Here's she is one of the craziest V12-engined cars ever

Mercedes-Benz is a well-known German automotive manufacturer that has been widely known by the public with its elegant and agile car designs on the streets, especially high-end variants such as Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren up to AMG GT, which always amazes its users.

There are many models that have been produced, one of which can be categorized in the legendary car, called Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR. As quoted from Carscoops, at first this car was specifically designed to take part in the Le Mans endurance championship in the late 1990s so that it was equipped with the high durability technical specifications to conquer the racing event that had a long duration.

The racing version of the CLK GTR took both the drivers' and teams' championships in '97 and '98, winning 17 of the 22 races it entered. After that, those German automotive giants produced the road-legal versions and able to use it on the streets for daily activities. Both the racing and road-legal version supercars powered by a V12 naturally-aspirated engine with a capacity of 6.9 liters that is placed in the middle and is believed to be able to send the power of 604 hp and torque of 572 lb-ft.

Mercedes-Benz produces this mid-engined car in a limited number of 25 units. Of the 25 CLK GTRs built, 20 were coupes and five were roadsters. The car was sold at the price of $1.5 million or around Rp.19 billion at the time.

Even so, there are no negative complaints from customers and some have bought them at this price. Reportedly the Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR will be priced at the doubled price today and can last for next few years. As quoted of Autoblog in July 2018, there's a 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR with chassis No. 9 going up for auction on August at the RM Sotheby's auction in Monterey.
The car could sell with an estimated sale price between $4.25 million and $5.25 million. If this car able to sell well at the auction, then those price numbers will put these car into one of the most expensive classic cars in the world.

Wow, of course, I couldn't afford to buy it, because it was too expensive. But it didn't dampen me from owning this car. Then, I go to the supermarket near ma home and bought the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR in there. Although only in a scale of 1:64 but at least I had one. A stunning-look Ukraine supercar named Chimera

While surfing the Internet some time ago, we were stunned for a moment and amazed when saw the shape of a supercar that could be said to be unique and interesting. This is not McLaren, Ferrari, or Lamborghini. As quoted from 24TV.UA, this is truly an authentic Ukrainian sports car called Chimera. And while quoted from DriveTribe this car is also called the Himera-Q.

This supercar was developed by a Ukrainian businessman, as well as a car collector named Andriy Dzhazovsky. The unique name of the Chimera used for this car is taken from Greek mythological creatures which are a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature of Lycia in Asia Minor, composed of the parts of more than one animal. It is usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat protruding from its back, and a tail that might end with a snake's head.

And according to the developers, the name is in accordance with the car appearance that has beautifully detailed strong and aggressive curves. The sports car developer further said that the Chimera was built in 2 models, where the first model was a car with a conventional engine taken from an Audi R8 car capable of producing power up to 1,200 horsepower.

While the next Chimera model is a sports car that uses electricity. This car is said to use a 1,000 hp electric motor and an energy storage system that was developed specifically with a battery that can last up to a thousand kilometers and its charge is returned in just half an hour. (Wow!) 😐 Besides that, the Chimera developer claims that a single battery charged can make this sports car travel thousands of kilometers. (Is it true?) 😉

And reportedly, when the prototype car conducted the tests on closed tracks in Spain managed to show a quite impressive performance, where the car is able to accelerate from rest to 100 kph in less than 3 seconds and a top speed limited to 350 kph. Unfortunately, there are no other detailed technical and performance data from this car.

Initial estimates, the cost for such a car will start from ‎€700 thousand. And reportedly, the developers have received 10 orders in advance from the United Arab Emirates and the European Union. Andriy Dzhazovsky further said that Chimera had passed European certification. But it still has to pass the crashed and homologation test to start full-scale production of this car.

Shortly after the first photo of Chimera appeared on the Internet, allegations of plagiarism came from Russia. With a reason, the car has a similar design with one called Lada Raven developed by AVTOvaz. But the Ukrainian sports car developer has denied all the allegations and claimed that he has a patent for the car designs.
Initially, the Chimera will be assembled entirely in Ukraine but is hindered by high taxes and a lack of infrastructure in the country. So then the production process carried out in Barcelona, Spain. Amazing Pandion Concept

Not only the personal photo of a celebrity who became the talk when dispersed in the virtual world turns the photos of the concept cars also experienced the same thing even became warm conversation among automotive enthusiasts. The Pandion’s design is based on the "Skin & Frame" design language: "Skin" refers to the snake in the logo, representing the world-renowned Italian excellence in beautiful, seductive forms; and "Frame" refers to the cross in the logo, representing the mechanical excellence in high-performance Italian race cars.

The concept’s front is defined by a sculpted sloping bonnet with typical Alfa quad headlights, a typical five horizontal bars radiator grille and doors that open by rotating backward, ending up a perfect 90 degrees above the center of the rear wheel, lifting up the entire body side of the vehicle, from the front fender to the rear fender.
A glimpse or perhaps only in our view, this concept car is almost similar to the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics, but the Pandion designers claimed there is no similarity between these two cars. Although the designers do not agree with the 'similar' statement above. The most ferocious Lambo roadster is launched and already sold out

Lamborghini, one of Italy's premium sports car manufacturers, is launching a new variant in the super-electrification range. Yes, on Thursday, July 8, 2020, the raging bull logoed car manufacturer officially launched the Lamborghini Sián Roadster.😎

Like the previous Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 Coupe variant, which was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 and which was produced by the Italian manufacturer in limited numbers, only 63 units. Is this Yamaha dream supercar?

Beginning in 1992, Yamaha sparked the idea of ​​making a ferocious supercar with an abundance of technology owned by Formula 1 cars by launching the Yamaha OX99-11 V12 concept. What's interesting is the sleek cockpit that seems to have the same two-seat arrangement as the OX99-11 V12, while the similarity between the two continues at the rear, with thin cooling vents on the engine cover and quad taillight.

The Ultima RS is ready to hit the road soon

As we all knew, that in July last year, one of the British (road-legal version) racing car makers, Ultima Sports launched its latest 'mechanical beast' named Ultima RS. Peek two Vauxhall's rare classic supercars

You certainly remember to the British automotive manufacturer named Vauxhall Motors. Historically, the company is debuted as a maritime equipment manufacturer founded in 1857 by Alexander Wilson. The Luton-based manufacturer began manufacturing cars in 1903. As quoted by Wikipedia, now the company is registered as General Motors UK Limited and is an affiliate of Adam Opel AG, which is equally owned by General Motors (GM).

Of the many cars that have been made by this manufacturer, there are several concept cars that can be said to be very interesting and unique. On this occasion, we will discuss 2 unique concept cars from Vauxhall that were made in the 1960s and 1970s. And, these two historic Vauxhall concepts that have not been seen outside its Luton-based Heritage Centre for nearly two decades.

1. 1966 Vauxhall XVR Concept
The XVR concept shown for the first time at the 1966 Geneva Salon, and the name stands for the eXperimental Vauxhall Research prototype. When it was exhibited, the Vauxhall XVR which had a front fascia resembling a shark's snout inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car, so many consumers were amazed.

The XVR was largely the work of David Jones, Vauxhall's charismatic head of design in the 1960s, and included Wayne Cherry, John Taylor, Leo Pruneau, and Judd Holcombe. Besides that the car also featuring gullwing doors, pop-up headlights, and all-independent suspension, and the XVR's unique dash treatment was used to test reaction to ideas they had for the later Firenza model.

There were 3 XVR prototypes were built in total. Where 2 units were glass fiber rolling mockups with no engine, while the rest was a fully functional example with a metal body built by Motor Panels of Coventry.

The single fully functional XVR is powered by a front-mid mounted 2.0 L Slant-4 engine producing around 100 bhp (75 kW; 101 PS) and the car was able to reach a top speed of over 100 mph (160 km/h). But unfortunately, this car was never meant to be marketed and its fate stopped as the concept car. 

2. 1970 Vauxhall SRV Concept
This concept was joining the XVR will be another wholly in-house Vauxhall concept. And the radical SRV (Styling Research Vehicle) first shown at the 1970 Earls Court Motor Show. The car has the sleek, imposing shape belies its four-door practicality. This concept was the work of Wayne Cherry, the Vauxhall Chief Designer in the 1970s.

Although the car appeared to have 2 doors, in fact, it had 4 doors and 4 seats. The car's controls were mounted in the driver’s door. The car concept also featured a transversely mid-mounted engine and the car was constructed in GRP (glass reinforced plastic).

Here's the first McLaren road car

If you are a true automotive enthusiast, surely know the following premium car brand, McLaren.  Well, the Woking-based company continues to produce exotic super cars until now. And on this occasion will be discussed the first car made by this manufacturer, the McLaren M6GT.

He is Bruce McLaren, a very special man in the modern automotive world, who was originally known as a reliable racer, he is also a brilliant designer and has many talented engineers around him, so that makes him always ready for any career challenges in his life.

So it is not surprising that in 1964 he began designing, building and selling the McLaren racing cars, both the Formula Grand Prix and other sports racing cars ranging from various Can-Am under his own name.

In 1967 the McLaren M6 Can-Am model was almost invincible, as the "Bruce & Denny [Hulme]" show dominated this lucrative North American series through 1971. Then he began to draft his main project concept to build an iconic road machine based on his racing cars.

In early 1970, he prepared a prototype merging one of the empty M6GT bodies with a stock M6B chassis and a Bartz-tuned Chevrolet engine. Registered OBH 500H, Bruce's personal ride had an estimated top speed of 165mph, and some quirky features, like manually operated lights that were raised and lowered using finger holes in the leading edge of the pods. It was also rather loud, based on this footage shot in Canada in 1971 of another M6GT.

For the car's building process, he got an assistance from one of the most reliable chassis builders, John Collins (known for his work with John Wyer and the Ford GT40 project). Literally, the McLaren M6BGT is a semi-civilized Can-Am car that is not at all easy to drive but it was fun to make speed once you are behind the wheel.

This car has a wheelbase of 93.5" and uses a rear-mounted standard Chevrolet V8 five-liter engine, that will accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in about eight seconds, and of course with fantastic handling. Besides that the car also featured with four Weber carburetors, forged crankshafts, roller bearing camshafts, Carello rods, aluminum pistons, five-speed Hewland DG 300 transaxle, independent front and rear suspension with fabricated A-arms and coil-over shocks, front and rear anti-sway bars, monocoque chassis with fiberglass panels attached to aluminum bulkheads, Girling ventilated four wheels disc brakes.
After that two further GTS were built by Trojan Cars, which has been franchised by McLaren to build their custom racing cars. While Trojan released a statement that they might market a road-going version of the M6GT, the project got shelved forever on June 2, 1970, when Bruce McLaren passed away after hitting a bunker that was used as a flag station at the Goodwood Circuit while testing his M8D Can Am prototype.😢 As we all know, the late Bruce McLaren only managed to drive as far as 1,900 miles of his personal M6GT, and Trojan Cars never got to build a further 249.

Some time ago word got out in cyberspace, that a British automotive company would launch a new supercar. As quoted from Business Live, that a Belmore Way-based automotive company and also known as the key supplier to Formula One named Mulholland Automotive will launch a supercar called Legend 480.

This supercar is reportedly powered by a V8 engine coupled with a six-speed manually gearbox, as it is well known that this two-seat supercar was designed based on the company's experience for twenty years while working in the world of Formula One racing. And the name of the '480' also refers to the amount of power that can be generated by its engine.

And the presence of Legend 480, however, allows it to showcase technology, expertise, and capabilities to a much larger global audience, plus it allows the company to celebrate the combustion engine before moving to emerge technology, which the company wants to help co-develop.

This supercar designed follows the blueprint of the classic British sportscar. Its engine is at the front, it has rear-wheel drive, a manual gearbox, and stylish, sculpted bodywork. This new supercar is intended as a successor to the TVR's big-name, a British sports car brand. And it is not surprising that Mulholland Automotive then used the services of the former head of TVR design, Damian McTagget to sketch and sculpture the Legend 480.

For this supercar carbon fiber chassis and bodywork will be developed by Mulholland Composites using the exact processes developed and used to produce F1 and GT racers alike. Then the car will be built at the Mulholland Group’s state-of-the-art Derby factory.

He further said that the Legend 480 is a truly focused machine with the great design underpinned by superior engineering produced by an incredibly experienced and well-established team. Then the company hopes it will prove popular, but prices are not available until now.

Lambo Bravo concept never ever been built

During the 1970s, the Lamborghini was looking for a car design that would replace its old-model, Lamborghini Urraco (which means 'little bull'). The aim is to produce cars that have competitive prices and can be produced in larger quantities.

One of the car designs made for this purpose is the Lamborghini Bravo. It was a concept car designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone for Lamborghini. It was presented for the first time at the 1974 Turin Motor Show, the Lamborghini Bravo was intended to be a two-seater V8 engined companion to the Urraco 2+2.

The car was never put into the Lambo's production lines because of the raging bull-logoed company's financial problems at that time. The car which was only made 2 units has many styling features inspired by the Countach model, including the angle and window arrangement features, but the interior is never more than what is hardly needed to operate a vehicle.

These prototypes were made fully functional like a car in general by sitting atop a shortened P300 Urraco chassis and carrying a mid-mounted 3.08-liter V8 DOHC engine that is capable of producing power of 300 hp (224 kW) mated with a 5-speed gearbox to drive the rear wheels. Noted, those cars have run nearly 168,000 miles (270,000 km) of various testings before being placed in the Bertone museum.

The Lamborghini Bravo with the chassis number of "#46.01" (originally painted in gold, then repainted in white) was sold at an auction at the Villa d'Este (Italy) on May 21, 2011, with the highest bid price of €588,000 (approx the US. $825,400) which was part of Bertone Museum asset liquidation ordered by Italian Bankruptcy court.

Before being offered and sold at the auction, the car was the only "fresh" Bravo of the Bertone Museum has, because another unit, the car with the chassis number "#46.02" (painted in green) was not intact due to been used for the crash test in 1976.

The refreshment of the Bravo with chassis no. "#46.01" consisted of new upholstery of the Alcantara interior and new paint of white pearl color with several coats of clear. While the original Stewart-Warner Gauges were also replaced with new units.

In December 1987 at the insistence of Miro Kefurt of M.I.K Automotive, Inc. of North Hollywood, California USA, who at that time was the Number One dealer for Bertone in the USA, the Bravo almost saw a production as a companion version to the Bertone X1/9, utilizing the same powertrain, but with mechanical supercharger.
But unfortunately "Project 1" had to stop when Fiat announced that the power unit (engine and transmission system) which was planned to be installed in the US version of Bertone X1/9 will be discontinued in 1988.
