Aspark Owl: The Japanese Electric Hypercar Breaking Acceleration Records

Zero-Boom - In a world where speed and style often belong to the playground of European giants like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bugatti, it’s easy to overlook what’s happening outside the continent. But every once in a while, someone steps onto the stage and shakes things up. This time, that someone is Aspark—a Japanese company that quietly, yet boldly, rewrote the rulebook for electric hypercars with a machine that looks like it flew in from the future: the Aspark Owl.

At first glance, “Aspark” doesn’t sound particularly Japanese. But behind the name is a company with deep roots in advanced technology. Before venturing into the world of high-speed dreams, Aspark had made its mark in the manufacturing of medical devices and robotics. With this background, they didn’t just dip a toe into the hypercar pool—they cannonballed in. Their debut? A vehicle that not only challenged industry standards but dared to claim a spot among the world’s most extreme performance cars.
The Aspark Owl made its first dramatic appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, and since then, the automotive world hasn’t stopped talking. It’s not just the jaw-dropping design or the promise of zero emissions that turned heads—it’s the blistering acceleration that put every other hypercar on alert. According to Aspark, the Owl can rocket from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a staggering 1.8 seconds. For context, that’s faster than a Bugatti Chiron and even edges out the Tesla Roadster’s impressive figures. In the race to instant speed, the Owl is soaring ahead.

What makes this kind of acceleration possible is a powerful all-electric drivetrain producing an astonishing 430 horsepower and 563 lb-ft of torque. But raw power is only part of the equation. The Owl’s body is constructed entirely from carbon fiber, wrapped around a custom lightweight chassis. The result? A total weight of just 1,875 pounds. With such a light frame and a ton of electric muscle, the Owl doesn’t just go fast—it disappears.

Visually, the Aspark Owl looks like a love letter to both modern and classic design. Its sweeping, low-slung body draws inspiration from sleek icons like the Fisker Karma and early-model Ferraris. Standing only 39 inches tall, it hugs the ground with aerodynamic precision. While getting in and out might be a challenge due to its ultra-low profile, every curve and contour serves a purpose—managing airflow to cut through the wind with minimal resistance.

The innovation continues inside and around the vehicle. Instead of conventional side mirrors, the Owl uses camera systems, similar to what you'd see in high-end concepts from McLaren or BMW’s i8. The doors? They’re butterfly-style, opening dramatically upward to welcome driver and passenger into a cockpit that feels more like a spaceship than a car.

Aspark
didn’t rush the Owl into existence. Development began in 2014, and years of research, engineering, and testing led to the prototype we see today. Even though it made a splash at its first appearance, the company has taken a deliberate pace with production and marketing, choosing to refine the machine rather than rush it to market. It's clear that for Aspark, this isn't just about selling a car—it's about making a statement.
Now, with electric hypercars becoming more than just experimental dreams, the Aspark Owl stands tall—or rather, low and wide—as Japan’s bold answer to Europe’s dominance in the performance car world. It’s proof that with vision, technology, and the courage to try something extraordinary, even a newcomer can take flight in a sky already filled with legends. (Wanna see the production version hypercar). *** [EKA [25072018] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NEW ATLAS | AUTOEXPRESS ]

Is this Honda hypercar figure ready to show off in 2020?

In mid-2017 Honda is one of Japan's leading automotive manufacturers has released All-new Honda NSX, a supercar that can be driven as a daily vehicle. This car is still comfortable to use on the streets, by using a relatively efficient engine and transmission system that looks normal for a car that exists today.
Honda Invisus Concept offers high performance like a hypercar car made specifically only for racing purpose. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2NztQZq)
But Honda has yet to have plans to create a hypercar in the near future. This does not discourage step and intention of an automotive designer named Leonardo Nitole Moreira who has a pretty much brilliant ideas to create an imaginary figure of Honda hypercar that has a figure no longer the same as the current NSX.
Interior view of Honda Invisus Concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2NztQZq)
Yes, no doubt this is a crazy concept car showing how hardcore these Honda hypercar would look if it was produced in 2020. The hypercar is called Honda Invisus Concept is made specifically only for racing purpose in the circuits, like Aston Martin Vulcan or Ferrari FXX K. The hypercar has an impressive front fascia offering as well as slim LED lights that are positioned over several large air intakes.
Front three quarter view of Honda Invisus Concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2NztQZq)
To make the lane light possible, the carbon fiber is widely used and the body is sculpted into a tubular chassis. The large wing and rear diffuser dominate the rear to produce a racing car with a qualified downforce level. It is estimated that Honda Invisus Concept will use a V8 engine that will proudly look ferocious from behind its engine hood.
Rear view of Honda Invisus Concept. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2NztQZq)
The interior is made dramatic like a racing car cabin as usual. The elements of carbon fiber material meet almost the entire area of the cabin with red accents, and the steering wheel seems to take inspiration from the S2000 or Supra touring car.
But unfortunately there is no more information about the peak power of this hypercar. But if we look at the performance of its competitors that exist today, it will not be far or close to 1,000 horsepower.

That's only the wild idea of an automotive designer, nothing more we can do now and let's wait whether Honda is interested to make it happen near future.. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1]

Italdesign Zerouno: The Rare Supercar That Redefined Exclusivity

Exquisite Rarity - When people talk about dream cars, the conversation usually circles around familiar names like Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Bugatti. But every now and then, a new figure quietly enters the spotlight and reminds us that automotive design is still full of surprises. Back in 2017, the world witnessed the arrival of a machine that didn’t just look like a supercar but carried the spirit of exclusivity in its DNAZerouno, the very first supercar officially wearing the Italdesign badge. Even today, it remains one of those rare gems that collectors whisper about with a sense of awe.

The debut took place at the prestigious Salon Privé Supercar Show in the UK, an event known for gathering some of the most extravagant and unique cars on the planet. Between August 31 and September 2 of that year, at the elegant Blenheim Palace, Italdesign unveiled a creation that instantly captured attention. The Zerouno was more than just a fast car; it was a statement of design excellence and rarity, considering only five examples were ever produced. For many enthusiasts who attended, it might have been their only chance to witness such a rare creation in person.

Italdesign itself is no stranger to automotive icons. Founded in the late 1960s, the Italian design house has shaped cars for brands that defined generationsBugatti, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Lancia, to name just a few. Now under the ownership of Lamborghini, Italdesign decided it was finally time to showcase a creation of its own, one that blended half a century of experience into a single rolling sculpture. The result was a supercar that looked futuristic, drove like a race machine, and carried a sense of exclusivity so strong that even among collectors, it became a talking point.
Rear view of All-new Italdesign Zerouno supercar. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
At the heart of the Zerouno is a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a powertrain capable of launching the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Its top speed pushes close to 350 km/h, numbers that place it firmly in the territory of established supercars. But the Zerouno isn’t just about speed—it’s about how it achieves it. The body and modular chassis are entirely crafted from carbon fiber, a material choice that not only reduces weight but also amplifies the car’s presence with razor-sharp edges and aerodynamic precision

Aerodynamics, in fact, became the soul of the Zerouno’s design. Italdesign introduced an innovative feature known as the Y Duct®, a system integrated into the car’s nose. Airflow is directed through a central gap, split into a Y-shaped channel, and then expelled through two openings on the bonnet. The result is improved downforce and stability, ensuring that the Zerouno feels planted whether it’s sprinting on a straight or carving through corners. This was Italdesign showing that beauty and function can coexist seamlessly.
Automotive entrepreneur and car collector, the Belgian businessman first took chassis #0001 for a 100-kilometer drive around Italdesign’s headquarters. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
What makes the Zerouno even more remarkable is the attention to individuality. With only five units produced in 2017, Italdesign allowed each buyer to personalize their car extensively. From optional full-carbon finishes to Corsa racing packages, no two cars were destined to be identical. The very first chassis, numbered #0001, found its home with Belgian entrepreneur and collector Steven Lismont in October 2017, marking the beginning of the Zerouno’s journey into automotive folklore.
Looking back now, years after its launch, the Zerouno remains more than just another addition to the supercar world. It symbolizes a moment when a design house decided to step out from behind the curtain and sign its name proudly on a creation of its own. For collectors and enthusiasts, it’s a reminder that sometimes the most extraordinary stories in the automotive world don’t come from the most obvious names, but from the courage to create something truly different. The Zerouno is rare, bold, and unforgettable—exactly what a supercar should be. *** [EKA [23072018] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEVOLUTION | BLACKXPERIENCE ]

Although this car is not too focused on performance, but it still has a fairly impressive engine under the hood. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus insists this model will use a 650 Hp powered engine mounted in front. This machine will be accompanied by a 6 speed manual transmission system or "paddle rear transaxle."
Rear view sketch of SCG 006. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2msDUaW)
The first image of the car depicts the Spyder variant, but the SCG 006 will also be offered as a coupe as well as a GT4 variant in the future. About the price, this car may be very expensive, because the basic version of the SCG 004S has priced starts from US. $400,000. Ofcourse it is not cheap, but the SCG 006 will look much more affordable than some of the Ferrari 275 versions currently known to be worth more than US. $10 million.

But for now, we'll just have to wait patiently for further news and enjoy these concept drawings. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ROAD&ASPHALT]
