A Chinese-made electric hypercar named Farnova Othello wanna be the fastest in the world
~Wuuuuzzzz~ As we all knew that the Chinese auto industry is moving along with the times that are happening in other parts of the world, including the transition from internal combustion cars to electric vehicles that come in all categories, including hypercars.

In October 2021, there's a Chinese electric car manufacturer called Farnova Automotive presented a pure electric powered hypercar with an evocative name, Farnova Othello. While in the building process of this supercar, Farnova Automotive is collaborating with Qiantu Motors, its compatriot car manufacturer.

As quoted of the Autoevolution, Qiantu Motors provided the chassis of its Qiantu K50 supercar as the technical basis for the hypercar prototype it was co-built with Farnova Automotive. Furthermore, the manufacturer then plans to produce the Othello hypercar in limited quantities, which is only 200 units. And each unit will be sold at a price of 1.86 million Yuan (about Rp. 4.1 billion), that price numbers may be equivalent to the Ferrari F8 Tributo's prices.

In reality, though, that figure could be a worthied bargain given the offered performance of the electric hypercar, at least on paper. The Chinese hypercar is equipped with two electric motors capable of providing traction on four-wheel drive and it is also known powered by a 75 kWh battery made by Swedish manufacturer Northvolt.

Abundant and powerful bursts of power are claimed to be capable of being produced by the Othello's drivetrain, which is 1,860 hp with a truly extraordinary torque of 12,000 Nm. Meanwhile for mileage, the Othello electric-powered hypercar is capable of going as far as 600 kilometers in just single one charge.
Farnova Othello has a dry weight of 1,350 kilograms, can be accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in
just 1.9 seconds, then reach 300 kph in 8.5 seconds and its top speed
reaches 420 kph. (Picture from: Autoevolution)
With that powerful burst of power, the Farnova Othello hypercar, which is rumored to have a dry weight of 1,350 kilograms, can be accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in just 1.9 seconds, then reach 300 kph in 8.5 seconds and its top speed reaches 420 kph.

If this performance is confirmed to be true, then the Fanova Othello will become the fastest electric car in the world, as it is a hair-thin superior to the previous record holder hypercar, namely the Rimac Nevera which has a 1,914 hp drivetrain capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kph in a range of 1.9 seconds and reached a top speed of 412 kph.
Currently the Farnova Othello is still being shown as a prototype, although the makers expect it to start production in 2022. We'll just have to wait for the next news...!! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FARNOVAGP | AUTOEVOLUTION | CARNEWSCHINA ]
