Crying is Healthy!

For women, crying is a burst of expression when she is no longer able to explain her feelings. Crying proved to have good effects on health. Thus the results of a recent study a number of experts from Indiana University-Bloomington, United States, which reported Zeenews, recently.

Studies carried out on 150 football players from two football associations, the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The participants' average age was 19 years.

They were asked to read a scenario about a football player named Jack who was crying after the match. They were presented with four options that story end, Jack was crying because they lost, crying happy for victory, wept after losing, or sobbing because the win.

Students tend to think that cry after losing a match is normal and natural for a football player. But they can not accept wail as a natural reaction in a losing situation. Football players also said they were going to cry but not sobbing when in Jack's position.

Not only that, those who weep also have a high confidence level, when compared to never cry. The researchers also found those who care about the mental condition of his team members have high levels of life satisfaction. "Overall, the football players do have a sense of reluctant to show feelings. This is related to gender, however, they are trying to look tough and more emotionally expressive had the mental advantage both inside and outside the field," said lead researcher Jesse Steinfeldt. So, do not be shy, show your expression!

Scientists also found that players who show physical affection towards his team members a lot happier. Scientists from Indiana University-Bloomington, United States, deliberately studying how gender stereotypes about crying affecting football players, and how their belief in the emotion on the field affect other aspects of their lives.

"In 2009, the media despise Tim Tebow, quarterback of a team of University of Florida, for crying on the sidelines after losing," said Y. Joel Wong, a psychologist at Indiana University-Bloomington.

Wong said the football player who believes he cries it's reasonable to have higher self-confidence. "Conversely, a player who believes he's crying is not fair, but the feeling was going to cry if it is in the position of Jack, had low self confidence," said Wong. *** [LIVESCIENCE | JAM | PIKIRAN RAKYAT 13102011 | KORAN TEMPO 3672]
