Audi stunned Frankfurt auto expo with an autonomous offroad EV

Perhaps you are an offroad vehicles fan who would like to know the figure of offroad vehicles in the future. Well, might be this's a good news for you. Apparently amid the high enthusiasm of the world-famous automotive manufacturer on electric vehicles also touched the offroad vehicle segment.

At one of the world's automotive expos: the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi presented an offroad electric-powered vehicle concept named the Audi AI: TRAIL. The offroad EV concept already combines an autonomous driving system with extraordinary capabilities on various challenging terrains.

Through this concept, Audi wants to preview some of the design changes they have in mind for their future SUV models. The Ingolstadt-based auto manufacturer developed the AI: TRAIL with a broad perspective for passengers while in the cabin to enjoy the atmosphere and make it easier to monitor the terrain to be traversed.

"Presenting the AI: TRAIL, we want to show the offroad vehicle concept with electric drive without emissions for an innovative driving experience away from the highway," said Audi Head of Design, Marc Lichte. As quoted of Carscoops, on Thursday, September 11, 2019, this concept car was the fourth member of the Audi AI concept series, which began with the Aicon concept back in 2017.

This Audi concept car has a lightweight but rigid body structure thanks to a blend of high-tech steel material, aluminum and carbon fiber with a total weight of only 1,750 kg.

And the German company give visibility that offers passengers a broad viewing through the transponder glass, both front and sides. In the interior, the dashboard is free from any display. They only pinned a smartphone as an indicator panel and control center of the vehicle navigation system.
This Audi concept car embeds four electric motors that are assigned to drive all the wheels with combined output power reaching up to 429 horsepower (435 ps) and torque of 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). This concept car has also been integrated with an autonomous technology and typical Audi Quattro vehicles with four-wheel drive.

Unfortunately until now, Audi has not revealed the capacity of the battery pack yet. They only say the car can travel as far as 248-310 miles (400-500 km) on a paved road or 155 miles (250 km) on rough roads. Fiercing-look Huracán in a SuperTrofeo wide body kit

Mercedes-Benz vision of the future luxury sedan

If you want to know what luxury sedan looks like in the future, then you can see it in the figure of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS, which was recently launched at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Built with an extraordinary engineering, emotional designing by uses luxurious materials and carries the individual driving comfort concept. Because according to the German automotive giant, a luxury has also become part of individual freedom now and in the future.

By design, the Vision EQS seems to have no edges or what this German company calls the "lightbelt" structure. Where the car headlights use Digital Light technology which has 2 holographic lens modules so that it can produce unlimited light variations.

Due to the car is also claimed as a vehicle that can communicate. Through a 360-degree luminescence, and also through digital LED matrix grille and headlights Digital Light enables the car to communicate with the other vehicles and the surrounding environment.

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS moves by using 2 electric motors capable of producing power up to 476 hp and torque of 760 Nm. So that makes it able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds and can be run to top speed up to 200 kph. The electric power came from the batteries are stored on the floor.

And its power of battery is believed to be equivalent to super sports car capabilities. If the battery is in a fully charged condition, then this car is claimed to have a cruising capability of up to 700 km. And for the fast charging only in 20 minutes has able to fill to 80% of its battery capacity.

The Vision EQS's interior is inspired by yachts that can be seen from the dashboard blends with the body and design that surrounds the passengers like a yacht cabin. According to the German auto giant, in the future Mercedes-Benz cars will take inspiration from this design. Not to forget, in this car  includes an MBUX voice control system combined with a screen that can appear from behind the dashboard and ambient color with Connected Light technology.

The interior material chosen by Mercedes-Benz is made of Dinamica microfiber which is made from recycled PET plastic bottles. This material is combined with artificial leather which has a look like Nappa leather. Finally, the car ceiling is made of material taken from the recycling of ocean plastic wastes.
The platform used by Mercedes-Benz for Vision EQS is also designed as a modular platform that can be shortened and extended as needed. So this platform can be used for other types of vehicles. Talking about a future car is incomplete without an autonomous driving system.

Hyundai introduces its all-electric '45' concept in Frankfurt

Hyundai Motor Co. launched its electric-powered concept car at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show to strengthen its lineup with environmentally friendly models. The Hyundai '45' concept adopts the next generation of "sporty sensuous" design directions, which are defined by the harmony of four fundamental elements in vehicle design: proportion, architecture, style and technology.

This is the figure of the all-electric Hyundai '45' concept which was revealed as a sign of a new era of Hyundai's automotive design that focuses on electrification, autonomous technology, and intelligent design. The somewhat weird name of the concept actually has a pretty simple explanation.

The design of the all-electric Hyundai '45' concept is the result of a re-imagination of the Hyundai Pony Coupe Concept was on display 45 years ago. Those number represents 45 years since 1974, when the South Korean automaker launched those Pony Coupe Concept at the Torino Motor Show, as reported by Yonhap on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Its iconic character is defined by the monocoque body, aerodynamic and lightweight design inspired by 1920's aircraft. The name of the car also implies a 45 degree angle on the front and rear, forming a diamond-shaped silhouette.

"As an icon of Hyundai '45' concept clearly shows how the company is heading for the future through its heritage," said SangYup Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of the Hyundai Design Center.

The interior is inspired by furniture design today. The minimalist cabin is complemented by a blend of wood, fabric and leather which creates a warm, relaxed and spacious atmosphere.
Other innovations in the form where the front passengers can interact with the infotainment system through the projection-beam interface. VW ID.3, a symbol of the Volkswagen's new era

The Volkswagen ID.3 electric car has become a superstar in one of the world's automotive events, the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show held on September 12-22, 2019. By saying these all-electric hatchback-designed vehicles as an exhibition star, it feels no exaggeration due to the car indeed was already ordered up to 30,000 units for several European countries including Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Like all future VW ID models, the VW ID.3 is based on a modular electric drive matrix (MEB), which has been designed for an uncompromising electric drive system.

The German  auto giant will also produce 33 different electric vehicle models based on the MEB platform in the next three years. The plan will be also applied to the other brands under the VW group. As we all know, Volkswagen is a German automotive giant that houses major brands including AUDI, Porsche and Skoda.

Further the VW ID.3 has revolutionary car interior. Its long wheelbase of the MEB layout, combined with very short overhangs, results in a spacious interior. With the space and spaciousness of its, the ID.3 with 5-seater sets a new standard in the compact class vehicles.

The display and control elements are completely new, but very easy to operate. Apart from the cockpit display, the newly developed and positioned ten-inch touch screen at the center provides all important information to the driver.

At the beginning of the launch, ID.3 will come with 3 battery size options. The basic variant features a 45 kWh battery that can take you traveling up to 330 kilometers. The next option is a 58 kW battery with a range of up to 420 km. The last variant is battery with the largest energy content of 77 kWh and a distance of up to 550 km.
The ID.3 battery can be charged in a 100 kW fast charging system in 30 minutes so you can explore 290 km. Although until now the German company has not announced the full specifications of the car, and at what price. But it is estimated that VW ID.3 will be sold at prices starting from €30,000 (Rp.467 million).
