Infiniti Concept Vision GranTurismo

Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo realized in virtual form for the GranTurismo 6 game. This supercar is not only designed for gaming, but also provide the information of Infiniti's high performance in the future.

The project began as a global design competition to design Infiniti "A Pure Infiniti GT Car". The winners who designed this model is derived from the Infiniti design team in Beijing.

Pelopor Transplantasi Organ

VLADIMIR PETROVICH DEMIKHOV (1916-1998) 
Vladimir Petrovich Demikhov adalah seorang ilmuwan Soviet. Dia melakukan eksperimen aneh dengan kepala anjing, yaitu menjaga kepala seekor anjing tetap hidup meski telah dipisahkan dari tubuhnya, dan kemudian menanam kepala itu ke tubuh anjing lain.

Dia lahir pada tahun 1916, Demikhov menjadi terkenal karena eksperimen dalam transplantasi organ dan selama tahun 1930-an hingga 1950-an, setelah dia menjabat sebagai dokter bedah di rumah sakit Tentara Merah selama Perang Dunia II. Selama hari-hari pertempuran, dia sering menjahit luka dan mengamputasi tentara-tentara korban perang. Di saat kesibukannya yang seperti itulah, ia memiliki ide yang sangat gila: Kita mungkin dapat melakukan transplantasi jantung dan paru-paru pada manusia.

Tidak ada yang percaya kepadanya saat itu. Karena pada saat itu, transplantasi organ adalah sebuah konsep yang luarbiasa gila. Saking gilanya, maka butuh orang gila seperti Stalin untuk mendukung konsep ini. Kemudian Stalin mendirikan fasilitas medis rahasia setelah perang untuk bereksperimen dengan transplantansi organ dan pencarian konsep hidup panjang.

Di laboratoriumnya pada fasilitas medis rahasia tersebut, Demikhov berhasil mencangkokkan jantung dan paru-paru antar hewan. Pada tahun 1960 ia menerbitkan monografi ilmiah pertama tentang transplantology yang berjudul "Experimental transplantation of vital organs." Itu sebuah karya yang memulai ilmu transplantasi seperti yang kita kenal sekarang. Bahkan, Dr. Christiaan Neethling Barnard - seorang dokter bedah pertama yang melakukan transplantasi jantung manusia dengan sukses- menganggap Demikhov sebagai mentornya.

Tapi Demikhov menjadi lebih terkenal karena percobaan transplantasi lain yang lebih gila: transplantasi kepala anjing! Setelah sukses melakukan transplantasi pertama dengan rekannya Profesor AG Konevskiy di Universitas Kedokteran negara bagian Volgograd, Demikhov mulai melakukan pertukaran kepala anjing-anjing.

Dia juga menanamkan kepala anjing dan bagian tubuh lain dari seekor anjing pada anjing yang berbeda, sehingga menghasilkan hibrida yang sangat aneh yang hanya bertahan selama beberapa bulan. Penelitian ini menginspirasi seorang dokter Amerika, Robert White, yang juga ahli bedah perang dunia kedua lainnya dengan mengikuti jejak ahli bedah Soviet, melakukan eksperimen yang sama dengan monyet rhesus.

Karya Demikhov menyebabkan terjadinya 'perlombaan' transplantasi antara Uni Soviet dan Amerika Serikat. White memiliki ide-ide gila sendiri, seperti transplantasi kesadaran dari tubuh ke tubuh dengan mentransplantasikan otak. Ini adalah sesuatu yang tidak atau belum berhasil dilakukan (meskipun mungkin tranplantasi ini sampai sekarang masih dicoba di beberapa fasilitas bawah tanah rahasia). Saat ini ada beberapa keberhasilan dengan transplantasi stem sel ke dalam otak (terutama dengan penyakit Parkinson dan Alzheimer). Namun sel-sel baru ini sering mati tidak lama setelah proses implantasi.
Untuk semua pekerjaannya yang luar biasa, yang mengawali munculnya ilmu transplantasi yang telah menyelamatkan jutaan nyawa sejauh ini, Vladimir Petrovich tidak menerima banyak pengakuan dan penghargaan. This machine can change water into fuels

Recently has created a machine that could produce fuels without need of drilling is only by combining hydrogen and CO2. How? The machines made by a German clean-tech company named Sunfire GmbH and the key element is the Fischer-Tropsh process which was converts carbon monoxide and hydrogen into liquid hydrocarbons.

To obtain hydrogen and carbon monoxide from water and carbon dioxide requires several steps. First of all water used is converted into steam, then oxygen and hydrogen are separated in the solid oxide electrolysers. Hydrogen is then used to reduce CO2 to CO, which is then combined with hydrogen to form hydrocarbons.

This process is not as bizarre as it sounds, and requires a large amount of electricity in the beginning to turn water into steam. But this time, Sunfire claim that this whole process is to have the energy efficiency of about 70 percent. It is far better than most conventional gasoline or diesel engines.

This machine costing seven digits can produce about one barrel of fuel per day when recycle 3.2 tonnes of CO2. Based on that, it would require a large number of machines and cash to meet the global demand for fossil fuels.

"This rig enables us to prove technical feasibility on an industrial scale," said Sunfire CTO Christian von Olshausen. "It is now a matter of regulatory factors falling into place in a way which gives investors a sufficient level of planning reliability. Once that has occurred it will be possible to commence the step-by-step substitution of fossil fuels. Tavax 2011V is the project name of the builder who was joined by Tavax Engineering in Yao City Osaka Japan. Tavax custom motorcycle itself had won the most prestigious contest custom motorcycle in the world - the AMD World Championship of 2011.
