Fiero thought itself would be Enzo

Weird ONES Sometime ago we've found there's a Fiero thought itself would be Enzo, weird isn't? As we all know that the Ferrari Enzo is a very rare and expensive supercar that only real multimillionaires or billionaires can buy. However, for very different money, (if it sold), you can own the unique Pontiac Fiero, which disguised itself as the famous Italian supercar, and dubbed the Fierri or Fiero 'Enzo'.😀
This unique Fierri Enzo car creation built based on 1986 Pontiac Fiero and inspired by Ferrari Enzo. (Picture from: CarAkoom)
Might be for some it seems unique and pretty good in its new guise. Unfortunately, the same opinion cannot be said by others, especially for those true Ferrari loyalists. For them, it's terrible car looks, as in their opinion that's an ugly replica or copy of the Ferrari Enzo. Uniquely, with its somewhat strange appearance, in fact many parties are curious about it, then invites the car owner in various media, for example it has become a frequent guest on several YouTube channels.
The 1986 Pontiac Fiero was a donor car for a weird-ugliest replica of Ferrari Enzo dubbed as the Fierri. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
The car received mixed reviews and notoriety by showing off at the exclusive Quail 2019 A Motorsports Gathering in Monterey, winning the Concours d'Lemons Worst in Show award, and was even featured in an episode of Jay Leno's Garage. So actually this car is made only for jokes as seen on the Car Bros's Youtube channel.
This unique Fierri Enzo car creation known to use a fiberglass body kit featured with some kind of a scissor-style doors. (Picture from: Cars&Bids)
As quoted of CarAkoom, it is not known when and who made the car, only mentioned was built a few years ago. Then the car that is known to use a fiberglass body kit plugs on the Fiero chassis, and powered by an 2.8-liter V6 engine of Fiero capable to burst power of 140 ponies and torque of 230 Nm coupled with 4-speed automatic transmission. So don't be fooled by the V12 sticker on the body and the engine cover mockup placed under the glass panel made what you see through the rear window as if a V12 engine.

As quoted of Cars & Bids, it has been owned by the seller since 2015 and has driven only 1,600 km in that time. However, there are many differences in the condition of Fierri when appearing in an episode of Jay Leno's Garage with its condition when offered to auction. Let's see the Jay Leno's Garage video below:
For example, this car failed an emissions test at its last service due to high NOx levels and cannot be registered on public roads in California. In addition, the car's direction indicators and high beams do not work, the rear lights do not turn on when the headlights are on, the trunk is not fixed, the body trim is poorly fitted, the front panel is sagging, and the body is scratched.
This unique Fierri Enzo car creation grown fame for its appearances on the CAR BROS YouTube channel and winning the Concours d'Lemons Worst in Show award. (Picture from: Cars&Bids)
But still, in recent years, some maintenance work on this unusual car has been carried out by the owner. So, for example, new gaskets and exhaust manifold studs were installed, oil and air filters, brake and coolant were replaced, and a catalytic converter was installed.

But one thing is clear that the one who bought this car will have to tinker with this “anti-show car” a lot before getting behind the wheel and, pressing the gas pedal, causing “laughter and tears” of onlookers on the streets of his hometown.
This unique Fierri Enzo car creation is powered by a fake V12 engine, which is an original 2.8-liter V6 engine of Fiero capable to burst power of 140 ponies and torque of 230 Nm. (Picture from: Cars&Bids)
Maybe one day there was a shift in the perception of the car which in the end considered it one of the most beautiful sports cars ever made. But when?😉 What is certain is that the weird Fiero 'Enzo' has now been sold by Cars & Bids back in the 2020 for $5,001. Hey here is another unique car based of Fiero called the Stalker. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CAR BROS | PATREON | CARAKOOM | CARTHROTTLE | AUTOEVOLUTION | CARS&BIDS ]

An unusual and rare collaboration result

Rare ONES We could only shake our heads when we saw this car for the first time on the monitor screen while surfing the internet. How come? To be honest, it could be said that's a kind of an unusual and rare car under the name of McLaren we've ever seen. As usually a McLaren emblemed car always have the connotation of a luxurious and glamorous supercar, that can only be owned or driven by those few can afford such extravagance.
1990 Pontiac Turbo Grand-Prix ASC-McLaren variant that featured tuning and updates from the iconic British automaker. (Picture from: Autoblog)
Uniquely, in the past the existence of this car allowed you to get behind the wheel of a legitimate McLaren without having to drain your bank account. Well, in the 1989 and 1990, there's the Pontiac Grand Prix was offered in a limited edition ASC-McLaren variant that featured tuning and updates from the iconic British automaker.
1990 Pontiac Turbo Grand-Prix ASC-McLaren is powered by a 3.1-liter V6 engine plus a turbocharger that gives such injection of 65 horsepower for a total of 205 ponies and 225 lbs-ft of torque, coupled with four-speed automatic transmission. (Picture from: Autoblog)
As its name suggested, the car is the result of a partnership between American Specialty Cars-McLaren (ASC-McLaren) and Pontiac. It should be noted that the McLaren name here is not associated with the McLaren Formula 1 team or even the iconic McLaren road cars, instead the McLaren connection that stems from the arm of the automaker's powertrain engineering department.
1990 Pontiac Turbo Grand-Prix ASC-McLaren package was priced at $5,000 which brought a series of cool 1980s technology into the Grand Prix's interior, some of which could be said to be very advanced for the time. (Picture from: Autoblog)
The standard Pontiac Grand Prix is powered by a 3.1-liter V6 engine plus a turbocharger that gives such injection of 65 horsepower for a total of 205 ponies and 225 lbs-ft of torque, coupled with four-speed automatic transmission system for channeling the engine powers to the front wheels. The power output numbers is modest by today's standards, and even that's not outrageous by 1990's standards either, but the car has a good enough acceleration capability from still to 60 mph of around 7 seconds.

At that time the ASC-McLaren package was priced at $5,000 which brought a series of cool 1980s technology into the Grand Prix's interior, some of which could be said to be very advanced for the time. The car gets a heads-up display and a digital display on the dashboard.
1990 Pontiac Turbo Grand-Prix ASC-McLaren has soft bucket seats at the front and rear with a distinctive pear shape. (Picture from: Autoblog)
The steering wheel must be familiar to anyone who remembers the high-end Pontiacs of those days, with the entire center of the wheel filled with buttons instead of the airbags we see today. The car has soft bucket seats at the front and rear with a distinctive pear shape. Many sources peg production numbers between 2,500 and 3,500 units, so the car is relatively rare compared to its mass-produced Pontiac counterparts.

As quoted of Autoblog, examples of this rare coupe rarely surface for sale, so it’s surprising to see this low-mile 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix ASC-McLaren on eBay at the priced of $19,351 and this one’s got just 17,746 miles on the clock too, and appears to be in excellent condition. It’s had just two owners and no reported accidents.
The seller notes a little surface rust from the car being in storage so long. As if you compared to the GM cars of this era tended to deteriorate quickly, so a bit of surface rust shouldn’t be a huge issue. The latest info, the listing has ended on June 24, 2022 and the car has been sold.😅 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOBLOG | EBAY ]

Rare model of Isdera Spyder 036i

Rare ONES You may still remember to Isdera, an auto brand that existed in the 1990s owned by a German company called Isdera AG (Ingenieurbüro für Styling). The company itself was a small automotive company based in Leonberg (before moved to Hildesheim), Germany, although not as big as the Bugatti or Lamborghini, Isdera has managed to create a stir (though not big enough) in the supercars world in the 1980s up to 1990s..
The Isdera Spyder 036i is a stylish roofless sports car that are believed secretly built by the Isdera AG. and was first launched in 1987. (Picture from: ExclusiveCarRegestry)
As quoted of Silodrome, the company was founded in 1982 by an automotive designer and engineer named Eberhard Schulz, who had earlier designed the 1969 Erator GTE and the 1978 Mercedes-Benz CW311 concept car. Departing from his disappointment, when Mercedes-Benz was reluctant to produce the CW311, then Schulz decided to set up his own company in order to build his own car.
The Isdera Spyder 036i is known to be an updated version of the Isdera Spyder 033i as in pictured which had been unveiled previously in 1982. (Picture from: Amian-Cars)
Among the cars made by the German manufacturer, it turns out that there is a model that is no less unique than other models. And here is the Isdera Spyder 036i, a stylish roofless sports car that are believed secretly built by those German company and was first launched in 1987.

As we all know the first Isdera Spyder 033i is launched in 1982, would join the Imperator 108i which was the CW311 that was realized in production form in 1984. It also had a tubular steel frame but with a roof and powered by a 5.0-liter Mercedes-Benz V8 engine, then followed by Spyder 033-16 in 1986, and Spyder 036i in 1987.
The interior of the Isdera Spyder 036i has two-seats are finished in black leather with red piping. (Picture from: ExclusiveCarRegestry)
This Spyder 036i could be said an updated version of the Spyder 033i which had been unveiled previously in 1982, and is produced up to 1989. While seen from its designs, the car obviously takes inspiration from its Italian counterparts to build a German supercar that rivals all others.
In the front of the Isdera Spyder 036i's driver gets only a large tachometer fronted by a simple three-spoke steering wheel with the speedo and other primary instruments are housed in the large center stack. (Picture from: ExclusiveCarRegestry)
The exterior of the Spyder 036i is dominant using sharp wedge-shaped corners to penetrate the air beautifully. Apart from that, this car will be perfect for high speed corners and road racing situations as the aerodynamics will keep it firmly on the ground.
The Isdera Spyder 036i is powered by a mid-mounted Mercedes-Benz M103 inline-six with a displacement of 3.0 liters, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transaxle. (Picture from: ExclusiveCarRegestry)

The engineering, styling, performance, and handling of the Spyder 036i has been winning its fans' hearts for decades. The key issue for enthusiasts is that they’re expensive and exceedingly rare, with just 17 units believed ever been made.😕 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ISDERA | SILODROME | CARSCOOPS | JALOPNIK | SUPERCARS.NET | BRINGATRAILER | AMIAN-CARS | EXCLUSIVECARREGESTRY ]

One-off Japanese-made Mantaray concept

Cool CREATIONS Some time ago while surfing the internet, we met a unique roadster whose at a glance similar to Batmobile on the Funatic_Airline's status on Twitter. At first we had a hard time looking for it all over the internet due to our ignorance regarding the name of the car in Japanese which translates into English as 'Barry Foo Mantarei.' Automatically when we searched with such key-words, there are no results that match to the car whose image is posted on Twitter.🤔
The Bally Hoo Mantaray is designed by Tetsuharu Kawakami of Ballyhoo Custom for Kamiaki Yoshii, and built based on the rare Renault Sport Spider of 1999. (Picture from: Funatic_Airline's status on Twitter)
In short, after knowing the real name of the car is Bally Hoo Mantaray, then we dig up information about the car's origin. Now, let's discuss a little about this unique roadster. As quoted from Wikipedia, the customized roadster is known to have been built by Tetsuharu Kawakami, a Japanese artist, motorcycle and car builder who is also the owner of the Bally Hoo Custom Motorcycle.
The Bally Hoo Mantaray's first appeared in yellow color while exhibited at the 2016 Tokyo Motor Show. (Picture from: TopGear)
Still quoted from the same source, this extraordinary customized car (at least in our opinion) was knew belong to Kamiaki Yoshii, and built based on Renault Sport Spider of 1999. For your info, this donor car is rare car model produced during 1996 to 1999 by Renault Sport (subsdiary of French' auto brand Renault) in only 1,700 units worldwide while the unit that was later customized to be the Mantaray is 1 of 700 units sold in Japan, so that's not a random car.
The Bally Hoo Mantaray's body was built using Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Carbon Fiber, where the front is designed to resemble the shape of the mouth from Mantaray. (Picture from: Option.Tokyo)
The mentioned donor car was purchased by Kamiaki Yoshii in 2014 which then sent it to the Bally Hoo Custom workshop in Atsagi, Kanagawa to be customized as it looks today. According to the automaker the car design was inspired by the world's largest stingray called Mantaray, which also later adopted as the name of the customized car.
The Ballyhoo Mantaray's final looks has been changed by installing the separated windscreen and repainted dominantly in blue pearl, which based on black, while the first yellow color is only left in the side ducts. (Picture from: Gazoo)
When the Bally Hoo Mantaray is finished, then exhibited for the first time at the 2016 Tokyo Motor Show, at the event it appeared in yellow, which is the Renault's typical color. Now the Mantaray has been repainted dominantly in blue pearl, which based on black to represent the color of those massive sea creature, while the first yellow color is only left on the side ducts.

This custom car body was built using Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Carbon Fiber, where the front is designed to resemble the shape of the mouth from Mantaray. Because there is a change in the engine layout that was moved to the back, so the front cowl was converted into the car's trunk, and has a reverse opening structure like the Miura.
The Ballyhoo Mantaray's cabin has two seats are integrated with the body, then on the dashboard attached a special-made speedometer, including several instrument panels installed there. (Picture from: Option.Tokyo)
In the building process of this custom car is used many components taken from various other vehicle parts. Besides that, in its final looks, the Mantaray has also been changed by installing the separated windscreen (each on the driver and passenger sides), and uniquely, then on the screen's frame is mounted with rearview mirror on each sides.

Then there is a carbon fiber air intake installed between the separeted windscreen has a function to flow air to rears. There are two holes of the air intakes, and the wind during driving is used instead of the air conditioner. When winter comes, those two holes of the air intakes is closed and radiator heat is released to the feet through the pipe replace the heater.
The Ballyhoo Mantaray is powered by the Renault Sport Spider's original engine, a 1,988 cc inline horizontal 4 cylinder mid-mounted engine. (Picture from: Option.Tokyo)
On the front fender is installed turn signal lights, which on one of them on the passenger side was equipped with a camera. While the side ducts is made of carbon fiber with a shape similar to a manta ray's wing and is painted in yellow which was the car's first color.

Meanwhile at rear, there're two tunnels have been built in the rear cowl to solve the problem that heat tends to be trapped in the engine, which was one of the disadvantages of the base car with the shark fins also are installed between the tunnels to regulate better airflow.

The Mantaray' cabin has two seats are integrated with the body. Then on the dashboard attached a special-made speedometer, including several instrument panels installed there. The steering is also one-off and made of all carbon, plus a screen monitor is attached to the center console to capture the image of the side camera.

So what about the powertrain? The Bally Hoo Mantaray concept is powered by the Renault Sport Spider's original engine, a 1,988 cc inline horizontal 4 cylinder mid-mounted engine, which capable of producing a maximum power of 150 PS at 6,000 rpm.
By looking at its overall appearance, in Our opinion, the Bally Hoo's car creation worthy to be the next-Batmobile (at least for Batman while he visited in Japan). Just kidding.😀Or Might be You willing to see another Japanese compact-sized sports cars which also was not widely known by the public before such the Suzusho Suppase V*** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | S.RESPONSE.JP| WIKIPEDIA | GAZOO | TOPGEAR ]

Here's a well-designed compact lightweight sports car by a Japanese small automaker

Compact ONES Still from Japan, a while ago when we surfed the internet and came across a picture of a unique sports car that we had never seen before. It made by a Japanese automotive company called Suzusho Inc., which known as a formerly car importer and used-racer dealer. But in 2004, they were authorized as a car/kit car manufacturer and started selling their original Lotus Super Seven-like roadster.

Well, the car in question is the Suzusho Supasse V whose first appeared at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. As quoted of Supercars.Net, the Supasse V is the second car of the company's very high-performance closed sports car after the Supasse (which is a replica of the Lotus Super Seven).
Suzusho Supasse V is a compact two-seater lightweight 850 kg coupé is built based on an aluminium monocoque chassis with a steel tube sub frame. (Picture from: Supercars.net)
As we all know, Toshio Suzuki, the company founder and director is a former racer, since 2000 he along with his two sons and professional staffs have been designing and manufacturing sports cars by using 3D CAD systems.

This unique car was designed by Kenji Mimura who is well known auto designer in Japan for Le Mans-spec 2007 Dome S102 racing cars. The car's design is said to combine various elements taken from several sports cars, such as the proportions and basic layout of the Lotus Exige, the side window design, and the door opening system from the Ferrari Enzo, plus the rear-ends from the Pagani Zonda.

Suzusho Supasse V has a racing-styled steering wheel with a simple arrangement dashboard, and displays conventional gauges and buttons. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
As we could be seen, the car's rear sub frame is bolt on and is easily replaceable. So it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the Supasse V is the closest thing on the road that is equal to a competitive racing car which we can be seen at the Le Mans and many other circuits.
Suzusho Supasse V is powered by a Mazda-derived 2.3-liter turbo rear-mounted engine delivering 270 hp of power, and is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. (Picture from: CarScoops)
As quoted of CarBodyDesign, the automaker said that the design of the 2-seater lightweight coupé was inspired by British and Italian sports cars. Furthermore, the Supasse V is powered by a Mazda-derived 2.3-liter turbo rear-mounted engine delivering 270 hp of power, and is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. The packaging and overall design looks very good and it has the potential for more powerful versions or racecar derivatives.
According to the unofficial information about the Suzusho Supasse V at the car expo, that says it would go on sale in middle 2010 with a price tags in between $50,000 and $80,000. But unfortunately there's no more info after the show ended.😢 Well, if you have related information to this Supasse V sports car, don't hesitate to share with us via the comments column below the article.💖 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SUPERCARS.NET EVO.CO.UK | CARBODYDESIGN | CARSCOOPS | AUTO123 | MOTORTREND ]

You may not know this Nissan road-legal car was one of the best in its time

SuperBEAST Throughout our browsing on the internet some time ago, we found the Nissan R390 GT1 picture on the Electric Blue's status on Tweeter. From there, we saw clearly that's such a kind of the successful conversion example of a racing car into a road-legal vehicle, though that the car was is not widely known by the public.
Maybe not many people know the Nissan R390 GT1 variant as the Nissan's fast car besides the Nissan GT-R. (Picture from: Electric Blue's status on Tweeter)
That's true, maybe not many people know the Nissan R390 GT1 variant, and are more familiar with the figure of the Nissan GT-R as Nissan's fast car. It's natural, because the Japanese automaker designed and built the mentioned car in the late 1990s to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT1 category. If it weren't for the Gran Turismo racing games, the Nissan R390 GT1 would likely be the most unknown supercar to the gamers and carlovers alike around the globe.
The one-off  Nissan R390 GT1 road-use version is attended at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2022 held on the beautifully shores of Lake Como in Italy. (Picture from: Id.Motor1)
As quoted from Motor1, the supercar designed by Ian Callum is built in a right-hand steering configuration, and is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 mid-mounted engine in-collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing coupled with a pair of turbochargers like a supercar in general. It produced only 10 for competition between 1997 and 1998, the Nissan R390 GT1 has a single homologated example for road use.

The Nissan R390 GT1 road-use version's interior is simple, basically it has the same instrument as any street sports car and leather covered sports seats. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
The engine capable to churn out power of 550 horsepower and a maximum torque of 470 lbs.ft (637 Nm). Output is sent to the rear axle via a six-speed sequential transmission with a short-throw shift lever to propel the car it accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of up to 315 kph.
The one-off  Nissan R390 GT1 road-use version is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 mid-mounted engine in-collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing coupled with a pair of turbochargers like a supercar in general. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
Still quoted from Motor1, indeed the car is not perfect, also known to have shortcomings, such as a very low driving height factor that makes it quite difficult to drive on public roads. But it seems that it will have absolutely no effect to make the Nissan R390 GT1 as one of the extraordinary supercars of its time.
The one-off  Nissan R390 GT1 road-use version has a length of 185.8 inches (4.7 meters) and a width of 78.7 inches (2 meters), with the weight of car is the same as the Mazda MX-5 Miata. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
And the Nissan R390 GT1 was converted into a road-legal vehicle, before the next racing version launched in 1998. Furthermore, it's said such a big-sized car with a length of 185.8 inches (4.7 meters) and a width of 78.7 inches (2 meters), with the weight of car is the same as the Mazda MX-5 Miata. Too bad Nissan never built it as its mass produced cars. If it's made, its estimated cost around US $1 millions each.
The one-off  Nissan R390 GT1 road-use version appeared in white coupled with its signature double-sided exhaust tip embellished with several accesories washed in red, such as large spoiler, rear mirrors, and side air vents. (Picture from: TheNationUpdate)
And some time ago, there's a white dominant colored Nissan R390 GT1 appeared at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2022 held on the beautifully shores of Lake Como in Italy. This Nissan fiercest-performanced supercar of 90s attended the event with its signature double-sided exhaust tip embellished with several accesories washed in red, such as large spoiler, rear mirrors, and side air vents, while making an enchanting beautifully V8 roaring.
As if to show the audience after almost 25 years hiden, turn out the Nissan R390 GT1 still has something special. FYI, this unique R390 GT1 is currently stored at Nismo's Zama warehouse. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NISSAN MOTOR CORPORATION | ID.MOTOR1 | AUTOEVOLUTION | THENATIONUPDATE | NEWNISSANNZ ]

A surprise gift of Giorgetto Giugiaro's 70th birthday

Special GIFT In automotive history, the name of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro is very well known since he was still working for Carrozzeria Bertone, then Ghia until founded his own company with many car design works from various brands, even some of them became legendary cars.
Giorgetto Giugiaro recieved a surprise gift on his 70th Birthday private party from his son Fabrizio of a full-sized styling model of the last car he designed at Bertone. (Picture from: MotorAuthority)
One of them may be this never-before-seen design made by Giorgetto Giugiaro for Lamborghini in the 1960s. This design work was created by him while still worked for Carrozzeria Bertone and was originally intended for the Bizzarrini sportscar.
The car is significant because it eventually became the Lamborghini Miura (left), which is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful sports cars Lamborghini has ever made.. (Picture from: AutomotiveNewsEurope)
Because he moved to work for Ghia, the design was offered by then Bertone' CEO, Nucio Bertone to Lamborghini. And the design completed by his successor at Bertone, Marcello Gandini into what would become we know today as a legendary mid-engine sportscar named the Lamborghini Miura, which debuted at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show.

As we all know that today  the Lamborghini Miura could be considered one of the most beautiful sports cars Lamborghini has ever done and Giorgetto’s contribution to the car is often overlooked.

As times went by, the original design sketches were found by his son Fabrizio when looking through his fathers old papers and so decided to create a full size mock-up secretly for his fathers 70th birthday surprise gift in August 7, 2008. The car model was on display during a private party at Giorgetto’s home in the hills of Turin on September 20.

After leaving Carrozzeria Ghia, Giorgetto Giugiaro opened his own design studio named Italdesign Giugiaro in February, 1968. In 2010, as much as 90.1% of his company stakes was bought by Lamborghini, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group. And followed in 2015, Giorgetto sold the remaining stake to Audi, so otomatically together with his son Fabrizio should left Italdesign. In the same year, they also founded new studio named GFG Style. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOMOTIVENEWSEUROPE | CLASSICANDRECREATIONSPORTSCARS | CARSTYLINGRU | MOTORAUTHORITY | ID.MOTOR1 ]
