Seeking an intelligent tech to prevent the autonomous vehicles crash

The development of advanced technology in the automotive industry is increasing, after the automatic braking system technology was introduced to the vehicle without a driver (autonomous).

A Swedish security device company, Autoliv plans to launch the latest technology that is also specially developed for autonomous vehicles. Although this technology is still closely kept by the company.
Autoliv is mainly looking at the Lidar system (Light Detection And Ranging), a technology which makes use of light beams to get better, 3D, higher resolution images of the surroundings – needed to ensure self-driving cars become aware of what’s around them. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Z9dCw)
However it is known, the system will use the work of LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology, in which the system works rely on ambient light to capture objects around the vehicle via a camera and radar-owned.

Furthermore, the radar will deliver to the intelligent software on the device, which enables the car to recognize the surrounding conditions. So these devices can prevent the accidents rather than provide an airbag or seatbelt to tackle accidents.

It is estimated that this system will be connected with automatic brake device, which is now becoming a major security standards for all vehicles in the United States. And the Autoliv company claims that the technology will be the solution of the fears of many consumers to the security system on an autonomous vehicles. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | INAUTONEWS]

Again, China is ready to launch a new electric supercar

Beijing Motor Show (BMS) 2016 is expected to be a barometer of the appearance of electric-powered vehicles, not least for the Chinese automotive company, Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC), which will feature a new electric sportscar, which until now was not released its official name.

The presence of BAIC's electric powered supercar will add to the ranks of competition similar vehicles like Farady Future, Rimac, and Koenigsegg that will perform at the BMS event in this year.

Through its official information, as quoted from Digital Trends and Autoblog, the company claims its electric supercar with similar dimensions to the Ferrari 488 GTB, but it designed little wider and higher.
The BAIC's electric supercar is anticipated to reach 62 mph in under 3.0 seconds, top out at over 160 miles per hour, and travel for up to 186 miles on a single charge. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1Z5dEd)
The design itself if observed carefully adopt some famous supercar model. At first glance resembles the BMW i8 with a front view like Aston Martin Vulcan. The roof is reminiscent of Ferrari models with Lamborghini's typical scissor doors.

BAIC is still reluctant to reveal all the detailed information of electric supercar, but there is a little glimpse ie the car is capable of providing acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 3 seconds. For maximum speed of 161 miles per hour, whereas the distance that can be reached with the fully battery capacity held to 186 miles. ***  [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOBLOG | DIGITAL TRENDS]

It turned out that the Flores man extinct faster than expected

Ancient dwarf human species found in Indonesia might become extinct faster than previously expected. This was revealed by an international team of scientists investigating the origins of the discovery in the journal Nature.

Flores man, or Homo floresiensis lived on the island of Flores. The human brain is the size of a pygmy chimpanzee brain, but the shape of the skull resembles Homo erectus, which lived in Africa and Asia. They also have long arms and short legs.

The team of scientists correcting earlier reports stating that the inhabitants of the island of Flores in the past that coexisted with modern humans for tens of thousands of years. They found that the youngest age for the species Homo floresiensis, nicknamed Hobbit Man was about 50,000 years ago, not 13,000 and 11,000 years as the initial claims.

The study was led by scientists from the Indonesian National Archaeology Center (Pusat Arkeologi Nasional/Arkenas) involving researchers from the Research Centre of Human Evolution (RCHE) Griffith University, Australia. The researchers found a problem with the efforts of the previous calendar in the Liang Bua cave site.

"Even seemingly Homo floresiensis seems to have disappeared shortly after our species reached Flores. It shows that 'kita' the one who delivers them to extinction, "said the expert geochronology and archaeologist in RCHE, Maxime Aubert. He shared RCHE Director, Professor Rainer measure the amount of uranium and thorium contained in H. floresiensis fossils to test their age.

"The skeletal remains of the youngest Hobbit comes from 60,000 a year ago, but the evidence for their simple stone tools continued until 50,000 years ago. After that, there was no trace of this hominin species, "said Aubert.

The Flores man discovery began when archaeologists dig at Liang Bua limestone cave in 2003, they found the bones of a human dwarf that is different from the human species today.

It is not clear their position in the human family tree. They may be descended from ancestors that normal height, which is undergoing a process of evolution shrinking her height being isolated on the island. Hobbit making stone tools, were found along with the remains of the skeletons in the cave of Liang Bua, Flores.

But the excavation covers only a small portion of the area of the cave is a vast and complex. Further excavations over the years eventually led investigators on a clearer understanding of the sequence of archaeological layers.

Now it is clear that when the previous team collected samples for dating main layers containing the Hobbit fossils, they mistakenly take it from the layers above it which same, has similar composition, but much younger.

"This problem has been corrected and a new calendar published giving a more reasonable estimate of the antiquity of this species," said Aubert.

But, what happens to the Flores man still remains a mystery.

Adam Brumm, an archaeologist of RCHE who also participated in the study said Hobbit tend to have inhabited other caves on Flores that can generate new signs of their existence. He believes H. floresiensis may suffer the same fate as Neanderthals in Europe. Both species are unable to compete with our species, and is replaced in just a few thousand years.

"They may be pushed down to the remote island of Flores, but it's a small place and they can not forever avoid our species," said Aubert. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NATIONAL GEOGRAHIC]

Yamaha 04GEN Concept has been designed to 'evoke the image of a woman with an air of dignified elegance and grace in mind and body'. When compared to regular scooter body structures – which hide the frame with exterior parts – the 04GEN only covers the frame with a pair of semi-transparent exterior wings, not too different from those insect like a dragon-fly, if we do say so ourselves.

It seem, the 04GEN follows traditional European-style scooter lines, and is slightly reminiscent of the Vespa 946, particularly in how the seat seems to hang in the air. This showcasing of the engineered interior structure also helps bring an air of lightness to the curvy body. What Yamaha have achieved here is a new design that possesses a rare beauty.

The motorcycle concept also has various features like LED lighting, two storage compartments in the front shield and a mount for using a smartphone as the instrument cluster.
Yamaha did not provide any technical details, though the "Blue Core" logo on the frame and what we can see of the swingarm and engine, the 04GEN likely uses the same powerplant as the 125 cc Single powering the Nozza Grande, a scooter offered in Vietnam. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BIKE INDIA]
