If humans never existed...

Humans have the ability to dramatically alter the environment in order to meet their needs in a way that is not the same as other species. However, changes in the environment by humans also affect animals also inhabit the earth, for example, the practice of illegal hunting.

A study that examines the diversity and distribution of animals have been trying to map the distribution of large mammals on earth would happen if humans had never existed.

The recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. Results of the study describes the reason why the African continent being the only place where the diversity of large mammals to be the highest in history. Not because the continent is profitable, but because the mammals survive and survive the onslaught of human hunting.

Researchers build a new world map to predict the spread of animals that became extinct based on ecology, biogeography, and natural conditions of the current environment. They found that if humans did not exist, diversity in America is much larger, with meadow no different from those in Africa.

The researchers assume, however, climate change at the end of the Pleistocene era not enough to kill large mammals alone. Extinction of many large mammals caused by a combination of climate change and hunting intensively conducted by humans. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | IFL SCIENCE]

Japanese scientists created touchable Hologram technology

If the hologram is known as a three-dimensional object that will not react to the touch. But a group of scientists in Japan doing the latest innovations, so that the holographic technology can be touched by humans.

By using femtosecond laser technology, the Japanese scientists develop the 'Fairy Light', which is a system that can fire high frequency laser beams, which is traveling at a millionth of a billionth of a second.

Its speciality, the laser beam can be touched by humans and holographic pixels can be manipulated in the air. The new hologram technology was presented in the research paper entitled "Fairy Lights in Femtoseconds: Aerial and Volumetric Graphics Rendered by Focused Femtosecond Laser Combined with Computational Holographic Fields" wrote by Dr. Yoichi Ochiai of Tsukuba University with his fellow scientists from Utsunomiya University Center for Optical Research and Education, Nagoya Institute of Technology and The University of Tokyo.

As reported by Pulse Headlines on Thursday, November 3, 2015, when we touch the hologram surface will feel like holding a hard and rough sandpaper. With the discovery of this new innovation, so that the future can allow humans to interact with the holograms.

"If a three-dimensional format visual image displayed and you can touch it. You can create another visual illustration become more real," said Dr. Yoichi Ochiai. Are you curious? Watch the video presentation of the technology below
The results of the further development of this technology makes it possible to create a computer keyboard made of light or allows the video chat users to experience a virtual touch with their interlocutors. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PULSE HEADLINES]

But who would have thought in 2013 has been found rostrum ceremony and two sealed rooms under the temple. Archaeologists believe they may have an opportunity to uncover the mystery that has puzzled them for centuries to uncover the tomb of some great Aztec kings.

Exploration of the hidden tunnel that leads to the mysterious chambers that had been done by researchers. They find a hallway that leads to a circular structure that resembles Cuauhxicalco, a ritual room which according to ancient reports, is used to burn the bodies of the Aztec ruler. This room is accompanied by two sealed doors that allegedly serves to keep the ruler's funeral chamber.

In announcing the discovery, researcher Leonardo Lopez Lujan explained that Cuauhxicalco is a burial character structure. "So we can speculate that behind this wall there may be two small rooms containing the remains of burning the bodies of some of the Aztec leaders," he said.

According to Lujan, judging by the age of the temple, the researchers believe that each tomb found here could be owned by some early Aztec rulers, including Montezuma I, who ruled in the period 1440-1469.

However, archaeologists asked people to not get too excited, because the excavation of this space will not begin until next year. That's mean, until today its content is still the speculation of many people.

Some observers commented that this is not the first time that expectations regarding the possibility of the discovery of the remains of the Aztec king soar, but so far it all ended in disappointment. As a result, the tradition of burial carried out after the death of the ruler of the Aztec empire remain unknown.

Evolved from the mid-14th century until 1521, the imperial growing up in most of the northern Mesoamerica, the capital of Tenochtitlán, which was founded on an island in a lake which has now dried. That location, now known as Mexico City.

Because the center is a sacred area surrounded by walls, with two sturdy towering pyramid that serves as a shrine to the sun-god Huitzilopochtli and the rain god Tlaloc. Historical records and archaeological excavations have provided details on a number of activities that take place here.

According to some reports, more than 20,000 people were slaughtered here every year, with their hearts removed from the chest and while still beating, held high as an offering to the gods.

However, in the absence of the discovery of the body of the late king, historians still do not know how the Aztec kings respected when they died, be burned, or buried no one know. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | IFL SCIENCE]

Peaches already grew since 2.6 million years ago

The study of peach fossil showed that the fruit was already lived since 2.6 million years ago, much older than previously assumed, according to the researchers on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

As much as eight peach seed fossils found in Kunming, southwestern China's which have the age of 2.6 million-year-old. According to Su Tao, a palaeoecology expert in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) as told to Xinhua news agency, the peach seed fossils was found previously has the age of no more than 10,000 years.

The peach seed fossils also reinforces the belief that the fruits originated from China. Peach tree (Prunus persica) was once believed to have originated from Persia, Central Asia, said Su Tao.

Primates probably already eating peaches before humans existed according to the joint research results of XTBG, University of Pennsylvania, the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Kunming University of Science and Technology.

Moreover, according to Su Tao, the peach seeds fossils that give scientists clues about the environment and climate at 2.6 million year ago, which could be the subject of further research.

The research results on the first peach fossil that found in 2010 was published in the British journal, Scientific Reports, in late November with the title "Peach precedes Human: Fossil evidence of China's Southwest." *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | XINHUA | LIVESCIENCE]
