Oxo-biodegrable technology makes plastic so easy to decompose

Application of Oxo-Biodegradable technology capable of making plastic so easy to decompose that make plastic became more environmentally friendly. "Oxo-biodegrable technology is able to make plastic is environmentally friendly and safe for groceries," said Head of Marketing Department of Sinar Joyoboyo Plastics, Gilang Yogantoro, on Monday, July 13, 2015.

He explains in Ramadan (Muslim fasting month) the plastic consumption is increasing, but unfortunately many traders who do not understand about the safety of plastic that is used to wrap food.
Can plastic really be eco-friendly? (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1GT9JtB)
"Often, we found the food vendors are still using plastic bags are not safe because it comes from recycled materials," he added. Plastic is not safe for food packaging, especially in hot conditions such as meatball soup, noodle soup, porridge and various types of fried hot.

Relatively high temperatures that come from foods may help the migration of plastic chemicals into the food. Migration is the movement of hazardous chemical substances obtained from packaging into foodstuffs, which is influenced by four factors namely the speed of migration, the food, the type of plastic material and temperature, as well as the length of exposure.

Gilang explain one of the harmful substances found in plastics are not safe for food is a substance Ptalat Dioctyl. Those substance store benzene, a chemical solution that is difficult to digest in the human digestive tract. Benzene also can not be excreted through feces or urine, as a result of these substances are increasingly piled up and wrapped by body fat and can trigger cancer.

General Manager of Joyoboyo Plastics, Handoko Sidhartha, said it carried out the safe plastic education for the communities in Central and West Java throughout Ramadan 1436 H. "The goal is to educate and increase public insight on the plastics according to the type and function through the campaign of 'Kenali Plastikmu or Know Your Plastics'," Handoko said. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ANTARA NEWS]

Four-legged snake fossil found in Brazil

A four-legged snake fossil is 113 million years old discovered in Brazil. Fossils like this is the first visits of scientists and estimated were the ancestors of today's snakes and named Tetrapodophis Amplectus.

Its hands and feet were allegedly not used to walking and swimming, but it may help it gripping prey and dig. These findings was reinforced the assumption that snakes evolved on land. The longstanding debate among palaeontologists, and the researchers say that the less evidence of sea snakes evolved from reptiles.
The 20 cm snake lived about 113 million years ago, at the same time as many dinosaurs. (Picture from: http://bbc.in/1HZMj7M)
"This is the most primitive snake fossil, and it was clear this was not living in the water," said Dr. Nick Longrich of the University of Bath, one of the researchers of the study. Speaking to the BBC's Science in Action, Longrich explained, these creatures do not have a tail shaped like a paddle to swim and has no signs of fins.

Meanwhile, a long trunk and short snout is a feature commonly found in animals digger. Longrich even see a snake-like organ, such as crooked teeth, jaw and spine flexible, even scales like a snake.
The snake's legs were just a few millimetres long. (Picture from: http://bbc.in/1HZMj7M)
"Can not be denied it was a snake. It's just that, with small arms and legs," he said. Its Sleeve 4 mm and 7 mm feet, according to Longrich, not used for walking, but for grasping prey.

The weak grip that may also be used at the time of marriage is the source of the name of the species, namely Tetrapodophis, which means four-legged snake, and Amplectus, which is the Latin word meaning to embrace.
Judging by its stomach contents, the snake's final meal was a small, unfortunate vertebrate. (Picture from: http://bbc.in/1HZMj7M)
Dr Bruno Simoes who study the evolution of vision serpent in the Natural History Museum in London said it was impressed by this discovery because of the arms and legs were well preserved snake and looked well developed.

"It is surprising because it seemed very close to the snake group today," he said. And Dr Simoes also said, the fossil of this and several other new findings provide evidence that snakes evolved on land. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BBC]

As quoted from Autoevolution on Monday, July 20, 2015, Nissan 370 Z of Aimgain works look fatter than the standard car after being given an extra body of plastic material that is glued together using bolts. It is characteristic of the rocket bunny.

Nissan 370Z rocket bunny body coated using a combination of white with black on the front splitter, rear difusser and side skirts. To be more cool, the roof of the factory defaults changed using canvas material with maroon color.

The Nissan's rocket bunny concept that makes the car body stretched 5.5 inches, or approximately 13.97 centimeters appears to correspond to a selected deep-dish wheels model. Interestingly, the two right side rim coated in white paint, while the two on the left using the color black.

Beware, five of human trivial habits could destroy our Earth!

Currently, the rate of extinction of living species on Earth is increasingly alarming, about 1,000 times worse than it should be. And it is not wrong if the scientists continue to promote environmental protection.

However, we are as humans, do not bother to do the difficult things to save the environment, because there are some trivial habits that could have been avoided because they were able to destroy the nature. Here are some examples.

1. Eat with chopsticks
It turns out the use of chopsticks can have a major impact on the environment. Based on research, the forests of China suffered severe damage because of the wood used to make chopsticks.
Chopsticks uses. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1MoLs5H)
Well-founded, because every year China could produce up to 80 billion chopsticks per year! And to make tens of billions of chopsticks, it takes about 20 million trees are decades old, which in essence is very useful to preserve nature.

2. Throw the birth control pill haphazardly
Based on research from the University of New Brunswick in 2014, birth control pills are disposed of carelessly had polluted waters, such as rivers and lakes in America. Ironically, the substances contained in the birth control pill was able to change the male fish into females!

If it continues to happen, the scientists predict that the number of fish species extinct due to the absence of marriage (because all the male fish into females) will increase dramatically.

3. Drinking through a plastic straw
Do you know if in America alone, every day 500 million straws thrown in the trash? Ironically, it makes the beaches polluted with plastic straws trash.
Plastic straws are considered dangerous because they are lightweight and made of polipropylen that can not be broken down by nature. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1MoLs5H)
According to scientists, plastic straws are considered dangerous because they are lightweight and made of polipropylen that can not be broken down by nature. It is estimated that, worldwide, there are 12-24 tonnes of waste plastic straws that pollutes the land until the waters every year.

4. Wash the hands with antibacterial soap
Anti-bacterial soaps usually contain triclosan chemicals which, when rinsed can be 'stranded' to waters such as rivers. Problems began when triclosan it decomposes due to natural processes.

From the research data of Johns Hopkins University Center for Water and Health, triclosan will break down into two types of chemicals that are carcinogens cause cancer alias. Rest of triclosan shown to cause severe diseases in animals are still young, for example rodents and amphibians group. Premature death animals if not treated immediately predicted to end up with extinction.

5. Do not spend on food
Maybe this sounds like a childish, but do you know if every human year, leaving 1.3 billion tons of leftover food and ultimately into the trash? If the total, do not spend on food habits can make human beings lose up to US. $750 billion per year! It was also the same as the wasted 28 percent of agricultural products around the world. In fact, out there around 870 million people still suffer from hunger.
Do not spend on food. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1MoLs5H)
The problem, to produce all the food that ultimately disiakan waste, humans have exploited nature. Demand for agricultural land made forest areas should be cleared up other environmental damage. Quite ironic is not it? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MERDEKA.COM]

The reasons of Uranus's weird sideways orbit

In the Solar System, each planet shaft rotation more or less pointing toward the north sky, such as the Earth's axis. However Uranus, the seventh planet in our Solar System is different. This planet moves in space by tilted rotating on its axis of rotation which is almost on the level of its orbit. Uranus has an axis slope of almost 90°, ie 82°08'.
Uranus. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1fqSj1C)
One explanation for this odd state is Uranus tilted compelled in the past, when an other celestial bodies collided. Remnants of this devastating collision may have formed the moons and the rings of the planet then. However, the Voyager 2 mission did not find any evidence to support those theory or propose another theory.

Stages that support the theory that there is a collision of celestial bodies:
1. Powerful Collision
Planet Uranus growing much in the past hit by a planet-sized celestial bodies, about the size of Earth. Collision occurred at the near one pole of the planet Uranus so it becomes skewed.

2. Cloud Crunch
Violent clash tilt Uranus and crushes its impactor so that planet shrouded BY cloud of water vapor and crushed stone.

3. Cloud becomes the Rings
Water vapor cloud, rock, and gas that envelops Uranus slowly organize themselves into orbit around the planet's equator. This orbiting finally crumbled into rings and moons of Uranus.

4. Uranus

The Voyager 2 spacecraft discovered two thin rings in addition to nine rings which can be seen from Earth. It was also found 10 tiny Moons in addition to the five Moons of which have been previously known. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NATIONAL GEOGRAHIC]
