Robotic arm can catch an object thrown at him

The researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne is developing a robotic arm which claimed to be the fastest in the world since the robot arm is capable of capturing an object thrown at him.

If during this time, we are scarcely ever to find robotic arm which is capable of capturing objects thrown at him, but this robotic arm is not only able to capture objects quickly but at the same time able to identify objects that are thrown toward him.

With the ability to identify objects that are thrown, the robotic arm is able to adjust the way the catch or hold objects, for example in the GIF image, we can see the robotic arm could catch the tennis racket right on its handle.
Certainly the robotic arm can be used for many things and useful for the future, although at this time we do not know for certain the uses of a robotic arm that can capture so many objects. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TECHCRUNCH]

Piaggio USB, how are you today?

Previously we had to show the Piaggio MP3 is the first hybrid motorcycle ever announced by Piaggio but MP3 is hybrid 3-wheeler scooter. And some time ago Piaggio ever featuring a hybrid 2-wheeler bike prototype called Piaggio USB (Urban Sport Bike).

A petrol-electric hybrid powered named the Piaggio USB is an intriguing looking scooter that debuted at the 2009 Milan Bike Show. (Picture from: NewAtlas)
Performance claims are a modest 100 kph (62 mph) top speed. However, Piaggio notes the combined torque is said to be around 150 lb/ft. Of course, it's not just the numbers that get us all excited about the USB, it's also the looks. Adapting the feet-forward, laid back shape made famous by the Akira bike, the USB packages those proportions into an unprecedentedly compact package, it looks like it's the same size as a Vespa scooter.

The Piaggio USB has a fairly light weight of only 130 kg (287 lbs) and can go as far as 50 km (in average speed of 60 kph) with the use of existing batteries (capacity of 2.5 kWh), while using the machine, the USB can run up to 100 km for 1.5 liters of petrol (157 mpg).
At that time Piaggio USB reportedly be released in 3 types, namely the single seat, two seats and top-boxes. And indeed there is no information about how much the price of the bikes was.😂

Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of the two-wheeled monster and stay alive with true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops...... *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NEWATLAS  ]

A unique vision of the figure of the Chevrolet racing car

After Subaru, this time Chevrolet's turn to showing their wild concept for Gran Turismo Vision Cars. As well as to commemorate the cooperation between Chevrolet and Chaparral, Chevrolet crowned the Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo as the Chaparral car in modern era while bringing old Chaparral pride numbers, ie number 66.

Actually, this car only available in the Gran Turismo 6 game on Playstation 3 console. However Chevy make it happen and then exhibited at the Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) 2014 event that has just begun.

Chaparral 2X VGT is designed specifically for fans of the Gran Turismo 6 game, which is inspired from Chaparral Racing car which has collaborated with Chevrolet for 45 years. This shows the design and development of future innovations in the automotive world.

Chaparral Racing car adopting the latest methods and materials that commonly used in racing and production vehicles. Includes assemble monocoque frame made of composite material, then the drive system is made of light alloy material, as well as the car racing transmission and car aerodynamics. This partnership also allows the enrichment of data and technology.

What makes it different is the propulsion system. Any sophisticated hybrid engine will look archaic when compared with the Chaparral's engine, because Chapparal reinforced by a beamed-energy propulsion system, where the lithium-ion battery that gets energy from the air-powered generator to fired a laser to a dome that will cause shock waves that would be pushing the car forward quickly.

Thus, nearly 900 hp of power can be spewed by Chaparral engine. Make it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 1.5 seconds, faster than a Bugatti Veyron or Koenigsegg One:1, so it is not surprising that the car has a maximum speed of up to 386 kph (240 mph). To maximize control, Chaparral also has 4-wheel steering system and independent suspension for each wheel.
Although Chevrolet made the original version of this car, Chaparral will not be revealed in any circuit on this Earth. But the gamers can play Chevrolet Chaparral 2X VGT this holiday season by downloading the online Gran Turismo 6, the latest edition of the best-selling game with sales of more than 70 million copies globally since its introduction in 1998. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOBLOG]

Golden Primavera shown on the EICMA 2014

This 1964 Vespa Primavera 125 has an appearance not unlike the typical design of the scooter from Italy where its entire body whitewashed with gold. The Vespa Polini 23-Carat Gold appeared on the EICMA 2014 show in Milan sometime ago.

And the 23-carat of gold be the most expensive component that mounted on this classic Vespa Primavera 125. The entire gold layer that covering the whole scooter's body, start of the front fender, body, handlebars, engine cover, to the rear requires 500 sheets of gold.

Polini is a home modification who designated to work on the project and confessed that they have to be extra careful when going to put the gold on the scooter's body. This is because each sheet of gold was easily broken.

The other part that was not covered with gold remade by Polini. For examples, its seat remade with black contoured orange peel, and re-coated wheels with chrome. The engine parts also refreshed, use the racing clutch with two springs and 27-69 primary gear.
Some components are also pinned on the Polini's Golden Vespa such as the advance crankshaft, 24 mm Polini carburetor, with a CDI ignition system, 12 Volt headlights, and a new exhaust specially made for the Vespa Polini 23-Carat Gold. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BIKES DOCTOR]

The use of human poop as fuel for public transport vehicles

Did you know that in one year, the human waste that generated per person for 1 year can produce 2.1 gallons (8 liters) of fuel, in this case methane gas? Maybe that number is not too large even arguably very small to meet the fuel needs of your car alone, but what if all of it collected in one city?
The Bristol bio-bus is fuelled using gas from sewage and food waste from a local waste treatment plant GENeco. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1p4qTm5)
With this assumption, then the city government of Oslo, Norway in 2009 decided to use the buses with fuel from human faeces. With a population of Oslo as many as 250,000 people were then multiplied with 2.1 gallons of fuel, the results are all that can meet the needs of 80 buses with the distance of each bus as far as 100 km.
Toilet humor aside, biomethane gas is a legitimate source of renewable energy. Governments should not constipate the efforts to introduce new forms of energy into public transit systems. There really should be poop buses on every street. (Picture from: http://theatln.tc/14Uvqib)
This is also done in the UK by GENeco, a subsidiary of Wessex Water. Reportedly they made a bus with a capacity of 40 passengers and uses the human faeces and food scraps that have been converted into bio-gas as its fuel. With once refueling, the bus was able to run up to 300 km and is currently operated and used by Bath Bus Company as public transport to the Bristol airport.

GENeco is the first company in the UK that manage human sewage and food waste into energy sources (bio-gas) and be a company that supplies fuel to those buses. And according to them, the human waste and food scraps can produce enough gas to lights up 8,500 houses in the UK.
Therefore, it can be calculated how much the fuel savings that can be done in one year and also the environmental pollution problems can be reduced. Indeed, it was a bit of "disgust" if we thought of how the buses can run. :-) *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE ATLANTIC]
