Knowing the Mach Ness Jet Bike Concept

Arlen Ness's initial interest in building the Jet Bike occurred while he was watching Jay Leno rode one into an event in LA and up to the Ness truck. At that time he thought, "This is cool. I've got to have one," but after hearing it cost over $250,000. So he decided to build his own.

Barry Cooney found the jet engine, as used in helicopters, for sale on the internet. Knowing it would work, Arlen bought the turbine and set out to fit it into an old Ness frame that he cut. With a shaft coming out the end and no transmission required, Arlen used a sing chain to deliver power to the rear wheel. A clutch fitted to disengage the engine as required.

Because two 12-volts marine batteries needed to generate 24 volts needed for starting the turbine, Arlen decided to mount an electric motor with a friction drive in front of the rear wheels so that he could easily move the bike in a situation where he didn't want to start the jet. To stop the motorcycle quickly, two six-piston caliper brakes with 13-inch rotors are mounted on the front and one in back.

All other working parts come from the Ness catalog, Arlen's goals for bike was to create a long and low look which keeps the jet theme compared to other jet-powered motorcycle have been built as sport bikes.

Here are several detailed pictures of the Mach Ness Jet Bike Concept. (All pictures taken from: http://bit.ly/1WvNesH)

He loved the sound but doesn't think the engine is quite interesting to expose. To achieve this, Bob Munroe hand made an all-aluminum body that looks like the body of a jet and Carl Brouhard painted faux graphics were so detailed, it seems rust has built up behind the painted rivets from so many flight hours!
With the afterburner flames shooting back ten feet, Arlen is ready to move forward. As we knew, this one-off Mach Ness jet bike not for sale...it's just a concept motorcycle.

Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of two-wheeled monster and stay alive with the true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins.... *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ARLEN NESS]

An ominous photograph of a cloaked vehicle appeared on the W Motors social media pages with the quote, "The earth will shake violently, trees will be uprooted, mountains will fall and all binds will snap - Fenyr will be free." Okay, a bit hyperbolic indeed. :)

The presence of diamonds in the headlights, one of the Lykan Hypersport advantages, and some other special touches seem not to be available on the Fenyr Supersport. That's one way to lowered the car's price is becoming more affordable, and estimated to be approximately $1 million (Rp.13,6 billion).

New hope, an antibody treatment reduced levels of HIV

HIV is one of the most deadly diseases feared by many people. Now there is one bright spot, thanks to the invention of the first drug that can kill HIV cells.

HIV is a disease that attacks the body's immune system. All tissues, organs, and cells that serves to maintain our immune system will be attacked when the HIV virus enters the body.
Antibody treatment reduced levels of HIV in study participants for 28 days. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1PmK8Bh)
The approach, called passive immunization, involves infusing antibodies into a person's blood. Several trials are under way in humans, and researchers hope that the approach could help to prevent, treat or even cure HIV. The work is a milestone towards those goals, says Anthony Fauci, director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland. "his is an early study, but it’s a study with some impressive results," he says.

Antibodies named '3BNC117' this could kill the HIV virus, not just suppress growth. The good news, this drug also has been tested right now to humans. Researchers tested four different doses of an HIV antibody called 3BNC117 in 29 people in the United States and Germany. Seventeen of the participants had HIV, and 15 of those were not taking antiretroviral (ARV) drugs at the time of the study. One infusion of the highest dose of antibody, given to 8 participants, cut the amount of virus in their blood by between 8 and 250 times for 28 days.

In two weeks, the HIV virus in the patient's body has been reduced to 300 times less. Although this is very encouraging news, scientists do not want to fall asleep. They are still investigating whether the effect of this drug is a long-term effect or only a temporary effect. Hopefully this effect can last for a long time that people with HIV can be cured. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NATURE]

Scientists have found fossils of baby dinosaurs

A joint team of paleontologists from Belgium, France and Mongolia unearthed perinatal specimens of the giant hadrosaur, Saurolophus angustirostris together the egg shell fragments in an area called Dragon's Tomb.
Dragon's Tomb, in the Nemegt basin (marked) in the northwestern Gobi Desert, is a well-known location for finding Late Cretaceous dinosaur fossils. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1WjYumC)
Scientists said the specimen babies were found close to the eggshell fragments that may be in the early stages of development. Scientists also suspect the babies all come from the same nest.
The remains of a litter of 'duckbilled' dinosaurs have been discovered in an area known as the Dragon's Tomb in Mongolia. Scientists say the specimens (one pictured) were found close to fragments of eggshell and that the 'babies' were probably in the earliest stages of development. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1WjYumC)
Three of the four perinatal specimens and two shell fragments have been successfully described by scientists. They say that this little dinosaur-dinosarus derived from the nest located on the edge of the river.
This image is a close-up of a cervical vertebra, showing the suture dividing the neural arch. The fibrous and spongy bone texture suggests that they had not fused and were still in development. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1WjYumC)
Scientists are not sure whether the poor babies still inside the eggs or newly hatched when they die. However, they die and decompose when they are buried in the silt of the river in the wet summer.

Dragon's Tomb which is located in the Nemegt Basin in the northwest of the Gobi Desert is famous locations to find the remains of dinosaurs in the late Cretaceous era.
Scientists say the young dinosaurs were likely part of a nest originally located on a river sandbank. They believe that the specimens were probably Saurolophus angustirostris (illustrated) - a type of giant hadrosaur - and that they are all likely to be from the same nest. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1WjYumC)
Leonard Dewaele, from Ghent University said, "The length of the skull Saurolophus found about 5 percent of the largest specimens of S. angustirostris found. "It shows that they are still in the early development stage," said Dewaele.

Dewaele said the fossilized shells fragment has a close kinship with the Mongolian origin specimen S. angustirostres. "They can give a new bright spot in the human knowledge about the development of S. angustirostris. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYMAIL]
