The latest roofless V12-engined supercar of Ferrari

Unique ONES After some time ago Lamborghini launched the one-off racing-purposed supercar called the Lamborghini Squadra Corse SC18, and it seems Ferrari also did not want to miss. Recently the Maranello-based premium car manufacturer launched their latest creation, named Ferrari SP3JC.

The SP3JC is the latest one-off project from Ferrari which has been officially handed over to its owner namely John Collins, a Scottish collector and former freelance writer. The vehicle designed by the Ferrari Styling Center is an order from a Ferrari collector who wants a pure roadster with a chassis and engine taken from the F12tdf.

This car produced only one unit, and ordered by the one-off series, it will provide the maximum expression of the driving experience with an open-roof car, and at the same time will remind again to the 1950s and 60s V12-engined Ferrari spider car product.
Ferrari SP3JC wears a funky tri-color paint scheme that really doesn’t do justice to the exclusivity of this model. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2zyc8Ry)
This roofless (obviously) car has a very muscular appearance with dynamic grooves on the sides designed to emphasize the front-engine layout, a typical air intake hole placement on the front, and a dramatic rear fascia with horizontal lines that make it look wider.
Ferrari SP3JC uses a 6.3-liter V12 producing 780 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2zyc8Ry)
The client's love of Pop Art is reflected in the firm graphics, and the unique combination of livery from the Azzurro Met (blue) and Giallo Modena (yellow) above the main Bianco Italia (white) color scheme that confirms the sensual impression of the car.
It took more more than three years to build the one-off Ferrari SP3JC. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2zyc8Ry)
The sporty theme that is strengthened is seen by the installation of special details such as two-glass inserts on the hood to show off the V12 780cv engine, a link between the fairing of an integrated carbon fiber roll and a brushed aluminum fuel tank cap.
Then on its interior, there is a pair of racing-styled seat made of genuine leather in blue with white inserts. The blue colored leather extends to the bottom of dashboard and is sewn with contrasting colored stitches throughout the interior trim.
As quoted of Top Speed, Ferrari to build it since more than three years ago. The wait was long, but the final product made it worth it. *** [EKA [061218] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DIGITRENDS | TOPSPEED]

The four-cylinder version will produce over 300 horsepower, and produce at least as much as 416-hp of output than the Evora GT, meaning performance overlaps with the two. Furthermore, Matt Windle confirmed, that there will be no hybrid or plug-in variant so Lotus plans to make it as a direct transition to a fully electrified production model. The British manufacturer has not informed yet where the Emira's engine came from, but as insider sources specifically said that is not a Volvo or Geely powertrain unit.
The Emira sports car will retain its aluminum-bonded architecture, although the teaser image clearly shows that the exterior design is inspired by the carbon fiber-made Lotus Evija hypercar. While the cabin will be wider than previous Lotus models, featuring digital instruments and a capacitive touch screen for many control functions. It will also be the first Lotus to have an active safety system, although none require steering intervention.

So for now on, let's wait until the day of the Lotus Emira would be came in July 6, 2021 and see what the Lotus' last petrol-engined sportscar could be like. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LOTUS | CARSCOOPS | WIKIPEDIA ]

Pagani Imola has sold out before It launching

SuperBEAST The automotive world seems to be always excited, this is marked by the number of automotive manufacturers that look like endless to launch new products. And entering 2020 as an example, Pagani, one of the leading Italian automotive manufacturers. Yes, they seem to have not stopped to be creative which then launched a supercar variant called the Pagani Imola.
Pagani Imola plans to debut at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show in March. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2vHrtjJ)
The supercar variant's name was inspired by the Imola racing circuit located in Italy. This circuit track is a test site for the development of Pagani's latest supercar variant. And even the Italian manufacturer had ever been uploaded a trial display of this car through its social media account in September last year.
Pagani Imola somehow gets its own model name despite clearly taken the inspiration of its predecessor Huayra. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SEL64L)
And this latest variant also reportedly included in one of the units that will be displayed by the Italian manufacturer at the Geneva Motor Show 2020 event later. The Italian manufacturer officially gave a leaked specification of the Pagani Imola hypercar that was ready to be brought to the exhibition.
The steering wheel and dashboard view of Pagani Imola. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
It is said that the variant model is an upgraded version of the previous model, Pagani Huayra, by resetting the V12 engine from Mercedes Benz with a capacity of 6.0 L with a double turbo device. So this engine is capable of producing bursts of power up to 827 horsepower with 1,100 Nm of torque which is then channeled through a seven-speed semi-automatic transmission system to drive the wheels.
Luxurious genuine leather seats inside the Pagani Imola cabin. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
Although there are no official performance figures released by the manufacturer in terms of speed, Pagani Imola is said to be one of the fastest cars that can be driven on the streets. In construction, this supercar uses a monocoque chassis with Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax. And it is also said that Pagani Imola comes with a unique suspension geometry because the damper will be connected to each other through the latest central electronics. In addition to the dampers, central electronics can also handle engines, transmissions, and differentials.
Pagani Imola has a new feature called the 'Smart Gas' system that reduces the shift times while improving performance(Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
And this is the first supercar made by Pagani that uses the Acquarello Light paint to reduce the car’s weight by 5 kilograms without sacrificing the color’s depth, richness, and shine. Not only that, but the car also uses aluminum, titanium, and chrome-molybdenum steel, so the final weight of this car is recorded at just 1,246 kg. In addition to its lighter weight, this car is also built using more than 770 new components that are made by sophisticated CNC machine tools.
Pagani Imola uses a Mercedes-Benz AMG motor, a roaring 60-degree, 6-liter V12 making that aforementioned 827 hp as well as 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2uYrnE3)
Another leak said this car will have increased acceleration, especially in the replacement of the transmission with the addition of a new system called Smart Gas which is claimed to be able to make this supercar more easier to be controlled. But unfortunately, the new detailed information will be delivered by this Italian company when the world's largest automotive exhibition takes place in March.
Then Pagani Imola will only be assembled as many as five units, with the latest news, all of them have been sold to interested ones now. Although, Pagani sold each unit of this supercar in the price range of €5 million or around Rp.74.1 billion. However, it isn't yet known whether the unit displayed in Geneva later is one of the models that has been sold. We thought this supercar launches decent to be waiting. An Aussie hypercar candidate named Giocattolo 'Hyperod' Marcella

SuperBEAST As the world's automotive slumped globally, it also affected to the Australia which now has no longer seen as a profitable place for the automotive industry, therefore many of the world's automotive manufacturers such as Ford, GM and Toyota were decided to end their manufacturing operations in those country. But fortunately, there are some local car manufacturers such as Brabham Automotive and another car kit manufacturers kept the car industry still alive in Australia.
The new Aussie hypercar named Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella said to be ready to premiere at the 2022 Peeble Beach Concours d'Elegance. (Picture from: CarBuzz)
Soon, there'll be a newcomer to the automotive industry in the Aussie, namely Giocattolo Motori, a high-performance car company founded by Paul Halstead, the former owner of De Tomaso Australia. Reportedly, the auto company will be launching a new hypercar called the Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella in the next two years which is claimed to have extraordinary power because it uses a W16 engine made by combining a pair of Chevrolet's LS7 V8 engines.
The Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella is basically a mix of the hypercar and hot rod genres, with a stunning look and awesome soundtrack, a low body, high-tech powertrain, analog instruments and inputs, and a visual link to American hot rod history. (Picture from: CarBuzz)
The engine will boast Higgins race heads with a billet alloy bridge tying the two blocks into one and a plate across the back for affixing a custom transfer case. That transfer case's job is to channel the torque from both crankshafts into a single output shaft that interfaces with an Albins-supplied, six-speed sequential transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Most high-tech of all, the whole assembly will serve as a stress-bearing member of the chassis, just like in an F1 car.
The Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella is powered by a W16 engine is made by combining a pair of Chevrolet's LS7 V8 engines. (Picture from: CarBuzz)
"I wanted the power of the Bugatti Veyron but I couldn’t afford to build a bespoke W16 engine, and frankly nor did I have the expertise. Chasing power, I started with an LS7 Chevrolet alloy V8. Supercharging was a possibility and which I was familiar with this tech, having just built one for my wide-bodied Monaro GTO. But the centre of gravity would have been way too high," said Halstead as qouted of Caradvic.com.au.
The Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella is a wild-looking lightweight three seats speedster and claimed to have extraordinary power of 1,400 hp. (Picture from: CarBuzz)
Then he chose another way by combining two LS7 engines mounted side by side by tilting eeach at a 45-degree angle and incorporating dry-sump lubrication. The whole thing was just over one metre wide, that's includes eight central exhausts pipes, the other eight pipes (four per side) would come out flat above the carbon floor. As the result is claimed to be very amazing, because the engine is capable of spraying power up to 1,400 hp and still meets current emission regulations as well.
The Giocattolo 'HypeRod' Marcella will be produced in America and for the time being the price is still not settled yet but obviously it will be at the rarefied end of a very exclusive market. (Picture from: CarBuzz)
It was also stated that the Marcella will be the first of the new car genre of Halstead called as the "hyperod." It's basically a mix of the hypercar and hot rod genres, with a stunning look and awesome soundtrack, a low body, high-tech powertrain, analog instruments and inputs, and a visual link to American hot rod history. Equally important, to qualify as a hyperod, a mechanical part such as a machine must be visible and exquisite to look at. The kerb weight of the car is estimated to be around 1250kg.

Halstead hopes that Giocattolo Marcella, a wild-looking lightweight three seats speedster, will be ready to premiere at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The plan, the hypercar will be produced in America and for the time being the price of Halstead's Hyperod is still not settled yet but obviously it will be at the rarefied end of a very exclusive market. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARADVICE | CARBUZZ ]

When the Jaguar was clawed by Raymond Loewy's eccentric designs

ONE-OFF We are still discussing the works ever presented for the automotive world in the past by Raymond Loewy, whose also known as the Father of Industrial Design through many of his works in the world's modern industrial. Yes, we have discussed some of his works here, such as the 1941 Loewy Lincoln, the 1957 BMW 507 Loewy Concept, and the 1959 Lancia Loraymo.
1955 Jaguar XK140 Coupe without front bumper as an inhouse study designed by Raymond Loewy and the bodywork built by Boano Carrozzeria. (Picture from: Carstyling.ru)
Now, we will have a glimpse of one of the British's brand car models, the Jaguar XK140 Coupe, after receiving a touch of the Raymond Loewy's designs. Indeed, there is not much information about the Loewy's Jaguar model was completed in 1955.
The original 1955 Jaguar XK140 Fixed Head Coupe. (Picture from: Driving.ca)
As qouted of Carstyling, the project started when the designer together with his Southbend-based automotive design firm was at the peak of their career and presented works at various the major world's automotive show held in Paris, London and New York.
1955 Jaguar XK140 Coupe without front bumper designed by Raymond Loewy while sat on display at the Paris Auto Salon in October 1955. (Picture from: Carstyling.ru)
Uniquely, the project was originally commissioned by Ferrari to be undertaken secretly by Loewy Design in order to produce a design study for the Ferrari Europa in 1954. At the time, Loewy was looking for an unbroken line flowing from the hood to the back, along the lines of Virgil Exner's "dart" theme. As a result, the body line was developed before the trim.
1955 Jaguar XK140 Coupe without front bumper as an inhouse study designed by Raymond Loewy and the bodywork built by Boano Carrozzeria. (Picture from: Carstyling.ru)
The pointy nose gave the Southbend-based auto designers  problems in locating the headlights position, and in designing the grille and bumpers as well. Then they tried to make three or four different grille designs before settling on the final version, ie the chromed grille resembeled the "waterfall" effect one. Soon after that a 1:4 scaled clay model without the front bumper was built in South Bend, and sent to Boano Carrozzeria in Italy for construction of the actual body.
The Jaguar XK140 Coupe after got a few modifications in the 1956 with a new bumper and two foglights in the front. (Picture from: TheAvanti.com)
However, later the news about those projects leaked and was heard by Pininfarina and soon they voiced a complaint to Enzo Ferrari. This put  Ferrari into a dilemma, and then the prancing horse logoed auto manufacturer big boss decided better to part ways with Loewy rather than spoil the relationship with his favorite carrozzeria. And left the halfway and uncompleted car design project, then Loewy decided to proceed it as an in-house design exercise.
The Jaguar XK140 Coupe after got a few modifications in the 1956 shows nice proportions of the right sideview. (Picture from: Carstyling.ru)
To finish the car design process, Loewy then bought a Jaguar XK140 Coupe (chassis number # 814096) which is considered to have almost similar wheelbase and track as a Ferrari. The Jag was stripped down to leave only the chassis, then the Boano Carrozzeria's bodywork attached upon it. That's not 100 percent fits to its original design, there are a few adjustments have to be made to accommodate the slightly shorter wheelbase and a taller dimension of the XK engine (thus making the hood pop up a little).
The Jaguar XK140 Coupe after got a few modifications in the 1956 with huge window, bumper frames tail light lenses at rear. (Picture from: Carstyling.ru)
After finished, the car brought to debut at the Paris Auto Salon in October 1955, but it did not attract much attention. At the time, it was displayed without a bumper, due to the designers were still having trouble determining its position and shapes. The car was shown again at the next Paris Auto Salon with some updates before being brought back to New York in the 1956.

In 1957, Loewy was persuaded to sell those car to the famous boxer Archie Moore who was the then heavyweight champion. Reportedly, the agreed price was $25,000, which was a real big number at the time (estimated over $200,000 under today's money). According to Jalopnik, the car was destroyed in the fire in 1957, since then it was never seen again.😭 That's too bad.*** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSTYLING.RU | AUTOMOBILIAC | COACHBUILD | JALOPNIK ]
