Apollo's newest moods through the Intensa Emozione

Apollo finally revealed their latest hypercar whose some time ago its teaser circulated in cyberspace. The hypercar is named Apollo Intensa Emozione (IE). Like a hypercar in general, the design of Intense Emozione looks very concerned about aerodynamic factors.

How not, the body and chassis are entirely made of carbon fiber materials so makes it has a very light weight that is only 1,250 kg.

If the aerodynamic factor is ignored, by a very light weight of body and chassis, it will definitely make this car can "fly," considering that the engine carried by the IE is a V12 naturally-aspirated engine with capacity of 6,300 cc.

Yes, it is a powerful engine that is rumored be linked to the Ferrari F150 project, but has been completely reassembled by Autotecnica Motori, one of Apollo's engineering partners which is then paired with Hewland's six-speed sequential transmission system and a paddle-shift gearbox from Revs.

The maximum power that can be sprayed by the engine to drive the rear wheels is claimed to reach 780 hp with a torque of 759 Nm. No wonder, the car can accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and top speed of 335 km/hour. On these hypercar is also pinned a traction control feature that has 12 modes of activation, to offset the wild power of its V12 engine.

That's why the design of this car is made very radical with a large car lip and  body designed full of curves, there's also dive-plane splitter to split the wind and increase the downforce to the ground. Besides that the most frightening is the wide spoiler on the stern of the car. On the rear bumper is loaded with fully curves designed diffuser.

In addition to aerodynamic support design, this car also has a very modern look with DRL projector headlamp as its "eyebrow". And also the tail light is slippery and sharp, in tune with the stern which also designed in full of curves.

According to Apollo, they will produce these IE hypercars on limited numbers, ie as many as ten units only, and sold at a price of €2.3 million, or equivalent to Rp.32, 16 billion.
After all of Apollo IE supercars were fully booked and sold, the company will filter what it learns for making the road-legal variants of these supercar at a slightly cheaper price, also with the same philosophy of enthusiasm as its previous emotions. Well, are you interested in becoming one of these hypercar owners? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOCAR | ROAD&TRACK]

For example a renowned Japanese automotive giants, Toyota who participated in the 26th GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2018 exhibition, also tried to describe their future car figures

Toyota believes that the cars whose will be used in the future are equipped with the ability to interact with the drivers. This ability cannot be separated from the installing of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology upon the car.

The following is the Toyota Concept-i which is the embodiment of Toyota's future car versions. This concept car itself is outlined in three versions; Concept-i in the form of sedans, Concept-i Ride, and Concept-i Walk. And all Toyota Concept-i series cars above use the electric motors to be able to run on the streets.

1. Toyota Concept-i
First, the Toyota Concept-i model is actually not new. This concept car was first introduced at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas. Generally, the Toyota Concept-i has a very futuristic exterior and interior design.

In addition to its different forms, it has an ability called an 'agent' that is able to understand the driver emotions. That is, the artificial intelligence system applied to the Toyota Concept-i can detect emotional levels. When you're sad, for example, the system will provide access to the entertainment content that is preferred by you.

More than that, the Toyota Concept-i is equipped with an autonomous steering system which is combined with a very capable safety system. On these concept car use three core technologies: Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Trace Control (LTC), and Predictive and Interactive Human Machine Interface (HMI).

The car's ability to recognize the driver emotions can be taken from the data of facial expressions, gestures and speech tonations. While preferences are based on the track record of the driver on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, up to GPS.

Let's watch the following video to see how sophisticated the features of this car are.

2. Toyota Concept-i Ride
Well, different from the Concept-i in the form of a futuristic sedan above, the Ride which is the latest new variant of Toyota's future concept car is made to give access for anyone to drive. Through this car, people with disabilities who use wheelchairs everyday can sit behind the wheel and drive as well.

Dimension of the Concept-i Ride is very small. It is only 2,500 mm long, 1,500 mm height, and 1,300 mm wide with a cruise range of around 100 km. Toyota also provides flexibility in cabin space so that drivers who use wheelchairs can get more easily access. This cannot be separated from the use of the falcon wing door-type.

While the seat configuration can be arranged flexibly also. Unlike the car in general, the Toyota Concept-i Ride does not use the steering wheel, the pedals of clutch, brake and accelerator. Instead, there's a joystick is provided.

3. Toyota Concept-i Walk
The shape of this vehicle is similar to a segway but has a more compact dimension and is easier to drive. The Toyota Concept-i Walk is designed as single-person mobility rides that can be used in pedestrian areas with a cruise range of around 10-20 km.

Here're 5 modified motorcycles with unique looks

What's more awesome than superbikes? Unique, custom mods of superbikes and other motorcycles that not only change the look of the base motorcycle but also modified the engine power to an unbelievable degree.
This unique motorbike concept designed by Barrend Massow Hemmes. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2OlDzCP)
Another reason why motorheads go for custom mods is they then end up with a vehicle so unique, it catches eyeballs everywhere. Having a beast of a machine that looks or sounds like nothing else is a great feeling. That's why does the people would do this to their beloved rides.

This does not mean that other motorbikes that are not on this list are not unique. Let's see 5 modified motorcycles with strange and unique looks as follow:

5. Megapro Techno Fighter: R1 Motorsport
This unique-formed of motorcycle was built by a Manado-based workshop named R1 MotorSport from a 2003 Honda Megapro. The black colored body motorcycle and red on its frame later became one of the participants of the 2016 Honda Modif Contest.

By the theme of Future street fighter, it supported by the main frame construction of 2 inch while for sub-frames used the pipes diameter-size of 1.5 inch and 1 inch. Then the frame directly connected to the front wheels. While for the body, relying on the carbon fiber materials, the shape of the body was made with fully sharp indentations.

4. Crazy Arc SR400: The Ugley's
This masterpiece was developed by The Ugley's, a group of Japanese artists, using a Yamaha SR400 chopper as a donor. Most of the features on this stunning customized motorcycle were homemade.

The Crazy Arc has a homemade fuel tank mounted between the frame tubes, which sort of harks back to the twentieth century's classics. The makers fabricated a custom chassis including the frame, drum brakes, and bespoke wheels. To cope up with the rigid rear suspension, a single seat is fixed on a small damper—but we don’t know how comfortable that is.

3. Disturbed Cadaver: Mortagua Fighter
With the look of a street fighter, this edgy mod was designed by Carlos Mortagua of Mortagua Fighter, a Portuguese custom motorcycle company established in 1995. The Disturbed Cadaver has a 1993 Suzuki GSX RX1100 underneath its insane exterior.

The custom looks rather futuristic because of its rather "sharp" design. The core of the bike comes from its donor, and it sports a dual paint scheme done by Carlos himself. The entire design took 18 months, so plenty of hard work went into shaping this beastly machine.

2. Jack Daniel's Chopper: Hossier Daddy
Maybe you will be amazed by this Chopper, because the custom bike is different than others. In the hands of Jon Shipley from Hoosier Daddy Choppers, a 1977 Harley Davidson Ironhead Sportster turned out to be the motor that is ready to bulldoze the streets.

The chopper which takes the famous American alcoholic brand theme that is derived from Bloomfield, a small town in Indiana has managed to bring to life a bike which seems the dream-spawn of a creative steampunk designs.

1. Jack Daniel's Black Label Bike: Roland Sand Design
Well, if you're sitting in a bar downing a few and watch this bike whiz by, chances are, you'll think it’s time to hit the road and dump the glass. Why? Because which bike can ever sport not just white-wall tires but actual bright-white tires?

Meet these Indian Scout Jack Daniels Edition, it built to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the old faithful No.2 and the 115-year-old heritage of the Indian Scout with a beautiful lovechild. Let's end with "hit the road, Jack…"

Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of two-wheeled monster and stay alive with the true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops.... *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | HOTCARS]

Portofino, a new entry-level supercar of Ferrari

Before realizing the dream to buy a top-class supercar from Ferrari, like LaFerrari, it's good for you to try first this Ferrari's entry-level supercar so as not too surprised with the power and the sophistication of features are offered on the premium-class car.

To meet the needs of the entry-level supercar, the prancing horse logoed auto manufacturer recently has been launched the Ferrari Portofino and also shown it for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017.

The name of this car is taken from a small town in Italy that is famous for its elegant and exclusive and became the cheapest of all variants offered by these Italian luxury car factory. The presence of this Portofino to replace the California series, the first Ferrari cars sold at "affordable price" and introduced since 2008 and closed with the California T (2014-2017).

Before we discuss the Portofino further, it's good to know what are the mean of an entry-level and cheaper supercar (of course by Ferrari standards). Ferrari Portofino sold at a price of €196,000 (Rp. 3.09 billion). This price numbers is quite cheap compared to the price of a standard LaFerrari which reached US. $1.5 million (Rp. 19.8 billion), even there's a special edition supercar that been sold at an auction event at the price of US. $7 million. Once again, the Portofino is not a cheap car but lowest price supercar.

These hard-top convertible supercar made the same as the California that uses a 3,900 cc twin-turbocharged V8 engine placed in front. However, the the power produced has been increased by 38 hp to 591 hp at 7,500 rpm with maximum torque of 760.6 Nm at 3000-5.250 rpm. And the power of grand touring sport car is channeled to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission system that is connected with the Ferrari's 3rd generation E-Diff.

Thus Portofino claimed able to accelerated from rest to 100 kph in 3.5 seconds and can reach 200 kph in just 10.8 seconds. The maximum speed of this car is limited to 320 kph. That's not bad for an entry-level supercar, isn't? As for the fuel consumption is quite economical for the supercar class, which is claimed to reach 10.7 liters for every 100 km.

Body design is not too different from California T, just polished a little to make its appearance more beautiful. One of them, the headlights are changed from vertical to horizontal so it looks more manly and aggressive. In the interior is also not much different. The dashboard is similar to California though there are a few different designs on the bottom.

There are a smaller heater, ventilation duct and air conditioning (HVAC), while the infotainment screen is enlarged to a size of 10.2 inches. Two front seats can be adjusted up to 18 ways to ensure driver and passenger comfort. The rear seats comfort, though are rarely used by Ferrari users, remain to be considered by giving a small screen to set the infotainment system.
Ferrari Portofino has been sold in Europe since the first quarter of 2018, then entered the US in the summer. The sales figures, as citing of Bloomberg, are targeting to reach 3,200 units in the first year, up 40 percent of California T sales this year.

"If a good start means a good achievement, the order (for Portofino-red) has already started getting into our dealers even before launch," says Enrico Galliera, Ferrari's sales head. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CNET]
