The vehicles driven by four electric motors that get their power from a lithium-ion battery pack. The power supply for batteries obtained from solar panels that collect solar energy. The one-off vehicle is also equipped with two stereoscopic cameras and a scientific camera.

Moon's gravity is lower than the Earth because it is made of aluminum body structure in order to keep it has an ideal weight. Lunar Quattro can only accelerate from 2.2 mph (3.5 kph/one meter per second), Audi said it was enough to venture on the Moon's surface.

The Lunar Quattro development is done as part of a Google's Lunar XPRIZE competition in 2007. There is a reward of $30 million for anyone who first made the vehicle that will successfully land on the Moon and explore it for at least 500 meters. The team will also transmit HD videos and images to Earth. Part-Time Scientists is one of five teams still in the running, so the competition is far from won.
Although Lunar Quattro wearing an Audi emblem, but the Part-Time Scientists as the main developer. Lunar Quattro is scheduled to fly in 2017 and landed in the north of the Moon's equator near the Apollo 17's landing site, the last mission of human flight to the Moon in 1972. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PT SCIENTISTS | LEFTLANENEWS]

Mando Chainless e-Bike

Mando, a South Korean automotive parts company managed to create a chainless electric bicycle named 'Mando Footloose IM'. According to Mando, this bike is nothing but an 'electric car on two wheels'.

According to TS Lee, Executive Director, Mando's Smart Personal Mobility Division, this bike is made to provide alternative transportation to the people. "We wanted to create a new way for the mobility of people, especially in urban locations," said Lee, as quoted by Forbes on Tuesday, June 30,2015.

According to Navigant Research, the electric bicycle industry has great potential in the future. They predict 47 million e-bikes will be sold in 2018. Thus, it is good if there are companies that start seriously develop it now.

The main difference between Mando Footloose IM with other electric bikes is its chainless design. With this Mando bike while the rider feet pedaling will charge the lithium ion battery-powered 250 watt.

There is also an LCD control unit as the bike's control center. In addition, this device also became a kind of bicycle locks. When LCD is removed, then the bike will not run.
This chainless electric bicycles uses aluminum frame coated with plastic material. By design, this bike looks so futuristic. Mando provide this bike in five colors which are equally interesting, ie black, black-white, light blue, dark gray, and white. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MANDO FOOTLOOSE | FORBES]

Looked the design of Lamborghini Cnossus concept

Do you know if in the year 2010, there is a unique design concept of the family of Lamborghini supercar designed by a Russian student named Victor Filipchenko?

This is the Lamborghini Cnossus, its name derived from the ancient Greek city of Knossos on the island of Crete. The name sounds very different when compared with the names of the Lamborghini generation in general that always smelled with the term of bull fighting.

It looks like it is not an important point that wants to be focused by Filipchenko as a designer. He clearly has its own dreams when forming this Lamborghini Cnossus project, with the help of his Portuguese colleague Nelson Simoes as part of their final thesis project at Italy's Scuola Politecnica di Design.

As quoted of Carscoops, the designer admitted that he was inspired by the Lamborghini Countach and thought for plugging his dream concept entirely into the Lamborghini Reventon were phenomenal. Later was born the Lamborghini Cnossus concept albeit in miniature.
What do you think about the design? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]

The world's first 3D printed sports car

This sports car has a light weight and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in two seconds is different to that had been circulating on the highway. The reason is, this is the first sportscar produced by using the three-dimensional printer.

As reported by the Daily Mail on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, a San Francisco-based company, Divergent Microfactories, said their sportscar named 'Blade' was made by using carbon materials and aluminum.
The Blade is the first 3D printed supercar, and has a 700-horsepower engine that can use either compressed natural gas or gasoline. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1IefWpD)
The prototype model of Divergent Microfactories Blade brings a very unique design, with futuristic themed. Its curved hollow body reminiscent the combination of Tamiya (Japanese car models) and the vehicles in the 'Tron' sci-fi movie. Its cockpit section extends into the future, then there is a series of vertical lights, scissor door, one seat for the driver, as well as the outside air filter like cobwebs and beehives.

The most fundamental difference in the Blade is the manufacture of the body. Car utilizes a modular chassis-based 3D printing aluminum nodes and connecting rods from aircraft grade carbon fiber. In theory, this technique allows us to construct an aluminum node into any shape. The combination of both materials cause Blade remain mild. Its chassis weight amounted to only about 46 kilograms.

The Evo technology is equally interesting because it is able to switch between using petrol and compressed natural gas (CNG) are seamless. However, whether these would be the effective way to meet performance requirements?

The company feel confident, because the engine which combined the base weight of its body only 635 kilograms - very light. By cutting the influence of Earth's gravity into the car, acceleration and control of the Blade so better. If DM Blade had entered the production stage, imagine the impact of breakthrough of its chassis design to the supercar industry.

"The society has made great strides in awareness of adopting a clean and green cars," said Kevin Czinger, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Divergent Microfactories. Production by using the 3D printers claimed by the company as one of the measures reducing industrial pollution. In addition, the cost is considered cheaper than conventional means.
"In Divergent Microfactories, we found a way to make a car that is capable of reducing the use of resources and industrial pollution," said Kevin further. Of course there is no printer in the world today who can really print frame and car body as a whole. And what the Divergent Microfactories done is prints the frame connection components by using the 3D printer. NASA reveal the image of a mysterious pyramid on Mars

Curiosity rover recently sent a photo to the Earth, which shows a pyramid on the Mars. The photos were taken through camera shots of the NASA rover. At first glance, it was similar to the great pyramids in Egypt.

However, some sources explained that the pyramid is actually only about the size of a car. Many also suspect that the pyramids are just some Martian rocks are unintentionally formed into triangular shape.

Suddenly, the image is instantly became hits on the internet and broadcast a variety of online media. This phenomenon is directly inviting a wide range of responses from scientists and space phenomenon enthusiasts, most of them would say that the shape of the pyramid could be evidence of an extraterrestrial life on Mars.

Another speculation came from the Paranormal Crucible channel on YouTube explaining that the pyramid is simply a result of intelligent design rather than a trick of light and shadow. as quoted from the Mirror website on Friday, June 26, 2015.

This is not the first time NASA has an expedition mission to Mars and even get a photo of the mysterious pyramid. Previously, many years ago, a giant pyramid in the region named `Cydonia` been found in the Viking missions in 1976. The pyramid has almost 3 kilometers long and 1 kilometer high. This pyramid is named 'D&M Pyramid', referring to the name of two researchers, DiPietro and Molenaar.

However, although impressed complicated, it turns out geological formations such as the pyramids can also be found also on Our Earth. They are usually formed as a closed glacier or frozen because of the weather. Some examples are the Mount Assiniboine in Canada and the Matterhorn in Switzerland.
Unfortunately, all of these just an interpretation of a photographic image. One way to settle the debate about whether the pyramid is actually happening by nature is to send geologists to Mars. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MIRROR]

This car will be introduced by Toyota later this year

Toyota officially introduced the Ultimate Utility Vehicle (UUV). The fierce looks car yet informed its name will be on display at the event of SEMA 2015 Show later this year in Las Vegas.

As reported by the Worldcarfans, on Thursday, June 25, 2015, the UUV was built taken a base of Toyota Tacoma 2015. In general, a car that was introduced with a matte black color finish has the grim looks.

It is at least seen through a rough front bumper and fitted with a winch and thin headlamp. Nevertheless, the structure of its side body is not so much curvature. The aggressive impression more stronger by looking at the angle-shaped fenders as well as off road tires.

In addition to the SEMA event, the car is also projected to be a part of the Ever-Better Expedition whose goal sent the Toyota engineers in order to feel the experience to drive a car which they design themselves.

Toyota itself has not released the specifications of this UUV altogether. So, not necessarily the Toyota UUV power also is in line with that ferocious shaped. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | WORLDCARFANS]

NASA secretly investigate the asteroids that caused apocalypse on Earth

More recently, came the news that reveal that the Earth was hit by a natural phenomenon, which has a central risk dealing with an asteroid. It is directly
revealed by Professor Brian Cox, a scientist and astronomy researcher from the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester.

Citing information reported by Daily Mail, Cox said that the Earth could have suffered almost doomsday event. The event here is not referring to the sound of the trumpet phenomenon that occurred some time ago, but refers to the events of the asteroids that can cross paths with the Earth.
NASA and the National Nuclear Security Administration have announced they are now working together on the possibility of destroying future hazardous asteroid using nuclear weapons. (Picture from: http://dailym.ai/1NarklX)
In March, there is a known bus-sized asteroid named '2014 EC' in a distance of about 61,637 km from Earth, or about one-sixth of the distance between the Moon and Earth. In fact, the asteroid is claimed is not the only asteroids that threaten the Earth.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has recently also is tracking the whereabouts of 1,400 asteroids that could potentially endanger the future of Earth and is expected to reach the Earth as well as providing terrible impacts on the planet.

Serious threat of the asteroids that caused apocalypse on Earth has also been described by a former astronaut, Ed Lu. He described the asteroid as a cosmic roulette, and that can make the human race can survive serious impacts just a 'blink of luck'.

At least there are about one million asteroids life near the Earth, even, could be the presence of millions of asteroids is able to threaten the Earth. The authentic evidences of the asteroid phenomenon shown is when unknown object exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia, with the force leveled 20-30 times of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. This is a shocking incident occurred after the Tunguska event in 1908. The Tunguska is extensive damage to forests in Siberia after an unidentified object entering Earth's atmosphere.
For about two decades, NASA constantly searching many dangerous asteroids that could threaten Earth with a size of more than 1 kilometer. NASA claims to have managed to break the 98 percent of them. However, a company that partnered with NASA, Planetary Resources, mentioned the new asteroid detector can detect only 1 percent of the objects that orbit the Sun. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILY MAIL]
