Here's the first McLaren road-legal sportscar

THe FIRST If you are a true automotive enthusiast, surely know the following premium car brand, McLaren. Well, the Woking-based company continues to produce exotic super cars until now. And on this occasion will be discussed the first car made by this manufacturer, the McLaren M6GT.
The McLaren M6GT is the first McLaren road-legal car built on the chassis of M6B racing car. (Picture from: RoadAndTrack)
And of course you also know the person whose name is pinned on that marque. He is Bruce McLaren, a very special man in the modern automotive world, who was originally known as a reliable racer, he is also a brilliant designer and has many talented engineers around him, so that makes him always ready for any career challenges in his life.
The McLaren M6GT has some quirky features, like manually operated lights that were raised and lowered using finger holes in the leading edge of the pods. (Picture from: RoadAndTrack)
So it is not surprising that in 1964 he began designing, building and selling the McLaren racing cars, both the Formula Grand Prix and other sports racing cars ranging from various Can-Am under his own name. In 1967 the McLaren M6 Can-Am model was almost invincible, as the "Bruce & Denny [Hulme]" show dominated this lucrative North American series through 1971. Then he began to draft his main project concept to build an iconic road machine based on his racing cars.
In early 1970, he prepared a prototype merging one of the empty M6GT bodies with a stock M6B chassis and a Bartz-tuned Chevrolet engine. Registered OBH 500H, Bruce's personal ride had an estimated top speed of 165 mph, and some quirky features, like manually operated lights that were raised and lowered using finger holes in the leading edge of the pods. It was also rather loud, based on this footage shot in Canada in 1971 of another M6GT.
The McLaren M6GT used a rear-mounted standard Chevrolet V8 five-liter engine. (Picture from: RoadAndTrack)
For the car's building process, he got an assistance from one of the most reliable chassis builders, John Collins (known for his work with John Wyer and the Ford GT40 project). Literally, the McLaren M6BGT is a semi-civilized Can-Am car that is not at all easy to drive but it was fun to make speed once you are behind the wheel.
The McLaren M6GT able to accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in about eight seconds, and of course with fantastic handling. (Picture from: RoadAndTrack)
This car has a wheelbase of 93.5" and uses a rear-mounted standard Chevrolet V8 five-liter engine, that will accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in about eight seconds, and of course with fantastic handling. Besides that the car also featured with four Weber carburetors, forged crankshafts, roller bearing camshafts, Carello rods, aluminum pistons, five-speed Hewland DG 300 transaxle, independent front and rear suspension with fabricated A-arms and coil-over shocks, front and rear anti-sway bars, monocoque chassis with fiberglass panels attached to aluminum bulkheads, Girling ventilated four wheels disc brakes.

After that two further GTS were built by Trojan Cars, which has been franchised by McLaren to build their custom racing cars. While Trojan released a statement that they might market a road-going version of the M6GT
Bruce McLaren passed away after hitting a bunker that was used as a flag station at the Goodwood Circuit while testing one of these McLaren M8D Can Am. (Picture from: Pinterest)
Unfortunately the project got shelved forever on June 2, 1970, when Bruce McLaren passed away after hitting a bunker that was used as a flag station at the Goodwood Circuit while testing his M8D Can Am prototype.😢 As we all know, the late Bruce McLaren only managed to drive as far as 1,900 miles of his personal M6GT, and Trojan Cars never got to build the remaining 249 units.
Today, there's came another bad news from the Woking-based manufacturer are experiencing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so it had to mortgage offices, factories and historic car collections. But despite all of that, the world's automotive enthusiasts only able to hope that the company able to keep run well and continues to make happened the Bruce McLaren's vision and ideas. *** [EKA [31052020] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ROAD AND TRACK] | THIS IS MONEY ]

Fierce ONES Recently, Ferrari had revealed the figure of its newest super racing car called the Ferrari 499P which is specially prepared to take part in the most prestigious endurance race in the world, the 24-Hours of Le Mans. The emergence of this prancing horse super car is a turning point for the Italian company on the 24-Hours of Le Mans vicious racing tracks. Reportedly, before heading there the Ferrari 499P will be fielded first to race at the 1000 Miles of Sebring in Florida, the United States in mid-March 2023.

As quoted of Car and Drive, the appearance of this super racing car is different compared with another Le Mans racing cars of Ferrari, because the Ferrari 499P is very specifally designed, and the 499P code is also pointed to different chassis name from previous types such the LMDh. Furthermore, this hypercar itself is classified as an LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) is powered by a 2,992 cc twin-turbo V6 engine capable of spitting out power of up to 670 hp coupled with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system, unlike the LMDh class which only drives its two rear wheels (RWD).
The Ferrari 499P is powered by hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2,992 cc twin-turbo V6 engine mated with 2 electric motors. (Picture from: Carvaganza)
Furthermore, the Prancing Horse logoed manufacturer claims that those new engine has the same architecture as that used in the Ferrari 296GT3, but there are new touches to make it "light" when devouring the racing track for hours. Meanwhile, the Ferrari's differential technology divides the torque from the electric motor to the two front wheels. The hybrid technology still relies on the Energy Recovery System (ERS) which is able to recharge the battery during acceleration and deceleration.

For the car's agility as well as to testing the car's toughness on a fairly monotonous racing track, the company simply trusts the X-trac seven-speed sequential transmission system which is expected to quickly send power to the two rear wheels, as its engine and electric motor would be worked simultaneously to produce a good driving style and maximum traction in car's maneuvering.
Currently, the 24-Hours of Le Mans, world's endurance competition is still the main focus of the Italian automotive company. The prancing horse logoed manufacturer also believes it can make its racing debut because the car has passed trials in recent months at the Imola Circuit, Italy. This seems to make the Italian manufacturer more confident that it will return to the top of sports car racing in the endurance racing championship next year. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FERRARI | ]

Pagani Utopia's new car launches as the successor to the Huayra

New SUPERCAR Some time ago the Italian supercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili officially launched their new supercar named Pagani Utopia at the Teatro Lirico, Milan, Italy on September 12, 2022.
CEO of Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani has introduced his company's new supercar called the Pagani Utopia. (Picture from: GridOto)
This supercar was introduced as the third products came out of the Horacio Pagani founded supercar manufacturer, almost three decades ago. As a new car, the Pagani Utopia continues Pagani's signature design and technology heritage from its predecessors such the Pagani Zonda and Huayra
The Pagani Utopia is production version of the C10 codenamed supercar which had been announced by the company some time ago. (Picture from: Tempo)
This is the production version of the C10 codenamed supercar which had been announced by the company in the early of this year. Interestingly, compared to other supercars that the Utopia now carry the newest electrification technology, but still the supercar was developed with a simpler principle. Starting from the engine, the Pagani Utopia is powered by a 5,980 cc twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG
The Pagani Utopia is powered by a 5,980 cc V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG. (Picture from: GridOto)
The mentioned above engine is similar to the Huayra engine, has been upgraded so that it can churn out 852 hp @ 6,000 rpm and torque of 1,100 Nm @ 2,800 rpm to 5,900 rpm. While to deliver such savage power and torque to its rear wheels, relies either a seven-speed manual transmission or an automated, single-clutch gearbox. Pagani said this transmission option was provided to maximize Utopia's performance without sacrificing driving sensation.
Even though it looks simple and pure, the Pagani Utopia built based on the Carbo-Titanium chassis that has been used on Huayra as well. (Picture from: GridOto)
Furthermore, to support the Utopia's ruthless performance, Pagani did not forget to embed the front and rear double wishbone suspensions with electrically controlled shock absorbers. It also gets Brembo carbon ceramic disc brakes measuring 410 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear.
Well, even though it looks pure and simple, the Pagani Utopia built based on the carbo-titanium chassis that has been used before on the Huayra. Unfortunately, Pagani has not stated the exact price of the Pagani Utopia or when it will start shipping to owners. But Pagani leaked that the first series of Pagani Utopia will be produced in limited number of 99 units only. Regarding to the price, rumoured this supercar will be sold starting at $2.19 million. All-new Austrian electric-powered hypercar named Deus Vayanne

Electric BEAST The trend of electric-powered vehicles that is currently engulfing the world of the automotive industry is apparently considered as one of the promising business magnets that has resulted in the emergence of so many new automotive companies that are also developing vehicles that are claimed to be environmentally friendly.
The latest electric startup, Deus Automobiles, has revealed a hypercar with ridiculous horsepower and torque figures and a 99-unit production run planned in 2025. (Picture from Deus Automobiles)
And one of the electric-powered hypercars is being developed by an Austrian startup named Deus Automobiles with extreme horsepower aspirations. Moreover, these new ones have the backing of several well-known brands, so just maybe, it will turn market minds regarding the resulting hypercars to be one good succesfull opportunities where so many other manufacturers have failed.
In the development of this Vayanne electric hypercar, it turns out that Deus is not working alone. The Austrian company is collaborating with Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering. (Picture from: BlackXperience)
Well, the mentioned Austrian company was founded in 2020 with the aim of building electric hypercars, regarding this the Austrian automaker said that its new hypercar is called the Deus Vayanne is planned to be produced in a limited number of only 99 units.
The Deus Vayanne is a new electric hypercar promising 2200 horsepower and 1475 pound-feet of torque. (Picture from: BlackXperience)
Unmitigated with more than 2,200 horsepower (1,641 kilowatts) that can be produced by its drivetrain, this electric-powered car really qualifies to enter the hypercar category. Plus, the overall shape of what the automaker describes as "a design language of infinity and symmetry" is certainly exotic.
The entire cabin of the Deus Vayanne electric hypercar is made out of sustainable materials. (Picture from: BlackXperience)
Furthermore, this Deus EV is also equipped with a sweet interior that adopts an organic taste similar to its exterior. The infinity symbol is a design theme throughout the Vayanne, evident in the form of the front air intake and taillight designs, but also somewhat hidden in the form of the dashboard inside its cabin. This Austrian-made two seater electric-powered hypercar has a digital instrument cluster, a simple center touch screen, coupled with several unknown functioned buttons yet.
Like its sleek exterior, the car’s cabin sports a futuristic design language with LED accent lighting, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and carbon race seats. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
Being an electric hypercar with abundant bursts of power like that, of course, makes you want to know more about the powertrain of this Austrian-made car. Unfortunately, Deus Automobiles has not divulged the details. This Austrian company only provides an estimation numbers of the power output that it produces, which is more than 2,200 hp, the acceleration capability from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in 1.99 seconds, and claims a top speed of 400 kph (248 mph).
The Deus Vayanne electric hypercar is claimed capable to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in 1.99 seconds, and claims a top speed of 400 kph (248 mph). (Picture from: BlackXperience)
In the development of this Vayanne electric hypercar, it turns out that Deus is not working alone. The Austrian company is collaborating with Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering. It is clear that the two companies involved as partners are not start-ups. For those wondering, Williams Advanced Engineering is linked to Williams F1 Team and the company has little experience in the world of motorsport including electric performance.
Williams Advanced Engineering has responsibility for battery and electronic devices of Deus Vayanne. Meanwhile, Italdesign itself was responsible for prototype development and some planning of final production. As Italdesign was later found to be working with Nissan on the 50th anniversary project of the GT-R and the modern DeLorean on the new electric version of Alpha5.

So there is real hope that a 2,200 hp car will be coming soon. If all goes according to plan, Deus Automobiles will begin deliveries of 99 Vayanne models by 2025. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DEUS AUTOMOBILES | AUTOEVOLUTION ]

Who's made this monstrous 5,000 horses powered car?

Fiercest ONES Middle East became the region is increasingly attracting attention with their supercar. Not just be a perfect place for the sale, also became a place where many emerging the new brands which are able to make an increadible supercar such this Devel Sixteen.
A Dubai-based startup named Devel Motors has started testing what it claims is the most powerful petrol-burning engine ever designed for a street-legal production car named Devel Sixteen. (Picture from: OtomotifOkeZone)
One is Devel Motors, an automotive startup based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As reported by Leftlanenews, the manufacturer is developing a supercar engine. No kidding, this machine claimed able to produce the power nearly 5,000 hp.
The Devel Sixteen is powered with a colossal 12.3-liter quad-turbocharged V16 engine making a whopping 5,007 hp. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
The car developed by the Rashid Al-Attari-owned company in collaboration with Michigan-based tuner named Steve Morris Engines, this project has successfully tested a 12.3 liters V16 engine with a block and cylinder heads made of aluminum. In those trials known, that the engine with four turbochargers is able to generate the power up to 4,515 hp and 4,771 Nm of torque.
The Devel Sixteen is priced at over $2.2 million, but that's not enough because you also have to be willing to wait for it to be made for about 2 years. (Picture from: LeftLaneNews)
According to Devel Motors, actually this machine is able to produce power up to 5,000 hp, with the right amount of boost. But this power has not been successful achieved. In addition, they claimed that the car has the ability to accelerate from 0-100 kph in 1.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 563 kph.
In addition to being made in a V16 engine version, Devel Motors is also preparing a version of the car powered by a V8 engine. (Picture from: Autos.id)
By the performance like that, the unique-shaped car with this engine can be classified as hypercar, a higher version of the supercar. If entered production, it can be ascertained only be produced is limited. I feel pessimistic when it can be drive with full speed on the highway. And then, who's driving it..? Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel or ...?

Previously another Dubai automaker, W Motors also had launched its brand-new hypercar named Fenyr Supersport after the first one Lykan  Hypersport taking roled in the famous movie titled Fast and Furious 7 back in the 2015, by jumping from one of Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Towers skyscrapers to another. *** [EKA [19122015] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DEVEL SIXTEEN | LEFTLANENEWS | AUTPEVOLUTION ]

Super rare American classic Pontiac Tojan might You've never heard before

Rare ONES Seeing the title of the article you might immediately ask; Has there ever been such the Pontiac Tojan model? Or had You ever seen this kind of car? As quoted of Wikipedia, this car once existed and was a production sports car that is built based on the F-Body Platform (was General Motors' rear-wheel drive pony car automobile platform built during production periods of 1967 to 2002). Indeed, only a few people have ever heard of it, let alone seen it. We're bet you've never known before.
The Pontiac Tojan is built by Knudsen Automotive Inc. for General Motors during 1985 to 1991. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
As we could be seen, it may look like a kit car or a body kit for a third gen Trans Am. No, they are not like what those kind of cars as you think above just now. Then what are they? According to Ken Lingenfelter these cars were commissioned by GM to be built by Knudsen Automotive Inc. They were built so Pontiac would have a car that was be capable of competing with Ferrari, as quoted of  StreetMuscleMag.
While inside of the Pontiac Tojan's cabin is featured with a wooden dash which equipped with 'Back to the Future' style digital gauges. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
In other words, they wanted a sports car that could go toe to toe with those world's famous Italian cars on a road course yet was still affordable to the average American. Might be that's the point. Besides being designed to compete with Ferrari, turn outly the Tojan could also be considered GM’s answer to the Ford Saleen Mustangs. So the idea behind the Pontiac Tojan was that a drive could build its own super car for a fraction of the price.
The Pontiac Tojan's cabin also has a Recaro leather seats, also many other advanced features a cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, power windows, power mirrors, and the power hatch release from the F-Bodies. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
Uniquely, because of the high desire to be able to look as a decent rival of Ferrari (even Mustang), unmitigated to the extent that the car emblem also displays the figure of a horse. Only slightly different in appearance, if the Ferrari's emblem is a prancing horse, while the Ford Mustang with its wild horse running emblem, then the Tojan's displays the figure of a winged demonic horse. Creepy enough huh?
The Pontiac Tojan could be pinned Lamborghini Countach styled rear-wing as an option. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
The Pontiac Tojan produced as limited numbers of car, only an estimated 150 to 300 units were produced during 1985 to 1991. These cars were assembled in Omaha, Nebraska at the Knudsen's plant. GM provided Knudsen with GTA frames, Tuned Port Injection 305 engines (LB9’s) and 700R4 Transmissions. Knudsen then beefed up the stock suspension so the Tojan could corner like it was on rails. The car also equipped with power disc brakes on all four wheels and power steering to make handling easier. These mods would allow it to run with the best Ferrari model had to offer.
The Pontiac Tojan appeared with the 1980’s body styling and looks like the radical cross-breeding between the Trans Am and the Fiero. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
As quoted of StreetMuscleMag, all the car's cosmetics are 100% original designed by Knudsen. As you can see, this rare American sports car appeared with the 1980’s body styling and looks like the radical cross-breeding between the Trans Am and the Fiero. Actually, the Tojan’s styling was heavily influenced by the Ferrari 305, as can been seen on it’s rear trunk lid and rear tail lights. Further adding to the Italian supercar influence, Knudsen also provided Lamborghini Countach styled rear-wing as an option.
The Pontiac Tojan (in pictured is GT model) is powered by Tuned Port Injection 305 (LB9’s) engines coupled with the 700R4 Transmissions. (Picture from: StreetMuscleMag)
For the legs, the Tojan supported by five-spokes rims of Gotti Wheels (GBS) which were wrapped in 345/50 R15 tires for added grip. Meanwhile the car's interior given a touch of style inspired of the 1980s top movies and TV-series such 'Back to the Future' and 'Knight Rider.' Besides that the car got a Recaro leather seats, a wooden dash which equipped with 'Back to the Future' style digital gauges. Furthermore this rare American sports car got another advanced features, such cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, power windows, power mirrors, and the power hatch release from the F-Bodies.
During its production periods, the Tojan was a built to order car, to purchase one you simply went to your local Pontiac dealership and they called up Knusden who then shipped it to the dealership. At the time it's sold at a starting price of $21,995 and the price could climb as high as $55,000 depending on the bells and whistles. These bells included a B&M Supercharger and B&M Superjection as well as a 3.73 Posi. Other options included aforementioned Lamborghini wing and AM/FM Cassette with Equalizer (that was a big deal in the 80’s).
While it may not have been a big seller, at least Russ Knusden owned auto company managed to put the hands of middle class Americans behind the wheel of a such this good supercar. Due to their limited production, perhaps one day the Tojan will become a renowned collector’s item similar to the Cord 812 or the Phantom Corsair. Some might love these cars others see it as one of those odd cars came from the 1980’s. Love it or hate it you gotta admit the Pontiac Tojan is such a pretty good one wild car ever made. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | STREETMUSCLEMAG | WIKIPEDIA ]
