One-off Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon is named after a bird of prey

Pagani has launched the latest Huayra Roadster at the 'The Quail - A Motorsport Gathering' event as part of Monterrey Car Week. Officially named Pagani Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon, this Italian hypercar takes its name from the best of all eagle species known as fast and ferocious hunters. A suitable name for cars like the Huayra Roadster.

The car is finished in a white shade similar to that of the Gyrfalcon’s feathers complemented with exposed carbon fiber resembling the bird’s spotted black wings. There are bright yellow accents on the rear view mirrors, over the side skirts, side air-intakes, on the front bumper and on the nose of the car. The stripe running down the nose imitates the Gyrfalcon’s beak.

The inspiration from the bird doesn’t end there as the falcon’s image is also stitched into the car’s headrests, door cards and matching luggage set. A special gyrfalcon gold coin is also lodged inside the shift knob.

Step inside the interior of the supercar, and you’ll be reminded numerous times why the one-off creation takes its name from the aerial predator.

The Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon is powered by the same Mercedes-AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 which delivers 754 hp @ 6,200 rpm and more than 737.5 lb-ft of torque from 2,400 rpm. The Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon is capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed run that should approach — or even exceed — 230 mph.

The Huayra Roadster Gyrfalcon was unveiled at the Pebble Beach where the company also announced the opening of a new dealership in Beverley Hills and showcased a unique airplane cabin the automaker designed as part of Pagani’s partnership with Airbus.
Pagani hasn’t announced if it already has an owner, but history is a good indicator that Pagani only builds one-off creations when someone asks for one. Guess who is lucky one to have this supercar? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TOPSPEED | ALLCARINDEX | THESUPERCARBLOG.COM]
