This is classic vehicles from the James Bond movie, but the engineers have created a scooter that could turn into a jet-ski when riding it on the water.
The Biski (pictured) is a motorbike that converts into a jet ski at the touch of a button. By lifting the wheels out of the water, it reduces its drag and two powerful water jets at the back can propel it at up to 37 miles per hour. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1ZwVEfF)
Biski is a motorcycle with a chassis that can float and has two wheels that can be drawn with a touch when operated on the water. Two water jets then spurts to push this vehicle at speeds up to 37 mph (59.55 kph).
Gibbs Sports Amphibians, a company based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England, said it takes only five seconds to turn this bike into a jet ski. The company has built a prototype of the Biski and is currently looking to sell its intellectual property rights to a manufacturer to begin producing the machines to sell to the public.
While it make look somewhat ungainly out of the water, the chassis of the bike is designed to make it float and remain stable while sitting on the water. It is capable of reaching 87 mph when on the road (pictured). (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1ZwVEfF)
"Biski truly unique as the single seat (or single plus pillion), a twin jet, High Speed Amphibians (HSA)motorcycle and this is the first in the world," as written in the official website, which is quoted by the Daily Mail recently.
Gibbs also claimed the motorcycle is capable of reaching speeds up to 87 mph (140 kph) on the street and very stable when in the water. The machine weight is 500 lbs (226.8 kg) and had a twin-cylinder petrol engine which has a 55 hp of power. Even equipped with the lights suitable for the riding on the street and marine navigation. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYMAIL]
The facts show, the airplanes still be the safest mode of transportation in the world. However, a number of accidents involving the aircrafts made a number of people are afraid. For example, the mystery disappearance of Malaysia Airlines MH370, the MH17 is shot down in the sky Ukraine, and many others.
To remove these concerns, an engineer from Ukraine filed a revolutionary discovery: the aircraft's cabin can be released at any time during emergency conditions. Which enables passengers landed safely on the ground, also on the water though.
The invention by Vladimir Nikolaevich Tatarenko could possibly save hundreds of lives in the event of a mid-air plane disaster. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1NjJDTR)
"Vladimir Nikolaevich Tatarenko findings could possibly save hundreds of lives were threatened lost in the accident that occurred in the middle of the flight," as quoted by NDTV, on Monday, January 18, 2016.

Nikolaevich already developed the idea for 3 years, but only recently released. So, how are the detached cabins can be landed safely?

This is possible thanks to a parachute attached to the cabin - which will automatically open when the capsule bottom dislodged from the other plane - order the top and cockpit.

"Saving the lives of the passengers in the plane crash incident is possible. When the engineers in the world working hard to make aircraft increasingly safe, they can not do anything against the human factor," said Tatarenko to Liveleak.
"The technology exists today, such as the use of Kevlar or carbon fiber composites are used for machine parts, wings, fins (flap), spoilers, ailerons and tail in the design."
The Tatarenko design was included by placing the luggage storage space under the cabin, so that there was no case of loss of property when separation of the capsule to be done.
This is not the first idea was initiated by Tatarenko. Previously, he registered a patent on the invention of rescue capsule system that can save the lives of the passengers.
More than 2,000 human lives lost in a plane crash since 2012. Therefore, the new technology is expected to reduce the number of fatalities in the flight incident.
However, as quoted from News.com.au, a number of people skeptical of the idea proposed by Tatarenko. One of them is related to elements which can be separated from the aircraft. Allegedly, it would weaken the overall structure of the aircraft. Or, perhaps making more expensive.
Others wondered what the hell was going to happen to the pilot and flight crews? Well, it's only an idea, certainly need further research and study whether the proposal is feasible or not? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NDTV | NEWS.COM.AU]

The new challenges faced by Kevils Speed Shop in Devon England. They are one of the leading workshops in the UK are used to made the BMW custom motorcycles. Now, they are trying to get out of the grip by building a single-cylinder engined motorcycle, Honda CBF250.
Yes, CBF250 was the figure of Honda's naked bike became the Kevils project based on consumer demand to handle the small-capacity custom bike outside their experience to build the BMW is. For beginners who want to make it as a bike commuter, CBF250 fairly nimble motorcycle with a power of about 22 hp and a top speed of 105 km/h.

The motorcycle construction was not too complicated for custom built and has a sturdy chassis. It makes Kevin Hill, the workshop owner taking its base to attract fans of modification with an affordable budget.
Therefore, Kevils Speed Shop encodes the bike with numbered instead of the motorcycle name. And the CBF250 custom named 'MOTO#3' was the third motorcycles that they built after also worked on Honda CG125.
Kevil start the reincarnation of 2004 Honda CBF250 by installing a minimalist tank of an old 1970s Honda CB. Later in the rear subframe was redesigned by Kevil's team including the rear fender frame trimmed becomes shorter and mounted thinner comfortable seat. The concept refers more to the street scrambler style like his taste that is widely adopted to some BMW motorcycles custom
The position of the battery is moved downward of swing arm to maximize the space on the back to make it look more spacious. Motocross handlebars plus a LED indicator and a Koso digital speedometer completes the front detail by the color combination of gray and red. The Conti TKC tires pinned to wrap its black colored five crossbar rims of Honda CBF250.
Kevils Speed Shop has been successfully made the reincarnation of Honda CBF250 to look more fresher. Its elegant frame managed to lift the prestige of a 250 cc engine which has sweet historical pieces to be remembered. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THEBIKESHED]
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 130 and 150 million people worldwide suffer from Hepatitis C is a liver infection caused by a virus of the same name. While the infection can lead to serious health conditions, many people may not realize they have it.
And now, the scientists have discovered is how the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) also affects the nerve tissue, and cause fatigue, depression and cognitive dysfunction on those chronically infected.

A new study reveals how this effect can be attributed to neurological development of Parkinson's disease in the future. A progressive disorder that affects the body's nervous system, Parkinson's can be managed with medication, but do not have a cure until today.
Study participants in Taiwan with and without the type of hepatitis that followed an average age of 12 years to see if they develop the disorder or not. Apparently, those who have Hepatitis C is 30 percent more likely to develop Parkinson's than those who are not infected. The researchers called for more investigation HCV connections and damage the nervous system, but increase preventive measures against HCV infection is still a wise choice.
HCV is a blood-borne pathogen, which means mostly transmitted through sharing needles, unsafe medical practices and syringe accidents, or like most of the cases occurred in the blood transfusion in Taiwan.

This virus can also be transmitted from mother to baby during birth. For the Hepatitis C infection cases alone is common. While the treatment is still very expensive. It is estimated that a single round of treatment for Hepatitis C can costs up to $100,000 and a significant inconvenience for the patient. In addition, some insurance companies also refuse to pay the required medication of patients.
"We have a unique way to give healing, to the limited duration of therapy, and now we're making decisions based on the stage of the disease to distinguish those who are eligible for treatment and who does not," says Raymond Chung, MD, a gastroenterologist and Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
So, what can be done to make the treatment of Hepatitis C have become more affordable? Dr Chung suggested us to do an alternative treatment therapies. You can consult with a doctor about this. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MEDSCAPE]
By entrusted the modification process of one of George King's dream cars (1934 Ford Coupé Hot Rod) to a Colorado-based auto workshop named The Forge to built it from scratch.
"George came to our workshop with the request to built his childhood dream car. Beginning the story goes, since childhood he has liked the hot rod cars with his father while they were stop by the gas station. At the time, he saw a coupé hot rod 1934. For him it was the real hot rod, so we realize his dream by adding a couple of the latest technology," said Josh Allison of The Forge by an e-mail.

To modify it, Josh admitted that require a long time ie 18 months, where the process starts from the car frame. To make it quite complicated, the car front section made tapered so later that the machine will look like came out of the body. While in the back is made widened and later rounded so obtained the vintage impression.

Once the car frame is successfully created, Winters quick change rear end (rear axle) and front-wheel drive shaft applied. This causes an aggressive look with the low stance concept appeared.
"After that, we started to pair the 1953 392 Hemi engine, and connect it with other drive components," he explained. This is where the real hot rod impression actually obtained. Where looked, its large-sized machine came out of the front body.
After installing the machine, then its legs pinned. To the rear, Josh admitted using coil over. Obviously this is intended to get the flat looks that can be adjusted its height. While at the front wearing conventional shock absorbers alongside with the dropped axels to get the vintage looks.

Although appearing as an old car, the latest technology installation must be done to ensure the driving safety and comfort. Therefore, the braking system of classic hot rod uses disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear.
The process is continued with the car body installation. Its front body or engine room has long profile with 6 stands out points. While the central part, the car roof with the louvers profile (perforated), so was the car trunk door.
"The rest just attach a custom-made parts such as the fuel tank cap, fuel tank and car license plate holder. Interestingly this plate holder allows users to hide the car's license plate. So when the car participated in the auto show, the car license can be easily concealed," said Josh.
The next step was installed the exhaust system. The Colorado-based workshop is using a modified stainless steel exhaust that laid along the bottom of the car body and has a large sized.
"Of these, the most difficult but the coolest one was furnish the car interior. Because the interior is made of full customized aluminum. It took a very long time to design, shape and attach the aluminum plate into the cabin," he explained.
After all the processes done, the last stage of the modification process was paint the car body. The dark blue color was the car owner choice. To apply the paint, earlier entire car's body had sandblasted and then sprayed with paint and coatings.
"This car is very unique, because there is the use of several interesting components, such as the 392 Hemi engine equipped with Hillborn injection system, full custom handmade aluminum interior, and full custom stainless steel exhaust system," he concluded. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE FORGE | OTOSIA.COM]
