Here's the Glickenhaus supercar for the next Le Mans racing season

Scuderia Glickenhaus, an American supercar manufacturer in September 2019 had shown a rendered images of its supercar figure which mentioned will compete for the 2020-2021 season in the WEP Hypercar class at the Le Mans circuit, France.

The company is known for commissioning the one-off Ferrari P4/5 supercar which was designed by Pininfarina. Then in the racing world, the American company has also well-known as a participant in various endurance racing events such as 24-Hours of Nurburgring between 2015 to 2017  with the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003 (named after the company’s founder) cars.

The supercar mentioned above will be named SCG 007 and as quoted by Autoexpress, that the American manufacturer has confirmed that the car will use a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. It seems, the car's engine is relatively small, but it has in accordance with the regulation of the WEC Hypercar class which limits engine power to only 750 horsepower. We thought that the number can be achieved with certain modifications.

From the rendering images, it's seen that the car appears with a new look aimed specifically at the WEP Hypercar class which will replace the current LMP1 class starting in 2020 as an effort to attract more manufacturers to take part in this race. In the current LMP1 class, only Toyota competes with various 'privateer' teams.

Along with Glickenhaus, the British supercar manufacturer, Aston Martin has also confirmed its participation in the Le Mans race in the WEP Hypercar class by using a car based on Valkyrie. Aside from Toyota, Glickenhaus and Aston Martin, it is also known that Brabham and ByKolles are also interested in joining the inaugural WEC Hypercar class of the 2020-2021 Le Mans racing season.

Furthermore, not only using it as a racing car of the upcoming WEC Hypercar class at Le Mans, but the Scuderia Glickenhaus will also sell those SCG 007 supercars in limited numbers.

"We used everything we learned from SCG 003 (a racing car which competed at the Nurburgring 24 hours), which is now SCG 004 (GT3/GT2 racing car) and will be part of SCG 007," said Jim Glickenhaus, CEO of Scuderia Gluckenhaus some time ago.

"We will build the racing version of SCG 007 as a prototype, with a design that is quite similar to the street version of the car, and we will make it more than 20 units. "It's not a problem, but we will make it more practical for ordinary roads," he said further. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GLICKENHAUS RACING | AUTOEXPRESS]

Dubai's dragon finally revealed

Finally, the United Arab Emirates' hypercar that we have first saw in the teaser image some time ago revealed. As promised, the hypercar has debuted at the 2019 Dubai Motor Show. And no doubt, the hypercar comes in a style that can be said to be inspired by a Lamborghini as said by the company founder Bashar Ajlani in an interview with Top Gear.

The Ajlani's hypercar was named Ajlani Drakuma to have "a production inspired by Pagani." We are not sure what it really means, but we know the intention is to make 99 cars, with each of them fully customizable to suit customer preferences.

The Ajlani's hypercar carries a V8 turbocharged engine mounted in the middle and is claimed to be able to spew 1,200 bhp of power equivalent to the power produced by the engine of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

As quoted from Top Gear, Ajlani said that while the chassis has not been finalized. The company has "few options" that are being considered. Regardless of the solution, Drakuma will boast a carbon fiber body for maintaining low body weight. Speaking of the body, the doors seem to open like "dragon wings," but all the pictures we have so far are showing the car with the doors closed.

But unfortunately, there is not a single picture that shows the hypercar's interior and from the showcar in Dubai had all the windows blacked out. The possibility is predicted by many who say that the Dubai-based company isn’t ready to reveal what’s inside. This car is actually a design prototype that was built for five years and represents Bashar Ajlani's dream of creating the next Pagani. In fact, he explicitly admitted that Horacio was one of his idols "because he did not compromise on quality."
So it is perfectly understandable why some parties became skeptical about Drakuma's opportunity to actually achieve production, but for what value, at least the car appeared in Dubai as had promised before. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AJLANI MOTORS | TOP GEAR | MOTOR1 | YAHOO NEWS | WHEELS]

Black on black 'Countach Periscopio'

According to Lamborghini's records, 1120182 as recorded initially was destined for Toumblast in Lebanon. The order requires the vehicle to be filled in black with a black interior. This is the only complete example of 150 built. Because of the civil war in Lebanon, orders were changed and vehicles were not completed until May 14, 1976. Shortly after completion, the LP400 was photographed during a driving test and photos used by Lamborghini for promotional purposes.

In the autumn of 1976, the LP400 was sold and shipped to a Lamborghini Distributor in Japan where it was photographed again shortly after arriving which now shows equipped with the required side, rear view mirror, and a larger front turn signal light. It remained with the Lamborghini Agent in Nagoya, Japan until it was finally sold to the first owner on December 12, 1977.

The original owner was Mitsuo Sanami from Tokyo, Japan. Sanami is a famous Japanese celebrity and leading car collector. He was the champion trapper who represented Japan at the 1964 Olympics. The car was sent to him but was not registered on the road and remained undriven for five years of ownership.

In 1982, Sanami sold this vehicle to Isao Noritake, the most famous Lamborghini collector in Japan and also the chairman and founder of the Japan Lamborghini Owner's Club. Like the previous owner, Noritake did not register the LP400 and remained unmanageable in his private museum until it was sold to his friend Yoshiaki Okada who also had never driven on the street or registered this Lamborghini.

In 1990, Noritake bought back the LP400 and, due to lack of use and service, he sent it back to the Lamborghini Plant where it was given full service, and the interior was completely repainted and refurbished. The work took two years at a cost of $ 160,000. The car was then returned to Noritake where it remained not use and not serviced. Odometer currently only shows the original 540 kilometers, all of which are believed to have been added only by Lamborghini during testing after completion refurbishing in 1990-1992 before Lamborghini returned it to Noritake.

In 2015, the car's ownership moved from Noritake to Symbolic International San Diego, California, and then moved back to Peter Dyson in the same year. Now, the elegant black-colored Countach has returned to belong to Symbolic International San Diego, California after buying it back from Peter Dyson in 2018.
And in October 2019, once again this beautiful car will be sold by Symbolic International. But there was no mention of the selling price. Are you interested to have it? Please contact the seller to find out how much the price of this beautiful car. Of course, the price isn't cheap, the estimated price can reach five to six digits. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTORIOUS | JUST CAR GUY]

After burnt, this Huracán appeared wilder

An automotive modifier named Chris Steinbacher who also known as a man behind the Youtube channel called 'B is For Build' had been successfully completed his large project ahead of the 2019 SEMA in Las Vegas.

His special car was built from a Lamborghini Huracán which was previously bought by him in severe burnt damaged condition, and those modification results will be displayed exclusively in one of the largest automotive events in the United States.

Due to initially car conditions, so the modification team formed by Chris Steinbacher decided to rebuild this Lamborghini supercar in custom. And after seeing the engine condition also that has been destroyed and could not be used anymore, which then pushed Chris to give it a new machine, but with a different touch.

Yes, as we all knew that the Huracán originally used a V10 engine, due to it on severe damage condition then replaced with an upgraded V8 7,000cc twin-turbo LS engine to be able to produce power up to 1,500 horsepower from what was originally only 602 horsepower.

The increasing of the engine power is due to changes in components of the engine block including cylinder sleeve replacement. Likewise, with the support of the use of Garrett Performance's twin turbocharger devices, as well as new fuel pump lines seem also to play a role in those engine's performance increasing.

Then the engine power is channeled to its all-wheels through an Audi R8 manual gearbox to handle more deftly the shifting gear process, so allowing this supercar running by smoothly and fastly on the streets.

The reason to choose Audi's manual transmission system is the ease of installation. Because the Audi R8 is in the same production platform as the Lamborghini Huracán itself. Besides that, the modifier also installed a special exhaust system to support the peak performance of the Lamborghini Huracán Custom.

Meanwhile, to rebuild the Huracán bodywork, Chris Steinbacher collaborates with Khyzyl Saleem's Litani Bodywork Custom. They made this Huracán appear in different suits due to it uses body panels taken from Huracán Super Trofeo.
Unfortunately, there is no information about the performance numbers and maximum speed of the Lamborghini Huracán Custom after going through the rebuilding process. Even in one show on Youtube channel made by Chris ahead of the SEMA event, it has seen his Lamborghini had a slight problem when it was brought to the exhibition location in Las Vegas. Sure, He can handle it. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GARRET MOTION | MOTOR1]

Is this the real form of the latest McLaren BC-03 hypercar?

For almost 1 year, we have known that McLaren is developing a street version of the Vision Gran Turismo Concept which was inaugurated in 2017. The possible hypercar has a codename BC-03 (Bespoke Commission 03) and reportedly will be made only 5 units worldwide.

These images are shared online on many Instagram accounts, including Supercarpress. One of them shows a prototype that is being tested at night, while the rest is considered an official rendering. Not yet determined whether the image is valid, but if so, it looks like McLaren is preparing to launch a hypercar that is even superior to Senna.

The following are rendering images of the latest McLaren BC-03 hypercar.

On the front, the BC-03 features a protruding and low nose with a small headlight inspired by the 720S, while on the side there is a large air intake. Everything gets very interesting in the rear, with the towering wings which also become the seat for the LED taillights and fins that stretch along the center of the decklid share clear similarities with the Vision Gran Turismo Concept.

The McLaren Vision Gran Turismo features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine combined with a pair of electric motors to drive the front wheels and total output reaches 1,150 horsepower and 1,275 Nm of torque. It remains to be seen whether the production car will later display the same or more similar powertrain to the hybrid unit used by McLaren Speedtail. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TOPSPEED | CARSCOOPS | THE DRIVE]

This is the Diablo You've never heard before

And if you are a supercar enthusiast who grew up in the 1990s, You probably know almost all of the Lamborghini Diablo variants. There are SV, VT, S30 Jota, even GTR. But have you ever heard of this kind of variant called the Lamborghini 132 GT1?
1998 Lamborghini 132 'Diablo' GT1. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WMv4Gn)
At the end of the 1990s, everybody was getting into high-end racing, partly because thought it was awesome, but partly because it was theoretically possible to go racing at the top level with a legally street-car-based racing car.

Few famous automotive brands tried it out, even Ferrari (usually mere focused on Formula One alone) attempted with their Ferrari F50 GT. Some of them even managed to have success, like McLaren with their F1 GTR, which claimed overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Seeing all this craziness going on, Lamborghini decided to get into it, too – which was unusual, when you consider that Lamborghini didn’t have a lot of racing pedigree at the time. Yes at that time, Lamborghini started an ambitious sports car racing program that would make it compete with the Porsche 911 GT1, McLaren F1 GTR, etc.

Then Lamborghini collaborated with a French company, Signes Advanced Technology (SAT), to design and build a racing car. In the beginning, everything went well, those two companies collaboration even succeeded in building a single road-going example to complement the racing car, and making it managed to get a homologation approval of the FIA to make it all legal.

Unfortunately, this project was suddenly canceled, but already there are 2 units of Diablo racing cars that have been built. It’s unclear as to why the program came to an end, though we can make a few reasonable guesses. The cars were built in early 1998, but by September of that year, Audi bought Lamborghini and the program was brought to a halt.

In the end, the race version of the Lamborghini 132 GT1 ended up competing a little bit in Japan. The road car, such as it is, actually still exists, but what is needed is one look to understand that it is a true classic Lamborghini beast.

Of its appearance, where the car's exterior appears were full of the strong lines typical design of the 1990s wrapped in a strong carbon fiber material as well, which dramatically changed the look of Lamborghini's flagship car in the time.

Then the interior is also very different from the standard version due to it has been equipped with a custom pedal box, open shifters and of course, all the buttons, compact switches, and bucket seats, even the roll cages are present in it. Just like what we can expect from the best race car ever.
The car's powertrain is a 6.0 liter V12 naturally aspirated engine capable of producing power of up to 655 horsepower. So that not only from the appearance and performance of this car will be recognized but also from the sound. How fierce this Yellow Devil roaring was, can You hear it! Are you wanna see the Strosek, another unique Diablo variant! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | UPOST | LOVE CARS | FIA HISTORIC DATABASE]
