BMW being prepared their latest hybrid supercar

BMW not to be outdone by other automotive manufacturers, and it looks like they're interested in producing a proper supercar to rival the Porsche 911 Turbo, McLaren 570S and even Lamborghini SC18. As reported by Carscoops, this newest BMW supercar is the top type of their M division.

And the new supercar is believed to be displayed in 2023, when Ferrari, Lamborghini and other supercar car makers will launch their latest supercar electric model. Its presence is also a substitute for their existing i8 series today. And reported that if the supercar which no have name yet was in the top of list of the BMW's M division.

"If you are an engineer, once in your life you would want to make a super-sports car. I think partial electrification will allow that," said BMW board member responsible for product development, Klaus Frohlich.

"If we have an electric drive unit that is very compact and very strong, then the carbon fiber chassis, for example, i8's and has a high-performance engine, then you can combine it into a real performance package," he added later.

It's too early to talk about the power produced, but this newest BMW supercar is expected to have a power of around 700 hp. This can be easily places it above the M8 which is equipped with 600 hp. This also makes it more expensive than the existing flagship GT and i8 series.

"M will also be an electric car in the future, but we will also work hard on the partial electric sector in this M car," said Klaus Frohlich.

"This is because they not only need acceleration in a straight line. They have to drive corners and race tracks, so heavy weight is still a problem and these electric vehicles still have serious problems regarding power coverage." he said as the closing.

In conclusion, BMW is now preparing to launch a sports model with a hybrid/plug-in engine and light construction is the first step for BMW's M division to use an electric engine and presenting high-performance cars without emissions is their main focus. And according to Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, Porsche hasn't decided what type of powertrain to use on these concept car. A hybrid or electric car seems to be a possibility on the table now.

"If we want the next hypercar to use electricity, then we have to wait, because the battery performance is not in accordance with what we need to meet our performance targets. But it was not decided that the car would be fully electric. There are opportunities with hybrids too. We will make a decision when the time is right."

Aventador SVJ Roadster looks more sexy while no roof

Lamborghini utilizes the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to introduce the all-new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster. A roofless model of Lamborghini supercar, which is only available in limited numbers ie 800 units, is sold mid-year with a price tag that is certainly not cheap. On the United States market, the Aventador SVJ Roadster is set to start at $573,996 (or appox. Rp.8.2 billion).
All-new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster has been launched at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2HcScXr)
Behind the hood is a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. Yes, even without a turbo, this car is capable of producing the highest power of 769 PS at 8,500 rpm and torsional moment reaches 720 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The overall power is sent to all wheels through a single clutch 7-speed automatic transmission system.

Instead of applying an electric folding roof, the Aventador SVJ Roadster prefers to use the removable hard top manually. Lamborghini also made it from RTM high pressure carbon fiber material. Its weight is only 6 kg, so the owner is easy to lift it. The component can be stored in the front trunk.

Interestingly, the Italian raging bull logoed auto manufacturer set the rear window down, without the need to remove the roof. Certainly the owner can hear the roar of its V12 engine more clearly.

"Driving the Aventador SVJ is basically as interesting, but with additional exclusivity in the form of an open roof option. With the same performance when the roof is closed or open, the Aventador SVJ Roadster combines coupe dynamics with the unique spirit of the Lamborghini roadster," said Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Stefano Domenicali as quoted of Motor1.

The Lamborghini claimed their SVJ Roadster structure is strengthened, making it more rigid and safer to drive. This is to compensate for the open roof model that will affect vehicle performance. Thanks to the reinforcement, the weight increased by 50 kg compared to the coupe model.

Even so, the car can still able to accelarate from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and penetrate 200 kph from the stop position for 8.8 seconds. The maximum speed you can reach is 350 kph, wow!

To support its performance, the Aventador SVJ Roadster is given the latest version of the active aerodynamic system, Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA). This feature uses water dams and flaps on intakes and other elements. The point is to increase top speed, maximize downforce, help braking and control when maneuvering at corners.
The braking system entrusts carbon ceramics with a diameter of 400 mm and 6 piston calipers for the front wheels. While behind it is smaller, 380 mm with four piston calipers. Still on its leg sector, the rims differ in size by 20 inches installed in front and 21 inches behind with a lighweight alloy profile. The four are wrapped by Pirelli P Zero Corsa 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 tires. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOSU SOURCES | MOTOR1]

When new Corvette C8 mid-engined made in Convertible version

It has long been rumored that the famous American automotive manufacturer Chevrolet will launch the latest Corvette car using the V8 mid-engined composition. And so far the ones that are widely circulating in cyberspace to this day both photos and videos are the figure of a Corvette has a hardtop coupe.
Spy shot of Corvette C8 mid-engined coupe. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2LoDIc9)
Recently there has been a little different as reported by Motor1, when a video clip circulating was taken from the Midengine Corvette Forum (member chazcron). In the clip describes the figure of Corvette in the Convertible version and including how its roof is folded..
Folding the roof means there must be a place to store it. From the Chazcron video rendering looks really overhauling the mid-engine Corvette's rear deck into a flatter, yet still attractively sculpted panel. The portion directly behind the seat is tilted upward, and the roof slots vertically into that space.
Spy shot of Corvette C8 mid-engined coupe. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2H1SFeP)
When driving on the road without its roof, the mid-engined Corvette still looks great. Chazcron adds nacelles behind the seats which are both stylish and provide rollover protection. The only thing missing is a wind deflector between the nacelles to make the interior a little quieter when the occupants don't want quite so much wind in their hair while driving on this car.
Spy shot of Corvette C8 mid-engined coupe. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2H1SFeP)
The Hardtop Corvette C8 mid-engined coupe will make its official debut at an event in Orange County, California, on July 18, 2019. When launched, this model is reported to be using a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 460 horsepower (343 kilowatts) and eight speeds with dual clutch gearbox. Later, there will be a twin-turbo model with around 600 hp (447 kW) and maybe even a hybrid top-range with around 1,000 hp (745 kW).
So far there have been no signs from Chevy for the droptop mid-engined Corvette. But keeping in mind the history of models that offer convertible variants, it's hard to believe that the model won't arrive in the end. With Bowtie expecting high demand for the new generation of 'Vette, the company may not rush to add another body style immediately after the launch of the coupe version.. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1 | MOTOR AUTHORITY]

That means there is no manual transmission offered on this car.

Jim Owens, Ford Performance Marketing Manager said the DCT system can get more engine performance than can be done by humans who need to shift the gears manually. But, Ford Performance Chief Engineer, Carl Widmann does not rule out the possibility of applying a manual transmission to this car in the future.

"Right now, we are only attached DCT, we hear feedback, we are really close to Mustang lovers, and we always listen to what our customers want, right?" Widmann said as quoted by Roadandtrack.
There are no rear seats on the Track Pack version of the GT500, but they do come on the base model. The interior of the vehicle is unique since there is no manual option. Instead, there is a seven-speed DCT for quick shifts. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2vN6CIh)

Large angled grid openings and muscular hoods are designed to give the best aerodynamic systems inspired by modern fighter jets.

A wider front fender and easel for the Shelby GT500 seat are made 20x11-inch specifically proportional to the rear fenders that hug up to 20x11.5-inch wheels. The rear spoiler also has new standards and updated composite materials.

Despite being able to accelerate quickly, interior comfort is also important for this American auto manufacturer. One of them uses the best compositions. Like using carbon fiber on each side, until the Dark Slate Miko suede door panel with accent stitches. Furthermore, the Recaro racing seat also has a safety harness installed on this car.
Shelby GT500 uses a 12-inch full-color LCD instrument, while the premium B & O audio system Play 12-speaker with high taste is available in its dashboard. All of this is controlled via the 8-inch SYNC 3 touch screen featuring SiriusXM and FordPass Connect.

For new color choices are also offered such as Red Hot, Twister Orange and Iconic Silver. Pictorial lines are also available for the all new Shelby GT500.
With the advent of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 on the road in the near future, of course it was intentionally intended to be a serious and fierce challenger to its competitors such as the Chevy Camaro ZLI and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOMOBLOG | DRIVEZING | ROAD&TRACK]

A concept car made as a tribute to David Bowie

David Bowie is not only a musical genius, a cinematic icon, a multi-talented artist, and world's famous public figure. He is an inspiration to everyone. Not to mention the former PSA Peugeot Citroën designer, Takumi Yamamoto who designed a concept car as an expression to tribute to Bowie and his music through the 'DB Project.'

It took 21 years to make it happen. And finally Yamamoto showed his creation on a full-scale 3D model of the vehicle during the Exposition Concept Car in Paris, which was open to the public and was held from 31 January to 3 February 2019 ago.

"The date of my first sketch read April 1997," Yamamoto as told to Business Insider. Known for its futuristic exterior style 'GT by Citroën' in addition to various creations in the world of the Gran Turismo video game, the Japanese designer hung a Bowie poster in his childhood room in Tokyo.
A car built as a tribute to British singer David Bowie named 'A Portrait of DB,' has been shown at the Exposition Concept Car in Paris. (Picture from: https://aol.it/2WgAVCR)
Working in Paris as an independent car designer when David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, the Yamamoto designed car which was originally to be used as a collaborative display with the artist immediately turned into a tribute car for the artist. To translate his pencil drawing and produce a 3D model, Yamamoto asked for help from his former co-worker at PSA.

A concept car model made as a tribute to British singer David Bowie named 'A Portrait of DB,' also claimed as the world’s first 3D printed, full-scale concept car will soon be unveiled thanks to the collaborative efforts of Massivit 3D Printing Technologies, Marie 3D and car designer Takumi Yamamoto. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2vvuXCn)
Cyrille Ancely, who specializes in computer style, expressed interest in Takumi's idea of translating someone's character into a car. After hours of experimentation, both creative minds transformed Bowie's work into an algorithm that "creates parametric patterns" to be applied to cars. Basically extracting key words from Bowie's work in the design of his car.

A CGI artists named Alexandre Larnac were then recruited to turn on concept cars, learn various pencil sketches and 3D transcripts, highlighting the superiority of the concept..

And to complete the car and then given a name 'A Portrait of DB', Yamamoto and the team found Marie 3D which has the 'MASSIVit 3D' largest 3D printer in the world. And realizing the opportunity to promote the new technology, the company agreed to make and produce Yamamoto's dream car.
Until now, there is still no clear picture of the vehicle. But in the future, Yamamoto hopes to develop this project with further evolution. Asked about the predictions of this car being produced, he replied, "Why not, but I'm not sure which brand will accept this concept!" *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TAKUMI YAMAMOTO | SIGNIFICA | AOL]

The most extreme one-off Ferrari supercar ever designed

Creating a new and modern prototype concept on a Ferrari sports car is an ambitious and complex venture. However, not only enthusiasm, but also requires specific input from the clients.
The most extreme Ferrari's one-off supercar ever designed called Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2KHkX3e)
Because of this, the Maranello-based auto manufacturer only produces one unit of the Ferrari P80/C, built at the Ferrari Stilo Centro facility under the direction of Flavio Manzoni supported by the high skilled engineering and aerodynamic team and works together with the clients. By sharing principles and vision, to create a new 'Hero Car' with a truly unique soul and authentic DNA.

The clients in question is someone who is an expert in the world of Ferrari, has came from a family of fans and admirers of the prancing horse logoed car for a long time, and he himself is a smart and knowledgeable Ferrari collector. Thus he is the perfect partner in challenging projects like this that require an intensive level of interaction and emotional involvement as well.
Final design sketch of the one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2v9qmFY)
The basic idea of the client is to create a modern sports car prototype inspired by iconic models in Ferrari's history, such as: Ferrari 330 P3/P4 on one part and 1966 Ferrari Dino 206 S on the other. As such, the Ferrari P80/C project gives the Ferrari Styling Center an ambitious target to develop a new type of unit that has never existed before in the range of current Ferrari products. A prototype sports car inspired by cars that basically presents its own style of rules in the process of becoming a famous iconic car.
Ferrari P80/C is a new ride four years in the making, built for one unnamed collector for an undisclosed price. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2GpjESA)
Although it is known and made specifically as a track car, it is still influenced in its entirety from the series of elegant Ferrari's road-legal cars. An example is the close relationship between the Ferrari Dino 206 S race car and the Dino 206/246 GT. Both versions have similarities in DNA even though they have different styles.

The Ferrari P80/C project began in 2015 and has the longest working time of all types of Ferrari's one-off limited edition special series production, that's make the P80/C is very different. This decision was made to use the 488 GT3 framework as a basis, not only for performance capabilities, but also for the distance on the wheels (+ 50 mm compared to 488 GTB).
Front-left side view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
With respect to the Ferrari 488's classic layout in which the cockpit tends to be placed centrally, the GT chassis allowed the designers to emphasis a cab forward-effect in which the rear is elongated, lending the car a more aggressive, compact character. This was one of the cornerstones of the P80/C’s styling from the early stages of the design process.
Interior view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
From the top of the car, you can see clearly the car body is bigger on the front wheels, then narrows sharply. This iconic frame is also confirmed by supporting C pillars that are physically detached from the cabin. In addition, the C pillars also wrap the intake funnel, while on the other side the pillars also feature sharp drops between the roof and the surface of the rear engine cover.

In accordance with client's request, this car is designed with two souls: first with a racing set-up, which includes quite striking carbon fiber wings and a single nut 18 inches wheels, and a complete package with 21 inches wheels but without complementary aerodynamics, to highlight the purity of its shape.
Rear down view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
The design of the Ferrari P80/C is made to be easily visible. Although made entirely of carbon fiber, only parts with tight technical functions are left blank, while the main car body has been painted in bright characters Rosso Vero.
