The Wind conqueror supercar

The battle of the super fast and expensive cars will be more fierce. The hypercar manufacturers, Pagani also showed their latest Huayra as Zonda substitute which will be priced at 1 million Euros or approximately U.S. $1.31 million (or Rp. 12.7 billion). In the trial period the car is often referred as C9.

Pagani says that the Huayra was named after Aymara Huayra Tata, god of wind, and although the name seems impossible to pronounce at first glance, it just may be the most fitting name possible for a car dedicated so thoroughly to taming and conquering the wind.

Huayra name was seemingly not excessive. Because the car which uses an AMG Mercedes-sourced 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which in this application cranks out an astonishing 700 horsepower at 6,300 rpm, with torque up to 900 Nm at 2,500 - 4,500 rpm to go along with it. Pagani Huayra was capable of driving up to 370 mph (595 kph) and accelerates from rest to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 3.3 seconds. The ability to accelerate quickly it was helped by an aerodynamic body design and also using the unique Pzero Rosso tires from Pirelli in order to withstand the immense acceleration and top speed well over 200 mph (322 kph).

The power is transferred from the engine to the wheels thanks to a seven-speed sequential gearbox cross and a dual-disc clutch, dry, which shaved 70 kg of weight from the vehicle. In fact, the entire transmission weighs in at a scant 96 kg. Much of the suspension comes from the Zonda R, and as such, enjoys the benefits of having plenty of testing hours behind it.

Carbon fiber is light but strong was also helped Pagani Huayra run fast. Pagani claims, Huayra made ​​almost like a plane wing in which the body is designed to cut the wind and use it to push more power. Pagani made sure to strip as much weight as possible without compromising chassis strength, utilizing a carbon-titanium chassis and forged aluminum alloy suspension parts. The end result is an impressive total dry weight of under 3,000 lbs (1,300 kg), distributed 56 percent to the rear, and 44 percent to the front.

Amongst the questionable design cues are also some much welcomed additions, such as bi-xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lamps. Out back, this Pagani features the tell-tale center-mounted quad exhaust tips and a carbon fiber rear fascia to help with aerodynamics. The exotic automaker also equipped the Huayra with two active flaps for the rear of the vehicle, intended to automatically adjust based on then-current speed and handling requirements.

Pagani Huayra is a special breed of exotic supercar - some may even call it a hypercar - meant to compete with only the fastest exotics in the world.
