The spotlight is now on the concept iteration of the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, a stalwart in Mercedes-Benz's lineup for years. Ola Kallenius, the Head of Management at the Mercedes-Benz Group, declared that the CLA Concept represents the inception of a transformative journey towards an all-new electric vehicle, elevating the standards of luxury within this segment. "All of these models are designed to fulfill one mission: To redefine every aspect of what customers can expect in this format," Ola stated in a press release on Friday, September 1.

The CLA Concept car serves as the inaugural model built on Mercedes' cutting-edge platform, the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA). The arrival of the CLA and this new platform signifies a significant leap forward in the manufacturer's pursuit of electrification. The vehicle will harness an exceptionally efficient propulsion system, inspired by the Vision EQXX.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept has earned the moniker "Hypermiler" due to its remarkable range, exceeding 750 kilometers as per the WLTP cycle, while consuming a mere 12 kWh/100 km of energy.

Additionally, the German automaker has provided a glimpse into the design of this concept vehicle. The latest CLA Concept proudly showcases its front fascia, featuring a prominent display resembling the iconic Mercedes-Benz star logo.

Although details remain limited, the latest Mercedes CLA Concept embodies the brand's most recent design language and a palpable sense of luxury.

With the introduction of this model, the preview version of the CLA joins the ranks of other electric concept cars like the Vision EQXX and Vision One-Eleven. This reaffirms Mercedes' unwavering commitment to producing an expanding fleet of electric vehicles by 2025.
