with a range of up to 420 km. The last variant is battery with the largest energy content of 77 kWh and a distance of up to 550 km.

The ID.3 battery can be charged in a 100 kW fast charging system in 30 minutes so you can explore 290 km. Although until now the German company has not announced the full specifications of the car, and at what price. But it is estimated that VW ID.3 will be sold at prices starting from €30,000 (Rp.467 million).

The Aventador's appearance under a spell of the 'Darth Vader' spirit

This Lamborghini Aventador's modification looks very mysterious like the antagonist in the Star Wars movie, Darth Vader. The Aventador body change to be wider was made by the chubby-wider body specialist from Japan, Liberty Walk.

It starting from a layer of color that is given to all over the surface with the black glossy color. In addition to body color, the appearance of the Aventador is also supported by the new body kit. BMW Concept 4 is a clear path of the next-generation BMW M3 and M4

A rendering image of this car first appeared in July this year. From the picture it is clear the direction of the next generation of the BMW M3 and M4. At first we expected the giant radiator grille seen in the virtual drawings will remain just fiction, but it turned out that the company is indeed playing with the idea of delivering its new performance vehicles a double kidney grille.

And now one of the German giant auto manufacturers, BMW presented its new BMW Concept 4 making its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. This car previews the next-generation 4 Series, M3 and M4.

As quoted from Motor1, overall the look of this car is nice and classy, but it can't be help with the double kidneys shaped grille that looks less proportionate to its front fascia. And furthermore they wrote that it's oversized and does not fit into the overall car design language.

However, the company said that those shape was inspired by its iconic models such as the BMW 328 and 3.0 CSi. The only good news is that this is still a concept and the automaker is probably still testing the waters with this design solution. Who knows, hopefully, the production M3 and M4 would not be getting a similar layout.

"The kidney has always stood for BMW,” Domagoj Dukec, head of design at BMW, says. “The BMW Concept 4 sets them confidently and with high quality like no other vehicle so far. The BMW Concept 4 provides a look at the expressive face of the new 4 Series."

On the other hand, the laser headlights applied are a work of art. The sleek clusters doesn't have a glass that covers them but instead relies on a three-dimensional structure with expossed inner elements.
