Brabham made a track only supercar to rival Senna GTR

After several months previously circulating the teaser image of its newest supercar, Brabham Automotive opens a new history sheet in the world's automotive manufacturing to launch their newest high-performance car named Brabham BT62.

At the same time as an effort to maintain the cultural heritage of the world racing champion since 70 years ago. As we all know in 1948, Sir Jack Brabham, who made his racing debut in Australia, became a three-time world champion and in 1966 became the first and only racer to become the Formula 1 World Champion by relying on his own-made cars.

The presence of Brabham BT62 in the millennial era continues their work as a high-performance car maker that can break the speed record in the circuit but still reliable when driven on the streets. This supercar became one of the closest rivals of McLaren Senna GTR whose use is limited only to be steered on the racing track.

"It’s with great pride that I honour and continue my father’s legacy in revealing the next chapter in the evolving Brabham story. The team we have in place, and the vision it shares, provides a solid platform for Brabham Automotive to execute its long-term business strategy. Our first step to deliver on that strategy is the Brabham BT62, a car truly worthy of carrying the iconic Brabham name." said Managing Director of Brabham Automotive, David Brabham.

On that occasion also Brabham Automotive announced Microsoft as their official technology partner. Through the partnership, Brabham will use Microsoft's computer system to operate seamlessly across the globe. Microsoft will also provide data analysis support and driver development skills. Even the BT62 owners will be offered performance programs by using Microsoft's advanced cognitive technology.

This supercar has a power source provided by a naturally aspirated V8 engine with a capacity of 5,400 cc and mounted it on the center of the car. These Brabham's own-made engine is believed to be capable of generating power of 700 horsepower and 492 lb-ft of torque, and all of that power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The entire body panels and chassis of the supercar is made of carbon fiber materials, so the Brabham BT62 looks very aggressive thanks to an abundance of aerodynamic and lightweight body parts including a large front splitter, diffuser as well as large-sized rear wing. Brabham claims this supercar has a ratio of power to weight of 730 hp per ton with weight of 972 kg so as to make it can be bolted as fast as lightning. But for the ability to its downforce of the car increased to 1,199 kg.
"Our first car brings Brabham to an exciting new era, while respecting and upholding the glorious past of the marque," said Paul Birch, Director of Technology and Engineering Brabham Automotive.

According to the Australian automotive company is only 70 units of cars that will be produced with prices ranging from $1.3 million for each unit. Where the first of 35 units will have special symbols that pay homage to every F1 Grand Prix victory ever won by Sir Jack Brabham. While the other 35 units will offer the opportunity for consumers to create their own dream symbol on this car. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BRABHAM | AUTOCOMCEPT REVIEW]

Giugiaro Looks to the Future with the Electric Sibylla Concept

Visionary Drive - Giorgetto Giugiaro has long been one of the most celebrated names in automotive design, responsible for shaping some of the most iconic cars in history. Yet, in recent years, the spotlight seemed to shift away from him. While Giugiaro and GFG Style continued to collaborate on projects like the Audi Q2 and with several Chinese brands, the firm’s presence in the mainstream automotive world was quieter than before. That period of relative calm, however, did not mark the end—it set the stage for a bold comeback. Giugiaro returned with a series of striking concept cars, including Parcour and Zerouno, each demonstrating the same daring creativity that first made him legendary.

Among these new designs, the GFG Sibylla stands out as a particularly ambitious vision. Revealed in 2018, the Sibylla is a fully electric car born from collaboration between GFG Style and Envision, a Chinese company specializing in wind turbines and energy management. The name “Sibylla” draws inspiration from the prophetic figures of Latin mythology, symbolizing foresight and possibility, while also paying tribute to Giugiaro’s mother, Maria Sibilla. More than a tribute, the Sibylla marks Giugiaro’s 80th birthday with a vehicle that fuses futuristic design and innovative energy technology.

What sets the Sibylla apart is its ability to integrate into a broader energy ecosystem. Using Envision’s EnOS energy IoT platform, the car isn’t just transportation—it can act as a mobile energy hub. Through AI-driven management, it can optimize charging, power a home, and even contribute electricity to the grid, ideally drawing from renewable sources such as wind and solar. This transforms the vehicle into a dynamic link between personal mobility and sustainable energy, pointing toward a future where cars are more than machines—they’re active participants in how we generate and use power.

The car’s design reflects Giugiaro’s legendary flair for bold aesthetics. Measuring around 197 inches long and 58 inches tall, the all-wheel-drive Sibylla features four electric motors, two on each axle. While full battery specifications remain limited, reports suggest a 75-kWh pack could power a typical European household for a week, underlining the vehicle’s energy potential.

The Sibylla’s drama is fully revealed when opened. Its wraparound windshield slides forward over the hood, while the rear side glass rises in gullwing style. Automatic tinting protects the interior from sunlight, while an aviation-inspired steering wheel, touchpad controls, multiple infotainment screens, and extra rear storage merge futuristic technology with practical design. Every detail demonstrates Giugiaro’s talent for combining beauty and function in a single vision.

Yet, despite its innovation, the Sibylla remains a concept. While it captures attention on the show floor and fuels imagination about the future of electric vehicles, there is no confirmed plan to produce it. Perhaps that is its purpose: to inspire rather than conform, to show what might be possible when creativity, technology, and energy innovation collide.
Ultimately, the GFG Sibylla is a testament to Giugiaro’s enduring influence. From shaping some of the world’s most iconic cars, through a quieter period in the automotive scene, to returning with visionary concepts like ParcourZerouno, and now Sibylla, the designer proves that imagination never fades. This concept car is more than a machine—it’s a glimpse into a future where cars are beautiful, intelligent, and deeply connected to the world around them. *** [EKA [12082018] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GFG STYLE | TOP SPEED | CAR AND DRIVER ]

According to the Austrian manufacturer, Red itself refers to a species of Austrian falcon with impressive flight, hunting and attacking abilities. With this ability also inspired Milan Automotive and then made it as the company's logo which was officially registered in March last year.

This sportscar has an overall length of 4,741 mm, a width of 2,156 mm, and a height of 1,197 mm with a wheelbase length of 2,750 mm and a ground clearance of 90 mm. Its monocoque frames and body are built from carbon fiber materials and gives a claimed weight of 1,300 kg.

On paper, the power is able to reach a top speed of 400 km/h with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.47 seconds, while the achievement of time for 0 to 200 km/h in 5.46 seconds and 0 to 300 km/h is achieved in 9.98 seconds.

The driver can also drive the Milan Red with 3 driving mode options; Glide, Hunt, and Attack, replacing the previous premise that was mainstream like Comfort, Sport, and Race. Not just adjusting the engine speed, handling the vehicle can also change according to the chosen driving mode. To drive it faster, there is an option to add Dynamic Vehicle Height Control to optimize the force downward while drive this car on high speed.

To reduce or stop the speed of the car, so in the Milan Red is mounted carbon ceramic brakes system made by Brembo sized 390 mm (15.4in) with 6 piston calipers on the front and 380 mm (15in) rear with 4 piston calipers.
"Nowadays you can drive an artistic car, a high-tech-monster, a throne on four wheels - or a car, that only serves one purpose: stealing everyone the show. And this is where we come into play." said Markus Fux, CEO of Milan Automotive, as quoted by Top Gear.

Unfortunately Milan Automotive does not produce it in bulk. Only 99 units were recorded to be removed from the factory and 18 units were sold. As for Milan Red this has a price tag of up to €2 million or around Rp.33.7 billion. Wow, that's quite expensive isn't it !! And if want to have one, that;s mean You should have a lot of money. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MILAN AUTOMOTIVE | TOPGEAR]

Bugatti Divo, a new model or just an additional variant of Chiron?

French hypercar producer Bugatti announced that they will introduce Buggati Divo in "The Qual" on August 24, 2018 to come, and reportedly that they only made 40 units. In a press release from Bugatti stating that Buggati Divo as a model is lightweight, agile and more fun to drive."
Teaser image of Bugattti Divo. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2vjKSnM)
With Divo, we want to please many people around the world," said Stephan Winkelmann, president of Bugatti. Where, Divo's name was taken from a French racing driver, Albert Divo who won the Targa Florio title for Bugatti.

"Happiness is not around the corner. It is the corner. The Divo is made for corners," Winkelmann added. It's a different concept with the Bugatti Veyron, or Chiron which is known to be heavy and more precisely invited to explore at very (very) high speed.
But, Bugatti did not mention clearly whether Divo was a derivative model of the Chiron hypercar. Or a separate model. They just explained that Divo refers to Bugatti's "coachbuilding" tradition since the 1920s. It could be, Bugatti uses Chiron's chassis and powertrain as a base, then is given a number of improvements. Almost similar with the Ferrari one-off program, or Rolls-Royce Sweptail.
