Here's the Porsche 911 GT3 Targa gets the magical touch of Ares Design

Nice One Sometimes seeing the fastcar exotic figure does not necessarily make the owner satisfied. They want those cars of their owned look special and different from others. For this reason, they then look for a qualified automotive workshop to realize that desire, even at a large cost.

Among the world's automotive enthusiasts, certainly no stranger to a Modena-based coachbuilder company named ARES Design. From this company, it has been noted that so many exotic car models have been produced, and here are several exotic car models made by the Modenese coachbuilder (had ever discussed and published in Trussty) as follow; the Ares Rolls Royce Wraith in 2015 then the C2 Corvette StingRayWami Lalique Spyder in 2018, and the Panther ProgettoUno in 2019.

And it was recently reported that the Italian coachbuilder has completed to modify the Porsche 911 GT3 Targa to look more classy and exotic. The changes embedded by ARES Design have been carefully prepared, even covering all sectors of the Porsche 911 GT3 Targa. The thing that stands out the most on the exterior is of course the over fenders which are made more stretched by 8 cm at the front and 4 cm at the rear.

In addition to having a curvaceous appearance, the front and rear bumpers have also been redesigned with a more sporty and dynamic model. Well, all the wide body components on the Porsche 911 Targa were specially developed by Modenese Centro Stile.

Looking into the interior, this 911 GT3 Targa gets quite a lot which makes the feel even more classy and charming. Call it the use of brown-colored genuine leather material that covers the steering wheel, seats, dashboard, door trim, and center console coupled with exclusive details such as the ARES Design badge pinned on the headrest and steering wheel.

Meanwhile, to add to the elegance, ARES Design also installed matching silver alloy wheels, coupled with silver mirror caps and a silver Targa roof, as the result is subtle aggressiveness with a touch of opulent elegance. Besides that there's also a silver livery on the front bumper and side skirts, while silver trim on the front wheel arches also adds to the stylish look of the car.

Not only that, the ARES Design-made Porsche 911 GT3 Targa still keeps other changes under its hood by installing a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that has received system and sensor re-tuning, plus an upgraded exhaust system. Although relatively simple, the upgrade is able to increase the overall engine power output by 60 horsepower.

Even without the power boost, the Porsche 911 GT3 Targa is fast by sending power to all four wheels via an eight speeds dual-clutch PDK gearbox. The standard 911 GT3 Targa goes from zero to 60 mph in four seconds, while the ARES Design-made ones is even faster ie 3.4 seconds.
We know what it's like to push at a mind-boggling speed, but by owning this ARES Design' 911 GT3 Targa should be a completely different feeling. The provocations of Colani's biodynamic design over the Miura

UNiquE As previously discussed, related to automotive works from renowned designer Luigi 'Lutz' Colani, namely about the biodynamic design concept which is very thick spoke on the most results of his works and at the same time showing the figure of unique and unusual vehicles. And among the many works that have been produced by the maestro, perhaps this is the most radical and controversial design concept. If we look closely, such this vehicle design was also later applied by Colani to several of his works as follow: the Eifelland Type 21, a Formula-1 racing car of 1972 and the Innotruck, the futuristic biodynamic designed truck of 2012.

The mentioned car is the Miura Le Mans Concept made as a study design concept unveiled in 1970 and consists of 'two-part hybrid car' with a Lamborghini Miura rear chassis section and front passenger cabin designed 'like a glider cockpit'.

For your info, Lamborghini Miura is widely regarded as the world’s first Bertone's made supercar, powered by a 3.9-litre V12 engine which propelled it to a top speed of 163 mph and would reach 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. And we all agree that the Miura since it was first launched in 1966 one of the most beautiful cars ever produced, even until today almost sixty years since its launch, it still winning awards for its aesthetics.

In the midst of his admiration for the Miura in 1970, he took the iconic sports car as the basis, then turned it into a unique biodynamic car called the Miura Le Mans Concept and so called because it was formally intended to race on the legendary endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In the making process, Colani cut the Miura transversely while still using the powertrain and rear axle only, and coated it with a fiberglass tapered body work which ends with blunt tail. While the air intake channel for engine cooling is pinned in front of the rear wheel arches.

Hinged over the rear, the front (also made of fiberglass) is clearly inspired by the shape of the glider cockpit, in this case it has been enlarged, in addition to being able to accommodate two passengers sitting side by side as well as to compensate for the width of its rear-mounted engine. The cockpit is accessible through an extendable plexiglass dome, and uniquely, its two passengers's position inside the cockpit is almost laying down, as on the current Formula-1 cars.

While its two front wheels are hidden under the lateral ends of the passenger compartment. The Vignale Record Sperimentale 1000 is never be broke any record

GeGe As usual when surfing on the internet, and met uniquely shaped cars from the past, that spontanous made Us feels like to write something. This time we met again with the figure of a unique concept car made by Vignale, an Italian coachbuilder company in 1962 named the Vignale Record Sperimentale 1000 was built on the basis of the Fiat 600D.

If you look at the unique shape which at first glance resembelance a shape like a teardrop or gocia in Italian. Indeed, such vehicle's physical form was very popular to be developed by car makers at the time. Out of a series of aerodynamic studies that have been carried out and implemented in vehicle design, the teardrop design form managed to be the most efficient in terms of airflow.

Some of You might be remembered a similarly shaped vehicle called the Abarth 750 Coupe Goccia previously developed by those coachbuilder company in 1956 which designed by Giovanni Michelotti together with the Abarth 750 mechanics.

And five years later, Vignale made another one-off concept with a very striking distinctive look like the massive 'fish-bowl' windshield and is intended to be a record-breaker vehicle, at the time, the Italian coachbuilder claimed its Cd figure was just 0.25. However, no evidence appears to exist to suggest that any such record attempts were made.

Well, Vignale crafted the car in a long, low and relatively wide shape. The headlights were faired in behind Plexiglas for smoothness of airflow and the front bumpers were shaped like bullets. Just like its previous concept car of 1956, the 1962 Vignale-made Sperimentale 1000 was based on the platform of the Fiat 600D, complete with its suspension and rear-engined layout. While the engine has expanded from 767 cc to 1,000 cc carried out by the Turin-based ZM tuning company.

One of the forerunners of Bugatti EB110 proposed by Giorgietto Giugiaro

The Forerunner The 1990s were a very interesting period in terms of automotive design, alongside many other trends. It was an era when the automakers is left their automotive designers completely to work, which then led to a series of unique and interesting designs.

One of them is a supercar called the Bugatti ID90 Concept which is a 2-seat, all-wheel-drive, mid-engined supercar. The Bugatti ID90 concept is one of the models proposed by 4 renowned designers (consisted Marcello Gandini, Giorgietto Giugiaro, Paolo Martin and Nuccio Bertone) for the Bugatti EB110 supercar.

As quoted of DriveTribe, the Bugatti ID90 Concept, which debuted at the 1990 Turin Motor Show, was the first Bugatti's car model created by renowned automotive designer Giorgietto Giugiaro of ItalDesign. In general the ID90 Concept (the 'ID' in the name stood for ItalDesign, Giugiaro’s design company) and EB 110 have several things in common including a similar overall shape and many other design elements.

The style of the Bugatti ID90 Concept is clearly featured by a beautiful curvy lines and purposeful implemented with a massive glass dome coupled with an open rear section where air vents were installed to cool down the V12 engine sits behind the cockpit. Such style known as the hallmark of ItalDesign had also been implemented by the Moncalieri-based auto design house to the 1984 Lotus Etna, BMW Nazca C2 and M12.
Furthermore, the Bugatti ID90 Concept is powered by a 3.5-liter mid-mounted V12 engine with four turbochargers to drive all the wheels. Meanwhile its legs received a set of retro-flavored wheels as a nod to the 1926 Bugatti Royale. Trully stunning Jetson-age dreaming car

Dreaming Car Maybe you were one who had ever watched the classic television cartoon series 'The Jetsons' which tells the story of a family in the future era. Well, when you see the following concept car as we had also seen it in the QuirkyRides status in Twiiter, it might bring back memories of the futuristic vehicles in the cartoon series.

The appearance of the unique car called the Galileo Concept, since it was first shown to the public in 1957, is indeed very interesting and is still able to invite the admiration of those who see it today. As quoted of Motor1, the car built by an unknown American automaker named Joseph Galileo, then who was he?

He's an American veterans whose entered the US Army Air Corp in 1945 and serving during its transition to the United States Air Force. The story started in the late of 1950s, when the jet-powered aircrafts, spacecraft, and rockets began to be widely known to the public. At the time, he started to draw design sketch of this jets inspirated car.

Then he built this dream car using a frame taken from 1949 Ford, but the fiberglass body was all made by Galileo himself. He made molds of wood and plaster and shaped the car, complete with gullwing doors. The shape of the bumper is uniquely designed so that it features a jet-themed intakes that is the epitome of 1950s futuristic style on the front, then the car is powered by an Oldsmobile 'Rocket' V8 engine that's such a perfect match in both name and technology for the car.

The fact is the prototype was never completed with its interior is still bare empty, and as you can be seen there are missing components on the exterior too. Sadly, Galileo passed away in 2010, leaving the car as you see it now and never had a chance to see his concept fully finished.

As quoted of Hemmings, in 2018, this car has been sold for an unknown price after had been seen on a list of cars sold by Undiscovered Classics, an autodealership based in Tampa, Florida. One-off Marciano of 1970s You've never heard before

Wild Card Actually, in the world's automotive there are lots of exotic cars that escape the spotlight of mainstream media coverage cameras, which usually prefer well-known brands to be reported on. And the following exotic car is one of those that may be less known to the public today.

The mentioned car known as the Marciano 268A made in 1972 by a small Italian workshop based in Ponsacco in Tuscany named Marciano Prototipi owned by Vincenzo Marciano who was 23 years old when the car was built. The car's name has meaning around its engine, which is 2.6 liters, 8 cylinders and A = Anterior (front engine). As quoted of DrivesToday, this hand built exotic car story begins when Vincenzo Marciano took a crashed Alfa Romeo Montreal to be the basis of his dream car.

Marciano designed the tubular chassis, then combined with still useful Montreal's original components, while the aluminum bodywork was built by hand and inspired by the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, Ferrari 250 LM and all the Italian sports cars of the 1970s.

Some of the components installed on the car are taken from several other sports cars, for example the rear suspension came from a Jaguar E-Type, while the 13" wheels are originally from 33 Stradale and the windshield, headlights and taillights as well are taken from Ferrari 250 LM.

Then the drivetrain of Marciano-made car is a 2,593 cc V8 engine developed from the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale coupled with ZF gearbox. According to the automaker, the car which has a fairly light weight of around 800 kg is capable of accelerating from rest to 62 mph in 6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 150 mph.

The car's interior looks simple and focused. There are a pair of four-point harnesses leather bucket seats, then on its windows tucked a small section of the window slids back, and the aluminium doors were opened by simple straps. Meanwhile, behind the Luisi' wooden steering wheel is the dash filled with the Alfa Romeo instrumentation.

The car making project begun in 1972, and finished in the late 1990s. It was very slow and took years, because this was only ever a part-time project for Marciano. At last, the car made its public debut at Alfa Romeo's 100th anniversary celebrations in 2010, where it received a lot of praise and attention.
It's a proof of the Marciano-made car's quality is totally different from most other home-made projects. Peugeot 406 Toscana rather looks like the 1990's Batmobile

One Piece We first found how unique of this car, when we've seen it on the status of the French automaker in Twitter some time ago. After searching, turn out the car was one of Peugeot' prototypes that has a quite interesting shape named the Peugeot 406 Toscana Concept is presented at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show.

Besides its name refers to the Tuscany region in Italy, it could be interpreted as an early anticipation of the French' marque in partnership with the Italian coachbuilder based on one of their famous production models.

In fact the 406 Toscana Concept was designed by Pininfarina based on the Peugeot 406 series, and wasn't intend to realize into production version, but rather to announce the arrival of a new body version in the Peugeot 406 family, which for many known as one of the most beautiful cars in the history of the French brand.

At that time the French manufacturer said that the Toscana concept borrowed the ideals and classic proportions of Renaissance architects, and made it a kind of natural evolution of the 406 sedan as its basis. And when making the Toscana, the Peugeot designers are like creating a sculpture in movement.

Besides being designed by the famous Italian auto design company Pininfarina, it turns out that the concept vehicle is also produced at the coachbuilder's production facility in San Giorgio Canavese near Turin, Italy.  A few months after finished, the Peugeot 406 Toscana Concept was presented at the 1996 Paris Motor Show.

The concept car comes with a body that combines the main style elements of the 406 saloon, ranging from nose treatment, rear lamps, body swage line to the sci-fi canopy. So it is not surprising if many seen that the front of the prototype is identical to the first generation Peugeot 406, as is the rear (except the spectacular airfoil).

Although in this case, it's no longer a sedan, but a kind of targa-type convertible featured with a capsule-style glass surface, with a wide windshield, windows narrow, and a retractable glass roof, so it rather like a yacht than car.

Its cabin also looks similar to the 406 Coupe production version, although the showroom model uses more striking color combinations, such a combination of green and salmon tones. What is clear from such car' appearence, there're some who say that the Toscana is a frivolous concept even though it's still built based on a production model.

Not only that, there are some doubtful design attributes if they're coming from Pininfarina. Yet if it's an internal work, it shows Gérard Welter's sense of humor as being somewhat leftfield. Furthermore, it would be reminds us of some of GM's Motorama concepts of the 1950s or even Adam West's Batmobile.
Surprisingly, the Sochaux-based automaker's ad execution for the Peugeot 406 models (at least in the UK) featured the hit single 'Search For the Hero' from M People. In the case of Toscana Concept, no search is required, and its driver instantly granted superhero status. Guess what the Toscana Concept actually is? A Gallic' batmobile or a 406 Speedster? All of your guesses are as good as mine.
