How hot the volcanic lava are?

When the volcanic lava visible to the eye, the object seemed to burn red and tasted very very hot. What is the temperature of volcanic lava are?

As reported by LiveScience on Thursday, April 21, 2016, the lava is molten rock that shoots out of the volcano. These such objects can flow at temperatures of thousands of degrees Fahrenheit.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the volcanic lava at the lowest temperature is equivalent with the temperature of pizza oven, ie 570 Fahrenheit. In the middle range of lava temperatures, the dark red lava often seen slowly crawling across parts of Hawaii , measures around 895 Fahrenheit.

As for the red-hot lava flows, can reach temperatures of up to 1,165 Fahrenheit. The temperature is still lower than the lava flows with the glowing orange, where the temperatures reach 1,600 Fahrenheit at that point.

And when rock is seriously melting, such as the magma within the Hawaiian volcano of Kilauea, the temperatures can reach 2,120 Fahrenheit or 1,160 Celsius equivalent. Wow!! That's very very hot. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LIVESCIENCE]

Unique vehicle concepts of the medical equipment manufacturer

It was not just the automotive manufacturers that brought the peculiar vehicle concepts into an automotive event. The proof, a Japanese medical company and optoelectronic business, Kowa Company Ltd. ever participated in the Tokyo Motor Show 2011 with three electric-powered vehicle prototypes with eccentric design named Kobot.

For the sake of ambition, Kowa conducts the collaboration with TMSUK (pronounced 'tem-zak') Company Ltd. (a robot development company) in developing these 3 unique vehicle concepts. Those three vehicles have name as follow Kobot v (Nu), Kobot β (Beta) and Kobot π (Phi).

The first is Kobot v (Nu), a vehicle model that came in the red color with futuristic look, has a sharp design and sprinkles of LED lights in all over its body. Then there is Kobot β (Beta) with a more elegant model, thanks to a slightly rounded design and painted with bright lime green on the body and beige behind the steering wheel.

What’s interesting is that both of the Kobot v (Nu) and β (Beta) can fold up with a touch of a button on a smartphone app. The wheelbase will contract thus further reducing the overall size and footprint of the vehicle. Yet both have similarities thanks to the combination of car elements, motorcycles and trikes, which makes the Kobot v and β are more similar to the rickshaw.

The last, there is Kobot π (Phi) which shown with relatively conventional design. This is evident from the form of four-wheeled vehicle and has an enclosed cabin. Even when viewed at a glance, the car with white and orange colors, similar to the Suzuki Q-Concept that has a rounded design too. This electric vehicle concept can accomodated two passengers in it.

The goal here for these electric vehicles is to help ease traffic congestion and provide tourists a more efficient way of getting around in environmentally sensitive sightseeing areas. Unfortunately, the Japanese company did not release the detail informations of all three prototype models, both the engine specifications and the features embedded on each models. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | UBERGIZMO]

Statue of the Queen of England was made of hundreds of vehicle parts

A sculpture of the Queen made entirely
from hundreds car parts has been created
by Kwik Fit ahead of the monarch’s 90th
birthday. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Zmmc9)
Kwik Fit, a vehicle component repair company in the UK was made a creative and unique artwork. By holding a sculpture artist, the company was making a statue of Queen Elizabeth II using hundreds components of the vehicle.

The result is a bust later named 'Queen of Parts' was created to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Queen of England which falls on Thursday, April 21, 2016. The artist and employees of the repair companies collect hundreds components of cars and trucks to be used as a crown, hair, face, neck, jewelry, and clothes of the Queen.

Some of the components used are bumper, headlights, fan, tires, rims, spark plugs, to the small ring. The components used to make the statue of Queen Elisabeth II has a total weight of 115 kilograms (250 lbs) with a height of 3 meters (10 ft).

David Parfitt, an artist who led the project, said that for the crown, it uses the indicator lights of Austin K2, a military truck which was once used by the Queen. In 1945, Her Highness was trained as a mechanic of the British army.
"Many people do not know that our Queen is actually the most famous mechanic," said Dhiren Master, a marketing director at Kwik Fit, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday, April 21, 2016. During World War II, the Highness was born on April 21, 1926 and joined with the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service. In addition to the mechanical, the Queen had also been a military driver. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | REUTERS]

The only one weird trike creations

Nils Ferber along with three of his friends ie Sebastian Auray, Ruben Faber and Ludolf von Oldershausen has created a unique three-wheeled motorcycle which also became an exercise in creating an alternative vehicle.
By using two 18-volt-screwdrivers as engines, the "EX" accelerates its driver up to 30 km/h. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Zh86U)
Three-wheeled motorcycle is powered by two electric drill and steered by your own spine and named 'EX' for the word 'eccentricity', although it may as well mean 'ex-living', so amazingly dangerous does this machine look.
Both screwdrivers run in the same direction to get the maximum power out of them. To avoid one screwdriver blocking the other, overrunning clutch gearwheels are used to transmit the torque. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Zh86U)
The open design was inspired by 'a skeleton with its organs [exposed]', and this is what you might become if you make a wrong move. As can be seen from the photos, the riders placed in the position of the head to the front, one hand operating the throttle and the other on the brake.
The driver controls the vehicle with brake and gas handles and by tilting the back wheel with its body. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Zh86U)
The headlong position gives you an exiting driving experience. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Zh86U)
Piloting the EX doesn’t look terribly comfortable I’m afraid to say, particularly since steering is done via the back wheel requiring you to twist your body in the direction you want to go. But the use of electric drills for the motors means it’s easy to carry back-up batteries on your person should you need to swap them in mid-trip, because I’m assuming this thing doesn’t have an impressive range when driven at its 30km/h or ~18mph top speed.
Two electric drill mounted on both sides of a tricycle and running in the same direction to the rear wheels. There is no intention for the mass production of this three-wheeled motorcycle. Because this is just an exercise for Ferber and his three friends. A quite weird trike isn't? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | EX | WIRED]
