At the same time as an effort to maintain the cultural heritage of the world racing champion since 70 years ago. As we all know in 1948, Sir Jack Brabham, who made his racing debut in Australia, became a three-time world champion and in 1966 became the first and only racer to become the Formula 1 World Champion by relying on his own-made cars.

The presence of Brabham BT62 in the millennial era continues their work as a high-performance car maker that can break the speed record in the circuit but still reliable when driven on the streets. This supercar became one of the closest rivals of McLaren Senna GTR whose use is limited only to be steered on the racing track.

"It’s with great pride that I honour and continue my father’s legacy in revealing the next chapter in the evolving Brabham story. The team we have in place, and the vision it shares, provides a solid platform for Brabham Automotive to execute its long-term business strategy. Our first step to deliver on that strategy is the Brabham BT62, a car truly worthy of carrying the iconic Brabham name." said Managing Director of Brabham Automotive, David Brabham.

On that occasion also Brabham Automotive announced Microsoft as their official technology partner. Through the partnership, Brabham will use Microsoft's computer system to operate seamlessly across the globe. Microsoft will also provide data analysis support and driver development skills. Even the BT62 owners will be offered performance programs by using Microsoft's advanced cognitive technology.

This supercar has a power source provided by a naturally aspirated V8 engine with a capacity of 5,400 cc and mounted it on the center of the car. These Brabham's own-made engine is believed to be capable of generating power of 700 horsepower and 492 lb-ft of torque, and all of that power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The entire body panels and chassis of the supercar is made of carbon fiber materials, so the Brabham BT62 looks very aggressive thanks to an abundance of aerodynamic and lightweight body parts including a large front splitter, diffuser as well as large-sized rear wing. Brabham claims this supercar has a ratio of power to weight of 730 hp per ton with weight of 972 kg so as to make it can be bolted as fast as lightning. But for the ability to its downforce of the car increased to 1,199 kg.
"Our first car brings Brabham to an exciting new era, while respecting and upholding the glorious past of the marque," said Paul Birch, Director of Technology and Engineering Brabham Automotive.

According to the Australian automotive company is only 70 units of cars that will be produced with prices ranging from $1.3 million for each unit. Where the first of 35 units will have special symbols that pay homage to every F1 Grand Prix victory ever won by Sir Jack Brabham. While the other 35 units will offer the opportunity for consumers to create their own dream symbol on this car. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BRABHAM | AUTOCOMCEPT REVIEW]
