The most extreme one-off Ferrari supercar ever designed

Creating a new and modern prototype concept on a Ferrari sports car is an ambitious and complex venture. However, not only enthusiasm, but also requires specific input from the clients.
The most extreme Ferrari's one-off supercar ever designed called Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2KHkX3e)
Because of this, the Maranello-based auto manufacturer only produces one unit of the Ferrari P80/C, built at the Ferrari Stilo Centro facility under the direction of Flavio Manzoni supported by the high skilled engineering and aerodynamic team and works together with the clients. By sharing principles and vision, to create a new 'Hero Car' with a truly unique soul and authentic DNA.

The clients in question is someone who is an expert in the world of Ferrari, has came from a family of fans and admirers of the prancing horse logoed car for a long time, and he himself is a smart and knowledgeable Ferrari collector. Thus he is the perfect partner in challenging projects like this that require an intensive level of interaction and emotional involvement as well.
Final design sketch of the one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2v9qmFY)
The basic idea of the client is to create a modern sports car prototype inspired by iconic models in Ferrari's history, such as: Ferrari 330 P3/P4 on one part and 1966 Ferrari Dino 206 S on the other. As such, the Ferrari P80/C project gives the Ferrari Styling Center an ambitious target to develop a new type of unit that has never existed before in the range of current Ferrari products. A prototype sports car inspired by cars that basically presents its own style of rules in the process of becoming a famous iconic car.
Ferrari P80/C is a new ride four years in the making, built for one unnamed collector for an undisclosed price. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2GpjESA)
Although it is known and made specifically as a track car, it is still influenced in its entirety from the series of elegant Ferrari's road-legal cars. An example is the close relationship between the Ferrari Dino 206 S race car and the Dino 206/246 GT. Both versions have similarities in DNA even though they have different styles.

The Ferrari P80/C project began in 2015 and has the longest working time of all types of Ferrari's one-off limited edition special series production, that's make the P80/C is very different. This decision was made to use the 488 GT3 framework as a basis, not only for performance capabilities, but also for the distance on the wheels (+ 50 mm compared to 488 GTB).
Front-left side view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
With respect to the Ferrari 488's classic layout in which the cockpit tends to be placed centrally, the GT chassis allowed the designers to emphasis a cab forward-effect in which the rear is elongated, lending the car a more aggressive, compact character. This was one of the cornerstones of the P80/C’s styling from the early stages of the design process.
Interior view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
From the top of the car, you can see clearly the car body is bigger on the front wheels, then narrows sharply. This iconic frame is also confirmed by supporting C pillars that are physically detached from the cabin. In addition, the C pillars also wrap the intake funnel, while on the other side the pillars also feature sharp drops between the roof and the surface of the rear engine cover.

In accordance with client's request, this car is designed with two souls: first with a racing set-up, which includes quite striking carbon fiber wings and a single nut 18 inches wheels, and a complete package with 21 inches wheels but without complementary aerodynamics, to highlight the purity of its shape.
Rear down view of one-off Ferrari P80/C. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dg5m4S)
The design of the Ferrari P80/C is made to be easily visible. Although made entirely of carbon fiber, only parts with tight technical functions are left blank, while the main car body has been painted in bright characters Rosso Vero. Then the name is chosen directly by the client, this proves the client's loyalty to Ferrari sports cars upto the color choices.

Even the rear fascia, which makes the gears run fully, seems to have a Catamaran-type architecture. This allows the interior to be completed without bodywork. In fact, the only one is the grille to help evacuate the heat from the engine room. The left space is occupied by a large rear diffuser that seems to be almost separate from the rest of the car. Then using a concave rear glass and aluminum grille on the engine cover, referring to the Ferrari 330 P3/P4, which gives the tail of the P80/C can be instantly recognized in its unique appearance.
The interior is very similar to the original car with the incorporation of roll cage into the bodywork. The side of the dashboard has been redesigned from the 488 GT3 version, as is the door and door panel and the most recent is the carbon fiber section that has no influence on the weight of the car. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TOFM | CTV NEWS | TOP GEAR | EVO]

A 1950s style Italian-made GT-car got a positive notice at Geneva

The world's largest automotive exhibition event, such as the Geneva International Motor Show is not only to be a place to showcase the automotive products from well-known brands, but also used by many small automotive manufacturers or maybe even previously unknown.
Fornasari 311 GT has shown off at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dfqat7)
Yes, among the automotive products on display at the 2019 GIMS, there are several vehicles that seem quietly to attract the attention of visitors. Let's us take look at one of them, ie a pretty interesting concept car named Fornasari 311 GT made and designed by Fornisari Cars.
Left side view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2PegfZB)
Have you ever known those automotive company? We are sure that most of you might doesn't know and might newly found out this time. This company is an Italian automotive company which was officially founded in 1999 by Giuseppe Fornasari with a group of friends supporters.

And actually the company was not a new name in the automotive world, after the adventure in the world of motorsport since the early '90s, with the Corvette purchased in America and the desire to prepare for racing.
Interior view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZbbDbb)
The world of racing and Gran Turismo is always the backdrop to the life of the promoter of this initiative, thanks to his father, Gigi, Alpha skilled pilot Maserati and fifties, who sent his son a passion for not only cars but also a wealth of technical knowledge and human resources.

Back to the car. It might looks like a Ferrari, maybe the Jaguar, and has something of Aston Martin, or maybe it is a Mercedes. In any case, comes from fifties of last century. Yes, from its exterior actually looks like the 1950s GT but packed in a tweaked and power avatar.
Rear three quarter of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2DfXqR3)
The company said that the concept of the car was designed since 2013 and newly in 2018 it was made into a real car like its current form. The design is, it can be said genuine, and while under its hood is there's  lay a 6.2 liter (some says it taken of Corvette V8) engine with 500 horse power maximum. It is understood that it had to be modified to accommodate this engine block in the body.
Rear view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2DfXqR3)
These old-school 1950s style GT-car is a 2-seater car which can be customized as coupe or convertible without changing the lightweight frame which speaks when travelling at higher speeds. By the customer demands, the car can be made of aluminum or composite material. The chassis is made of steel alloyed with molybdenum (some believed there is chromium) and consists of 450 pipes or tubes.

The interior is dominated by aluminum, wood and leather, and clearly, everything is hand processed and merged together. There are options to choose the decoration and styling according to one’s taste in a variety of fabrics including rare wooden linings.
As quoted of eXtravaganzi, these old-school style GT-car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (100 kph) in only 3.5 seconds and its gas pedal can be pushed up to reach max speed is 200 mph. And from the same sources, the car's price is estimated around $300,000. In our opinion that is a reasonable price for such a pretty car like this.

As closing and bonus as well, if you wanna see one of cars that have shapes look alike to those GT-car mentioned above named the 'Ferarri F430 Competizione,' which rebuilt based of 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlineta by Gullwing America in 2011. And what do you think? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FORNISARI CAR | TOP GEAR | ENUZE | EXTRAVAGANZI]

Furthermore he said, that the Vanquish Vision Concept marks another important moment in the history of Aston Martin, and another critical step in realizing the Second Century Plan. Our first mid-engine supercar production will be a transformational moment for the brand, because it is a car that will drive the Aston Martin to the market sector which is traditionally seen as the center of luxury sports cars.
Design of Aston Martin Vanquish Vision Concept has a clear resemblance to Valkyrie. This is very clear on the front of the vehicle, where there are oval shaped headlights similar to the Valkyrie, and the aerodynamic front bumper with the splitter. At the rear, this supercar gets a pair of tailpipes that come out between the lights. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BROBILE | MOTOR1]

Seeing the RG Nathalie, the new Rolland Gumpert's belle figure

If Apollo Automobili, the company built from the remnants of the Gumpert manufacturer continues to amaze people with the Intense Emozione. But Roland Gumpert himself is busy by working in the newest automotive company, and the following are the results.
A matte orange colored RG Nathalie model shown of at the Geneva International Motor Show 2019. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
Yes, a new sportscar results from a partnership between Gumpert and the Chinese company Aiways named Gumpert Nathalie. This is a very impressive sports car, utilizing an advanced electric powertrain and having a form that might remind us a bit of the figure of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept.

This sports car is armed with 4 electric motors, each of which can produce power of 137 bhp and 170 lb-ft of torque. But they do not receive power from the battery. The Gumpert Nathalie actually uses a stack of hydrogen fuel cells.
Rear three quarter of Gumpert Nathalie is believed to be a near-production-spec model. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
Aware of the lack of hydrogen fueling stations around the world, Gumpert and Aiways have implemented methanol modifiers. Then they collaborated with Serenergy, a Danish company to make a stack of methanol fuel cells, the results of which are claimed to provide more efficient electricity than standard hydrogen cells.
A racing model of Gumpert Nathalie also shown of at GIMS 2019 appeared in matte blue colored and the company's black-white racing livery. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
This system takes methanol and can divide it into carbon dioxide released into the air, while hydrogen is channeled to fuel cells. By using this setup, the car is reported to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 2.5 seconds and the top speed reaches 300 kph. Amazingly, this sports car is claimed to be able to travel a distance of 595 km when driven fast and more than 1,126 km when running normally.

This sports car was first unveiled at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show held on January last year, where the car appeared in an attractive purple color. And now at the Geneva International Auto Show 2019, Gumpert brought a pair of Nathalie models and giving the European public their first taste of the innovative sports car.
The front fascia combines sharp lines, large air intakes, and DRL lights similar to the Aston Martin Vulcan. On the side there are matte black alloy wheels and body lines that resemble the Nissan GT-R. At the rear, these Nathalie sportscar is equipped with LED rear lights and additional lights underneath.
Aiways intends to start shipping the Gumpert Nathalie in 2019, but has yet to reveal the price (it’s likely to cost from approximately €400,000 or equivalent to $457,170). By considering all the technologies embedded in it, so this sportscar is certainly wouldn't sale on cheap price when it is produced later. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ROLLAND GUMPERT | CARNEWSA | NOTHERCARGUY | CARSCOOPS]

This car combines a 5,000 cc V8 engine in front with an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The V8 engine itself has 750 horsepower while the electric motor has 215 horsepower and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. When combined with an electric motor on the rear wheels, the total power reaches 951 horsepower with a maximum torque of 1,248 Nm. Those numbers are fairly wild and savage for a sports car.

Then to drive the car, the engine's power is mated to a seven-speed transmission that can be operated through the paddle shift behind the wheel. The combination of the engine, electric motor and its transmission makes the car accelerate from 0-100 kph in 2.7 seconds. The maximum speed is even up to 335 kph. The car's electric power is stored in lithium iron phosphate chemistry batteries. The battery is stored under the trunk and behind the seat. The battery charging is only three hours and in full electric driving mode, the car can be reaching a distance of 20 km.

The base of this car is a carbon fiber tub that joins the aluminum sub-frame and aluminum suspension components. The exterior body panel is also made of carbon fiber and it has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. And the cabin of the Berlinetta includes a number of elements of carbon fiber, brown leather and a large infotainment system between the driver and passengers. There is also a digital instrument cluster and according to Puritalia, this vehicle system is fully connected and can be operated remotely from a smartphone.
The Italian company also said that this car was made by hand according to consumer demand. This car will be made limited, which is only 150 units, and will be sold starting from €553,350 (or around US. $627,083). Looking at the price offered above, not just anyone can get it. Yes, Puritalia Berlinetta can only be owned by thick pocket people who really can appreciate a beautiful supercars. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]

Here it is Piëch Mark Zero with sophisticated fast charging technology

When asked what is the biggest weakness of electric cars, the majority might answer the charging time. Sure enough, even fast charging technology developed by Porsche has so far only been able to record 15-20 minutes to fill 80% of the total car battery capacity.
Piëch Mark Zero with sophisticated fast charging technology has debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2JYfWmD)
That is obviously much longer than filling gas. But that does not always have to be a scourge of the electric car segment. A new company named Piëch Automotive wants to prove that an electric car can also be recharged as fast as refueling of a conventional car.

So far you might be wondering, who is the figure behind Piëch Automotive, and why does his name sound so familiar? Piëch is an automotive company based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has no affiliation with the Volkswagen Group.
Left side view of Piëch Mark Zero. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2HSKx31)
The automotive company was founded in 2016 by Anton 'Toni' Piëch, who is the son of Ferdinand Piëch - a very successful former leader of the Volkswagen Group and great-grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, the original Beetle Volkswagen designer and founder of the Porsche brand.

On their debutant car is a two-door car concept that is different from electric vehicles from startup brands because it does not use the 'skateboard' chassis type, as popularized by Tesla. This car is based on a modular platform developed by Piëch with the help of 200 employees.

This new debutant car is named Piëch Mark Zero and is claimed to only require 4 minutes 40 seconds to fill 80% of its total capacity thanks to the use of a new type of battery cell that is able to cope with high electric currents without the risk of overheating. Under five minutes actually it is appropriate to be compared with the time needed to fill gas tank. And those battery is provided by a Chinese company, Desten.
Rear three quarter view of Piëch Mark Zero. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2TJw2QM)
Not only is the battery charging time fast, its efficiency is no less impressive, with claims of 500 km in one charging time. The car performance is also not spared from Piëch's attention: Mark Zero packs three electric motors (one in front, two in the back) with a total power of 450 kW, capable of carrying it from 0-100 kph in just 3.2 seconds, with top speed in range of 250 kph.

Also interesting is the modular principle whose Piëch applied to its car design. This means that what can be updated is not just the software, but also the hardware, such as battery units that have started to age and drastically reduced in capacity.

This modular architecture also means Piëch can offer its design to other interested car manufacturers. Business with consumers they serve, then they can also serve other fellow businessmen.

Turning to Mark Zero's physicality, the shape of the car looks like a combination of Aston Martin and Porsche. But Piëch doesn't want to focus on the sports car segment alone, they also have plans to realize a number of other models, including an SUV.

Piëch Mark Zero has been officially introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Although it sounds so potential, Piëch Automotive's ambitious vision will depend on the availability of infrastructure, and this infrastructure has actually succeeded in making Tesla the leader in the electric car segment today.
And reportedly, the company is preparing a battery charging infrastructure to be provided by a German company-Sino, and China's company Qingdao TGOOD, which operates more than 210,000 charging points in 310 cities. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1]
