Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS: The Netherlands’ Wildest Four-Door Supercar
Yachtbred Fury- When you think about supercars, the
usual suspects come to mind—sleek Italian designs, German engineering
precision, maybe a British badge here or there. But tucked away in the
creative heart of the Netherlands, a different kind of dream was quietly
taking shape. Not one rooted in tradition or predictability, but one
born from the minds of two ambitious Dutch visionaries who dared to
think beyond the ordinary. Their creation? A rare gem on wheels known as
the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS—a name that still stirs curiosity even years after its first public debut.

Unveiled to the world at Monaco’s Top Marques show back in April 2011, the Roadyacht GTS instantly turned heads—not just for its flamboyant looks, but because it broke nearly every rule in the supercar playbook. Designed by Emile Pop and Justin de Boer, this machine wasn’t just a car; it was the embodiment of a wild idea: to fuse the luxury of a yacht with the brute power of a high-performance vehicle. And perhaps most unusually, they gave it four doors. That’s right—four doors and a topless-on-demand roof. It’s the kind of sentence you don’t often hear in automotive circles, which is exactly what made it so bold.

Savage Rivale didn’t chase convention. They sculpted the Roadyacht GTSwith carbon fiber panels layered over a strong yet lightweight chrome molybdenum chassis. Up front, you’d find wing-style doors, while the rear features suicide-style counterparts—an intentional design choice to enhance its theatrical presence. And let’s not ignore the wheels: a magnesium-carbon fiber combination that screams performance. Add a titanium exhaust to the mix, and you’re looking at a machine that sounds just as outrageous as it looks.

But there’s more than just looks here. Under the hood sits a powerhouse: a 670-horsepower V8 engine that pushes the Roadyachtfrom 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed? An exhilarating 330 km/h. Numbers like that firmly place this car in supercar territory. To keep it all under control, the Roadyacht GTS is equipped with advanced double wishbone suspension at both ends and high-performance brakes: eight-piston monobloc calipers clamping down on massive 380mm discs up front, and four-piston 355mm brakes in the rear.

Inside, the theme shifts from adrenaline to elegance. Inspired by luxury yachts, the cabin reflects a lifestyle rather than a mere driving experience. It’s not just about going fast—it’s about traveling in a manner that makes a statement, loudly and clearly.

With only 20 units planned for production, and each painted in one of just three exclusive color options, exclusivity was built into the DNA of this Dutch road beast. At the time, Savage Rivale had already secured a few eager buyers and aimed for the first customer deliveries in 2013, following more extensive testing and a formal global reveal at a major Middle Eastern auto show.
Now, looking back from the vantage point of today, the Roadyacht GTS feels even more like a cult classic—a vehicle so rare and unconventional, it exists almost outside the boundaries of automotive trends. It didn’t just challenge the rulebook, it wrote its own chapter. Though Savage Rivale hasn’t been in the spotlight lately, the Roadyacht GTS remains a fascinating reminder of what happens when creativity takes the wheel and ambition refuses to be tamed.
Because sometimes, all it takes to stand out in a world of lookalikes is a crazy dream, two pairs of suicide doors, and a little bit of Dutch daring.. *** [EKA [05092012] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SAVAGE RIVALE | CARBUZZ | TOPSPEED | NEWATLAS | AUTOWORLD]
