A crazy Tuk tuk with Honda's engine

Imagine, if a Tuk tuk rickshaw, a Bajaj three-wheeled vehicle that has a distinctive voice and black smoke complete with the orange color, turn into a super vehicle with an engine of 600 cc. Not kidding, it be realized with a creative touch.

Colinfurze who describes himself a British stuntman, inventor, until the entertainer, has uploaded a video on YouTube about the process of converting a Bajaj three-wheeled vehicles became a big powered vehicles.

Then he recorded all of his activity start on the original machine disposal, cutting the body, to install the supporting spare parts. Interestingly, the selected machine is owned by Honda CBR600RR, a little monster with the ability of spraying the power up to 100 hp as well as use liquid cooling system.
Its chassis modified to suit the dimensions of the new machine. Its body glance looks the same, still with the orange color. But its voice? Far different. Unfortunately, there is no performance data during this vehicle running on the street, so there is still much debate about the ability of this Bajaj-Honda vehicle combination. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | KOMPAS OTOMOTIF]

Apollo Arrow finally revealed

Still remember the Gumpert Apollo is forced to halt its development due to financial problems? Now, Roland Gumpert has finally received fresh funding from China. But not a problem because the company finally able to walk again and the Gumpert renamed became Apollo. Just simply change the name? well, check out this one.
The Apollo Arrow hypercar is Gumpert's glorious resurrection. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Y2fOq)
The latest model of the hottest we've ever talked about when they show you the teaser is this car's figure. This model is called the Apollo Arrow and compared to the Gumpert Apollo that looks like nineties supercar, but the Apollo Arrow has a futuristic looks and handsome handsome.

But this is not a fierce view only because of their clever design, but also want to minimize the drag coefficient, improving the ratio of downforce and of course maximize cooling. In appearance it is sharp, length and decent with the name it bears.

But as a hypercar, then this model should be very, very light and very, very wild. The first thing to do is to use carbon bodyshell for more leverage, the results achieved with a target weight of about 1,300 kg.

With a design that increases downforce, this hypercar is also more agile in curves at high speed conditions. Oh yes this car still has a great gullwing doors as its trademark which is reflected in the Gumpert Apollo before.

After we talking about weight part, now we talking about the performance of the engine, as hypercar to generate power up to 1,000 hp. Unfortunately it is not a plug-in hybrid like the competitors that exist today, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Ferrari La Ferrari. Only by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the power of 1,000 hp obtained with a torque of 1,000 Nm that is synchronized with the dual clutch transmission CIMA 7-speed.
The result, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h only takes 2.9 seconds and to reach 200 km/h only takes 8.8 seconds. And what about the top speed? The car has a top speed reached of 360 km/h, that's similar with the Lamborghini Cetenario who also recently appeared in Geneva.

Although only limited introduction at the Geneva Motor Show 2016, this car has been claimed as a road legal car and also qualified by FIA. This means the Apollo Automobil could be registering the Arrow for GT racing homologation. What do you think? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | WORLDCARFANS]

Unique wooden motorcycle made by Urang Bandung

One of the most exciting motorcycle that participated in the Honda Modif Contest (HMC) 2016 for Bandung region, is a motorcycle that is mostly made of wood.

This unique motorcycle competed in the class of choppy-cub production under 2006. From the front, start from mirrors, headlights (which no lights), shock, and additional baskets made of wood. Its design more interesting because there are ornate of the chess pieces on the end of the fender.

As quoted of Liputan6.com, its frame was also made of bamboo. However, it is unknown if it was really only bamboo, or is there metal component in it. Until now, we  do not known who was the modifier.

The seat is also made of wood and bamboo. There is also woven thick with the Sundanese feel. The wooden motorcycle is equipped with three exhausts. Various cable wound using a rattan so in harmony with other parts.
The motorcycle is actually functioning and its machine can live and drive the wheels as motorcycles in general. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Y3Lwy)
One of the elements that are still made of metal is its engine parts. Of course, in addition to the engine, the motorcycle parts that similar to the other motorcycle in general is the tires, which is still made of rubber.

Although seemingly just a display items, but the motorcycle is actually functioning. The machine can live and drive the wheels as motorcycles in general. At least, in the first 300 meters of which is one of the requirements to participate in this contest. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LIPUTAN6]

Seeing a short-lived masterpiece of Suzuki

Did you ever heard the Suzuki RE5? Yes, it is the only one of motorcycles manufactured by Suzuki in the period 1974-1976 which uses the Rotary machine is often called the Wankel engine that created by a German engineer named Felix Wankel (1954).

At the end of 1973 at the Tokyo Show, Suzuki introduced its new production called Suzuki RE5 that use Rotary engine. The motorcycle is a work or even a 'flagship' masterpiece of the Suzuki engineers in that time who's successfully developed the rotary engine design after got the approval license from the NSU/Wankel in 1970.

The model of rotary engine has many advantages in terms of technical compared to a conventional engine, the power generated more smoothly in the early rounds as the rotor rotates (not vertical or horizontal), its torque more finer also lead to lack of vibration and less of engine components because it does not use chamshaft, valve and other moving parts.

Rotary Engine is an early type of internal combustion engines, which are designed with rotor in a radial configuration in which the crankshaft remains stationary and the entire rotor is rotated around it. Rotary engine combustion chamber is formed between the cavity made in the surface of the rotor to the housing surface. Because the rotor has three side surface of the cavity, then the combustion chamber at the rotary engine rotates in the direction of rotation of the rotor.

At that time, only several motorcycle manufacturers make prototypes using this engine type, but only Suzuki who successfully made it to the mass product. Overall, the design of Suzuki RE5 is not as revolutionary as the engine. The instrument panel has a speedometer and rear lights cylindrical rotary tailored to the theme, at first glance similar to the design of the Suzuki GT750. This motor has a specially designed exhaust shielded and refrigerated, because the rotary engine exhaust gas tends to make the exhaust pipe is hot enough to burn the rider feet.

But ... With all the above advantages, turned out to the Suzuki RE5 did not receive a good response in terms of sales. Perhaps, the consumers are less interested in the technology used on this bike. Or maybe they do not like how greedy its fuel consumption.

In 1976, Suzuki conducted minor changes, such as replacement speedometer instrument panel and rear lights using ordinary model remains unable to raise the sales charts. And finally in 1977, the production of engines and motorcycles were discontinued. A tragic ending for a Suzuki technology masterpiece. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BLACKCAT200]
