Nissan celebrates 50 years of the Fairlady

The World's automotive enthusiasts must know the figure of the legendary sports car Nissan 370Z Fairlady. The sports car which was originally known also in the automotive market outside of Japan as the Datsun 240Z was developed starting in 1966 and launched for the first time in 1969. Then rapidly the sports car was transform into one of Nissan's iconic cars which grab success in the world's automotive market besides the Nissan GT-R models.

To commemorate the sports car's moment of success, in the 2019 North American International Auto Show held in New York, Nissan deliberately released a special edition of this sports car under the name of Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition. So what's special about this sports car? Nissan released this special edition sports car with an iconic livery.

This Livery was actually used for the first time when Fairlady was still a line-up of Datsun, also mean paying homage to the #46 BRE (Brock Racing Enterprises) Datsun 240Z that won multiple SCCA National Championships (in 1970 and 1971) with John Morton behind the wheel.

This sports car was built by taking the base of the 370Z Coupe, and Nissan did not do extreme changes to its exterior. Shown by using a white base color with a distinctive red livery according to the inspiration car's livery. To confirm that this is a special edition, there is the '50th Anniversary' emblem on the fender section and under the 370Z emblem on both sides.

Furthermore, its mechanical heart still entrusted to the 3,500 cc V6 engine unit, which is capable of producing power reaching up to 332 horsepower, with a maximum torque of 366 Nm. Or if you want it to run faster, then a NISMO version is provided with a power supply of up to 350 hp and 374 Nm of torque. A large amount of engine's power is then channeled to its rear wheels, through a choice of the 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission system.

Then move on the legs, this cool sports coupe figure uses the four forged 370Z Sport rim models from Rays, which has a size of 19 inches with a dual-tone red garnish finishing on the rim's lips. Then the rims are wrapped with the Bridgestone Potenza S007 High-Performance 245/40R19 tires.

For the interior, it turns out there are many '50th Anniversary' accents too, ranging from the use of leather seats embroidered embossed and given a touch of red accents, then on the floormats as well. And the emblem also seen is mounted near the gear lever. Another feature that is also found in its interior, namely the use of Alcantara material that wraps the steering wheel and metal pedals. Then as a compliment, there is also an entertainment system that is equipped with 6 speaker units from Bose that are ready to pamper the ears of its driver and passengers.

Nissan's special edition sports car model will have 2 finishing colors, namely white with a red color and also silver with a black combination. Nissan decided to sell this special car in Australia because the Nissan 370Z is an iconic car figure that has many fanatic fans in Australia. Then for the price, in Australia, this special edition car is sold in the prices of AUS $53,490 (US. $36,180) and AUS $55,990 (US. $37,600), respectively. While the Nismo version offered at AUS $71,076 (US. $48,075).
